Football Tips – November 2020

3rd Nov 2020

19:45 - Blackburn Rovers v Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough Win & BTTS @ 11/2

Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn Rovers entertain Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough at Ewood Park on Tuesday night in EFL Championship action. Rovers are in 14th place in the table after an indifferent start to the campaign, while Boro are riding high in fifth spot. Middlesbrough are unbeaten in eight games since losing at Watford on the opening weekend of the season. Will Warnock’s men extend that run with a positive result on the road in midweek?

Blackburn have been in poor form of late, losing four of their past five matches. In contrast, Middlesbrough have been superb in recent games, winning four and drawing two of their previous six in the Championship. After two home wins, can Boro pick up all three points on the road in midweek? We like the look of the visitors to win and both teams to score in what should be an open game. As such, we’ll be backing that outcome at odds of 11/2.

3rd Nov 2020

19:45 - Cardiff City v Barnsley

1-1 Draw @ 11/2

Neil Harris’s Cardiff City entertain Valerien Ismael’s Barnsley at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday night in EFL Championship action. Having picked up just two league wins thus far, the Bluebirds could really do with maximum points on home soil in midweek. However, City have yet to win at home this season. This promises to be an intriguing Championship battle in South Wales, and one which could go either way.

On the whole, Cardiff have been poor up until now, winning two, drawing four and losing three of their nine league matches. The Tykes have an identical record, but they have won their last two under new boss Ismael. Last time out, Barnsley shocked Watford with a 1-0 win at Oakwell. We can see the Yorkshire side leaving South Wales with a point on Tuesday. Cardiff’s last two games at home have ended 1-1, and we’re backing the 1-1 draw again in this one at a tempting price of 11/2.

3rd Nov 2020

20:00 - Manchester City v Olympiakos

Manchester City to Win to Nil @ 11/10

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City welcome Pedro Martins’ Olympiakos to the Etihad Stadium this Tuesday in a UEFA Champions League Group C fixture. City are leading the way at the top of the group table, picking up six points out of six so far. In truth, the Premier League giants should be too strong for the Greek outfit in this one, but Pep will be taking nothing for granted in a season that has thrown up plenty of surprises thus far.

Man City came from behind to beat Porto at the Etihad in their opening Champions League game, which they followed up with an impressive 3-0 victory over Marseille at the Stade Velodrome in their last European outing. Olympiakos beat Marseille before losing 2-0 to Porto in Portugal last week. We fancy City to pick up all three points and keep a clean sheet on their own patch. You can get Man City to win to nil at odds of 11/10, which looks a fair price to us.

3rd Nov 2020

20:00 - Atalanta v Liverpool

Liverpool Win @ 11/10

Jurgen Klopp takes his Liverpool side to Italy on Tuesday night to play Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia in UEFA Champions League action. The Reds have not been at their blistering best this season, but Klopp’s boys will move on to nine points from a possible nine in Group D with victory in Bergamo in midweek. We think Liverpool will get the job done, but it might not be a walkover.

Atalanta, who had a memorable Champions League campaign last season, have taken four points from their opening two fixtures. After a thumping 4-0 win over Midtjylland in Denmark, the Italians drew 2-2 at home with Ajax in their second game. Liverpool, meanwhile, have beaten Ajax 1-0 and Midtjylland 2-0. We can see the Premier League champions moving on to nine points with an away win in Italy on Tuesday night at a decent price of 11/10.

4th Nov 2020

17:55 - Istanbul Basaksehir v Manchester Utd

Manchester United to Win -1 Goal @ Evens

Manchester United make the trip to Istanbul for a European fixture on Wednesday night. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s boys have been excellent in UEFA Champions League Group H so far, but can they get all three points against Okan Buruk’s Istanbul Basaksehir at the Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium on Wednesday night? The Red Devils head to Turkey as the strong favourites to get the win but many a side have stumbled in Turkey in this competition.

Basaksehir have found it tough going in Group H so far, losing both their matches without scoring a single goal. United may have lost to Arsenal at home in the Premier League on Sunday, but they thumped RB Leipzig 5-0 at Old Trafford in the Champions League last Wednesday. Prior to that, Ole’s boys beat Paris Saint-Germain in Paris, which was an exceptional result. We fancy Man United will get the job done here and we’re willing to back them to win with a -1 goal handicap in midweek, which is available at a price of evens.

