Football Tips – December 2020

2nd Dec 2020

19:00 - Middlesbrough v Swansea

Draw @ 21/10

Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough take on Steve Cooper’s Swansea City at the Riverside Stadium on Wednesday night in an intriguing EFL Championship matchup. Boro have started well, but Warnock’s boys have lost two of their last three to drop down to 10th, albeit just three points outside the play-off places. The Swans are flying high under Cooper, sitting just two points off top spot at present. Will we see a winner at the Riverside?

After losing at Watford on the opening weekend, Middlesbrough went on a superb 10-game unbeaten run. However, they have lost to Norwich City and Huddersfield Town in two of their last three. Swansea, who won 1-0 at Nottingham Forest on Sunday, have lost only one of their last nine. Warnock’s side are very hard to beat though and Boro have picked up six Championship draws so far, while the Swans have drawn five times. The draw in this one is available at the tempting price of 21/10.

2nd Dec 2020

19:45 - Sheffield Wednesday v Reading

1-1 Draw @ 5/1

Tony Pulis’ Sheffield Wednesday entertain Veljko Paunovic’s Reading at Hillsborough on Wednesday in an EFL Championship fixture. Pulis is still searching for his first win as Owls boss having recently taken over from Garry Monk. As for the Royals, they secured their first victory in six last time out. This Championship encounter could go either way at Hillsborough and we expect a tight game.

Pulis has started life at Sheffield Wednesday with a loss and two draws. After losing to Preston North End at Deepdale, the Owls have drawn with Swansea City and Stoke City in their last two. Reading won seven and drew one of their opening eight league matches. However, before beating Bristol City last weekend, the Berkshire club had lost four and drawn one of five. We can see Wednesday battling to a third consecutive draw in midweek as Pulis goes about making them very hard to beat. The 1-1 stalemate at the nice price of 5/1 is standing out.

2nd Dec 2020

19:45 - Nottingham Forest v Watford

Watford to Win -1 Goal @ 4/1

Chris Hughton’s Nottingham Forest entertain Vladimir Ivic’s Watford at the City Ground on Wednesday night in the EFL Championship. These teams are at opposite ends of the table, with the hosts down in 21st and Watford third. Forest could do with a positive result having lost three matches in a row. In contrast, the Hornets will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run to six. Who will prevail in the East Midlands in midweek?

Hughton made a solid start to life at the City Ground, but Nottingham Forest have lost three on the spin since back-to-back home wins over Coventry City and Wycombe Wanderers. Watford have been hard to beat lately, losing just one of their previous 10 in the Championship. After a thumping 4-1 victory over Preston North End last time out, we fancy Watford to claim another easy win on Wednesday. Put some money on the visitors to win -1 at 4/1.

2nd Dec 2020

19:45 - Luton v Norwich

Norwich City HT/FT @ 5/2

EFL Championship leaders Norwich City are back in action on Wednesday night, as Daniel Farke’s Canaries make the trip to Kenilworth Road to take on Nathan Jones’ Luton Town. The Hatters will be hoping to bounce back from last weekend’s heavy defeat at Cardiff City, while Norwich will stretch their undefeated run to 11 with a positive result in Bedfordshire. Farke has done a great job and they seem to have every chance of making an instant return to the top flight.

That said, Luton have made a solid enough start this term, but they have failed to win any of their past four in the Championship, drawing three and losing one. In contrast, Norwich have been in sensational form of late, picking up seven victories and drawing three of their last 10. The Championship leaders should ease past Luton on Wednesday. Take a punt on the away team to be winning at half time and full time at 5/2.

2nd Dec 2020

20:00 - Manchester United v PSG

Draw & BTTS @ 10/3

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United and Thomas Tuchel’s Paris Saint-Germain go head-to-head in a mouth-watering UEFA Champions League fixture at Old Trafford on Wednesday night. United lead the way in Group H on nine points, three ahead of both PSG and RB Leipzig. Victory for the Red Devils in midweek will take them through to the knockout stages and given this was a tough group on paper that will be a fine achievement with a game to spare.

Man Utd have been very solid in the Champions League so far this season, starting with wins over Paris (2-1) and Leipzig (5-0). After a highly surprising 2-1 away loss to Istanbul Basaksehir, United responded by thumping the Turkish side 4-1 at Old Trafford in game four. A win for Ole’s boys will be fantastic, but a draw would also be an excellent result and leave them in a very strong position. Given the firepower of both sides and United’s 3-2 win last time out we are backing the draw and both teams to score in this one at big odds of 10/3.

2nd Dec 2020

20:00 - Sevilla v Chelsea

Chelsea to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

Frank Lampard takes his Chelsea troops to Spain in midweek to play Julen Lopetegui’s Sevilla in UEFA Champions League action. These two teams are already safely through to the knockout stages of this season’s competition, though top spot in Group E is still up for grabs. Can the Premier League giants leave the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Wednesday with all three points?

Since drawing with Sevilla at Stamford Bridge in their Champions League opener, Chelsea have beaten Krasnodar and Rennes (twice) to book their spot in the last 16. Lampard’s side will want to complete the job and make sure of top spot in the group and potentially avoid one of the giants in the next round. This could be another tight fixture between the pair, but we fancy the London side to nick the points. Lampard is starting to get the best out of his players so back Chelsea to win by one goal at 3/1.

3rd Dec 2020

17:55 - LASK v Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur to Win to Nil @ 9/4

Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur travel to the Linzer Stadion in Austria this Thursday to play LASK in a UEFA Europa League game. Group J is wide open, as Antwerp and Spurs have nine points each, while LASK are three points adrift in third. Still, a win for Tottenham on Thursday will see them safely through to the knockout rounds and they will expect to get the job done.

Since a disappointing defeat in Antwerp in October, Spurs have hit back with two vital Europa League victories. The Lilywhites won 3-1 away at Ludogorets Razgrad before thumping the Bulgarian side 4-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in game four. Tottenham eased to a 3-0 home win over the Austrians in the reverse fixture, and we fancy the Londoners to get the points and keep a clean sheet in this one. The away team have a superb defence and are priced at 9/4 to win to nil.

3rd Dec 2020

17:55 - Zorya Luhansk v Leicester

Leicester City Win @ 7/10

Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City will be searching for their first win in four league and cup games when they travel to Zorya Luhansk for a UEFA Europa League fixture this Thursday. The Foxes are through to the last 32 having won three and drawn one of their opening four Group G games but they will want to get back to winning ways here. Three points in the Ukraine on Thursday night will see Leicester win the group.

When these two teams squared off at the King Power Stadium a couple of months back, Leicester eased to a 3-0 win thanks to goals from James Maddison, Harvey Barnes and Kelechi Iheanacho. The Premier League outfit have been superb in the Europa League so far this term, and Rodgers’ troops should see off Zorya at the Slavutych-Arena on Thursday. The Leicester win is available at 7/10 and that is a very nice option for your accas.

3rd Dec 2020

17:55 - AC Milan v Celtic

AC Milan to Win Both Halves @ 2/1

Celtic are already eliminated from this season’s UEFA Europa League after taking just one point from a possible 12. To make matters worse for the Scottish Premiership champions, the Bhoys head to the San Siro on Thursday to take on Italian giants AC Milan. After back-to-back 4-1 defeats to Sparta Prague, can Celtic restore some pride in Group H? They are in dire straits right now, with plenty of unrest among the fans and they could be in for a long night here.

Milan are still well and truly in the mix to finish in the top two, with the Serie A side sitting just a point behind leaders Lille with two games to go. Celtic have had a dreadful campaign, losing three times and conceding a staggering 13 goals in four games. This should be a walk in the park for Stefano Pioli’s men. Back Milan to win both halves of this one at 2/1, a price we feel offers real value given how poor the Bhoys have been of late.

3rd Dec 2020

20:00 - Arsenal v Rapid Vienna

Arsenal Win & BTTS @ 8/5

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have been poor in the Premier League this season, but the Gunners are already through to the Round of 32 of the UEFA Europa League. The London side will be hoping to make it 15 points from a possible 15 with victory over Dietmar Kuhbauer’s Rapid Vienna at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.

Arteta has praised the freedom his side have played with in this competition. Arsenal have been sensational in Europa League Group B so far, winning four out four, scoring 12 and shipping two. A 3-0 victory in Molde last week made sure of qualification to the knockouts. Arteta’s men edged the game in Vienna back in October, and we fancy Arsenal to keep up their 100% winning record with victory in midweek. Take a punt on the home win and both teams to score, which is priced at 8/5.

3rd Dec 2020

20:00 - Rangers v Standard Liege

Rangers to Win -1 Goal @ 11/10

Steven Gerrard’s in-form Rangers welcome Philippe Montanier’s Standard Liege to Ibrox this Thursday night for a huge UEFA Europa League fixture. The Scottish Premiership leaders are currently top of Group D with eight points to their name, level with Benfica and five points ahead of Lech Poznan and Liege. Avoid defeat in this one and the Gers will be in the Round of 32.

Rangers have made an incredible start to their 2020-21 season on all fronts. They are miles clear at the top of the Premiership table, and they have won 19 and drawn four of their 23 league and cup matches so far. Gerrard’s men beat Liege 2-0 in Belgium in October, and the Scottish giants should ease past the Reds in Glasgow. They are full of confidence right now so put some money on Rangers to win -1 at solid looking odds of 11/10.

4th Dec 2020

19:45 - Barnsley v Bournemouth

Barnsley to Win by One Goal @ 4/1

Barnsley and Bournemouth get the football weekend started as they do battle at Oakwell in EFL Championship action on Friday night. After suffering a rare defeat last time out, the Cherries will be hoping hit back with three points at the first time of asking. However, the Tykes have won five of eight Championship games under new boss Valerien Ismael. Who will come out on top in South Yorkshire on Friday?

Since Ismael arrived just over a month ago, Barnsley have beaten Queens Park Rangers, Watford, Derby County, Nottingham Forest and Birmingham City to march up the table. Bournemouth have lost just two league matches this term, though they were beaten at home by Preston North End on Tuesday night. This could be close, but we fancy the hosts to secure a narrow win on home soil. At the prices the value is definitely with the Tykes so take a punt on Barnsley to win by exactly one goal at very nice odds of 4/1.

5th Dec 2020

12:30 - Burnley v Everton

Everton Win @ 10/11

The Premier League weekend gets up and running with Saturday afternoon’s fixture between Burnley and Everton at Turf Moor. Neither team are in good shape, as the Clarets have won just once in league action this term, while the Toffees have lost four of their past five. Everton are the favourites, but who will come out on top in Lancashire?

Burnley picked up their first league win of the season last week, beating Crystal Palace 1-0 at Turf Moor. However, they were then thumped 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium. Everton’s excellent start seems a lifetime ago, as Carlo Ancelotti’s boys have taken just four points from the last 18 on offer. After a poor 1-0 home loss to Leeds United last time out, Everton will be desperate for a win this Saturday. The away victory is priced at 10/11 and they should have enough quality to get back on track here.

5th Dec 2020

12:30 - Reading v Nottingham Forest

Reading to Win by One Goal @ 11/4

Reading and Nottingham Forest meet at the Madejski Stadium in EFL Championship action on Saturday afternoon. The Royals made a very strong start to their season, but Veljko Paunovic’s side have won just one of their last seven in the Championship. As for Forest, they have lost three and drawn one of their previous four and after a woeful start they are very much at the wrong end of the table.

After four straight defeats, Reading have stopped the rot in recent weeks, drawing two and winning one of three. If results go their way this weekend, the Royals could move back to the top of the table with three points on home turf. Nottingham Forest held high flying Watford to a draw on Wednesday, but we fancy Reading to come out on top in this one. You can get the tempting price of 11/4 for the hosts to win by one goal, good value given they should edge it but don’t often score too many.

