Football Tips – December 2021

4th Dec 2021

12:30 - West Ham v Chelsea

Chelsea to Win by One Goal @ 13/5

The Premier League starts on Saturday with a mouth-watering London derby between West Ham United and Chelsea. The Hammers have had a fine season so far, but David Moyes’ men head into this one having taken just one point from a possible nine. The Blues, who lead the way in the Premier League and are looking like the real deal this season, will be looking for all three points at the London Stadium.

Despite not being quite at their best, Chelsea beat Watford 2-1 at Vicarage Road in midweek to keep up their stunning away run. Thomas Tuchel’s Blues have the best away record in the league and have dropped just two points so far. West Ham are not an easy nut to crack at the London Stadium, but Chelsea should have enough about them to nick the points. Take a punt on the away team to win by one goal at odds of 13/5.

4th Dec 2021

12:30 - Coventry v West Brom

Draw @ 11/5

Coventry City and West Bromwich Albion do battle in the EFL Championship this Saturday at the Coventry Building Society Arena. The Sky Blues are having a brilliant season, spending most of the campaign in the top six. Ahead of this one, Coventry are just a point and two places behind the Baggies. This all-Midlands meeting could go either way and it’s a tricky one to call.

Since returning to their home, Mark Robins’ Coventry have been incredibly hard to beat on their own patch. Only Swansea City have left the Coventry Building Society Arena with all three points. West Brom have been solid at The Hawthorns but poor on the road. After four straight away defeats, Valerien Ismael’s boys did stop the rot with a 0-0 draw at Blackpool in the last one. We are backing the draw here at odds of 11/5.

4th Dec 2021

12:45 - Buxton v Morecambe

Morecambe HT/FT @ 11/10

Northern Premier League Premier Division side Buxton entertain EFL League One outfit Morecambe at The Silverlands for an FA Cup tie this Saturday afternoon. Can the non-league team upset last season’s EFL League Two play-off winners and book their spot in the third round? As expected, Buxton are the big underdogs in this cup tie but anything could happen.

The Bucks needed a replay to beat Kettering back in October. They then booked their place in round two by winning 1-0 at York a month back, with a late Diego De Girolamo goal doing the business. Stephen Robinson’s Morecambe, who sit 20th in League One right now, beat Newport County in the first round. The Shrimps should be too strong in this one, and we like the look of the price of 11/10 for Morecambe to be winning at half time and full time.

4th Dec 2021

15:00 - Wolves v Liverpool

Liverpool to Win Both Halves @ 12/5

Jurgen Klopp takes his in-form Liverpool side to Molineux this Saturday afternoon to face Bruno Lage’s Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League. Fresh from their outstanding Merseyside derby win at Everton, the Reds will be eyeing up another three points on the road. Wolves are in good form, though, losing just one of their last ten league games.

Wanderers have been solid on their own patch in recent months, collecting 10 points from the last 12 on offer. Since suffering their one and only defeat of the season, Liverpool have bounced back with four straight league and cup wins, scoring 14 times along the way. Our money has to go on a comfortable Liverpool win in this one. Check out the tempting odds of 12/5 for the away team to win both halves in the West Midlands.

4th Dec 2021

17:30 - Watford v Manchester City

Manchester City HT/FT @ 8/13

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City make the trip to Vicarage Road to play Claudio Ranieri’s Watford on Saturday evening in the Premier League. In their last two at home, the Hornets have thumped Manchester United and given leaders Chelsea a good game. However, Watford are the big underdogs in this one, with the bookies offering a big price of 11/1 for a home win.

Man City secured a sixth straight victory in midweek, edging past Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa at Villa Park. As for Watford, they lost by the same scoreline to Chelsea. The Citizens have squeezed past West Ham United and Villa in the last two, but we fancy the champions to dominate this one from start to finish. Put some money on Pep’s boys to be winning at half time and full time at Vicarage Road at odds of 8/13.

4th Dec 2021

17:30 - Yeovil v Stevenage

Draw & BTTS @ 10/3

On Saturday night in the second round of the FA Cup, Darren Sarll’s Yeovil Town welcome Paul Tisdale’s Stevenage to Huish Park. Yeovil are plying their trade in the National League these days, while Stevenage finished 14th in EFL League Two last term. This promises to be an intriguing cup tie in Somerset.

In round one, Tisdale’s Boro edged past MK Dons. After a 2-2 draw at the Stadium MK, Stevenage beat the EFL League One team 2-1 at the Lamex Stadium. Yeovil thumped Yate Town 5-0 away from home in the previous round, with five different players getting on the scoresheet in Gloucester. Yeovil will give Stevenage a good game at Huish Park, and we fancy this to end all square – back the draw and both teams to score at the solid price of 10/3.

5th Dec 2021

12:15 - Rochdale v Plymouth

Plymouth Argyle to Win -1 Goal @ 11/4

Robbie Stockdale’s Rochdale and Ryan Lowe’s Plymouth Argyle go head-to-head at Spotland Stadium this Sunday in the FA Cup. The Pilgrims are sitting in fourth place in EFL League One right now, while Dale are 13th in EFL League Two. Promotion will be Plymouth’s main aim this season, but Lowe’s men will want to book their place in the third round of the FA Cup.

Both teams needed replays in the first round. Rochdale edged past Notts County, winning 2-1 away after a 1-1 home draw. Plymouth drew 0-0 with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough before beating the Owls 3-0 at Home Park. They have lost three in a row in the league, but we fancy Argyle to get back on track with a comfortable win in the cup. Take a punt on the visitors to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 11/4.

5th Dec 2021

14:30 - QPR v Stoke

Queens Park Rangers to Win to Nil @ 3/1

Mark Warburton’s Queens Park Rangers and Michael O’Neill’s Stoke City square off at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium in the EFL Championship on Sunday afternoon. QPR shot up to third after Monday’s win at Derby County, while Stoke are two points adrift of the play-offs in seventh position. This promises to be a fascinating Championship fixture in the capital and one that could feasibly go either way.

QPR have been one of the surprise packages in the Championship so far. Rangers have won half of their 20 games and sit pretty in third place in the table. The Potters have been in patchy form of late, winning three and losing two of their last five games. The Hoops have been very good at home this season, and we are backing them to chalk up another three points here. QPR have won without conceding eight times this term – you can get odds of 3/1 for the in-form hosts to win to nil again, which certainly looks worth considering.

5th Dec 2021

16:30 - Aston Villa v Leicester

Aston Villa to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

Aston Villa and Leicester City lock horns at Villa Park this Sunday in the Premier League. The Villans were beaten by Manchester City in midweek but have seemingly turned a corner under new boss Steven Gerrard. As for Brendan Rodgers’ Foxes, they are unbeaten in three in all competitions. Who will win this all-Midlands match at Villa Park?

Before the Man City loss, Gerrard had started life at Aston Villa with two wins from two. They beat Brighton and Hove Albion at home before winning 2-1 at Crystal Palace. Leicester have been tough to beat of late, but we fancy the Villans to keep up their fine form with a narrow home win. Check out the decent odds of 3/1 for the home team to win by one goal on Sunday.

5th Dec 2021

17:15 - Salford v Chesterfield

Chesterfield Win @ 18/5

On Sunday evening, Salford City and Chesterfield lock horns at Moor Lane in the second round of the FA Cup. Salford of EFL League Two are the favourites in this one, but the National League Spireites will no doubt give Gary Bowyer’s boys a good cup tie. These two clubs have only met twice before, with the sides picking up a win apiece.

Salford, who are mid-table in League Two, beat Dagenham and Redbridge 1-0 in the previous round. As for Chesterfield, they got the better of Curzon Ashton before beating Southend United 3-1 at home in round one. Chesterfield are top of the National League and look like a good bet to return to the Football League, and we fancy them to upset Salford in the cup on Sunday. The away win is available at odds of 18/5.

6th Dec 2021

19:45 - Boreham Wood v St Albans

Boreham Wood to Win -1 Goal @ 7/5

National League outfit Boreham Wood welcome National League South side St Albans City to Meadow Park for a second round FA Cup tie on Monday night. With a place in third round and a potential game against a Premier League giant up for grabs, both non-league teams will be gunning for victory in this cup clash.

Luke Garrard’s men are flying in the National League right now, sitting second behind Chesterfield. They have beaten Barnet and Eastleigh without conceding to reach round two. St Albans, who are seventh in the National League South at present, saw off EFL League Two club Forest Green Rovers in the previous round. However, our money is going on the hosts in this one – the home team are nicely priced at 7/5 to win with a -1 goal handicap.