4th Nov 2020

19:45 - Derby County v QPR

Draw & BTTS @ 10/3

At Pride Park on Wednesday night, Phillip Cocu’s Derby County host Mark Warburton’s Queens Park Rangers in the EFL Championship. The Rams have picked up just one win this term, but County go into this midweek fixture unbeaten in three (all draws). As for QPR, they secured a stunning 3-2 win over Cardiff City at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday.

Derby have been poor so far, losing five of their opening nine games. Having said that, Cocu’s men have been hard to beat in recent games. Last Saturday’s stalemate at Bournemouth was Derby’s third straight 1-1 draw. Before their dramatic win over Cardiff last time out, Rangers had not won since beating Nottingham Forest on the opening weekend of the season. QPR have drawn four times in the Championship this season, and we can see the London side leaving Pride Park with a point. Back the draw and both teams to score at odds of 10/3.

4th Nov 2020

20:00 - Chelsea v Rennes

Chelsea to Win to Nil @ 5/4

Chelsea are back in UEFA Champions League action in midweek, taking on French Ligue 1 side Rennes at Stamford Bridge in Group E. The Blues moved to the top of the group with a stunning 4-0 win at the Krasnodar Stadium last week. Will the Premier League outfit make it seven points from nine with victory over Julien Stephan’s side on Wednesday?

After a frustrating 0-0 home draw with Sevilla, Chelsea were outstanding in Russia last time out in Group E, walloping Krasnodar 4-0 thanks to goals from Callum Hudson-Odoi, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic. Rennes started with a 1-1 home draw with Krasnodar before losing 1-0 in Seville last week. Chelsea have kept two clean sheets so far and Lampard’s men should stop Rennes from scoring at the Bridge. The Blues are priced at odds 5/4 to win to nil, which looks a good bet to us.

5th Nov 2020

17:55 - Ludogorets Razgrad v Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur to Win -1 Goal @ 10/11

Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur travel to Bulgaria this week to take on Ludogorets Razgrad in a UEFA Europa League Group J fixture that the north London side could really do with winning. After defeat in Antwerp last Thursday, Spurs will be gunning for all three points at the Huvepharma Arena in Razgrad, but it might not be easy. Antwerp sit top of the group as things stand, with Tottenham and LASK joint second with three points each. Ludogorets are bottom having lost both matches so far, but they have the ability to raise their game on occasion.

Spurs kicked off their European campaign with an impressive 3-0 home victory over LASK. However, they were beaten 1-0 by Antwerp at Bosuilstadion last Thursday, leaving them on three points from a possible six. Tottenham are flying in the Premier League at present, and the London side should get back on track in Europe with a comfortable win on the road on Thursday. We’ll be backing the Lilywhites to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 10/11.

5th Nov 2020

17:55 - Benfica v Rangers

Rangers Win & BTTS @ 13/2

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are one of the form sides of European football at the moment. The Scottish Premiership giants have made a stunning start to their 2020-21 campaign, winning 16 and drawing two of their opening 18 league and cup matches. Can Rangers secure a 10th victory in a row when they take on Benfica at the Estadio da Luz in UEFA Europa League Group D action this Thursday?

The Glasgow giants have picked up six points thus far, beating Standard Liege 2-0 and Lech Poznan 1-0. Jorge Jesus’s Eagles have also won their opening two fixtures, scoring seven and shipping two. This will arguably be the Gers’ toughest challenge of the season yet, but we fancy Gerrard’s boys to get the three points in Lisbon. The away victory and both teams to score is available at a tempting price of 13/2.

5th Nov 2020

20:00 - Arsenal v Molde

Arsenal HT/FT @ 4/5

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal would take a giant leap towards the knockout stages of the UEFA Europa League with victory over Molde at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday. The Gunners and the Norwegian side have both picked up six points out of six in Group B so far. However, Arsenal head into this home match as the big favourites to get the win and take control of the group.

After edging past Rapid Vienna on matchday one, Arsenal were far too strong for Irish side Dundalk at the Emirates last week. Eddie Nketiah, Joe Willock and Nicolas Pepe scored in a routine 3-0 home win. The north Londoners, who won 1-0 at Old Trafford in the Premier League last Sunday, will fancy their chances against Molde this Thursday. Take a punt on Arsenal to be winning at half time and full time at a fair price of 4/5.