5th Dec 2020

15:00 - Manchester City v Fulham

Manchester City to Win Both Halves @ 8/11

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City entertain Scott Parker’s Fulham at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League this Saturday. After last weekend’s emphatic 5-0 home win over Burnley, the Citizens will be looking for another sizeable victory at the Etihad this Saturday. As expected, Guardiola’s superstars are the overwhelming favourites in this one.

Man City are down in 11th spot after making a mediocre start to their season. Pep’s boys have picked up just four league wins so far and have struggled to score goals, but they hammered Burnley in their last one. Fulham shocked Leicester City with a 2-1 win at the King Power Stadium last Monday, with Ademola Lookman and Ivan Cavaleiro scoring. However, Man City will surely be far too strong for the Cottagers here. Back the home team to win both halves at very nice looking odds of 8/11.

5th Dec 2020

15:00 - Watford v Cardiff City

Draw & BTTS @ 15/4

Vladimir Ivic’s Watford and Neil Harris’ Cardiff City meet at Vicarage Road in the EFL Championship this Saturday. The in-form Hornets are unbeaten in six (three wins, three draws), while the Bluebirds have picked up two big home wins in a week, beating Luton Town 4-0 and Huddersfield Town 3-0, to move up to 12th in the table after a slow start to the campaign. This should be an entertaining matchup at Vicarage Road.

Since a 1-0 defeat to Reading two months ago, Watford have lost just one of their following 11 Championship matches. The Hornets start the weekend in third spot, one point away from leaders Norwich City and they will be desperate to secure immediate and automatic promotion back to the top flight. After impressive back-to-back home victories, Cardiff will be looking for a good result on the road at the weekend. We can see these two cancelling each other out in Hertfordshire. Back the draw and both teams to score at general odds of 15/4.

5th Dec 2020

15:00 - Norwich v Sheffield Wednesday

Norwich City HT/FT @ 21/10

Despite a disappointing defeat to Luton Town at Kenilworth Road in midweek, Daniel Farke’s Norwich City remain top of the EFL Championship table and, like Watford, a fast return to the Premier League is their target. This Saturday, the Canaries welcome Tony Pulis’ Sheffield Wednesday to Carrow Road. Pulis has yet to taste victory as Owls boss, losing one and drawing three of his opening four.

Norwich’s loss at Luton on Wednesday was their first defeat since a shock home reverse to Derby County on October 3rd. Farke’s troops have been solid at home in recent games, winning three and drawing two of their past five. Sheffield Wednesday could really do with a positive result, but we fancy Norwich to get back to winning ways in style on Saturday. Have a punt on the home team to be winning at half time and full time at a nice price of 21/10.

5th Dec 2020

17:30 - West Ham v Manchester United

Draw @ 13/5

David Moyes’ West Ham United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United lock horns in an intriguing Premier League fixture on Saturday evening at the London Stadium. Both teams head into this one having won each of their last three in the Premier League, although United suffered a midweek defeat in the Champions League prior to this. Despite that poor performance against PSG on Wednesday, the Red Devils are the favourites, but can the Hammers continue their fine form and make it four victories on the spin?

West Ham have made a superb start, winning half of their 10 league matches to sit fifth in the table. A 2-1 loss at Anfield in late October remains the Irons’ only league defeat since September. After losing at home to Arsenal, Man Utd have secured successive league wins over Everton, West Bromwich Albion and Southampton. With both sides in good form in the Premier League, we can see the pair playing out a draw (13/5) in the capital this weekend.

5th Dec 2020

20:00 - Chelsea v Leeds

Chelsea to Win -2 Goals @ 3/1

Chelsea and Leeds United square off at Stamford Bridge for a fascinating Premier League fixture at the weekend. Frank Lampard’s in-form Blues are the clear favourites with the bookies, but Leeds have not looked out of place in the Premier League so far this season. Can Marcelo Bielsa’s men, who won at Everton last week, cause an upset in west London?

Chelsea are in sizzling form, winning seven and drawing one of their previous eight league and cup matches. In midweek, Olivier Giroud scored four in a stunning 4-0 UEFA Champions League win over Sevilla in Spain. Leeds have taken a respectable 14 points so far, winning four of 10 league matches. However, in-form Chelsea should ease to victory in this one and they have the attacking tools to punish Leeds’ struggling defence. Take a punt on the home side to win -2 at big odds of 3/1.

6th Dec 2020

12:00 - West Brom v Crystal Palace

West Bromwich Albion to Win 1-0 @ 8/1

West Bromwich Albion take on Crystal Palace at The Hawthorns in Premier League action on Sunday afternoon. Slaven Bilic’s men picked up their first league win of the season last weekend, with an early Conor Gallagher goal giving the Baggies a vital 1-0 victory over fellow strugglers Sheffield United. Can Albion follow that up with another home win this Sunday against a side that is in poor form?

Palace head to the Midlands having lost three of their last four in the Premier League and a bright start to the season seems a long time ago now. The Eagles have lost their previous two away from home, failing to score in either, losing 2-0 at Wolverhampton Wanderers and 1-0 at Burnley. After last Saturday’s result, we fancy West Brom to secure another narrow victory on their own patch. Check out the generous odds of 8/1 for Bilic’s boys to win 1-0 once again.

6th Dec 2020

14:15 - Sheffield United v Leicester

Sheffield United Win @ 14/5

With the pressure starting to mount on Chris Wilder and his Sheffield United side, the Blades will be desperate for all three points at Bramall Lane this weekend. On Sunday afternoon, United entertain Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City, who have lost their last two in the Premier League and also lost in the Europa League on Thursday night. Can Wilder’s side secure their first league victory of the season?

Sheffield United have had a miserable campaign to this point, failing to win any of their opening 10 Premier League games, suffering nine losses along the way to leave them bottom of the table, six points from safety. As for the Foxes, they are in fourth spot, although Rodgers’ boys have already lost four times. City are the favourites in this one, but we are backing Sheffield United to pick up a priceless three points on their own patch. The home win is available at 15/4 and at those odds it is worth chancing against opponents who look out of sorts right now.

6th Dec 2020

16:30 - Tottenham v Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur Win & BTTS @ 3/1

North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal go head-to-head at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday, the pick of the weekend’s top flight matches. Ahead of this round of fixtures, Spurs are sitting pretty at the top of the table, collecting 21 points from a possible 30. In contrast, Mikel Arteta’s Gunners are already eight points behind in 14th.

Tottenham are in terrific form at present, winning six and drawing one of nine in the Premier League since an opening weekend loss to Everton. Arsenal make the short trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium having lost five of their last eight in league action, although they recorded a fine win in midweek. Spurs came from behind to beat the Gunners 2-1 in the last meeting back in July and we fancy another exciting match here. You can get odds of 3/1 for the home win and both teams to score in this one.

6th Dec 2020

19:15 - Liverpool v Wolves

Liverpool Win & BTTS @ 9/4

On Sunday night at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolverhampton Wanderers go head-to-head in a fascinating Premier League fixture between two very good sides. As you would expect, the Reds are the clear favourites to get the win, but Wolves are not an easy nut to crack under Nuno. Will we see a shock at Anfield this weekend?

Liverpool are incredibly hard to beat at home, and the Premier League champions have won five out of five at Anfield in league action this term. Wolves have picked up three away wins, and Wanderers are capable of causing the home team problems. However, Liverpool should keep up their 100% winning record at Anfield. The Reds have kept just one clean sheet at home in the Premier League this season, though, so back the Liverpool win and both teams to score at 9/4.

7th Dec 2020

20:00 - Brighton v Southampton

Draw @ 12/5

The final Premier League fixture of the round sees Graham Potter’s Brighton & Hove Albion and Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton square off at the Amex Stadium on Monday night. The Seagulls, who held Liverpool to a draw last time out, have lost only one of their last six. As for the Saints, before last weekend’s dramatic loss to Manchester United, they had won five and drawn two of seven.

Since three league and cup wins in a row back in September, Brighton have won just one of their following nine in all competitions. However, four of their past six in the Premier League have ended in draws. Southampton will be eager to bounce back with a win after last Sunday’s gut-wrenching home defeat, but we can see this one ending all square at the Amex. Back the draw at 12/5, the value pick here with the hosts proving to be stalemate specialists this term.

8th Dec 2020

19:45 - Millwall v QPR

Draw @ 12/5

Two London sides go head-to-head at The Den in the EFL Championship on Tuesday, as Gary Rowett’s Millwall entertain Mark Warburton’s Queens Park Rangers. The Lions will be desperate for the points having failed to win any of their previous eight matches in the Championship. Last weekend, Millwall were beaten at home by lowly Derby County. Who will prevail in south London on Tuesday?

Since posting five draws on the bounce, Millwall have lost back-to-back games to Blackburn Rovers and Derby. As a result, Rowett’s men have slipped down to 14th position in the table. Warburton’s Rangers are also in poor form, as the Hoops have lost each of their last three games. Last time out, QPR were beaten 2-0 by Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium. With neither team in good shape, we can see this match being played in a cautious fashion. As such, neither is likely to take the initiative and we’ll be backing the draw at a fair price of 12/5.

8th Dec 2020

19:45 - Stoke v Cardiff

Cardiff City Win @ 19/10

Stoke City and Cardiff City lock horns at the bet365 Stadium in EFL Championship action on Tuesday night. The Potters have won four of their last six matches in the league, beating Middlesbrough 1-0 at home last weekend. Neil Harris’s Bluebirds are starting to get things right after a slow start, as the Welsh side have won three in a row without conceding.

Stoke have made a solid start, winning eight of their opening 16 matches. The Potters are sitting pretty in fifth place in the table at present, having collected 28 points along the way. Since a poor 1-0 defeat to Coventry City last month, Cardiff have put things right with successive wins over Luton Town, Huddersfield Town and Watford. This could go either way at the bet365, but we are backing the away team to make it four victories on the bounce. The Cardiff win is available at odds of 19/10.

8th Dec 2020

19:45 - Huddersfield v Sheffield Weds

Huddersfield Town to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

Huddersfield Town and Sheffield Wednesday square off at the John Smith’s Stadium in the EFL Championship on Tuesday evening. The Terriers have won their last two at home, while Wednesday are still searching for their first win under new boss Tony Pulis. Town are the slight favourites with the bookies in this Yorkshire clash, but can the Owls fly back to Hillsborough with all three points?

After a big defeat in Cardiff last Tuesday, Carlos Corberan’s Huddersfield hit back with an impressive 2-0 home victory over Queens Park Rangers at the weekend. As for Wednesday, their winless run stretched to six games after a 2-1 loss to Norwich City at Carrow Road. Unfortunately for Pulis, we can see his Owls side falling to another narrow defeat in midweek. Put some money Huddersfield to win by one goal at odds of 3/1.

8th Dec 2020

20:00 - RB Leipzig v Manchester Utd

Draw & BTTS @ 3/1

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer takes his Manchester United troops to Germany this Tuesday to face Julian Nagelsmann’s RB Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena in a vital UEFA Champions League Group H game. United, Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain are all on nine points going into the final fixture. However, having thumped the Red Bulls 5-0 at Old Trafford, a draw would put the Premier League side through to the next round.

Man United have more than played their part in Group H, but the Red Devils have lost two of their last three games. Last week, Ole’s boys were beaten 3-1 at home by PSG. Paris should ease past Istanbul Basaksehir in their game, but who will join the French giants in the last 16? As we mentioned, a point would be enough for United, so take a punt on the draw and both teams to score at odds of 3/1.