6th Dec 2021

20:00 - Everton v Arsenal

Draw & BTTS @ 7/2

On Monday night in the Premier League, Everton entertain Arsenal at Goodison Park. Rafa Benitez is the favourite in the Premier League sack race after Everton were thumped by rivals Liverpool last time out and on current form, his days could be well and truly numbered. After two defeats of their own in their last three, Mikel Arteta’s men will be looking for all three points against the struggling Toffees.

Arsenal have generally been in excellent form of late, but the Gunners have lost at Liverpool and Manchester United in their last two away games. As for the Toffees, they are winless from their last eight games in the Premier League, suffering six defeats along the way. The pressure is on Rafa in this one, but we can see his side holding Arsenal to a draw at Goodison. There is good value in the draw and both teams to score at odds of 7/2.

7th Dec 2021

17:45 - RB Leipzig v Manchester City

Manchester City to Win -2 Goals @ 11/2

Pep Guardiola takes his high-flying Manchester City troops to Germany on Tuesday to face Achim Beierlorzer’s RB Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena in the UEFA Champions League. The Premier League champions have already won Group A and booked their spot in the last 16, but Man City will be looking for all three points on German soil to keep their momentum going.

RB Leipzig have had a poor Champions League campaign and have collected just four points from their five group matches to date. Last time out, though, they did manage to thump Club Brugge 5-0 at the Jan Breydel Stadium. Man City have sparkled in Europe this season, winning four out of their five games and scoring 17 goals in the process. The Citizens beat Leipzig 6-3 in the reverse game, and you can get the top odds of 11/2 for Pep’s troops to win with a -2 goal handicap in Germany in midweek.

7th Dec 2021

20:00 - AC Milan v Liverpool

Liverpool Win & BTTS @ 9/2

AC Milan and Liverpool lock horns in the San Siro in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night. The Reds have been one of the best teams in Europe this season and Jurgen Klopp’s boys will want to end Group B with 18 points from a possible 18. The home side are the favourites, but Liverpool will fancy their chances in Milan after putting in some very fine displays of late.

These two giants were involved in a five-goal thriller at Anfield three months back, with the Reds running out 3-2 winners. Liverpool have taken maximum points in the group, while Milan have picked up just four so far. The race for second place is fascinating, with Porto on five points and Atletico Madrid also on four. Milan are desperate for the points, but our money is going on Liverpool to get the job done so we’ll be backing the away win and both teams to score at nice odds of 9/2.

7th Dec 2021

20:00 - Real Madrid v Inter Milan

Real Madrid to Win to by One Goal @ 3/1

Two European heavyweights go head-to-head at the Santiago Bernabeu in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, as Real Madrid host Inter Milan. The clubs are safely through to the last 16, but the winner of Group D has yet to be decided. Real just need a point, while an Inter victory will see the Italians finish top of the group.

Both teams have had their issues along the way, but the pair are safely through to the knockout stages with a game to spare. When the giants squared off at the San Siro in September, a last-gasp Rodrygo goal gave the Spanish side a much-needed 1-0 win. Tuesday’s clash could be another close encounter, and we like the look of the 3/1 available for the hosts to win by one goal.

8th Dec 2021

17:45 - Zenit v Chelsea

Chelsea to Win to Nil @ 8/5

Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea are already through to the last 16 of this season’s UEFA Champions League, but the Blues and Juventus are tied on 12 points each in Group H. This Wednesday, Chelsea make the trip to the Krestovsky Stadium in Russia to face Sergei Semak’s Zenit Saint Petersburg. The Premier League giants will want all three points from this one to finish as top dogs and hopefully get themselves an easier draw in the next round.

Chelsea suffered a rare defeat last time out, letting the lead slip twice to lose 3-2 to London rivals West Ham United. After the disappointment at the London Stadium, the Blues will be hoping to hit back with a win at the first time of asking. Chelsea have kept clean sheets in all of their Group H wins so far and they will be eager to do likewise in this one. Check out the solid price of 8/5 for the Londoners to win to nil in Russia on Wednesday.

8th Dec 2021

20:00 - Manchester United v Young Boys

Manchester United HT/FT @ 21/20

Manchester United end the group stage of the UEFA Champions League with a game against Young Boys at Old Trafford on Wednesday night. Ralf Rangnick picked up a narrow 1-0 home Premier League win over Crystal Palace in his first game in charge at the weekend – will the experienced German make it two wins out of two this Wednesday?

The Red Devils made sure of a place in the Round of 16 with a vital victory at Villarreal last month. United are top of Group F after three wins, one draw and a defeat. They have got the job done with a game to spare, but Man United will be looking to get revenge for the defeat in Bern in September. The hosts are the big favourites, and we are backing United to be winning at half time and full time at odds of 21/20.

8th Dec 2021

20:00 - Bayern Munich v Barcelona

Bayern Munich to Win -1 Goal @ 6/4

European powerhouses Bayern Munich and Barcelona go head-to-head at the Allianz Arena this Wednesday in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League. Bayern have been sensational so far, taking maximum points to win Group E at a canter. Can they make it six wins out of six against struggling Barca in midweek?

On matchday one, the German giants picked up an impressive 3-0 win in the Camp Nou, with Robert Lewandowski (2) and Thomas Muller on target. The Bavarians have kicked on since then, while Barca have taken seven points from the following 12 on offer. A Benfica win coupled with a Barcelona defeat would see the Spanish heavyweights drop into the UEFA Europa League. Unfortunately for Barca, our money is on Bayern to win with a -1 goal handicap at the decent odds of 6/4.

9th Dec 2021

17:45 - Lyon v Rangers

Lyon to Win to Nil @ 3/1

Peter Bosz’s Lyon and Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Rangers lock horns at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Group A of the UEFA Europa League this Thursday. Both clubs are already through to the Round of 16 but they’ll both still want to finish this stage of the tournament on a high. The Ligue 1 side have been sensational so far, winning five out of five to win the group. The Gers have picked up seven points from a possible 15 and will finish runners-up, though they’ll be gunning for what would be an impressive victory.

Lyon are the only team in this season’s Europa League with a 100% record. Bosz’s boys have been outstanding in Group A, collecting 15 points and scoring 15 goals in the process. When these two sides clashed at Ibrox back in September, the French outfit ran out deserved 2-0 winners. We can see a similar outcome here, and you can get odds of 3/1 for the hosts to win to nil.

9th Dec 2021

17:45 - Napoli v Leicester

Draw & BTTS @ 7/2

Brendan Rodgers takes his Leicester City troops to the Stadio San Paolo in Naples this Thursday to play Luciano Spalletti’s Napoli in the UEFA Europa League. Group C is wide open as only two points separate Leicester at the top to Legia Warsaw in fourth. Spartak Moscow are Napoli both have seven points. A draw would take the Foxes through to the last 16 and they’ll be confident of achieving that goal despite not exactly excelling on the continent as yet.

Leicester have been in patchy form in Europe this season, with City winning two, drawing two and losing one of their five games thus far. Still, Rodgers’ troops went to the top of Group C with a 3-1 home victory over Warsaw last time out. Napoli are always dangerous opponents and possess quality all over the park, but Leicester will fancy their chances of leaving the Stadio San Paolo with a point. Back the draw and both teams to score at a fair price of 7/2.

9th Dec 2021

20:00 - Celtic v Real Betis

Real Betis Win @ 13/10

Celtic end Group G of the UEFA Europa League with a game against Real Betis at Celtic Park on Thursday night. The Bhoys have missed out on the last 16 but have qualified for the UEFA Europa Conference League. As for Betis, they will join Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League’s Round of 16. Who will come out on top in Glasgow this Thursday night?

Celtic’s two wins over Ferencvarosi proved enough for a spot in the Europa Conference League. However, they have had a poor European campaign on the whole, losing the other three games and shipping 13 goals in their five fixtures. Real Betis are safely through, but Manuel Pellegrini’s men will be looking for all three points at Celtic Park. Put some money on the visitors to prevail at the decent price of 13/10 as Celtic bow out of this competition.

9th Dec 2021

20:00 - West Ham v Dinamo Zagreb

West Ham United to Win -1 Goal @ 12/5

West Ham United are already preparing for the Round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League after winning Group H with ease. David Moyes’ Hammers have won four and drawn one of their five group fixtures. West Ham will be looking for another victory when Dinamo Zagreb make the trip to the London Stadium this Thursday night.

The Irons have had a European campaign to remember so far, taking 13 points from a possible 15 and scoring 11 goals. Zagreb are in pole position to take second place and join the Premier League team in the last 16, but we fancy West Ham to finish with another win. Michail Antonio and Declan Rice netted in a 2-0 win in Croatia back in September, and we like the look of the 12/5 available for United to win with a -1 goal handicap again.