5th Nov 2020

20:00 - Leicester City v Braga

Leicester City to Win by One Goal @ 13/5

Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City welcome Carlos Carvalhal’s Braga to the King Power Stadium for a UEFA Europa League fixture on Thursday night. The Foxes are back in form having won each of their last four league and cup matches since back-to-back Premier League defeats. Last time out, Leicester thumped Leeds United 4-1 at Elland Road in the league. Will City make it five wins on the bounce in the week?

Leicester and Braga have both beaten Zorya Luhansk and AEK Athens to take six points from a possible six in Group G. These two sides will surely go through to the knockout stages, but who will finish top of the group? With this one taking place at the King Power, Leicester should have the slight edge. You can get the tempting price of 13/5 for Rodgers’ boys to win by one.

5th Nov 2020

20:00 - Celtic v Sparta Prague

Celtic to Win to Nil @ 8/5

Celtic and Sparta Prague meet at Celtic Park in UEFA Europa League action this Thursday. Having taken just one point from their opening two fixtures, Neil Lennon’s Bhoys really need all three points from this home fixture. AC Milan lead the way in Group H on six points, with Lille in second with four points to their name. Celtic have one point to their name thus far, while Prague have zero points from their two games.

The Scottish champions were 2-0 up at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy last Thursday, but they shipped two goals in the second half to leave Lille with a 2-2 draw. Sparta have already conceded seven goals in Group H, and Vaclav Kotal’s boys are likely to fall to a third Europa League defeat on Thursday. Celtic’s last five wins have come with clean sheets – back the Hoops to win to nil at odds of 8/5.

6th Nov 2020

17:30 - Brighton v Burnley

Brighton & Hove Albion Win @ 17/20

Graham Potter’s Brighton and Hove Albion and Sean Dyche’s Burnley meet in Premier League action at the Amex Stadium this Friday night evening. The Clarets find themselves rock bottom of the Premier League table at present, having lost five and drawn one of their opening six matches. Brighton have also struggled, meanwhile, with the Seagulls picking up one victory, drawing twice and losing four times. This is a huge game for both clubs and even at this early stage of the campaign it could be viewed as a relegation six-pointer.

Since an impressive 3-0 win at Newcastle United on matchday two, Brighton have taken just two points from the following five games. Burnley have struggled to get going, with their sole point coming in a 0-0 draw with West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns. Neither side are playing well, but we fancy Albion to nick the points on home soil. The Brighton victory is priced at decent enough odds of 17/20.

6th Nov 2020

18:00 - Cardiff City v Bristol City

Draw & BTTS @ 7/2

Severnside rivals Cardiff City and Bristol City lock horns at the Cardiff City Stadium in the EFL Championship on Friday evening. Both teams picked up much-needed wins in midweek, with the Bluebirds winning at home for the first time this season, while the Robins secured their first victory in six games. It is usually a spicy encounter when these two neighbours lock horns, but who will come out on top in this one?

Neil Harris’s Cardiff eased past Barnsley on home soil in midweek, which was their first home win since July. Before Bristol City’s 2-1 victory at the John Smith’s Stadium on Tuesday, Dean Holden’s Robins had lost three and drawn two of their last five games. Both fixtures last season ended in 1-0 wins for the away sides, and this will surely be another tight affair between the pair. With both sides capable of finding a breakthrough, we’re backing the draw and both teams to score at odds of 7/2.

6th Nov 2020

19:45 - Harrogate v Skelmersdale United

Harrogate United to Win to Nil @ 11/10

EFL League Two new boys Harrogate Town welcome North West Countries League outfit Skelmersdale United to Wetherby Road this Friday night in the first round of the 2020-21 Emirates FA Cup. Since four league and cup wins in a row, Town head into this cup clash having taken just one point from four league games. Can they get back to winning ways in the FA Cup?

Skelmersdale will certainly enjoy the occasion against the Football League club, but Harrogate will be looking for a comfortable home win in the cup on Friday night. The Sulphurites have picked up five wins across all competitions this season, with three of those coming with clean sheets. With that in mind, have a punt on the home team to win this one to nil at odds of 11/10.

6th Nov 2020

20:00 - Southampton v Newcastle

Southampton HF/FT @ 2/1

Southampton have made a superb start to their 2020-21 Premier League season, racking up an impressive 13 points from seven matches. After four wins and a draw from their last five, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Saints will be looking for another victory when Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United visit St Mary’s on Friday night. Will Southampton move on to 16 points and shoot up to the top of the table (albeit temporarily)?