8th Dec 2020

20:00 - Chelsea v Krasnodar

Chelsea to Win to Nil @ 6/5

With Chelsea already safely through to the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League, Frank Lampard’s men can basically relax and enjoy Tuesday night’s home fixture against Russian side Krasnodar. However, the Blues will want to maintain their unbeaten record in Group E and they will be keen to win the group with 16 points from a possible 18. As expected, Chelsea are the overwhelming favourites in this one and few will be betting against them.

The Premier League outfit have been excellent in the Champions League this term, winning four games in a row since a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge with Sevilla on Matchday One. Last week, Olivier Giroud scored all four goals in a comprehensive 4-0 victory in Seville. The Blues have kept four clean sheets in Group E, and Lampard’s men should stop Krasnodar from scoring at the Bridge. As such we’ll be backing Chelsea to win to nil at a decent enough price of 6/5.

9th Dec 2020

17:55 - Midtjylland v Liverpool

Liverpool to Win 2-0 @ 10/1

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are in the last 16 of this season’s UEFA Champions League, taking 12 points from a possible 15 in Group D. The Reds have already won the group, but Klopp’s boys will be looking for another victory when they take on Midtjylland at the MCH Arena on Wednesday. The Danish side have picked up just one point from five group games.

Apart from a minor setback against Atalanta, Liverpool have looked very solid in Champions League Group D. The Premier League champions have picked up two 1-0 wins over Ajax, beat Atalanta 5-0 on the road, and won the reverse game against Midtjylland at Anfield by two goals to nil. It remains to be seen what sort of XI the Reds will field but no matter what, Klopp’s boys should ease past the Danes once again on Wednesday. A repeat 2-0 Liverpool win is available at the huge price of 10/1 and is worth a pop.

9th Dec 2020

19:00 - Preston v Middlesbrough

Draw & BTTS @ 7/2

On Wednesday night in the EFL Championship, Alex Neil’s Preston North End take on Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough at Deepdale. Preston have impressed on the road this season, but the Lilywhites have lost six of their opening eight home league matches, taking just four points from a possible 24. Will Boro leave Lancashire in midweek with all three points in the bag?

Warnock’s Middlesbrough were hard to beat at the start of the season, but they head to Deepdale having lost three of their last five league games. However, only Millwall and Birmingham City have drawn more games than Boro in this season’s Championship, and we can see these two playing out a draw at Deepdale on Wednesday. Check out the solid odds of 7/2 for the draw and both teams to score, with 1-1 also worth a small bet.

9th Dec 2020

19:45 - Bristol City v Blackburn

Blackburn Rovers to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

Bristol City and Blackburn Rovers are two EFL Championship clubs with Premier League aspirations. The Robins and Rovers go head-to-head at Ashton Gate in an intriguing Championship fixture this Wednesday night. City are eighth in the table on 27 points, with Blackburn a place and two points behind. Who will come out on top in this key Championship clash?

Dean Holden has made a good start, guiding Bristol City to eight wins from their opening 16 league matches. As for Blackburn, they have recovered well after a slump in form, winning four and drawing three of their previous seven. Before last weekend’s draw at Brentford, Rovers had won three on the spin, with two of those ending 2-1. Back free scoring Blackburn to win by one goal on Wednesday at 3/1.

9th Dec 2020

19:45 - Norwich City v Nottingham Forest

Norwich City to Win -1 Goal @ 15/8

EFL Championship leaders Norwich City entertain struggling Nottingham Forest at Carrow Road on Wednesday. After a disappointing 3-1 loss at Luton Town, the Canaries hit back at the weekend with a 2-1 home win over Sheffield Wednesday. Forest’s 2-0 reverse at Reading was their fourth defeat in five Championship games.

Norwich are top of the table ahead of this round of fixtures. Daniel Farke’s men have won nine, drawn four and lost three of their opening 16 games, scoring 21 and shipping 15 in the process. City have been solid at Carrow Road so far, collecting 15 points. In contrast, only Coventry City have picked up fewer away points than Chris Hughton’s Nottingham Forest. Norwich should cruise to victory in this one so back the hosts to win -1 at odds of 15/8.

9th Dec 2020

20:00 - Manchester City v Marseille

Manchester City to Win to Nil @ 5/4

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City welcome Andre Villas-Boas’ Marseille to the Etihad Stadium in UEFA Champions League group action. Man City are already through to the Round of 16, but the Premier League giants will want to end Group C with another three points on Wednesday. As you would expect, City are the clear favourites with the bookies but Marseille will be battling to earn a spot in the Europa League so do have something still to play for.

Pep’s boys have dominated Group C, winning four and drawing one of five. Along the way, Man City have scored 10 times and conceded just once. In the reverse match in Marseille back in October, goals from Ferran Torres, Ilkay Gundogan and Raheem Sterling gave City a comfortable 3-0 away win. We fancy more of the same in this one, so take a punt on the hosts to win to nil again at 5/4, a result which will leave the French side bottom of the pile.

10th Dec 2020

17:55 - Dundalk v Arsenal

Arsenal to Win -2 Goals @ 21/20

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will be looking to keep up their 100% winning record in UEFA Europa League Group B. The Gunners make the trip to the Aviva Stadium in Dublin this Thursday to take on Filippo Giovagnoli’s Dundalk. Arsenal have taken 15 points from a possible 15, while the Republic of Ireland outfit have lost all five of their group games and so it is impossible to see anything other than an away win.

Arsenal’s form in the Premier League has been poor, but Arteta’s troops have been excellent in Europe this term. Not only have they taken maximum points in Group B, the London side have also scored a staggering 16 goals. In the reverse fixture at the Emirates Stadium a couple of months back, goals from Eddie Nketiah, Joe Willock and Nicolas Pepe gave Arsenal a comfortable 3-0 win. Take a punt on the away team to win -2 in Dublin at solid looking odds of 21/20.

10th Dec 2020

17:55 - Lech Poznan v Rangers

Rangers Win @ 8/13

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers have had an astounding 2020-21 season to this point and if anything seem to be getting better! Can the Scottish Premiership leaders chalk up another win when they take on Lech Poznan in Poland in the UEFA Europa League this Thursday? The in-form Gers are already through to the Round of 32 after taking an impressive 11 points from five games. Rangers are the odds-on favourites in this one.

If the Glasgow giants match (or better) Benfica’s result on Thursday, Gerrard’s men will win Group D. Rangers have been in stunning form so far this season, picking up 21 wins and drawing four of their 25 league and cup matches. The Light Blues edged the meeting at Ibrox in October, with Alfredo Morelos scoring the only goal of the game. We fancy the visitors to leave Poznan with all three points on Thursday. The Rangers win is available at 8/13.

10th Dec 2020

20:00 - Tottenham v Antwerp

Tottenham Hotspur to Win to Nil @ 6/4

Tottenham Hotspur and Antwerp meet in London on Thursday in a straight shootout for first place in UEFA Europa League Group J. The Belgian side lead the way on 12 points, with Spurs two points behind. Therefore, only three points will do for Jose Mourinho’s men. Tottenham lost the reverse game, but the Premier League leaders are the clear favourites in this one and given their current form they should get the job done.

Spurs were held to a 3-3 draw by LASK in a thrilling game in Linz last week, which was enough to see the Lilywhites through to the last 32. Tottenham have not quite been at their blistering best in the Europa League, but they have reached the knockouts with one group game to spare and, of course, sit atop the Premier League too. Jose’s boys will be out for revenge after their 1-0 loss in Antwerp in October and this time, we fancy Spurs to win to nil (6/4).

10th Dec 2020

20:00 - Leicester v AEK Athens

Leicester City to Win -2 Goals @ 9/4

Despite taking just one point from their last two UEFA Europa League group games, Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City are safely through to the last 32. The Foxes will be hoping to return to winning ways in Europe when they welcome AEK Athens to the King Power Stadium on Thursday. The Premier League outfit are the clear favourites to get the points.

Leicester stormed their way to top spot in Group G by winning their opening three matches. They have taken their foot off the gas in the last two, but three points on Thursday will be enough to win the group. Athens have had a pretty forgettable campaign, losing four of their five fixtures. We can see Leicester securing an easy home victory in midweek. Put some money on the hosts to win -2 (9/4).

10th Dec 2020

20:00 - Celtic v Lille

Lille to Win 3-0 @ 20/1

Neil Lennon’s Celtic end their miserable UEFA Europa League campaign with a home game against Christophe Galtier’s Lille on Thursday night. The Hoops have drawn one and lost four, while the French team are through having taken 11 points from a possible 15. The Bhoys could crash to another heavy European defeat at Celtic Park.

Celtic have had a dreadful time domestically and things have not been any better in Europe this season. In this competition they have shipped a staggering 17 goals in five games. The Glasgow side’s one and only point came in the reverse game in Lille, but we can see Galtier’s side being far too strong for Lennon’s troops this Thursday. Lille have won by three goals on two occasions in Group H, beating Sparta Prague 4-1 and AC Milan 3-0 (both away from home). The 3-0 away win here is available at the eye-opening odds of 20/1 and with the hosts floundering that is worth a small investment.

11th Dec 2020

20:00 - Leeds v West Ham

West Ham United Win @ 9/4

This weekend’s Premier League action gets underway with a cracking fixture at Elland Road on Friday night, as Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United entertain David Moyes’ West Ham United. Leeds will be looking for their first home win since beating Fulham 4-3 back in September. As for the Hammers, they have won two of their last four on the road and are riding high in the table, up in eighth, six places, though only three points, above Leeds.

Bielsa’s boys have made a steady start to life in the Premier League, winning four, drawing two and losing five so far. However, the Yorkshire side have lost three of their past five games and have found goals a lot more difficult to come by of late. Last weekend’s 3-1 home loss to Manchester United was West Ham’s first defeat in four. The Irons have been hard to beat this term and had won the previous three, keeping two clean sheets to boot. We fancy the London side to edge this one at Elland Road and the away win is nicely priced at 9/4.

12th Dec 2020

12:30 - Wolves v Aston Villa

Wolves to Win to Nil @ 11/4

West Midlands rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa square off in this mid-table clash in the Premier League at Molineux on Saturday. After last weekend’s heavy loss at Anfield, Wolves will be looking to hit back with a home victory on Saturday. Villa made an excellent start to their season, but Dean Smith’s men make the short trip to Molineux having lost four of their last five. Both sides are in need of the three points to get back on track, but who will prevail?

Wolves have been solid on their own patch of late. Since a 3-1 loss to Manchester City at the start of the season, Wanderers have gone four games unbeaten at home, winning two and drawing two. The home victories over Fulham and Crystal Palace came with clean sheets, and we can see Nuno Espirito Santo’s boys shutting Aston Villa out in this one. Put some money on Wolves to win to nil at odds 11/4 as Villa fail to muster the necessary breakthrough to find a goal.

12th Dec 2020

12:30 - Cardiff v Swansea

Draw @ 23/10

Neil Harris’s Cardiff City and Steve Cooper’s Swansea City meet in a mouth-watering South Wales derby at the Cardiff City Stadium in EFL Championship action on Saturday afternoon. The Bluebirds have hit a purple patch of form at just the right time, winning each of their last four games. The Swans, who sit in fourth place in the table as things stand, have lost only one of their previous five matches. This promises to be a cracking derby in the Welsh capital but which side will have the energy and desire to take the three points?

Cardiff made a sluggish start to their season, but Harris’s boys have certainly turned a corner of late. In the last week, City have won away at Watford and Stoke City. Swansea bounced back well from defeat at Middlesbrough, beating Luton Town and drawing with fellow high flyers Bournemouth. With both teams in fine fettle, we fancy the rivals to cancel each other out in Cardiff. Though either side could well nick it on the day, we are backing the draw at odds of 23/10.