9th Dec 2021

20:00 - Tottenham v Rennes

Tottenham Hotspur Win & Over 2.5 Goals @ 6/5

Tottenham Hotspur still have work to do in the group stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League. After a poor Group G campaign, Spurs cannot qualify directly to the last 16 but can still make the preliminary knockout round. Antonio Conte’s men will be looking for all three points when Group G winners Rennes visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Thursday.

The French team are through after taking 11 points from a possible 15, while Tottenham and Vitesse are level on seven points apiece in the race for second. The Dutch outfit have the easier game on paper, but Conte’s troops will back themselves to get the job done at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This could be a cracker of a match, so take a punt on the home win and over 2.5 goals at nice odds of 6/5.

10th Dec 2021

20:00 - Brentford v Watford

Brentford to Win by One Goal @ 11/4

Thomas Frank’s Brentford and Claudio Ranieri’s Watford do battle at the Brentford Community Stadium in a huge Premier League fixture on Friday night. These two clubs are likely to be in the relegation battle this season, so a win for either could be vital ahead of the hectic festive schedule. The Bees are the bookies’ favourites at evens but having started the season so brightly they have not been quite as good of late.

Brentford started really well but have hit a rough patch of form lately. The London side head into this one having won just one of their last eight, a poor run that has seen them slide down the table. Watford have also struggled this season, and Ranieri’s men travel to the capital on a three-game losing streak, despite enjoying the odd good result under the Italian. Both teams will be desperate for the points, but our money is going on the hosts. The Bees’ last three league and cup wins have all been by just the one goal, and you can get nice odds of 11/4 for the home side to win by one on Friday.

11th Dec 2021

12:30 - Manchester City v Wolves

Manchester City HT/FT @ 8/13

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Bruno Lage’s Wolverhampton Wanderers meet in Premier League action this Saturday at the Etihad Stadium. City went to the top of the league after last weekend’s results, and they head into this one having won five on the spin in the Premier League. Guardiola’s boys will be looking for six in a row on Saturday and they know they cannot afford many slips given just how good Chelsea and Liverpool are.

It might not be easy though as Wolves have been in good form of late, though the Midlands club fell to a last-gasp defeat to Liverpool last Saturday. A somewhat changed Man City were beaten at RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League in midweek with top spot in the group already secured, but the Premier League champions should strike back with a comfortable home league victory at the weekend. Take a look at the decent odds of 8/13 for Man City to be winning at half time and full time.

11th Dec 2021

12:30 - Huddersfield v Coventry

Draw & BTTS @ 7/2

The EFL Championship weekend kicks off on Saturday afternoon when Huddersfield Town and Coventry City go head-to-head at the John Smith’s Stadium. The Sky Blues will be looking for a win after going four games without one, but the Terriers are not an easy nut to crack on their own patch. This one could go either way.

Huddersfield had won four and drawn one of five at home before the narrow defeat to Middlesbrough in their last fixture at the John Smith’s. As for City, they have picked up just one away win since August. Both teams will be gunning for all three points in West Yorkshire on Saturday, but we can see the pair cancelling each other out. Check out the draw and both teams to score at the big odds of 7/2.

11th Dec 2021

15:00 - Arsenal v Southampton

Arsenal to Win -1 Goal @ 13/8

Arsenal and Southampton clash at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon. Mikel Arteta’s men will be desperate to bounce back with a win after the gut-wrenching defeat at Everton last Monday when a stoppage time wondergoal from Demarai Gray condemned them to defeat. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Saints are without a victory in four after two losses and two draws. The Gunners are the odds-on favourites to come out on top.

Arsenal’s momentum has halted in recent weeks after three defeats in their last four. However, all of those losses have come away from home, and the London side are unbeaten at the Emirates since August. Arsenal have won seven and drawn one of their last eight on their own patch, and we fancy them to ease past struggling Southampton on Saturday. Have a punt on the home side to win -1, which is available at the very solid looking price of 13/8 for those who shop around a little.

11th Dec 2021

15:00 - Chelsea v Leeds

Chelsea to Win Both Halves @ 2/1

Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea will be looking to return to winning ways after the West Ham United defeat when Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United visit Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The Blues gave up top spot last weekend after losing at the London Stadium, while Manchester City and Liverpool both won. The Pensioners were not at their best and whilst Leeds will be tough opposition, Chelsea should get the points on home turf.

Tuchel’s troops have had their issues at the Bridge of late, drawing with Burnley and Manchester United in their last two home league games. Still, only Man City have won on their patch this season. Leeds have had a tough campaign up until now, but the Yorkshire club have lost just one of their past seven. Unfortunately for United, our money is going on Chelsea in this one. The away side will be without the injured Kalvin Phillips who is such a key man for them. Patrick Bamford and Luke Ayling may start but the loss of the England midfielder means we have to go with the hosts. We like the look of odds of 2/1 for the hosts to win both halves.

11th Dec 2021

15:00 - Liverpool v Aston Villa

Liverpool to Win -2 Goals @ 6/4

Steven Gerrard heads back to Anfield this weekend as Aston Villa travel to Merseyside to face Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the Premier League. Gerrard has made an outstanding impact at Villa Park since arriving from Rangers, winning three of four and he is sure to get a truly rapturous welcome even in the opposition dugout. Some will view this as an audition for the job on the home bench and there seems little doubt that the former Liverpool legend has what it takes to be a top manager. However, the in-form Reds head into this one as the clear favourites with the bookies and we agree that “Stevie G’s” Anfield return may not be a fun one.

Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League victory in Milan in midweek was their sixth consecutive success in all competitions and came despite a number of changes in personnel. After a 3-2 loss at West Ham United a month back, which remains their only defeat of the season, Klopp’s boys have won four in a row in the league, scoring 13 times along the way. Gerrard has started well at Villa, but our money is going on an easy Liverpool victory here. Back the Reds to win -2 at 6/4.

11th Dec 2021

17:30 - Norwich v Manchester United

Manchester United to Win to Nil @ 8/5

Saturday evening’s Premier League game comes from Carrow Road as Dean Smith’s Norwich City entertain Ralf Rangnick’s Manchester United. Rangnick secured a win in his first game in charge last weekend, and the Red Devils will be hoping to build on that with three points here. Norwich have picked up in recent weeks, but the Canaries dropped back to the foot of the table last time out and continue to look like a side that is really up against it.

A late Fred goal gave United a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace in Rangnick’s first match last Sunday. Prior to that, Michael Carrick had guided the club to a draw at Stamford Bridge and a home win over rivals Arsenal. With Norwich propping up the table, Man United should take home all three points from their trip to Norfolk. There is good value in 8/5 for the away win to nil.

12th Dec 2021

14:00 - Brighton v Tottenham

Draw & BTTS @ 15/4

Please note that this match is postponed.

Brighton and Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur meet at the Amex Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. The Seagulls made a stunning start to their season but have not won a league match since September. Spurs are unbeaten in the Premier League since Antonio Conte arrived and our starting to play some very nice football. Which way will this fascinating fixture go at the Amex?

Graham Potter’s Brighton have failed to win any of their last 10 Premier League games, though eight of those have ended in draws. So on the one hand, they haven’t been great, but the flip side is that only Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea have suffered fewer defeats. Tottenham have improved under Conte, but this will be a stern test for the London side. Albion are the draw specialists in the Premier League this term, and we can see this ending all square. As such we’ll be backing the draw and both teams to score at odds of 15/4.

12th Dec 2021

14:00 - Leicester v Newcastle

Newcastle United to Win by One Goal @ 11/4

Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United do battle at the King Power Stadium in Premier League action this Sunday. The Magpies finally picked up their first win of the season, beating Burnley at home last time out. Can United shock the inconsistent Foxes at the King Power? The away win is available at odds of 15/4, which might well tempt some punters.

Leicester have blown hot and cold of late, losing half of their last six Premier League fixtures. There has been a big improvement at St James’ Park since Howe arrived, and Newcastle head to the King Power having picked up four points from their last two matches. They may be the underdogs, but we are backing Newcastle to nick a victory in the Midlands. Put some money on the visitors to win by one goal at a nice price of 11/4.

12th Dec 2021

16:30 - Crystal Palace v Everton

Everton Win @ 23/10

Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace and Rafa Benitez’s Everton go head-to-head at Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles could do with the points after three straight defeats. As for the Toffees, can they build on Monday’s much-needed win over Arsenal? Palace are the bookies’ favourites to get the win but it could be a close-run thing.

Vieira made a solid start to life at Selhurst Park, but the Eagles have gone off the boil recently. They have picked up just one win since that incredible victory at Manchester City and have lost their last three. Everton’s long wait for a win finally came to an end last time out, as Benitez’s boys came from behind to beat Arsenal. We can see the Toffees following that up with another win over London opposition – the away victory is available at the top price of 23/10 which looks good value to us.