Hasenhuttl’s side started the season with back-to-back defeats to Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur. However, the Saints have been scintillating since, seeing off Burnley, West Bromwich Albion, Everton and Aston Villa. The Magpies picked up an excellent win over the Toffees last time out, but we fancy in-form Southampton in this one. Take a look at the tempting odds of 2/1 for the home side to be winning at half time and full time on Friday night.

7th Nov 2020

12:30 - Everton v Manchester United

Draw & BTTS @ 10/3

Everton and Manchester United lock horns at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime. The Toffees have failed to win any of their last three since winning their opening seven league and cup matches of the season. As for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United, they have lost to Arsenal and Istanbul Basaksehir in their last two games and can’t find any level of consistency.

Everton’s dip in form has seen them drop from the top of the Premier League table down to fourth place. The Red Devils, meanwhile, have made a miserable start, losing three of their opening six games. Ahead of this round of fixtures, Man United are languishing in 15th place in the table with just seven points to their name. Both teams will be desperate for maximum points from this one, but we fancy the draw and both teams to score at Goodison at odds of 10/3.

7th Nov 2020

12:30 - Reading v Stoke City

Reading to Win by One Goal @ 10/3

EFL Championship leaders Reading entertain Stoke City at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Despite losing two in a row, the Royals remain top of the Championship table, three points clear of Swansea City in second. Can Veljko Paunovic’s men get back to winning ways on home soil at the weekend?

Reading started their season like a house on fire, winning seven and drawing one of their opening eight. However, it has been a disastrous week for the Berkshire club, who have lost to Coventry City and Preston North End. Michael O’Neill’s Potters conceded at the death to fall to a 3-2 defeat at Watford last time out, and we can see Stoke losing by a narrow margin again. Check out the decent odds of 10/3 for the home side to win by a one goal margin.

7th Nov 2020

17:30 - Chelsea v Sheffield United

Chelsea to Win to Nil @ 13/10

Frank Lampard’s Chelsea welcome Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United to Stamford Bridge in Premier League action this Saturday. The Blades are one of three clubs yet to taste victory, while the Blues are in seventh spot with 12 points to their name. United will be desperate for a positive result at the Bridge, but Wilder’s boys are the big underdogs in this one.

Since losing to Tottenham Hotspur on penalties in a Carabao Cup game back in September, Chelsea are undefeated in seven league and cup matches. After three draws, the London side have now won three in a row without conceding. In truth, Lampard’s boys should have no problems seeing off the lowly Blades in this one. Chelsea’s last five victories have come with clean sheets and we can see them achieving that feat again. Back the hosts to win to nil on Saturday at odds of 13/10.

7th Nov 2020

17:30 - FC United of Manchester v Doncaster

FC United of Manchester Win & BTTS @ 16/1

Neil Reynolds’ FC United of Manchester of the Northern Premier League welcome EFL League One side Doncaster Rovers to Broadhurst Park for an Emirates FA Cup first round fixture on Saturday evening. Darren Moore’s Donny are sitting pretty in ninth place in England’s third tier at present, but this will no doubt be a tricky cup tie in Manchester for the Yorkshire club.

Since moving into their new home in 2015, FC United have been a tough nut to crack on their own patch. The Manchester club have been beaten just once at home so far this season. Of course, League One Doncaster are the clear favourites, but we can see Reynolds’ boys causing a big FA Cup upset on Saturday. Back the home win and both teams to score at chunking odds of 16/1.

7th Nov 2020

20:00 - West Ham United v Fulham

West Ham United to Win -1 Goal @ 21/10

David Moyes’ West Ham United and Scott Parker’s Fulham clash in an all-London Premier League affair at the London Stadium on Saturday night. The Hammers have been in good form of late, with last weekend’s narrow loss at Liverpool being their first defeat in five games in the league. As for the Cottagers, last Monday’s victory over West Bromwich Albion was their first Premier League win of the season.

West Ham have had some tricky games of late, playing Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Liverpool in their last three, drawing two and losing one. The Irons have been excellent at home in recent fixtures, winning three and drawing one of their last four matches in all competitions. Fulham may have secured a rare victory last time out, but we are backing West Ham in this one. The home win with a -1 goal handicap is priced at odds of 21/10.