12th Dec 2020

15:00 - Newcastle v West Brom

Newcastle United to Win -1 Goal @ 3/1

Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United welcome Slaven Bilic’s West Bromwich Albion to St James’ Park this Saturday for a Premier League fixture between two sides who are in danger of facing a long relegation battle in the coming weeks and months, especially the Baggies. The Magpies picked up an impressive 2-0 win at Crystal Palace in their last game, with Callum Wilson and Joelinton netting late goals in south London. Can United make it back-to-back league wins for the first time this season or will the visitors manage to post only their second win of the campaign?

Newcastle have made a steady start to their campaign, while West Brom have struggled in the top flight since winning promotion from the EFL Championship. After back-to-back draws in October, Albion have lost four of their following five matches. Their one and only Premier League victory came against bottom side Sheffield United last month. Newcastle should see off West Brom at St James’ Park on Saturday as the visitors are low on both confidence and ideas at the moment. As such we’re happy to back the home team to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 3/1.

12th Dec 2020

17:30 - Manchester Utd v Manchester City

Manchester United to Win by One Goal @ 9/2

The standout Premier League fixture of the round sees rivals Manchester United and Manchester City battle it out at Old Trafford on Saturday evening. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were dumped out of the UEFA Champions League in midweek, although the Red Devils have won four games on the bounce in the league. As for City, they have won four and drawn one of five league and cup matches since a 2-0 Premier League loss against current top flight leaders Tottenham Hotspur last month.

When these two sides last met, Anthony Martial and Scott McTominay got the goals in a (rather surprising) 2-0 United victory at Old Trafford back in March. In fact, the rivals locked horns four times last term, with the Red Devils picking up three wins. City have a good recent record over United, but we fancy Ole’s boys to nick this one on home soil. You can get Man United to win by a one goal margin at odds of 9/2.

12th Dec 2020

20:00 - Everton v Chelsea

Chelsea Win & BTTS @ 11/5

Everton and Chelsea meet at Goodson Park this weekend in a fascinating fixture in the Premier League. The Toffees could do with the points having lost four of their last six games. However, Frank Lampard’s Blues are in scintillating form at present and are unbeaten in 14 league and cup games. Will the London side return to the capital with all three points or can the Toffees stave off their opponents?

Carlo Ancelotti’s men started extremely well this season, picking up seven wins from their opening seven matches in all competitions. Unfortunately, they have won just one game since that fine run. Chelsea have taken 13 points from the last 15 on offer, meanwhile, and are sitting just two points away from top spot. We fancy the visitors to edge an entertaining match at Goodison on Saturday night. Take a punt on the Chelsea win and both teams to score, which is generously priced at odds of 11/5.

13th Dec 2020

12:00 - Southampton v Sheffield United

Southampton HT/FT @ 7/4

The first Premier League game on an action-packed Sunday sees Southampton and Sheffield United square off at St Mary’s. The Saints are riding high in fifth with 20 points to their name, while the Blades are rock bottom. Sheffield United are the only side in the division yet to win a game this season, taking just one point from a possible 33 and if they do not produce some results soon they are in danger of being curt adrift at the bottom.

In major contrast, Southampton have made an excellent start to their season. The Saints have lost just one of their last nine Premier League matches, picking up six wins along the way. After letting a 2-0 lead slip to lose 3-2 at home to Manchester United, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s boys struck back with a solid 2-1 win at Brighton & Hove Albion last Monday. The home team should ease past sorry Sheffield United this weekend. Back the hosts to be winning at half time and full time (7/4).

13th Dec 2020

14:15 - Crystal Palace v Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur Win & BTTS @ 11/4

Two London sides clash at Selhurst Park in the Premier League this Saturday, as Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace entertain Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs have made a fine start to their season, winning seven, drawing three and losing one to sit top of the table on 24 points. Will the Lilywhites stay at the summit with a win at Palace and could this finally be the year they land the biggest prize of all?

After back-to-back defeats to Burnley and Newcastle United, the Eagles secured a much-needed victory at West Bromwich Albion last time out. Crystal Palace ran riot, leaving The Hawthorns with an emphatic 5-1 win. We fancy Hodgson’s boys to get on the scoresheet on home soil this Sunday, but our money is going on the Tottenham victory. Check out the solid price of 11/4 for the Spurs win and both teams to score.

13th Dec 2020

16:30 - Fulham v Liverpool

Liverpool to Win to Nil @ 7/5

Premier League champions Liverpool make the trip to Craven Cottage this Sunday to face Fulham. The Cottagers have taken seven points so far, winning just two of their opening 11 league fixtures and another instant Premier League relegation is staring them in the face already. As for the Reds, they are level on points with leaders Tottenham Hotspur. Jurgen Klopp’s boys will be looking for an eighth Premier League victory of the season this Sunday and despite their injuries they continue to grind out the results.

Fulham picked up a sensational win at Leicester City recently, which was their first away league victory of the season. However, at Craven Cottage, Scott Parker’s boys have lost four of their opening five. Liverpool have won four and drawn three of seven in the league since that heavy defeat at Villa Park two months back. Their last two wins have come with clean sheets, and against a side that really lack firepower, we like the look of Liverpool to win to nil on Sunday at solid odds of 7/5.

13th Dec 2020

19:15 - Arsenal v Burnley

Draw @ 21/4

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal welcome Sean Dyche’s Burnley to the Emirates Stadium in Premier League action this Sunday night. It is still early days, but this is a vital fixture for both clubs, with both a long way short of where they want to be. The Gunners have lost six of their last nine league games, while the Clarets have picked up just one Premier League win all season.

Arsenal have been faultless in Europe, but Arteta’s troops have taken just one point from a possible 12 in the league since winning 1-0 at Old Trafford on November 1st. Burnley are in the relegation zone having taken a mere six points thus far. However, before a heavy 5-0 loss at the Etihad Stadium, the Lancashire side drew 0-0 on the road with West Bromwich Albion and Brighton & Hove Albion. Last time out they also got a good draw against Everton and so we fancy the away team to nick a point (21/4) in London.

13th Dec 2020

19:15 - Leicester v Brighton

Leicester City to Win -1 Goal @ 5/2

On Sunday night in the Premier League, Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City welcome Graham Potter’s Brighton & Hove Albion to the King Power Stadium. The Foxes are flying high in fourth at present, winning seven of their opening 11 games. As for the Seagulls, they find themselves down in 16th place on just 10 points. The hosts are the clear favourites in this one and against a team that continue to struggle to put their chances away we fancy the Foxes to register an easy enough win.

Apart from a couple of iffy results here and there, Leicester have been in superb form of late. City have won eight of their last 12 league and cup games. In contrast, Brighton’s recent win at Aston Villa remains their only league triumph since a 3-0 victory at Newcastle United on matchday two. Leicester should ease to three points on home turf this Sunday. Back the hosts to win -1 (5/2).

15th Dec 2020

17:30 - QPR v Stoke

Stoke City Win & BTTS @ 9/2

Queens Park Rangers and Stoke City clash in EFL Championship action at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Tuesday evening. After a woeful run of four defeats and a draw from their last five games, Rangers have dropped down to 19th place in the table, just five points above the relegation zone. Will the Potters pile more misery on the London side or can QPR find some form?

Since a 3-2 home win over Rotherham United on 24th November, QPR have taken just one point from five games. In fact, that victory over the Millers remains their only success in eight Championship matches. Stoke have made a steady start, and Michael O’Neill’s troops will be looking for a seventh away win of the season (in all competitions) on Tuesday. The away victory and both teams to score is priced at odds of 9/2, which looks worth a punt.

15th Dec 2020

18:00 - Wolves v Chelsea

Chelsea Win @ 4/6

On Tuesday night in the Premier League, Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolverhampton Wanderers and Frank Lampard’s Chelsea meet in a tasty fixture at Molineux. Wolves have slipped down to 13th after back-to-back defeats, while the Blues were beaten in the league for the first time since September last Saturday. Both teams will be desperate for all three points in midweek after slipping to narrow defeats at the weekend, but which side will bounce back?

Wanderers have been in poor form of late, picking up just four points from the last 15 on offer. Last time out, Nuno’s boys were beaten 1-0 at home by West Midlands rivals Aston Villa. Before last weekend’s 1-0 loss at Goodison Park, Chelsea had gone nine Premier League matches without defeat, winning five and drawing four. After showing fine form all season, we think the defeat at Everton was just a blip. As such we fancy the London side to return to winning ways at Molineux on Tuesday. The away victory is available at odds of 4/6, which is just about good enough to tempt us.

15th Dec 2020

19:45 - Bournemouth v Wycombe

Bournemouth HT/FT @ 5/6

Two teams at different ends of the EFL Championship table go head-to-head at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday, as Jason Tindall’s Bournemouth entertain Gareth Ainsworth’s Wycombe Wanderers. The Cherries sit second behind Norwich City with 34 points to their name, while the Chairboys are down in 23rd place on just 11 points so far. Will Bournemouth pick up a comfortable home win in midweek or is a shock on the cards?

Tindall has made a great start to life as head coach at the Vitality, guiding Bournemouth to nine wins from their opening 18 Championship matches. Since a shock 3-2 home loss to Preston North End, Bournemouth have taken seven points from a possible nine, scoring nine goals in the process and shipping none. The home team should cruise past struggling Wycombe this Tuesday so it might be a matter of not if, but by how many. Put some money on Bournemouth to be winning at half time and full time at odds of 5/6.

15th Dec 2020

20:00 - Manchester City v West Brom

Manchester City to Win to Nil @ 8/13

Manchester City take on West Bromwich Albion at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Tuesday night. City are unbeaten in six league and cup games since losing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in league action last month. As for Slaven Bilic’s Baggies, they head to Manchester having lost five of their last six games in the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola’s men have been excellent at the Etihad since that shock 5-2 reverse to Leicester City back in September. Man City have won six and drawn one of their past seven matches on their own patch in all competitions. The Citizens have kept clean sheets in each of their last four home wins, and the hosts should cruise to all three points on Tuesday. We’ll be backing Man City to win to nil at a fair price of 8/13.

15th Dec 2020

20:00 - Watford v Brentford

Draw & Over 3.5 Goals @ 11/1

The standout game in the EFL Championship in midweek sees Vladimir Ivic’s Watford and Thomas Frank’s Brentford go head-to-head at Vicarage Road on Tuesday night. The Hornets are flying high in third place in the table at present with 33 points, with the Bees just two points behind them in sixth spot. The midweek showdown in Hertfordshire promises to be a Championship cracker that is not to be missed.

After a disappointing 1-0 home loss to Cardiff City, Watford have hit back with wins over Rotherham United and Birmingham City. Brentford’s impressive 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground last time out stretched their unbeaten run to 11 league games. This could go either way, but we fancy the pair to play out an entertaining draw at Vicarage Road. Check out the draw and over 3.5 goals, which is nicely priced at odds of 11/1.

16th Dec 2020

17:30 - Derby v Swansea

Swansea City Win @ 13/10

Derby County welcome Swansea City to Pride Park this Wednesday for an EFL Championship fixture that both sides want to win, but for very different reasons. After going five games unbeaten, the Rams have moved off the foot of the table but they are still very much in the relegation quagmire. As for the Swans, their 2-0 win over South Wales rivals Cardiff City last time out lifted them up to third place in the table, four points adrift of leaders Norwich City. Swansea are the obvious favourites in this one, and we can’t envisage an upset occurring.

Derby have won one and drawn four of their last five games in the Championship. County have certainly improved under Wayne Rooney, who has taken temporary charge of the team since Phillip Cocu’s sacking. However, Derby have picked up just two Championship wins all season. Swansea won at Cardiff last weekend, and Steve Cooper’s men are a solid side on the road. Backing the Swans to win this one at odds of 13/10 should pay dividends.