13th Dec 2021

19:45 - Sheffield United v QPR

Sheffield United Win & BTTS @ 3/1

Please note that this match has been postponed.

Paul Heckingbottom’s Sheffield United and Mark Warburton’s Queens Park Rangers go head-to-head at Bramall Lane on Monday night in the EFL Championship. The Blades will be gunning for a fourth straight victory, while QPR will be hoping to return to winning ways after losing at home to Stoke City last time out. The hosts are the bookies’ favourites in this one and there will be plenty of punters agreeing with the bookies’ assessment.

Sheffield United have finally turned a corner and have won three games on the bounce. After victories over Reading and Bristol City, United won 3-2 at the Cardiff City Stadium last weekend. Rangers have had a fine season so far, but the Hoops were disappointing in last Sunday’s 2-0 home reverse to Stoke. We fancy Sheffield United to make it four wins in a row on Monday and we’ll be placing some money on the home win and both teams to score at odds of 3/1.

14th Dec 2021

19:30 - Brentford v Manchester United

Manchester United Win & BTTS @ 11/4

Please note that this match has been postponed.

Ralf Rangnick takes his Manchester United troops to the Brentford Community Stadium this Tuesday to face Thomas Frank’s Brentford in the Premier League. The Bees picked up a massive three points last time out, edging past Watford with a last-gasp penalty. As for United, they head to the capital unbeaten in six matches in all competitions and will be seeking to maintain their fine form.

Brentford’s victory over the Hornets has taken them into the top half of the Premier League table. Man United also needed a penalty to see off lowly Norwich City last time out, but the results have certainly improved since the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. This will be far from straightforward, but we fancy Rangnick’s Red Devils to nick the points in west London. Put some money on the Man United win and both teams to score at odds of 11/4.

14th Dec 2021

19:45 - Norwich v Aston Villa

Aston Villa to Win -1 Goal @ 10/3

Dean Smith welcomes his former club Aston Villa to Carrow Road this Tuesday as Norwich City entertain Steven Gerrard’s men in Premier League action. Gerrard has made a real impact at Villa Park since taking over from sacked Smith. The Canaries prop up the Premier League table, while the Villans occupy 13th spot. Who will come out on top in Norfolk on Tuesday?

Norwich started well under Smith, winning one and drawing two of the first three. However, they have fallen to back-to-back defeats to Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in the last two. Gerrard has guided Villa to three wins from five games, with the two losses coming to heavyweights Manchester City and Liverpool. We can see in-form Aston Villa easing to three points at Carrow Road in midweek. Take a punt on the Midlands team to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 10/3.

14th Dec 2021

20:00 - Manchester City v Leeds

Manchester City HT/FT @ 8/15

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United lock horns at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Tuesday night. City laboured to victory over a dogged Wolverhampton Wanderers outfit last weekend, stretching their winning run to six in the league. The champions should ease past inconsistent Leeds in midweek without too much in the way of drama.

Man City were not at their best, but Raheem Sterling’s penalty gave the leaders a vital 1-0 home victory over Wolves last time out. Leeds were involved in a five-goal thriller with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, with an injury-time Jorginho penalty giving the Blues a narrow 3-2 win. Man City will be looking to dominate this fixture from start to finish, so check out the solid price of 8/15 for the home side to be winning at half time and full time.

15th Dec 2021

19:30 - Brighton v Wolves

Draw & BTTS @ 15/4

On Wednesday night in the Premier League, Brighton and Hove Albion welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to the Amex Stadium. Wolves will still be licking their wounds after the disappointing 1-0 loss to Manchester City last time out. Can Bruno Lage’s troops bounce back with a big three points in Brighton? The Seagulls are the bookies’ favourites but this is an evenly matched contest and it could feasibly go either way.

Brighton started the season in outstanding fashion, winning six of their opening seven league and cup fixtures. However, they have not won a game in the Premier League since beating Leicester City on 19th September. Incredibly, eight of their last 10 games in the league have ended level. After the controversial loss in Manchester, Wolves would probably take a point at the Amex. There is therefore good value in the odds of 15/4 for the draw and both teams to score.

15th Dec 2021

19:30 - Burnley v Watford

Burnley to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

Burnley and Watford meet at Turf Moor on Wednesday in a huge basement battle in the Premier League. The Clarets are in the bottom three right now, two points behind the Hornets with a game in hand. Burnley have picked up just one league victory this term, while Watford have suffered 11 losses. Which way will this vital fixture go in Lancashire?

Burnley have won just one Premier League game this season, but Sean Dyche’s troops have been tough to beat. Last weekend, they held in-form West Ham United to a goalless draw at Turf Moor. Claudio Ranieri has had a tough time at Vicarage Road since taking over, losing seven of his nine games at the helm. This could go either way, but we fancy the hosts to edge it and we’ll be backing Burnley to win by one goal at a price of 3/1.

15th Dec 2021

19:30 - Crystal Palace v Southampton

Crystal Palace to Win -1 Goal @ 10/3

Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace and Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton lock horns in the Premier League this Wednesday at Selhurst Park. Palace will still be buzzing from Sunday’s much-needed win over Everton. Can the Eagles make it back-to-back victories at the weekend? The hosts head into this one as the favourites with the bookies.

After three straight defeats, the 3-1 success over the Toffees was just what the doctor ordered for the Palace faithful. Southampton, who lost at Arsenal last time out, have been in poor form of late. Since wins over Watford and Aston Villa, the Saints have lost three and drawn two of their following five games. Palace’s four league wins this term have been by more than one goal, and you can get the decent odds of 10/3 for the Londoners to win with a -1 goal handicap in midweek.

15th Dec 2021

19:45 - Barrow v Ipswich

Ipswich Town Win @ Evens

EFL League Two side Barrow welcome EFL League One outfit Ipswich Town to Holker Street in an FA Cup replay on Wednesday night. These two teams played out a goalless draw at Portman Road at the start of the month. The winners of this tie will travel to EFL Championship strugglers Barnsley in round three in early January.

Ipswich have struggled for wins in League One of late, though they did hold high flying Wigan Athletic to a draw at the DW Stadium last time out. Barrow frustrated the Tractor Boys at Portman Road, but Mark Cooper’s men have been in poor form in League Two lately, despite winning their last game. Ipswich’s qualities should get them over the line in Cumbria, and the away win is nicely priced at evens.

15th Dec 2021

20:00 - Arsenal v West Ham

Draw & Over 2.5 Goals @ 10/1

London sides Arsenal and West Ham United do battle in an intriguing Premier League affair at the Emirates Stadium this Wednesday. There is not a lot to split the Gunners and Hammers on paper, and West Ham are just two points and two places above Arsenal in the Premier League table. This promises to be a cracking London derby in midweek.

Arsenal have been sensational in front of their home fans this season. Since losing to Chelsea back in August, Mikel Arteta’s boys are unbeaten at the Emirates in nine games in all competitions, winning eight and drawing one. West Ham are enjoying another fine season under David Moyes, and United will fancy their chances in north London. However, we can see the pair playing out an entertaining draw. Check out the draw and over 2.5 goals at nice odds of 10/1.

16th Dec 2021

19:30 - Leicester v Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur to Win by One Goal @ 15/4

Please note that this match has been postponed.

Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur meet at the King Power Stadium in Premier League action on Thursday night. The Foxes picked up a stunning home win over Newcastle United last time out, and Rodgers and his team would love to follow that up with another three points at the King Power here. The home side are the slight favourites with the bookies, but there’s really not too much in it.

Tottenham are unbeaten in the league under Conte. After starting with a somewhat uninspiring 0-0 draw at Everton, the Italian has guided the Lilywhites to successive Premier League wins over Leeds United, Brentford and Norwich City. This one could go either way, but we fancy Spurs to edge it at the King Power. Check out the tempting odds of 15/4 for Conte’s boys to win by one goal.

16th Dec 2021

19:45 - Chelsea v Everton

Chelsea to Win -1 Goal @ 8/11

Chelsea and Everton do battle at Stamford Bridge on Thursday in a fixture in the Premier League that should see the title chasers take the points. After the disappointing West Ham United loss, the Blues got back on track with a dramatic victory over Leeds United last weekend. As for the Toffees, they were beaten at Crystal Palace in their last game. Chelsea are the clear favourites in this one, and we can’t see an upset on the cards.

Chelsea have had their issues at Stamford Bridge this season, with the win over Leeds being their first home league victory since October. Everton have lost four away matches on the spin, however, and have not won on the road since beating Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on 28th August. The London side will be searching for a comfortable win over struggling Everton on Thursday. Put some money on the hosts to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 8/11.