8th Nov 2020

12:00 - West Brom v Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur to Win -1 Goal @ 13/10

West Bromwich Albion and Tottenham Hotspur square off in Premier League action at The Hawthorns on Sunday. The Baggies are still searching for their first league win of the season, while Spurs are just two points behind leaders Liverpool, with some believing their front three could see them mount a title challenge. Tottenham head to the Midlands looking for a fifth victory in six league and cup matches.

After winning promotion from the EFL Championship, life back in the Premier League has been tough for West Brom so far. Slaven Bilic’s boys have drawn three and lost four of their opening seven, conceding 16 goals along the way. In contrast, Tottenham are unbeaten in six league games since losing to Everton on the opening weekend. We fancy Jose Mourinho’s men to secure a comfortable victory at The Hawthorns. Back the visitors to win -1 at 13/10.

8th Nov 2020

14:00 - Leicester v Wolves

Draw & BTTS @ 7/2

Midlands duo Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers lock horns in a fascinating Premier League fixture at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Foxes have made an excellent start, winning five of their opening seven to sit second behind leaders Liverpool. Wolves are just two points behind in sixth. Which way will this one go at the King Power?

Leicester have responded expertly well since back-to-back home defeats to West Ham United and Aston Villa, winning each of their last five in all competitions. Wanderers are also in fine fettle, collecting an impressive 10 points from the last 12 on offer in the Premier League. These two are hard to split on paper, and we can see the pair cancelling each other out in Leicester. Check out the draw and both teams to score at really big odds of 7/2.

8th Nov 2020

14:30 - Eastbourne Borough v Blackpool

Blackpool Win & BTTS @ 9/4

The magic of the Emirates FA Cup is back this weekend, and Eastbourne Borough of the National League South will be hoping for an upset when EFL League One Blackpool make the long trip south to Priory Lane in first round action on Sunday. Danny Bloor’s Eastbourne will relish the opportunity, but Neil Critchley’s men are the clear favourites to get the job done in East Sussex.

Borough have started their 2020-21 season in fine fettle, and they have already seen off Sheppey United and Dulwich Hamlet in the FA Cup so far. Blackpool have made an indifferent start to their League One campaign, winning four, losing six and drawing one. We fancy Eastbourne to give the Tangerines a really good game at Priory Lane, but our money is going on the away win. The Blackpool victory and both teams to score is nicely priced at 9/4.

8th Nov 2020

16:30 - Manchester City v Liverpool

Manchester City to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

Premier League heavyweights Manchester City and Liverpool do battle at the Etihad Stadium this Sunday. Jurgen Klopp’s men may be the Premier League champions and current league leaders, but Pep Guardiola’s City are the favourites in this one. These two have been involved in several thrilling matches in recent times, and Sunday’s showdown in Manchester promises to be another enthralling encounter.

After six games played, Man City find themselves down in 10th spot in the Premier League table, already five points behind Liverpool, who have played a game more. City cannot afford that gap to extend to eight as we head into the final international break of 2020. Neither side have been at their scintillating best this season, but the pair are in good form, despite both having major issues at the back. Home advantage could be the deciding factor in this one, whilst Pep’s men also have slightly fewer defensive concerns. Back Man City to win by one at nice odds of 3/1.

8th Nov 2020

19:15 - Arsenal v Aston Villa

Arsenal to Win Both Halves @ 7/2

On Sunday night in the Premier League, Mikel Arteta’s in-form Arsenal entertain Dean Smith’s Aston Villa, who head to the Emirates Stadium having lost their last two. The Gunners have won three league and cup games on the spin, winning 1-0 at Manchester United last Sunday. Arsenal should move on to 15 points with a routine home win this weekend.

The London side have had a mixed start to their Premier League campaign, winning four and losing three of seven. Aston Villa won their opening four league matches, though Smith’s men have lost 3-0 and 4-3 in their last two. We fancy the Gunners, who have netted eight goals in their previous three, to secure a comfortable home win. You can get 7/2 for the hosts to win both halves of this one and that price looks more than fair to us.

9th Nov 2020

19:45 - Oxford City v Northampton

Northampton Town HT/FT @ 13/8

Oxford City and Northampton Town go head-to-head at Marsh Lane on Monday night in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup. City currently ply their trade in the National League South, while the Cobblers were promoted to EFL League One via the EFL League Two play-offs last season. As you would expect, Keith Curle’s men are the big favourites with the bookies, but can Oxford City cause an upset on home soil?