16th Dec 2020

18:00 - Arsenal v Southampton

Southampton Win @ 21/10

After suffering yet another Premier League defeat last weekend, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will be desperate for all three points on Wednesday. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s in-form Southampton visit the Emirates Stadium in midweek Premier League action. Incredibly, the Gunners find themselves down in 15th position in the table, while the Saints are 10 points above them in fourth spot. It’s not going to be an easy night for either side, but who will prevail in the capital?

Since securing a famous win at Old Trafford in early November, Arsenal have taken just one point from a possible 15. After a 0-0 draw at Leeds United, the London side have lost successive league matches to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley. In contrast, Southampton have won seven of their past 10 matches in the Premier League. We can see Hasenhuttl’s men piling even more misery on Arteta and co this Wednesday. The away win is priced at odds of 21/10 and that looks a decent value option to us.

16th Dec 2020

18:00 - Leeds v Newcastle

Draw & BTTS @ 15/4

Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United and Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United go head-to-head in an intriguing Premier League fixture at Elland Road this Wednesday night. The Whites have been very competitive on their Premier League return up until now, but Bielsa’s boys have picked up just one win at Elland Road this season.

Leeds sit in 14th spot in the table at present having taken 14 points from 12 Premier League fixtures. So far, United have won four, drawn two and lost six of their games. Newcastle are currently three points above in 12th position. After seeing off Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion in their last two games, the Magpies will be looking for a third straight Premier League victory on Wednesday. However, we fancy this to end all square at Elland Road. Check out the draw and both teams to score at odds of 15/4.

16th Dec 2020

18:00 - Leicester v Everton

Leicester City to Win to Nil @ 10/3

Leicester City will be looking for another victory when they entertain Everton at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League in midweek. No side in England’s top tier have won more games than Brendan Rodgers’ men, with the Foxes sitting pretty in third place as a result. Everton will be buoyed after last weekend’s narrow win over Chelsea, but this will be a tough test for Carlo Ancelotti’s Toffees.

Leicester have picked up eight Premier League victories so far. Ahead of this midweek fixture list, Rodgers’ boys are just one point off top spot. Since going four games without a win, City have hit back with three consecutive league and cup victories, easing to a 3-0 home win over Brighton and Hove Albion last time out. We’re confident the home side will continue their fine form and we’ll be putting a few quid on Leicester to win to nil on Wednesday at odds of 10/3.

16th Dec 2020

19:00 - Cardiff v Birmingham

Cardiff City to Win -1 Goal @ 13/5

After losing the South Wales derby to rivals Swansea City last weekend, Neil Harris’s Cardiff City will want to hit back with all three points at the first time of asking on Wednesday night. The Bluebirds welcome Aitor Karanka’s Birmingham City to the Cardiff City Stadium in EFL Championship action. Will the Welsh side get the win, or can the Blues return to England with a positive result?

Before last weekend’s disappointing home defeat to the Swans, Cardiff had won four in a row in the Championship, beating Luton Town, Huddersfield Town, Watford and Stoke City. Birmingham had won two away games on the spin before last Saturday’s narrow home loss to the Hornets. We fancy the home team to seal a comfortable victory here and we’ll be backing Cardiff to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 13/5.

16th Dec 2020

20:00 - Liverpool v Tottenham

Liverpool Win & Over 3.5 Goals @ 10/3

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur square off in a blockbuster Premier League fixture at Anfield on Wednesday night. Both teams have racked up 25 points from 12 league games thus far, with Spurs leading the way on goal difference. Who will start the weekend at the top of the Premier League table?

Tottenham have made a superb start to their season under Mourinho, but this is without doubt their toughest assignment yet. Liverpool are incredibly hard to topple on their own patch. Even though Klopp’s boys have not been at their best this season, the Reds are odds-on to win this one. This promises to be an entertaining game between the league’s two best teams at present, and we like the look of the Liverpool win and over 3.5 goals to be scored at a fair price of 10/3.

16th Dec 2020

20:00 - Reading v Norwich

Norwich City to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

Veljko Paunovic’s Reading and Daniel Farke’s Norwich City lock horns in a huge EFL Championship fixture on Wednesday night. League leaders Norwich head to the Madejski Stadium as the 5/4 favourites. The Canaries have the best away record in the league at the moment after winning six of their nine games and having taken an impressive 19 points on the road. Will City win on their travels again in midweek or will Reading stunt their progress?

Reading have improved in recent weeks, winning three of their past five games. The Royals are currently in fifth spot, four points behind Norwich. Since a 3-1 loss at Luton Town, Farke’s boys have won their following three games, each by a 2-1 scoreline. We can see the leaders securing a narrow victory at the Madejski in midweek. You can get the tempting price of 3/1 for Norwich to win by one goal, which looks good to us.

17th Dec 2020

18:00 - Aston Villa v Burnley

Aston Villa to Win to Nil @ 2/1

Dean Smith’s Aston Villa take on Sean Dyche’s Burnley at Villa Park on Thursday in the Premier League as both sides look to build on victories they achieved last time out. Villa have picked up several eye-catching wins this season, seeing off Liverpool, Leicester City and Arsenal so far. The Villans have won six of their opening 10 Premier League matches, and the hosts are the favourites to prevail in this one.

Villa got back to winning ways after back-to-back defeats to Brighton and Hove Albion and West Ham United, sealing an excellent 1-0 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers last Saturday. Burnley won 1-0 at Arsenal last time out, which was just their second league victory of the season, but this will be a tough one for the Clarets from Lancashire. Aston Villa’s last three wins have come with shutouts. You can get the home win to nil here at odds of 2/1.

17th Dec 2020

20:00 - Sheffield Utd v Manchester Utd

Manchester United HT/FT @ 5/4

Sheffield United entertain Manchester United at Bramall Lane in the Premier League on Thursday night. Chris Wilder has done a remarkable job at the Sheffield club since arriving, but the Blades have had a miserable season so far, collecting just one point from 12 games. Sheffield United could crash to a 12th Premier League defeat of the season on Thursday.

Man United are starting to improve in the league and have taken 13 points from the last 15 on offer. The Red Devils have been exceptional away from home this term, winning five out of five on their travels. In truth, the Manchester giants should cruise to all three points at Bramall Lane on Thursday night. Have a punt on the away team to be winning at half time and full time at the solid price of 5/4.

18th Dec 2020

20:00 - Preston v Bristol City

Bristol City to Win by One Goal @ 7/2

The weekend’s EFL Championship fixtures get underway on Friday night, as Alex Neil’s Preston North End welcome Dean Holden’s Bristol City to Deepdale. Since taking seven points from three games, North End have fallen into something of a slump and lost their last two matches. As for the Robins, they have lost four of their previous six games. Friday’s clash in Lancashire could go either way but we fancy the visitors could just about edge things.

Preston have one of the best away records in the Championship, but their form at home has been atrocious. Neil’s side have lost six of their opening nine league games at Deepdale, winning just twice. Bristol City head to Lancashire in patchy form, but the Robins have won five of nine away matches in the Championship. Though this should be a close match, we can see the away team nicking a narrow victory at Deepdale on Friday based on their decent away form. As such we’ll be backing City to win by a one goal margin at decent odds of 7/2.

19th Dec 2020

12:30 - Crystal Palace v Liverpool

Liverpool to Win -1 Goal @ 13/10

Liverpool moved back to the top of the Premier League table with a last-gasp win over title rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday evening. The Reds have been poor on the road this term by their high standards, but Jurgen Klopp’s men will want to follow up the huge midweek win with three points at Selhurst Park on Saturday. Crystal Palace are an unpredictable outfit, but the visitors are the red-hot favourites to get the win.

Liverpool have not won away from home in the Premier League since beating Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge back in September. However, they have only lost once on the road in league action this term. Palace have won one and drawn two of their last three, but Liverpool should leave London with a comfortable victory on Saturday. Have a punt on the away team to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 13/10.

19th Dec 2020

12:30 - Norwich v Cardiff

Norwich City Win & BTTS @ 3/1

EFL Championship leaders Norwich City welcome in-form Cardiff City to Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon. The Canaries, who are three points clear at the top, are the strong favourites with the bookies, but can the Bluebirds cause the home team problems? Norwich will be gunning for a fifth consecutive Championship victory in this one and they have the momentum and quality to achieve that aim.

Daniel Farke’s boys have been in stunning form of late, winning 11 of their past 15 league games. Cardiff have also found some form, with Neil Harris’s troops winning five of their previous six. However, this will be a stern test for the team from South Wales. We fancy Cardiff to score at Carrow Road, but Norwich should get the job done on home turf. You can get the home win and both teams to score at the tempting price of 3/1.

19th Dec 2020

15:00 - Southampton v Manchester City

Draw @ 7/2

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton entertain Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at St Mary’s on Saturday in a fascinating Premier League fixture. 13 games have now gone and the Saints find themselves four points above Man City in the Premier League table. Despite that, the Citizens head to the coast as the odds-on favourites to return to Manchester with maximum points.

Southampton have been in stunning form of late, winning seven of their past 11 matches in the league. In contrast, Man City have struggled to get going this term. City have won just two of their last six games in the Premier League, and the Manchester giants were held to a 1-1 home draw by lowly West Bromwich Albion last time out. We are backing the Saints to seal a point on home turf this Saturday afternoon at odds of 7/2.

19th Dec 2020

17:30 - Everton v Arsenal

Everton Win @ 5/4

Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal lock horns at Goodison Park in a big Premier League fixture on Saturday evening. The Toffees have found some form again and have won three of their last five games. As a result, Ancelotti’s troops have moved back up to fifth place in the table, just five points away from leaders Liverpool. As for the Gunners, they languish in 15th place after 13 games having amassed just 14 points thus far.

Everton have got back on track after impressive back-to-back wins over Chelsea and Leicester City. Arsenal stopped a run of three successive league defeats in midweek, but they dropped points at home once again, drawing 1-1 with in-form Southampton at the Emirates Stadium. The London side will be desperate for a win, but our money is going on Everton in this one. The hosts are available at odds of 5/4 to come out on top.

19th Dec 2020

20:00 - Newcastle v Fulham

Fulham Win & Under 2.5 Goals @ 4/1

Newcastle United and Fulham clash in an intriguing Premier League fixture this Saturday night at St James’ Park. After their humiliating 5-2 loss at Elland Road in midweek, will the Magpies strike back with three points on home turf at the weekend? Newcastle are the slight favourites with the bookies, but this one really could go either way.

Fulham are starting to grow into this Premier League season and have taken five points from the last 12 on offer. Before Wednesday’s 0-0 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion, Scott Parker’s men held Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage last weekend. Fulham do not win many away from home, but we fancy the Whites to leave Tyneside with a massive three points. Check out the superb price of 4/1 for the Fulham win and under 2.5 goals to be scored in the match.

20th Dec 2020

12:00 - Brighton v Sheffield United

Brighton & Hove Albion Win @ 7/10

Sunday’s first game in the Premier League sees Graham Potter’s Brighton and Hove Albion and Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United square off at the Amex Stadium in the early afternoon in what could already be described as a relegation six-pointer. The Seagulls are in 16th place in the table at present, having collected 11 points from their 13 league games to date. As for the Blades, they are rock bottom with just one point to their name and a goal difference of minus 17. Brighton will be relatively confident of securing the home win here, but nothing is assured in the top flight.

Despite a brave showing, Thursday’s 3-2 home loss to Manchester United was Sheffield United’s 12th defeat in 13 Premier League games this season. Wilder’s side are already nine points adrift of safety as things stand and it doesn’t look like they’re going to get out of trouble any time soon. Unfortunately, we can see the league’s bottom side crashing to another damaging defeat at the weekend. Brighton are the clear favourites, and you can get very fair odds of 7/10 for the home win.