16th Dec 2021

20:00 - Liverpool v Newcastle

Liverpool HT/FT @ 1/2

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool welcome Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United to Anfield for a match in the Premier League this Thursday night. The Reds are on a stunning winning run right now and have won seven league and cup games in a row since losing to West Ham United in early November. The Merseysiders should pick up a routine home league victory in midweek.

Liverpool are in superb form, taking maximum points from their previous five Premier League games. Newcastle have picked up just one win all season, and Howe’s men crashed to a humbling 4-0 reverse at Leicester City last time out. In truth, this should be a stroll in the park for the in-form Reds. We like the look of the decent price of 1/2 for the hosts to be winning at half time and full time in this one.

17th Dec 2021

19:45 - Barnsley v West Brom

West Brom to Win -1 Goal @ 21/10

On Friday night in the EFL Championship, struggling Barnsley welcome promotion hopefuls West Bromwich Albion to Oakwell. The Tykes are in woeful form and are currently languishing down in 23rd position in the table at present. In contrast, West Brom are flying high in third spot, just five points away from leaders Fulham. Can the Baggies leave South Yorkshire with all three points? The bookies certainly think so.

Barnsley reached the play-offs last term, but the Tykes have had a miserable campaign so far. Last weekend’s 2-1 loss at Preston North End was Barnsley’s 13th league reverse of the season. West Brom are back on track after back-to-back wins over Coventry City and Reading. Valerien Ismael worked wonders at Oakwell last season, but we can see the Frenchman piling more misery on the Tykes this Friday and we’ll be backing the Baggies to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 21/10.

18th Dec 2021

12:30 - Manchester United v Brighton

Manchester United to Win to Nil @ 6/4

Please note that this match has been postponed.

The Premier League weekend gets underway when Manchester United host Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon. The Red Devils head into this home match unbeaten in their last six league and cup matches, while Brighton have not won a game in any competition since September. United are the clear favourites to get the three points from this one and we can’t find any reason to go against the bookies on this occasion.

Michael Carrick did a fine job during his short stint in charge at Man United, and Rangnick has taken up the mantle with two league wins out of two so far. Brighton made an excellent start to their season, winning six of their opening seven league and cup games, but the Seagulls are winless in 12 matches since. We fancy Man United to pick up a routine home victory here and we will be backing the hosts to win to nil for a third time under Rangnick at a price of 6/4.

18th Dec 2021

12:30 - Middlesbrough v Bournemouth

Draw & BTTS @ 7/2

Chris Wilder’s Middlesbrough and Scott Parker’s Bournemouth do battle at the Riverside Stadium in a huge game in the EFL Championship on Saturday lunchtime. Wilder has settled in nicely at Boro, guiding the club to two wins and a draw from their last three games. Parker’s Cherries sit second but have picked up just one win from their last seven Championship matches.

Middlesbrough’s improved form has lifted them into ninth spot, now just five points away from the play-offs at the halfway stage. Bournemouth made a stunning start under Parker, but one win from seven is a worry for the Dorset club. This will be a stern test for both sides, and we can see the pair cancelling each other out at the Riverside. The draw and both teams to score is priced at 7/2 which offers just enough value to tempt us in.

18th Dec 2021

12:30 - Cardiff v Derby

Draw & Under 2.5 Goals @ 3/1

Please note that this match has been postponed.

In South Wales on Saturday afternoon, Steve Morison’s Cardiff City welcome Wayne Rooney’s Derby County to the Cardiff City Stadium in the EFL Championship. The Rams remain rock bottom of the table after the points deductions, while the Bluebirds languish down in 20th place after a poor season so far. This is a massive game for both clubs in the context of the fight for survival.

Cardiff have certainly improved since Morison took over from Mick McCarthy, with the Welsh side winning three, losing three and drawing two of eight. However, they still have the worst home record in the division. Despite their problems off the field, Derby have been tough to beat this season, and we fancy the Rams to snatch a draw in the Welsh capital at the weekend. Check out the draw and under 2.5 goals at a decent price of 3/1.

18th Dec 2021

17:30 - Leeds v Arsenal

Arsenal Win @ Evens

On Saturday evening, Leeds United and Arsenal square off at Elland Road in Premier League action. After the midweek humiliation at Manchester City, Marcelo Bielsa will be looking for a reaction from his players. However, Mikel Arteta’s Gunners are full of confidence after breaking into the top four on Wednesday. Which way will this one go in West Yorkshire?

Leeds are currently languishing down in 16th position in the table after winning just three of their opening 17 games. United were hammered 7-0 at Man City in midweek, and they face Arsenal, Liverpool and a rejuvenated Aston Villa in their next three games. Arsenal have been in good form lately, but the Londoners have lost three away games on the spin. Still, we fancy the Gunners to get back to winning ways on the road on Saturday against a Leeds side who are playing with a real lack of invention and spirit at the moment. The away win is nicely priced at odds of evens and that looks good to us.

19th Dec 2021

14:00 - Wolves v Chelsea

Draw & BTTS @ 5/1

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea square off in Premier League action at Molineux on Sunday. The Blues dropped points against struggling Everton in midweek, while Wolves picked up a handy 1-0 win at Brighton and Hove Albion. Can the hosts upset the UEFA Champions League holders in this one?

Wolves have improved drastically since the early weeks of the season, but they had failed to win in four before the midweek trip to the Amex Stadium. Romain Saiss’ goal on the stroke of half time won the points for the West Midlands club. Chelsea were sloppy again on Thursday, drawing at home with Everton. The London side are the odds-on favourites, but we can see Wolves holding them to a draw at Molineux. There is good value in the draw and both teams to score at odds of 5/1.

19th Dec 2021

14:15 - Newcastle v Manchester City

Manchester City to Win -2 Goals @ 13/10

Premier League champions Manchester City make the trip to St James’ Park this Sunday to face Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United. Pep Guardiola’s Citizens are in scintillating form right now and have won seven Premier League games on the bounce. As for the Magpies, they have picked up just one victory all season. This should be a stroll in the park for the league leaders despite the best efforts of the home side.

Since suffering a shock 2-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace in October, Man City have bounced back with seven successive victories. Last time out, City thumped Leeds United 7-0 at the Etihad Stadium, with six different players getting on the scoresheet. This will be another arduous task for Howe’s struggling Newcastle, and we fancy Man City to win by a big margin at St James’. You can get odds of 13/10 for the visitors to win with a -2 goal handicap, which looks a good bet to us.

19th Dec 2021

16:30 - Tottenham v Liverpool

Liverpool to Win by One Goal @ 13/5

Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are set to go head-to-head at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. Spurs are unbeaten in the league since Conte arrived in north London, while the Reds have won eight league and cup games in a row. Who will come out on top in this tasty clash in the capital?

Tottenham have won their last three home matches, seeing off Leeds United, Brentford and Norwich City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. So far, Conte has taken 10 points from a possible 12. Liverpool have been on fire since losing to West Ham United in early November, winning eight matches in a row. The Reds should edge this one, and there is excellent value in the odds of 13/5 for the away team to win by one goal.

20th Dec 2021

19:45 - Fulham v Sheffield United

Fulham HT/FT @ 7/4

On Monday night in the EFL Championship, Fulham and Sheffield United are set to go head-to-head at Craven Cottage. Marco Silva has made an excellent impact in west London since taking over in the summer, but the leaders could certainly do with a win after four successive draws. As for the Blades, they have won three on the bounce and are going great guns at present.

Fulham may have drawn four in a row, but the Whites are on an incredible 11-game unbeaten run in the Championship. Sheffield United have picked up of late, seeing off Reading, Bristol City and Cardiff City in their last three. However, this will be a tough test against the league leaders. We are backing Fulham to secure their first win in five on Monday – the home win at half time and full time at odds of 7/4 looks to be the standout bet for us.

21st Dec 2021

19:45 - Arsenal v Sunderland

Arsenal to Win -1 Goal @ 8/15

Barring any late postponements, Premier League Arsenal entertain EFL League One outfit Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium in a Carabao Cup quarter-final on Tuesday night. The Gunners are sitting pretty in the top four of the Premier League after a solid run of results of late, but can Mikel Arteta’s side book their place in the last four of EFL Cup? They are of course big favourites and Arteta will be keen to keep their momentum going.

The Black Cats are enjoying a fine season in League One, as Lee Johnson’s boys are in third spot after 21 games played. Sunderland have seen off EFL Championship sides Blackpool and Queens Park Rangers in the cup, but Tuesday’s tie against Premier League Arsenal will be a tough test. Arsenal, who won 4-1 at Leeds United last time out, are in fine form at present, and we fancy the hosts to prevail by a margin on Tuesday, even with the inevitable squad rotation. Put some money on Arsenal to win -1 at nice odds of 8/15.

22nd Dec 2021

19:45 - Brentford v Chelsea

Chelsea to Win to Nil @ 7/4

Fingers crossed no late postponements hit west London rivals Brentford and Chelsea, who are scheduled to lock horns in a quarter-final of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday. This tie may be taking place at the Brentford Community Stadium, but the away team are the clear favourites to get the win and progress through to the last four. However, can the Bees cause an upset on home soil against their more illustrious opponents?

Brentford have had a tough time of late, but they did manage to win their last Premier League match and all in all must be more than satisfied with the start they have made in the top flight. In the cup, the Bees have seen off Forest Green Rovers, Oldham Athletic and Stoke City. Chelsea are in average form themselves though and dropped more points in the league last time out, but we can see Thomas Tuchel’s troops getting back to winning ways here. The Blues won 1-0 at Brentford in the Premier League back in October, and you can get 7/4 for Chelsea to win to nil again.

22nd Dec 2021

19:45 - Liverpool v Leicester

Liverpool Win & BTTS @ 2/1

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City go head-to-head in Carabao Cup action at Anfield on Wednesday night in what is the tie of the round. The Reds have suffered just one defeat in all competitions this season, while the Foxes thumped Newcastle United 4-0 in their last Premier League fixture. Who will book their spot in the semi-finals of the 2021-22 EFL Cup as former Reds boss Rodgers returns to his former club?

Liverpool have had a dominant season up until now, winning 20 of their 26 league and cup matches. However, after dropping two Premier League points at Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend, the Merseysiders will be hoping to get back to winning ways in the cup on Wednesday. Leicester will be no pushovers, but Liverpool should get the job done on home soil. Take a punt on the home side to win and both teams to score at 2/1, good value given the changes Liverpool will probably make.

22nd Dec 2021

19:45 - Tottenham v West Ham

West Ham United Win & Over 2.5 Goals @ 4/1

Rivals Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United meet in a tasty Carabao Cup quarter-final at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday night which rivals the game above in the tie of the round stakes. Antonio Conte’s Spurs returned to action with a solid 2-2 Premier League draw with Liverpool last weekend and probably deserved the win, even if they got the benefit of some strange decisions from the referee. Can they build on that and claim a win in the cup in midweek? The home side are the favourites.

When these two teams clashed in the Premier League at the London Stadium two months back, West Ham nicked a 1-0 win thanks to a Michail Antonio goal. A lot has changed since then, but the Hammers have remained strong. Spurs are the favourites on their own patch, but we are backing David Moyes’ West Ham to edge an entertaining cup tie. Put some money on the away win and over 2.5 goals at the really big price of 4/1.

26th Dec 2021

12:30 - Liverpool v Leeds

Liverpool to Win -2 Goals @ 20/21

Please note that this match has been postponed.

Liverpool and Leeds United square off at Anfield on Boxing Day in the Premier League. The Reds will be hoping to bounce back after dropping two points at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last time out in a game they could have lost, not helped by some dubious decisions from the referee. As for Leeds, they have now lost three in a row, conceding 14 goals in the process as their small squad has struggled badly with injuries. Despite absences of their own, Jurgen Klopp’s men will fancy their chances in this one against a side sure to give them plenty of space to attack.

Liverpool are unbeaten in all competitions since suffering a 3-2 loss at West Ham United back in early November. They have won four league matches on the bounce at Anfield and with the home fans sure to be in full voice they should make that five here. Leeds are enduring a really tough time in the Premier League right now, and we can see Marcelo Bielsa’s boys crashing to another heavy defeat on Sunday. Take a punt on the home team to win -2 at the decent price of 20/21.

26th Dec 2021

15:00 - Manchester City v Leicester

Manchester City to Win to Nil @ 20/21

Premier League leaders Manchester City welcome Leicester City to the Etihad Stadium on Boxing Day. Man City are in rampant form, winning eight Premier League matches in a row to take a clear lead at the top of the table. The Foxes thumped Newcastle United 4-0 in their last league outing, but this will be a stern test for the Midlands outfit. Man City are the clear favourites with the bookies and we expect them to justify that position.

Pep Guardiola’s boys head into this one in stunning form, picking up 10 wins from their last 11 league and cup games. In the last two, Man City hammered Leeds United 7-0 before cruising to a 4-0 victory at Newcastle United. The lack of a striker is proving no impediment to them banging in the goals, whilst at the back they look tighter than ever. The Premier League leaders should be too strong for the Foxes on Sunday. We are backing Man City to win to nil again, which is available at the very solid odds of 20/21.

26th Dec 2021

15:00 - Tottenham v Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur HT/FT @ 7/4

London sides Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace are set to do battle at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Premier League action on Boxing Day. Spurs returned to action last weekend with an excellent draw with in-form Liverpool, a result they fully deserved. Antonio Conte is still unbeaten in the league, and Tottenham will be gunning for all three points from this one.

Since taking over in north London, Conte has guided Tottenham to three wins and two draws from five Premier League matches. When these two teams clashed at Selhurst Park earlier in the season, Patrick Vieira’s Eagles stunned Spurs with a deserved 3-0 home win. However, Tottenham should get revenge at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Boxing Day. Check out the solid odds of 7/4 for the home side to be winning at half time and full time.

26th Dec 2021

15:00 - Norwich v Arsenal

Arsenal to Win to Nil @ 7/5

Mikel Arteta takes his Arsenal side to Carrow Road this Sunday to face Dean Smith’s struggling Norwich City in the Premier League. The Canaries prop up the Premier League table after claiming just two wins thus far. They occupy the dreaded bottom-at-Christmas position and a miracle comeback in 2022 seems totally beyond their capabilities. In contrast, recent results have lifted the Gunners into the UEFA Champions League places and they are starting to look like a side making real progress.

Smith made a decent enough start at Norwich, but City head into this one having lost consecutive games to Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Aston Villa. Since losing to Everton at the beginning of the month, Arteta’s men have bounced back with league wins over Southampton, West Ham United and Leeds United. They kept clean sheets against the Saints and Hammers, only conceding via a penalty against Leeds, and the Londoners should keep the Canaries at bay on Sunday. Arsenal are available at 7/5 to win to nil.

26th Dec 2021

17:30 - Aston Villa v Chelsea

Draw & BTTS @ 9/2

Aston Villa entertain Chelsea at Villa Park this Boxing Day in the Premier League. Thomas Tuchel’s troops will be desperate to get back to winning ways after drawing with Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers in their last two and only squeaking past Leeds prior to that. It will be far from easy here though and the Villans have looked strong under Steven Gerrard so far and will be no pushovers at Villa Park.

Since leaving Rangers for the West Midlands, Gerrard has guided Villa to four wins from six Premier League games. Chelsea have had a little slump in form of late, collecting just five points from the last 12 on offer. As a result, the Blues have slipped six points behind leaders Manchester City. This will no doubt be another tough one for Chelsea, and our money is going on the draw and both teams to score at the chunky odds of 9/2.

26th Dec 2021

20:00 - Brighton v Brentford

Draw @ 5/2

The final Premier League fixture on Boxing Day will see Graham Potter’s Brighton & Hove Albion and Thomas Frank’s Brentford do battle at the Amex Stadium in the evening. The Seagulls’ stunning start seems like a distant memory, as Brighton have not won a game in any competition since beating Swansea City in the Carabao Cup on 22nd September. Can they get back to winning ways on Sunday?

To their credit, the Seagulls have been tough to beat this term, losing only four of their opening 16 in the league. The Bees picked up a massive three points in their last Premier League fixture, coming from behind with two late goals to beat Watford 2-1 at home. No team in England’s top tier have drawn more games than Brighton this season, and the stalemate on Sunday is priced at 5/2.

27th Dec 2021

15:00 - Derby v West Brom

Draw & BTTS @ 4/1

Derby County and West Bromwich Albion square off at Pride Park in EFL Championship action on Monday afternoon. The Rams have had a miserable time off the pitch this season, suffering multiple points deductions which have left them at the foot of the table. However, they have lost only seven of their 22 league matches and without those punishments would be comfortably in midtable. Can they keep promotion-chasing West Brom at bay on Monday to keep alive their dreams of a miracle survival?

With Fulham and Bournemouth dropping points at the top, the Baggies have closed the gap to the leaders to just four points. However, Albion have drawn four of their last seven and can’t quite get going this term. The Rams are the draw specialists in the Championship, with 10 of their 22 league fixtures this term ending level. With that in mind, check out the draw and both teams to score here at the really nice price of 4/1.