20th Dec 2020

14:15 - Tottenham v Leicester

Tottenham Hotspur to Win -1 Goal @ 5/2

Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur and Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City lock horns in a mouth-watering Premier League fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. The pair suffered disappointing defeats in midweek, so both teams will be hoping to bounce back with a positive result in this one. These two are separated by just one point in the Premier League table as things stand with Spurs in second place and Leicester in fourth.

Both of Tottenham’s league defeats this season have come against Merseyside opposition. Before Wednesday’s reverse at Anfield, Spurs had not lost in the Premier League since an opening weekend home defeat to Everton. The Foxes are flying high, but Rodgers’ boys have had a mixed bag of results this term. City have won eight league games, but they have also suffered five defeats. On balance we think Spurs have the greater overall quality and we like the look of Tottenham to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 5/2.

20th Dec 2020

14:15 - Celtic v Hearts

Celtic to Win -1 Goal @ 8/11

Neil Lennon’s Celtic and Robbie Neilson’s Hearts go head-to-head at Hampden Park on Sunday in the 2020 Scottish FA Cup final. This tournament, which started way back in August 2019, will finally reach its climax after several months of delays. The Hoops have been in patchy form of late, but the Scottish Premiership champions are the red-hot favourites to get the win and add another Scottish Cup to their trophy cabinet.

Hearts ply their trade in the Scottish Championship these days after suffering relegation from the top tier last term. The Jambos have made an excellent start to their season, but the Bhoys should come out on top in this one if they play to their potential, which they haven’t done all that often this season! Having said that, Lennon’s troops have won by more than one goal on nine occasions across all competitions this term. As such, we’re happy to put some money on Celtic to win this final with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 8/11.

20th Dec 2020

16:30 - Manchester United v Leeds

Manchester United Win & BTTS @ 15/8

Two famous English clubs finally meet in the Premier League once again this Sunday, as Manchester United welcome Leeds United to Old Trafford. The Red Devils have responded well after a slow start, winning five and drawing one of their past six matches in the league. Leeds had a big win over Newcastle United last time out, but this will be a tough test for Marcelo Bielsa’s boys.

Man United’s 3-2 win at Sheffield United in midweek lifted them up to sixth place in the table. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have been faultless on the road, winning six out of six, but the Manchester giants have picked up just one home league win so far. Leeds have already won three times on the road, but the hosts are due a home win. There is good value in the Man United win and both teams to score at odds of 15/8.

20th Dec 2020

19:15 - West Brom v Aston Villa

Aston Villa to Win to Nil @ 13/5

West Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa do battle at The Hawthorns in the Premier League on Sunday night. Despite an excellent point at Manchester City last time out, the Baggies parted company with Slaven Bilic and replaced him with journeyman Sam Allardyce. With Big Sam have an immediate positive effect at his latest club? Villa, who are 12 points above Albion, are the favourites in this one, but it’s not an easy one to call.

West Brom have found Premier League life tough going so far and have picked up just one league win, drawing four and losing eight of their other 12 games. In contrast, Aston Villa have already won six times in the Premier League this term, seeing off the likes of Liverpool, Leicester City, Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers along the way. Five of their six league wins have come with clean sheets and despite the arrival of Allardyce, we’re backing the visitors to win to nil at odds of 13/5.

21st Dec 2020

17:30 - Burnley v Wolves

1-1 Draw @ 11/2

On Monday night, Sean Dyche’s Burnley and Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolverhampton Wanderers do battle at Turf Moor in the Premier League. The Clarets made a woeful start to the current campaign, but Dyche’s boys are beginning to find their feet and have lost just one of their last six matches. Wolves, meanwhile, have had a mixed bag of results in recent weeks, winning two and losing two of their last four games.

After disappointing back-to-back defeats to Liverpool and Aston Villa, Wanderers bounced back with an impressive 2-1 win over Frank Lampard’s Chelsea at Molineux last time out. Burnley held Aston Villa to a 0-0 draw at Villa Park on Thursday, which was their third stalemate in six Premier League matches. We fancy these two will play out a draw at Turf Moor on Monday and we’ll be putting a few quid on the 1-1 draw at a decent price of 11/2.

21st Dec 2020

20:00 - Chelsea v West Ham

Draw & BTTS @ 5/1

The final Premier League game before Christmas Day is a cracking London derby between Chelsea and West Ham United at Stamford Bridge on Monday night. After back-to-back league defeats for the first time in almost a year, Frank Lampard’s Blues will be desperate to get back to winning ways. However, the Hammers head to the Bridge having won four of their previous six.

It is never a dull affair when Chelsea and West Ham meet, and we are expecting more fireworks between the London rivals on Monday. The Irons have surprised many with their superb start to the season, and David Moyes’ men will fancy their chances of returning to the London Stadium with a point. Check out the tempting price of 5/1 for the draw and both teams to score in this one.

22nd Dec 2020

17:30 - Brentford v Newcastle United

Brentford Win @ 13/10

EFL Championship side Brentford welcome Premier League outfit Newcastle United to the Brentford Community Stadium this Tuesday for their EFL Cup quarter-final. The Bees are on an incredible unbeaten run at present and have won six and drawn seven of their last 13 league and cup matches. The Championship team are the favourites in this one but the top flight side are clearly going to be up for this one so it’s not an easy match to call.

After edging past Wycombe Wanderers in round one, Brentford have beaten three Premier League sides to reach the last eight of the competition. Before easing to victory over rivals Fulham in the previous round, Thomas Frank’s men saw off Southampton and West Bromwich Albion. Steve Bruce’s Newcastle may be a league higher, but the Bees will fancy their chances on home turf. We are backing the Londoners to stretch their unbeaten run by seeing off United on Tuesday night. Have a punt on the hosts to prevail at a decent price of 13/10.

22nd Dec 2020

20:00 - Arsenal v Manchester City

Manchester City to Win -1 @ 7/5

Arsenal and Manchester City square off in an all-Premier League EFL Cup quarter-final at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday. The Gunners can forget about their Premier League woes and try and book their place in the last four of the cup. However, they are coming up against a Man City side who have won five of the last seven League Cup finals.

Arsenal have been dreadful in the league this term, but Mikel Arteta’s men have shone in the cup competitions. So far, the London side have won all nine of their cup matches this term, including six out of six in the UEFA Europa League. Still, City will back themselves to get the job done against the sorry Gunners at the Emirates on Tuesday. Check out the odds of 7/5 for the away side to win with a -1 goal handicap on Tuesday.

23rd Dec 2020

17:30 - Stoke City v Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur HT/FT @ 13/10

Jose Mourinho takes his Tottenham Hotspur troops to the bet365 Stadium in midweek to face Michael O’Neill’s Stoke City in the last eight of the Carabao Cup. After back-to-back defeats in the Premier League, Spurs will be desperate to bounce back with a win in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night. The home side will make it as tough as possible, but Tottenham are the clear favourites to progress to the semis.

Stoke are sitting pretty in seventh spot in the EFL Championship at present, having won nine of their opening 20 matches. Spurs have slipped away from the top of the Premier League table after two damaging defeats in the last week. Nevertheless, the north London side have an excellent recent record over the Potters, and Mourinho’s men should ease past the Championship opponents on Wednesday. There is good value in Spurs to be winning at half time and full time at odds of 13/10.

23rd Dec 2020

20:00 - Everton v Manchester United

Manchester United to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

Arguably, the standout EFL Cup quarter-final of the week takes place at Goodison Park, as Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton entertain Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United. The Toffees are back in form, winning each of their last three games in the Premier League to move back into the UEFA Champions League places. As for United, they are above Everton on goal difference. Which way will this fascinating cup fixture go on Wednesday?

Everton cruised past Salford City and Fleetwood Town in opening rounds before thumping fellow Premier League side West Ham United 4-1 in the previous round. United have beaten both Luton Town and Brighton and Hove Albion 3-0 away from home to reach the last eight. This all-Premier League cup affair could go either way, but we fancy in-form Man United to nick it. Back the visitors to win by one goal at odds of 3/1.

26th Dec 2020

12:30 - Leicester City v Manchester United

Draw & BTTS @ 10/3

Two in-form teams clash in Premier League action at the King Power Stadium on Boxing Day, as Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City entertain Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United. After a stunning 2-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, the Foxes fired themselves into second place, a great position for them to be in at Christmas, even if we have played fewer games than in a normal campaign. United are just a point and a position behind in third, so this is a genuine top of the table clash and it promises to be a Christmas cracker in the East Midlands.

Leicester are in good form, winning four of their last five league and cup fixtures. United are also in fine fettle, with Ole’s boys taking an impressive 19 points from the last 21 on offer, although they did exit the Champions League. This one could go either way at the King Power Stadium, so our money is going on the score draw. The draw and both teams to score is priced at 10/3 and that is a big price between two well-matched, counter-attacking sides.

26th Dec 2020

15:00 - Fulham v Southampton

Fulham Win @ 21/10

Fulham and Southampton meet in an intriguing Premier League fixture at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon. Scott Parker’s Cottagers are starting to find their feet in the top tier, drawing each of their last three to slowly but surely climb the table. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s boys were beaten by Manchester City last time out, but the Saints are riding high in sixth and impressing whenever they play. This could go either way at the Cottage and another tight game is predicted.

Fulham head into this Boxing Day clash having lost just one of their last five in the Premier League. In recent weeks, they have won at Leicester City, and drawn with the likes of Liverpool, Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United. Southampton have made a stunning start, but we fancy Fulham to continue their good form by securing a massive three points at home this Saturday. The home win is available at 21/10 and that is solid value.

26th Dec 2020

17:30 - Arsenal v Chelsea

Chelsea to Win to Nil @ 12/5

We have a mouth-watering London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea to look forward to on Boxing Day. The Gunners have not won a Premier League game at the Emirates Stadium since beating Sheffield United 2-1 back on October 4th. As for the Blues, they have lost their last two away from home in the league but secured a good win last time out. Both teams will be desperate for the points in this one but they have enjoyed very different starts to this strange campaign.

Arsenal have had a dreadful season so far, collecting a mere 14 points from 14 games. The Gunners have picked up just four wins and suffered eight defeats, languishing in 15th place as a result. In contrast, Frank Lampard’s men are up in fifth. They bounced back from recent defeats with an easy 3-0 home win over London rivals West Ham United on Monday, with Tammy Abraham helping himself to a brace. Back the Blues to win to nil (12/5) again on Saturday against a really poor attacking unit.

26th Dec 2020

19:45 - Watford v Norwich City

Norwich City Win & BTTS @ 5/1

The standout matchup in the EFL Championship on Boxing Day sees promotion rivals Watford and Norwich City lock horns at Vicarage Road in the evening. The Canaries lead the way in the second tier, five points clear of Bournemouth, who sit second. All three relegated clubs have started well, but Norwich have been the best team in the division up until now.

Watford slipped down to fifth after last weekend’s results. Vladimir Ivic’s team crashed to a disappointing 2-0 loss at Huddersfield Town, which was their first away defeat since October. Daniel Farke’s Norwich have won five out of five since losing at Luton Town earlier in the month. We can see the in-form Canaries edging a thriller at Vicarage Road on Saturday. Back the away win and both teams to score at 5/1.

26th Dec 2020

20:00 - Manchester City v Newcastle United

Manchester City to Win to Nil @ 8/11

In the evening on Boxing Day, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City welcome Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United to the Etihad Stadium for a Premier League fixture. Man City have had a disappointing season so far, but the Citizens are the overwhelming favourites to see off the Magpies on Saturday. Will the home team secure an easy victory?

Despite their iffy start, Man City go into this one having lost just once in the Premier League since September. Since the November defeat at Tottenham Hotspur, the Manchester giants have struck back with three wins and two draws from five. Those three victories have all come with clean sheets, and we fancy Pep’s boys to win without conceding against Newcastle on Boxing Day. You can get 8/11 for the home side to win to nil.

26th Dec 2020

20:00 - Sheffield United v Everton

Everton to Win -1 @ 2/1

Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United are in desperate need of a victory. The rock-bottom Blades head into the Boxing Day match with Everton having failed to win any of their opening 14 games. They are in danger of setting some very unwanted top flight records if they do not improve soon. However, they did pick up their second point of the season with a battling draw at Brighton & Hove Albion last time out. Can Sheffield United cause an upset on their own patch this Saturday?

Wilder’s troops, who finished above Everton in ninth last term, have made an abysmal start to this season. The Blades have taken a mere two points from an available 42. United are already eight points adrift of safety as we quickly approach the halfway point. The Toffees began this season with seven straight wins in all competitions before a poor spell followed. However, Everton’s results have picked up of late, with the Blues winning each of their last three in the Premier League. Have a punt on Carlo Ancelotti’s men to win -1 on Saturday at nice odds of 2/1.

27th Dec 2020

12:00 - Leeds v Burnley

0-0 Draw @ 14/1

Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United and Sean Dyche’s Burnley meet at Elland Road in Premier League action on Sunday afternoon. After last weekend’s humiliating loss at Old Trafford, United will want to get back to winning ways on home soil. However, the Clarets are starting to find form, winning two and drawing two of their last four.

Leeds have had a mixed bag of results since returning to the Premier League. However, after three defeats in four, United could certainly do with all three points at Elland Road on Sunday. As we mentioned, Burnley have shown a big improvement in recent weeks, and we fancy Dyche’s boys to leave Yorkshire with a point. Three of the Clarets’ four league draws have ended goalless, whilst Leeds are sure to tighten up after their 6-2 mauling last time out. With that in mind, take a punt on the 0-0 draw in this one at the massive odds of 14/1, great value given Leeds tend to mix up very high scoring games with very low ones.

27th Dec 2020

14:15 - West Ham v Brighton

West Ham United HT/FT @ 3/1

David Moyes’ West Ham United and Graham Potter’s Brighton & Hove Albion go head-to-head at the London Stadium in a Premier League fixture this Sunday. After Monday’s disappointing 3-0 defeat at rivals Chelsea, the Hammers will be hoping to get back to winning ways at the first time of asking. So far, West Ham have won six of their opening 14 matches and will be reasonably happy, sitting 10th in the table at the time of asking.

Moyes’ men have been in fine fettle of late, winning four of their last seven in the Premier League. The Londoners have lost just once at home since September, while Brighton have won only once in league action since a 3-0 victory at Newcastle United on September 20th. In truth, West Ham should be too strong for the Seagulls at the London stadium. Put some money on the hosts to be winning at half time and full time at the juicy price of 3/1.

27th Dec 2020

16:30 - Liverpool v West Brom

Liverpool to Win Both Halves @ 10/11

Premier League leaders Liverpool welcome West Bromwich Albion to Anfield on Sunday. The Reds, who won 7-0 at Selhurst Park in their last outing, have won all seven of their league matches at Anfield this term and are virtually unstoppable on home soil. West Brom have the second worst away record in England’s top flight, drawing two and losing five of seven. This should be a stroll in the park for the champions.

Liverpool have not put a foot wrong at home, winning seven out of seven in the league at Anfield, scoring 20 goals to boot. Sam Allardyce got off to a losing start last weekend, with the Baggies crashing to a poor 3-0 home reverse to Midlands rivals Aston Villa, where they managed just a single shot in the whole match. Liverpool should cruise to victory on home soil this Sunday. Take a punt on the Reds to win both halves (10/11).

27th Dec 2020

19:15 - Wolves v Tottenham

Draw @ 11/5

The final Premier League fixture of the round sees Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolverhampton Wanderers and Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur clash at Molineux on Sunday night. Wolves find themselves in 11th spot at present, picking up 20 points from 14 games. As for Spurs, they have slipped down to fifth after back-to-back defeats to Liverpool and Leicester City.

Wanderers have made a steady start, winning six, losing six and drawing two so far. However, Nuno’s men have lost three of their past four, losing 2-1 to Burnley at Turf Moor last time out. Tottenham have had a disastrous week, being beaten 2-1 at Anfield before a disappointing 2-0 home defeat to Leicester. Mourinho’s troops are now six points behind leaders Liverpool. These two are well matched and given both like to sit back, we can see Wolves and Spurs playing out a draw (11/5) at Molineux on Sunday night.

28th Dec 2020

15:00 - Crystal Palace v Leicester City

Leicester City to Win -1 @ 5/2

On Monday afternoon, Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace and Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City lock horns in an intriguing Premier League fixture at Selhurst Park. After losing twice and conceding 10 goals in their last two games, the Eagles will be desperate to avoid a third successive defeat. However, the in-form Foxes are the favourites to get the win in south London as they continue challenging the main players towards the top of the table.

Crystal Palace have found things tough going of late, and have won just one of their last seven games. After a 7-0 home loss to Liverpool, the Londoners were easily beaten at Aston Villa last time out. Leicester drew in the league for the first time this season last weekend, coming from behind twice to draw 2-2 with Manchester United. We fancy Leicester to get back to winning ways on Monday though and we’ll be taking a punt on the away side to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 5/2.

28th Dec 2020

17:30 - Chelsea v Aston Villa

Chelsea Win & BTTS @ 2/1

Frank Lampard will be looking for a response from his players when they welcome Aston Villa to Stamford Bridge in Premier League action on Monday. After last weekend’s poor defeat to London rivals Arsenal, will the Blues return to winning ways on their own patch? In-form Villa will not be an easy nut to crack for Lampard’s men, but we fancy the Blues should just about have the edge.

Chelsea made a strong start to their Premier League season, but the London team head into this one having lost three of their last four matches in the top flight. Aston Villa, who have been the surprise package so far this term, chalked up yet another impressive win last time out, beating Crystal Palace 3-0 on Boxing Day. The Villans will play their part at the Bridge, but Chelsea’s qualities should shine through. Put some money on the home side to win and both teams to score at odds of 2/1.

28th Dec 2020

20:00 - Everton v Manchester City

Draw @ 15/4

Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City meet at Goodison Park on Monday night in the Premier League in what some would describe as a clash between two title contenders. As you would expect, the Citizens are the clear favourites in this one, with the bookies pricing the away win at just 9/20. However, the Toffees are a team in fine fettle, winning each of their last four in the Premier League. In fact it is Everton who are putting up a better challenge for the title as things stand… though it is still early days in the context of the whole season.

After victories over Chelsea, Leicester City and Arsenal, Everton battled to a 1-0 win at Sheffield United on Saturday night, which was their fifth win in seven games in the league. Man City also won on Boxing Day, easing to a 2-0 home victory over Newcastle United. This is a tough one to call between two in-form teams, so we are backing the draw at the tempting odds of 15/4.

30th Dec 2020

17:30 - Brentford v Bournemouth

Brentford to Win 1-0 @ 7/1

Thomas Frank’s Brentford and Jason Tindall’s Bournemouth go head-to-head in a mouth-watering EFL Championship fixture at the Brentford Community Stadium on Wednesday evening. These two teams will no doubt be there of thereabouts in the race for automatic promotion to the Premier League come the end of the season, with both sides sitting on 38 points ahead of this crucial Championship clash.

Brentford beat Cardiff City 3-2 in South Wales on Boxing Day, which was their third league win in a row. The three points in the Welsh capital extended their incredible unbeaten run in the Championship to 14 (seven wins, seven draws). Bournemouth are unbeaten in five, but we fancy the Bees to edge a close encounter on their own patch. Check out the 1-0 home win at the tempting price of 7/1.

29th Dec 2020

18:00 - Brighton v Arsenal

Arsenal Win @ 5/4

Graham Potter’s Brighton and Hove Albion welcome Arsenal to the Amex Stadium on Tuesday evening with both sides having struggled this season. The Seagulls have picked up just two Premier League victories all season, while the Gunners’ triumph over Chelsea last time out was their first league win since 1st November. The London side head to East Sussex as the bookies’ favourites but can they live up to that billing?

Since slipping to back-to-back defeats at the beginning of December, Albion have drawn their last three matches in the league. Last weekend, Potter’s side let the lead slip twice to draw 2-2 with West Ham United at the London Stadium. Arsenal secured a much-needed home win over London rivals Chelsea on Boxing Day, which was their first home league success in six, and that is sure to have boosted the confidence in the camp. Can Mikel Arteta’s men follow that up with a vital away victory on Tuesday? Arsenal are available at the decent price of 5/4 to leave with all three points and that looks a good option to us.

29th Dec 2020

18:00 - Burnley v Sheffield United

Draw @ 21/10

Bottom club Sheffield United make the trip to Turf Moor to face Burnley in Premier League action on Tuesday evening with both sides getting increasingly desperate to put a decent run of results together. The Blades have failed to win any of their opening 15 league matches, losing 13 and drawing two. As for the Clarets, they hover just above the drop zone with 13 points to their name. This is a vital Premier League fixture in Lancashire but which side will prevail?

Burnley’s four-game unbeaten run came to an end last weekend. Despite a brave effort at Elland Road, Sean Dyche’s side fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Leeds United. Sheffield United also lost 1-0 last time out, with a Gylfi Sigurdsson goal giving in-form Everton all three points at Bramall Lane. Both teams will be desperate for maximum points from this one, but our money is going on the draw at odds of 21/10.

29th Dec 2020

18:00 - West Brom v Leeds United

Leeds United to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

After leaving Liverpool with a point at the weekend, West Bromwich Albion will be pulling out all the stop to get themselves a Premier League win when they take on Leeds United at The Hawthorns on Tuesday. These two sides were promoted together from the EFL Championship last season but Leeds have performed better than the Baggies thus far. This could go either way, but Marcelo Bielsa’s boys are the favourites to get the three points.

West Brom, who are now managed by the experienced Sam Allardyce, have found it tough going so far, winning just one of their opening 15 Premier League matches. In contrast, Leeds have already picked up six league victories. After the weekend’s win over Burnley, we fancy United to secure another narrow victory on Tuesday. Take a punt on the away team to win by one goal, which is nicely priced at odds of 3/1.

29th Dec 2020

20:00 - Manchester United v Wolves

Manchester United Win & BTTS @ 13/5

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United and Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolverhampton Wanderers meet in a tasty-looking Premier League fixture at Old Trafford on Tuesday. The Red Devils are one of the form teams in the Premier League at present, while Wolves are capable of beating anyone on their day. Who will come out on top at the Theatre of Dreams in midweek?

Boxing Day’s 2-2 draw at Leicester City extended Man United’s unbeaten run in the Premier League to eight matches. Since a 1-0 home loss to Arsenal, United have won six and drawn two games and they have put themselves in a strong position to challenge for the title. After three defeats in four, Wolves held high flying Tottenham Hotspur to a 1-1 draw at Molineux on Sunday. However, we fancy the hosts to nick this one. Take a punt on the Man United win and both teams to score at very fair odds of 13/5.

29th Dec 2020

20:00 - Stoke City v Nottingham Forest

Stoke City to Win -1 @ 15/4

Stoke City and Nottingham Forest lock horns in EFL Championship action at the bet365 Stadium on Tuesday night. The Potters are sitting pretty in seventh place as we approach the midway point of the campaign, while Forest are languishing down in 20th position in the table. As expected, Michael O’Neill’s Stoke City are the clear favourites to take all three points from this Championship clash.