27th Dec 2021

17:30 - QPR v Bournemouth

Queens Park Rangers Win @ 9/5

Mark Warburton’s Queens Park Rangers and Scott Parker’s Bournemouth meet in a tasty EFL Championship fixture at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Monday evening. At the time of writing, QPR are in fifth place, while the Cherries sit second, so the result here could prove crucial in the promotion battle come the end of the season. After suffering defeats last time out, both sides could do with the points on Monday.

QPR have been one of the surprise packages in the Championship this season, but their six-game unbeaten run came to an end when they lost 2-0 at home to Stoke City in their last one. Bournemouth started the season like a house on fire, winning 11 and drawing four of their opening 15. However, just one win has followed for the Cherries. We are backing QPR to nick a narrow victory on home turf and the hosts are nicely priced at 9/5.

27th Dec 2021

20:00 - Newcastle v Manchester United

Manchester United to Win -1 Goal @ 6/5

All being well and barring any late postponement, Ralf Rangnick is set to take his Manchester United troops to St James’ Park this Monday night to face Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United in the Premier League. The Red Devils will be hoping to continue their good form under their new boss. The Magpies, who are joint bottom, could do with a positive result having picked up just one win all season.

Performances have been improving and they have not been helped by some poor decisions from the officials but the fact remains that since beating Burnley earlier in the month, Newcastle have lost three in a row and shipped 11 goals. In contrast, Man United have been tough to beat since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer left the club, winning four and drawing two of their last six in all competitions. The Red Devils should return to action with a routine away win on Monday. Put some money on the visitors to win -1 at very nice odds of 6/5 against a side that remains poor at the back and not much better going forward.

28th Dec 2021

15:00 - Crystal Palace v Norwich

Crystal Palace to Win to Nil @ 6/4

Crystal Palace and Norwich City go head-to-head at Selhurst Park in Premier League action on Tuesday afternoon. The pair suffered heavy defeats on Boxing Day, so both teams will be looking to hit back in this one. Patrick Vieira’s men are the strong favourites to get the win against the league’s bottom side.

Palace have had a slump in form in recent weeks, losing four of their last six matches. Last time out, the Eagles were beaten 3-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Norwich have lost four in a row and have failed to win in six. On Boxing Day, Dean Smith’s men were hammered 5-0 at home by Arsenal. Crystal Palace have kept clean sheets in three of their four league wins this term and have often looked solid at the back. As such we’ll be putting some money on the hosts to win to nil here at odds of 6/4.

28th Dec 2021

15:00 - Southampton v Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur Win @ 11/10

Antonio Conte takes his in-form Tottenham Hotspur troops to St Mary’s this Tuesday to face Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton in the Premier League. The Saints picked up an excellent win at West Ham United on Boxing Day, while Spurs made light work of Crystal Palace. Who will come out on top at St Mary’s on Tuesday?

Southampton needed those points at the London Stadium having not picked up a win since beating Aston Villa at home on 5th November. Tottenham kept up their unbeaten start in the league under Conte by easing past Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. Spurs have won four and drawn two of the six Premier League fixtures they’ve played since their new manager arrived. Having a punt on Tottenham to prevail at St Mary’s on Tuesday could prove profitable, an option that is generously priced at odds of 11/10.

15:00 - Watford v West Ham

West Ham United to Win -1 Goal @ 11/4

Watford and West Ham United lock horns at Vicarage Road this Tuesday afternoon in Premier League action. The Hornets head into this one having lost four on the spin, while the Hammers have lost four of their previous five in all competitions. West Ham are the favourites, but can Watford cause an upset on home soil?

Since thumping Manchester United 4-1 at Vicarage Road in November, Claudio Ranieri’s men have suffered four straight defeats in the Premier League, shipping 11 goals in the process. West Ham, who were beaten 3-2 at home by Southampton on Boxing Day, have gone off the boil in recent weeks. However, we fancy the Irons to hit back with a vital away victory at Vicarage Road. Consider putting some money on West Ham to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 11/4.

28th Dec 2021

20:00 - Leicester v Liverpool

Liverpool to Win by One Goal @ 11/4

Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool do battle at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night in a tasty-looking Premier League fixture. The Reds had Boxing Day off, while the Foxes were involved in a nine-goal thriller with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. These two teams put on a show in the EFL Cup last week, and we are hoping for more of the same on Tuesday.

Leicester were beaten 6-3 at Man City on Boxing Day in a crazy game that was brilliant for the neutrals and indeed City fans. Last Wednesday, Liverpool and Leicester drew 3-3 in the EFL Cup, with the Reds going on to win on penalties at Anfield to book their spot in the last four. We fancy Klopp’s boys to edge past the Foxes again. You can get odds of 11/4 for Liverpool to win by one goal in this one, which looks worth a punt.

29th Dec 2021

19:30 - Chelsea v Brighton

Chelsea to Win -2 Goals @ 3/1

Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion square off at Stamford Bridge this Wednesday in Premier League action. Both teams picked up much-needed wins on Boxing Day and will hope they can maintain momentum with a good result here. Thomas Tuchel’s Blues are the clear favourites to get the win on their own patch, but can Graham Potter’s Seagulls cause an upset in the capital?

After back-to-back league draws with Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers, Chelsea bounced back with a vital 3-1 victory at Aston Villa on Boxing Day, with Jorginho bagging a brace, both from the spot. Brighton’s long wait for a win came to an end as goals from Leandro Trossard and Neal Maupay gave them a 2-0 home win over Brentford. Unlike them, they actually had a little luck in that one and didn’t really deserve the points on the balance of play and a similar performance will see them struggle. Unfortunately for Albion, we can only see one winner in this one. Check out the solid odds of 3/1 for Chelsea to win -2.

29th Dec 2021

20:15 - Brentford v Manchester City

Manchester City HT/FT @ 8/13

In-form Manchester City travel to the Brentford Community Stadium on Wednesday to play Thomas Frank’s Brentford in the Premier League. The champions and current league leaders are in devastating form right now, dropping zero points since crashing to a shock home defeat to Crystal Palace in October. They have been banging in the goals for fun of late and they should rack up another win in midweek.

Man City have won nine Premier League games in a row. The Citizens were involved in a nine-goal thriller with Leicester City on Boxing Day, running out 6-3 winners on their own patch. Pep Guardiola’s men have netted a staggering 17 goals in their last three league matches, and they should get their 10th successive league victory in style on Wednesday. Have a punt on Man City to be winning at half time and full time at 8/13, decent odds for what looks a banker on current form.

30th Dec 2021

19:30 - Everton v Newcastle

Everton to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

Please note that this match has been postponed.

Barring disruption from you know what, Rafa Benitez’s Everton take on Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United at Goodison Park in the Premier League this Thursday night. The Toffees have had a tough time of late, but they have taken four points from games against Arsenal and Chelsea recently and have done well despite their depleted squad. They may welcome back key striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin here too and that would be a massive boost. As for the Magpies, they have yet to win away from home in any competition this season and despite their new-found wealth appear to be heading to the second tier. Who will prevail in Merseyside?

Everton started their campaign in fine fettle under new boss, formerly in charge at Newcastle (and of course Liverpool!) Benitez, but the Toffees have secured just one league victory since September. Newcastle’s first win of their miserable campaign came against Burnley at the start of the month. Both sides are struggling at present, but Everton should have the edge on home turf in front of a full and excitable Goodison crowd. Check out the decent price of 3/1 for the home side to win by one goal on Thursday.

30th Dec 2021

19:45 - Nottingham Forest v Huddersfield

Huddersfield Town Win & BTTS @ 13/2

This Thursday evening in the EFL Championship, Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest and Carlos Corberan’s Huddersfield Town go head-to-head at the City Ground. The Reds fell to a rare defeat on Boxing Day, while the Terriers edged a thriller against Blackpool. Both teams will be desperate for maximum points from this one.

Forest lost for only the second time under Cooper when they were beaten at Middlesbrough last time out. As for Huddersfield, they squeezed past Blackpool in a five-goal thriller at the John Smith’s Stadium. Town’s win lifted them into the play-off spots, and we can see the Terriers picking up another massive three points here. This promises to be an entertaining encounter at the City Ground, so take a punt on the Huddersfield win and both teams to score at very big odds of 13/2.

30th Dec 2021

20:15 - Manchester United v Burnley

Manchester United to Win Both Halves @ 2/1

Ralf Rangnick’s Manchester United entertain Sean Dyche’s Burnley at Old Trafford on Thursday in Premier League action. The Red Devils have struggled at home this season but are unbeaten in three league and cup games at the Theatre of Dreams as their new boss shows some signs of settling in. United head into this home league fixture as the big favourites with the bookies and we fully expect them to get the job done.