Stoke are flying high, but the Potters have won just one of their last six matches in all competitions. On Boxing Day, O’Neill’s boys were held to a 0-0 draw by Coventry City at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium. As for Nottingham Forest, they have won just once since early November. We fancy Stoke to get back to winning ways with a comfortable three points on their own patch this Tuesday. As such, we’ll be putting some money on the hosts to win with a -1 goal handicap at 15/4.

30th Dec 2020

18:00 - Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham

Tottenham Hotspur to Win Both Halves @ 3/1

Match postponed.

London duo Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham go head-to-head in the Premier League at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday evening. After no wins in four games in the league, Spurs will be desperate for all three points from this one. However, the Cottagers will be no pushovers, as last season’s EFL Championship play-off winners have drawn their last four games and are very tough to beat at present.

After a 2-0 win over Manchester City on 21st November, Tottenham were sitting pretty at the top of the table and in high spirits. However, they have gone on to win just one of their following six matches in the Premier League. Since beating rivals Arsenal, Spurs have taken two points from a possible 12, which has come as a massive disappointment to Jose Mourinho and Spurs fans alike. Fulham are unbeaten in four but we are confident Spurs will get back to winning ways with relative ease on Wednesday. We like the look of the home team to win both halves at a decent price of 3/1.

30th Dec 2020

20:00 - Newcastle United v Liverpool

Liverpool Win & BTTS @ 13/8

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will be looking to end a memorable 2020 on a high when they take on Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Wednesday night. The Reds have an excellent recent record in this fixture, winning the last five. The Premier League champions are odds-on to secure another league victory over the Magpies on Wednesday night.

Liverpool will still be gutted after letting two points slip at home to West Bromwich Albion last Sunday. Nevertheless, they remain top of the league table as we quickly approach the halfway point of the 2020-21 season. Klopp’s boys beat Newcastle 3-1 both home and away last season, and we fancy a similar scoreline in this one. You can get the decent price of 13/8 for the away team to win and both teams to score.

30th Dec 2020

20:00 - Swansea City v Reading

Swansea City to Win to Nil @ 11/5

Steve Cooper keeps on improving his superb Swansea City side. The Swans’ 2-0 victory at Queens Park Rangers on Boxing Day lifted them into second place in the EFL Championship, just four points behind leaders Norwich City. On Wednesday night, Swansea will be looking for their 12th Championship win of the season when they entertain Veljko Paunovic’s Reading at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea have been in good form of late, winning four of their last six. They are particularly strong at the Liberty, winning six and drawing two of eight since a shock 2-1 home loss to Huddersfield Town in October. Reading are currently in sixth, but the Royals have had a mixed bag of results this season. We fancy the Swans to seal another three points on Wednesday. Back Cooper’s boys to win to nil for an 11th time this term at odds of 11/5.

1st Jan 2021

17:30 - Everton v West Ham

Everton Win @ 10/11

Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton are back in action on New Year’s Day, as the Toffees welcome David Moyes’ West Ham United to Goodison Park in the Premier League. The Merseysiders are in fine fettle at present, winning each of their last four in the league. Their last game (against Man City) was postponed, so they should be well-rested ahead of this one. Can Everton make it five in a row with three points against the Hammers on Friday?

Since a shock 1-0 home loss to Leeds United in November, Ancelotti’s men have hit back well by taking 13 points from a possible 15 on offer. As a result, Everton have fired themselves back towards the top of the division and might even be considered early title contenders. West Ham have had a fine season so far, but the London side have failed to win in four games (three draws, one defeat). Unfortunately for Moyes’ men, we think it will be the home side celebrating at the final whistle. Our money is going on the Everton win here at a decent price of 10/11.

1st Jan 2021

17:30 - Sheffield Wednesday v Derby

Derby County to Win to Nil @ 11/4

On Friday night at Hillsborough, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County go head-to-head in a big EFL Championship match between two sides who are currently at the wrong end of the table. The Owls are in 22nd place at present, three points behind Derby County, who have moved up to 20th after some positive recent results. Both teams picked up vital victories last time out, but who will come out on top in Sheffield on New Year’s Day?

Wednesday are looking for a new manager again after the sacking of Tony Pulis, while Wayne Rooney is doing a fine job as interim boss of Derby. On Tuesday evening, goals from Krystian Bielik, Graeme Shinnie, Colin Kazim-Richards and Jason Knight gave the Rams a resounding 4-0 win against Birmingham City at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium. You can get the solid odds of 11/4 for County to win to nil again on Friday.

1st Jan 2021

20:00 - Manchester United v Aston Villa

Manchester United HT/FT @ 7/4

In-form Manchester United take on Aston Villa at Old Trafford in the Premier League on New Year’s Day. United’s last-gasp win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out lifted them up to second place in the table. Villa are also in good form, with Dean Smith’s men racking up an impressive 26 points from their 14 matches so far this season. Can the Villans cause an upset in Manchester or will United continue their fine run of results?

Since a 1-0 home loss to Arsenal, Man United have hit back in style, going on to win seven and draw two of their following nine matches in the Premier League. Aston Villa head to Old Trafford having won three and drawn two of their past five games, but the Red Devils should be too strong for their opponents on Friday. Check out the solid odds of 7/4 for United to be winning at half time and full time in this one.

2nd Jan 2021

12:30 - Tottenham v Leeds

Draw @ 16/5

Tottenham Hotspur welcome Leeds United to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Premier League action on Saturday afternoon as both sides look to start the New Year with a positive result. These two famous English clubs have not met in the top flight since January 2004 and it promises to be quite a match. After recent results, Spurs have slipped out of the top four, while United are sitting pretty in 11th position in the table as things stand.

Tottenham made a stunning start to their Premier League campaign, but Jose Mourinho’s men have failed to win any of their last four games having gone off the boil somewhat. Since beating rivals Arsenal a month back, the Lilywhites have taken just two points from a possible 12. Leeds have had a fine first season back in the Premier League up until now and they’ll be looking to kick on in the coming weeks. Last time out, Marcelo Bielsa’s boys thumped West Bromwich Albion 5-0 at The Hawthorns and they looked good value for it. We fancy in-form Leeds to hold Tottenham to a draw in this one, an outcome that can be backed at odds of 16/5.

2nd Jan 2021

15:00 - Crystal Palace v Sheffield United

Crystal Palace to Win -1 Goal @ 13/5

The Premier League’s bottom club Sheffield United make the trip to Selhurst Park to play Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon. Tuesday’s narrow loss at Burnley was the Blades’ 14th defeat in 16 league matches this term. Having taken just two points from a possible 48, United look nailed on for a return to the EFL Championship, but can they somehow begin an unlikely escape in 2021?

Crystal Palace have had a mixed bag of results so far this term, winning five, drawing four and losing seven of their games thus far. Since winning 5-1 at West Bromwich Albion on 6th December, the Eagles have drawn three and lost two of their subsequent five matches. Nevertheless, the London side should ease past the league’s bottom team on Saturday. Three of Palace’s five league wins have been by more than one goal and we’ll be backing the hosts to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 13/5.

2nd Jan 2021

17:30 - Brighton v Wolves

Wolverhampton Wanderers Win & BTTS @ 11/2

After losing four of their last six in the Premier League, Wolverhampton Wanderers will be desperate to get back to winning ways. This Saturday, Nuno Espirito Santo takes his side to the Amex Stadium to play Graham Potter’s Brighton and Hove Albion. The Seagulls hover just above the drop zone, while Wolves occupy 12th place in the table at present.

Brighton have had a tough season so far, winning just two of their opening 16 Premier League games. Wolves’ campaign has also yet to really take off, with the West Midlands outfit losing more games than they have won. Still, Wanderers will be eyeing up all three points from this one after a poor run of results. We like the look of the away win and both teams to score here, which is available at a decent price of 11/2.

2nd Jan 2021

19:45 - Stoke City v Bournemouth

Draw @ 12/5

Michael O’Neill’s Stoke City and Jason Tindall’s Bournemouth do battle at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday night in EFL Championship action. The Potters are unbeaten in five games, although four of those have ended all square. As for the Cherries, they have taken just one point from their last two games, losing 2-1 at fellow promotion hopefuls Brentford on Wednesday night. Who will prevail at the Potteries this weekend?

Stoke have been a tough team to beat in recent months. In fact, since a 3-2 loss to leaders Norwich City in November, only Cardiff City have beaten them in the Championship. Bournemouth will still be hurting from Wednesday’s narrow defeat at the Brentford Community Stadium, but we can see Tindall’s troops dropping more points on Saturday. The draw looks a good bet in this one at odds of 12/5.

2nd Jan 2021

20:00 - West Brom v Arsenal

Arsenal to Win to Nil @ 15/8

On Saturday night at The Hawthorns, West Bromwich Albion and Arsenal lock horns in a Premier League fixture that both sides will feel they should win. Sam Allardyce’s Baggies will be hoping to restore some pride after a humiliating 5-0 home loss to Leeds United last time out. As for the visitors, they will be gunning for a third straight victory. Arsenal are the clear favourites in this one despite some very hit and miss performances this term.

Despite picking up an excellent 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield, West Brom have suffered two heavy home defeats under Allardyce. Before the 5-0 loss to Leeds, Big Sam’s first game ended in a 3-0 reversal to Aston Villa. Arsenal have turned a corner after back-to-back wins over Chelsea and Brighton and Hove Albion. We fancy Mikel Arteta’s men to keep a clean sheet and take home all three points this weekend. You can get the away side to win to nil at odds of 15/8.

3rd Jan 2021

12:00 - Burnley v Fulham

Burnley to Win by One Goal @ 11/4

Sean Dyche’s Burnley and Scott Parker’s Fulham square off in a crucial Premier League fixture at Turf Moor this Sunday. At the time of writing, the Clarets are in 16th place with just 16 points to their name, while the Cottagers are in 18th on 11 points; this match truly is a relegation six-pointer. Fulham are unbeaten in four games (all draws), but Burnley are the favourites to get the victory.

It has been a tough season for Burnley, although Dyche’s men are beginning to get things right. The Lancashire team are undefeated in their last four games at Turf Moor, winning three and drawing one. Fulham have been hard to beat lately, but Burnley will fancy their chances of making home advantage count in this one. All their league wins have been by a single goal and you can get odds of 11/4 for the home team to win by one goal again on Sunday.

3rd Jan 2021

14:15 - Newcastle v Leicester

Leicester City Win @ 8/13

Brendan Rodgers’ in-form Leicester City make the trip to St James’ Park to take on Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon. The Magpies held champions Liverpool to a goalless draw on Wednesday but United have not won in five league and cup fixtures. Will the Foxes leave Newcastle with all three points on Sunday and keep their title challenge alive?

Since back-to-back wins over Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion, United have taken just two points from their following four matches. Leicester, who have drawn their last two, have won six of their last 11 games in the league. After drawing with Manchester United and Crystal Palace, City will be looking for all three points at St James’. So far, Leicester have won seven of their 11 away games across all competitions. We think Leicester will have too much for Newcastle to contain so we’re backing the visitors to come out on top at a price of 8/13.

3rd Jan 2021

16:30 - Chelsea v Manchester City

Manchester City to Win to Nil @ 15/4

English heavyweights Chelsea and Manchester City lock horns in a mouth-watering Premier League match at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon. After three defeats in five games, Frank Lampard’s men will be hoping to kick off 2021 with a positive result. However, Pep Guardiola’s City head to the capital in fine form, unbeaten in the league since 21st November.

Chelsea made a solid start to the current campaign, though Lampard’s boys have hit a rough patch of form of late. The Londoners have taken just four points from the last 15 on offer. Man City have won three league and cup games in a row and have kept clean sheets in each of their last six Premier League victories. We can see the Manchester giants edging this one in west London. Put a few quid on City to win to nil at a fair price of 15/4.