In their last two home league matches, Man United have edged past Arsenal and Crystal Palace. Burnley have not been an easy nut to crack lately, losing just two of their previous 10 Premier League fixtures. However, seven of those have ended in draws. The Clarets would take a draw now, but United should secure a comfortable home victory. We like the look of 2/1 for the Red Devils to win both halves of this one.

1st Jan 2022

12:30 - Arsenal v Manchester City

Manchester City HT/FT @ 5/4

Two of the form sides in the Premier League square off at the Emirates Stadium on New Year’s Day, as Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal welcome Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to London. The Gunners will be without their ill boss but will hope that their squad have managed to stay healthy as they will need all of their best players to contend with City. After the recent results, the Citizens have opened up an eight-point gap at the top of the Premier League table and are now red-hot favourites to retain their crown. Can the champions chalk up yet another win to pile even more pressure on Liverpool and the rest of the chasing pack?

It might not be straightforward for Pep and co because Arsenal head into this New Year’s Day clash having won five league and cup games on the spin. Last time out, they thumped Norwich City 5-0 away from home. Man City are in devastating form right now though, winning 10 straight Premier League matches to take control of top spot. Arsenal may be flying, but we fancy City to secure an easy win in north London. Take a punt on the leaders to be winning at half time and full time at the solid price of 5/4.

1st Jan 2022

12:30 - Sheffield United v Middlesbrough

Draw & BTTS @ 15/4

It isn’t all about the top flight of course and also on New Year’s Day, Sheffield United and Middlesbrough go head-to-head at Bramall Lane in EFL Championship action. Boro have shot up the table since former Blades boss Chris Wilder took over at the Riverside Stadium, with Middlesbrough now in fifth spot on 39 points and really pushing to get in the race for automatic promotion. Can they extend their unbeaten run and leave Sheffield with a positive result on Saturday?

Sheffield United are also in excellent form, winning four in a row since drawing at home with Coventry City in November. Paul Heckingbottom, who was in charge of the Blades in the Premier League last term, has done a superb job since returning to Bramall Lane. This exciting Championship fixture could go either way, but our money is going on the draw. The draw and both teams to score is available at 15/4.

1st Jan 2022

15:00 - Watford v Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur to Win -1 Goal @ 8/5

Claudio Ranieri’s Watford entertain Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur at Vicarage Road in the Premier League on New Year’s Day. The Hornets have had a tough time of late, losing eight of 10 matches under new boss Ranieri who, given Watford’s record when it comes to managers, must surely be fearing for his job already. In contrast, Spurs are undefeated in league action since Conte arrived in the capital. Tottenham will be hoping to kick off 2022 with an away win.

Watford are languishing at the wrong end of the table after suffering 12 defeats from 17 games. In contrast, Spurs’ improved form has lifted them into European contention. The Lilywhites have yet to win away from home under Conte, but that could change at Vicarage Road on Saturday. A rejuvenated Tottenham team should be too strong for struggling Watford, and we like the look of the visitors to win -1 at 8/5.

1st Jan 2022

17:30 - Crystal Palace v West Ham

West Ham United Win @ 6/5

In the evening on New Year’s Day, London duo Crystal Palace and West Ham United do battle at Selhurst Park in the Premier League. The pair picked up much-needed wins last time out, and this promises to be an entertaining derby in the capital. The Eagles may be the home team, but the Hammers head to south London as the slight favourites with the bookies.

Palace have been extremely hard to beat on their own patch this season, with just Aston Villa leaving Selhurst with all three points. Before their game at Watford last Tuesday, West Ham had picked up just one league victory in seven. However, they were superb at Vicarage Road, leaving with a deserved 4-1 win. We are backing the Irons to follow that up with another three points here (6/5).

2nd Jan 2022

13:00 - Bristol City v Millwall

Draw & BTTS @ 15/4

Nigel Pearson’s Bristol City and Gary Rowett’s Millwall meet at Ashton Gate in the EFL Championship on Sunday. The Robins have been in patchy form, while the Lions head to Bristol having won two of their last three. As Millwall hunt down a potential play-off spot, can Rowett’s boys return to the capital with a big three points in the bag?

Millwall got back to action on Wednesday evening with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Coventry City at the Coventry Building Society Arena – Tom Bradshaw’s goal 11 minutes from time did the business. The Lions had gone four away matches without a win prior to that, drawing one and losing three. Bristol City have also been inconsistent of late, so this is tough to call but we fancy it to end in a stalemate at Aston Gate. Take a punt on the draw and both teams to score (15/4).

2nd Jan 2022

14:00 - Brentford v Aston Villa

Aston Villa to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

With the usual recent provisos and barring any late withdrawals, Brentford and Aston Villa will square off in the Premier League at the Brentford Community Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Thomas Frank’s troops will be hoping to get back to winning ways after three straight league and cup defeats that have left them thinking more about a relegation battle than anything loftier. However, the Villans have been a tough nut to crack since Steven Gerrard took over, and the visitors are the favourites in the capital.

Despite their wobbly form over the past couple of months or so, Brentford are still well clear of the drop zone … for now. They need to arrest their current form though or they could very easily find themselves in danger. Aston Villa have shown a big improvement under Gerrard, sealing wins over Brighton & Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Norwich City. This could be tight on the scoreline, so check out the solid price of 3/1 for Villa to win by exactly one goal at the Brentford Community Stadium.

2nd Jan 2022

16:30 - Chelsea v Liverpool

Draw & Over 2.5 Goals @ 10/1

Perhaps the biggest game of the entire festive period is up next as we have a mouth-watering Premier League fixture to kick off the New Year, with Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool locking horns at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon. Both teams have slipped away from leaders Manchester City after recent results, so this is a vital fixture for the pair. Who will come out on top in the capital and can either ultimately mount a serious challenge to City?

Chelsea dropped points at home yet again last time out, this time conceding late to draw 1-1 with Brighton & Hove Albion. As for Liverpool, they fell to a rare defeat, losing 1-0 to a depleted Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. Both sides will be gunning for all three points, but we can see the heavyweights playing out an entertaining draw at the Bridge. Put some money on the draw and over 2.5 goals at the massive price of 10/1, with 2-2 our correct score prediction.

3rd Jan 2022

15:00 - Swansea City v Fulham

Fulham Win @ 3/4

We have a big game to enjoy in the second tier too as Swansea City and Fulham go head-to-head in EFL Championship action at the Swansea.com Stadium in South Wales on Monday afternoon. The Swans will be hoping for a positive result after losing three in a row, while the Cottagers will be desperate to stop a run of five without a win and make sure they are still pushing hard for automatic promotion this term. Fulham head to Wales as the favourites with the bookies and they should have enough to stop the rot here.

Swansea have struggled in recent matches, picking up just one win from their last six in the Championship. After seven successive victories, Fulham have drawn four and lost one. The reverse to Sheffield United in their last outing was their first defeat since 2nd October and they should get back to winning ways against a poor Swansea. With Bournemouth taking over at the top and in-form Blackburn Rovers now hot on their heels, this really is a must-win game for the Cottagers. Back the away side to prevail at 3/4.

3rd Jan 2022

17:30 - Manchester United v Wolves

Manchester United Win & BTTS @ 13/5

Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers meet at Old Trafford on Monday evening. The Red Devils have shown an improvement since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was relieved of his duties in November, though their new boss has said that virus-based disruption has hampered their progress. This will certainly be a stern test against Bruno Lage’s well-drilled Wolves, but Ralf Rangnick’s United will be looking for all three points on home soil as they seek to push their way into the battle for the Champions League places.

After an upswing in results, Man United are once again knocking on the door of the European places in the Premier League. Wolves are not too far behind, as they have improved game by game under the diligent Lage. Wanderers, who held Chelsea to a draw in their last outing, will be formidable opponents on Monday, but Man United should edge it at Old Trafford. The hosts to win and both teams to score is nicely priced at odds of 13/5 and is the value pick in this one.

3rd Jan 2022

19:45 - Bournemouth v Peterborough

Bournemouth to Win Both Halves @ 5/2

Current EFL Championship leaders Bournemouth are back in action on Monday night when lowly Peterborough United visit the Vitality Stadium. The Cherries moved back to the Championship’s summit when they beat Queens Park Rangers last Monday. Posh are fighting for their lives at the other end of the league table and this is not the ideal fixture for them given their woeful form and morale.

After no wins in six, Scott Parker and his Bournemouth boys desperately needed those points at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. This will be Peterborough’s first game since losing 3-1 at Blackpool on 18th December. United have a dreadful away record this season, losing 11 of their 12 Championship fixtures on the road. Unfortunately for Darren Ferguson’s men, our money is going on an easy Bournemouth victory here. You can get 5/2 for the hosts to win both halves of this one.