The club from Marston have made a good start to their season, although they were beaten at home by Hampton & Richmond Borough last time out. Northampton have been steady at best in League One, taking 11 points from 11 games. Still, Town are unbeaten in two and should ease into round two of the FA Cup on Monday. There is a clear gulf in class and preparation between the two teams and so ultimately we predict a routine away win. Take a punt on the visitors to be winning at half time and full time at solid looking odds of 13/8.

12th Nov 2020

19:45 - Serbia v Scotland

Serbia Win & BTTS @ 7/2

Scotland travel to Serbia this Thursday for a UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying play-off. The Red Star Stadium in Belgrade is a tough place to visit, and Steve Clarke’s men are certainly the underdogs in this one. However, the Scots have improved of late, winning seven and drawing one of eight since losing 4-0 in Russia over a year ago. Can they cause an upset and book their place in next summer’s Euros or will the Scots stumble in Serbia?

Serbia are in patchy form, but Ljubisa Tumbakovic has several top players in his squad, and the home team will fancy their chances in this Path C final. The Serbians edged past Norway in Oslo in their semi-final, while Scotland beat Israel on penalties at Hampden Park. We can see the away side scoring in Belgrade, but Clarke’s boys could fall short on Thursday. The home win and both teams to score is available at a decent price of 7/2.

12th Nov 2020

19:45 - Northern Ireland v Slovakia

Northern Ireland to Win by One Goal @ 10/3

Ian Baraclough’s Northern Ireland go up against Slovakia at Windsor Park this Thursday for a place at next summer’s UEFA European Championship tournament. These two nations look well matched on paper, with the bookies having a tough time calling a favourite. Norn Iron will be looking to make home advantage count at Windsor Park, though the Slovakians will not be an easy nut to crack by any stretch of the imagination.

Both teams progressed through to the Path B final with penalty shootout semi-final victories. Northern Ireland drew 1-1 with Bosnia-Herzegovina, going on to seal a 4-3 win on spot kicks. Slovakia were held to a 0-0 home draw by Republic of Ireland, although they prevailed 4-2 on penalties in Bratislava. This will surely be another tight affair, with one goal potentially being enough to edge the tie. Home advantage might not mean so much without fans being present, but we’re backing the hosts to win by a one goal margin at odds of 10/3.

12th Nov 2020

19:45 - Wales v USA

Wales to Win -1 Goal @ 7/2

On Thursday night at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea, Wales and USA lock horns in an international friendly match that will be a decent test for the home side. This will be the first meeting between the two nations since the States beat the Welsh 2-0 in a friendly in San Jose, California back in May 2003. The Dragons are a different animal these days, though, and the home team are the favourites to get the win in midweek.

Wales have been in good form lately, losing just one game across all competitions in well over a year. Since a disappointing 3-0 loss to rivals England at Wembley Stadium last month, the Welsh have hit back with four points from a possible six in their UEFA Nations League campaign. USA are also in good form, winning four of their past five matches, but we are backing Wales in this one. There is excellent value in the hosts to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 7/2.

12th Nov 2020

20:00 - England v Republic of Ireland

England HT/FT @ 19/20

Gareth Southgate’s England welcome Stephen Kenny’s Republic of Ireland to Wembley Stadium on Thursday evening for an international friendly match. When these two last met, the pair drew 0-0 in a friendly in Dublin over five years ago. Incredibly, each of the last five meetings have ended in draws, while the Three Lions have not beaten the Irish since 1985.

England had been in good form before their shock 1-0 home defeat to Denmark in the UEFA Nations League last time out. That was their first reverse since a 2-1 loss to Czech Republic in a UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier in October 2019. Kenny has had a tough time since taking over the Irish national team, and Thursday’s fixture in London will be another difficult one for the Boys in Green. England are priced at odds of 19/20 to be winning at half time and full time.

15th Nov 2020

14:00 - Slovakia v Scotland

Draw @ 23/10

Steve Clarke’s in-form Scotland continue their UEFA Nations League campaign with a trip to Slovakia on Sunday. The Scots have been excellent so far, winning three and drawing one of their opening four Group B2 fixtures and promotion looks a real possibility. Victory at the Anton Malatinsky Stadium in Trnava at the weekend will seal Scotland’s move to League A of the Nations League.

When these two sides met at Hampden Park a month ago, Scotland secured a narrow victory on home turf. Lyndon Dykes, who has enjoyed a good run in the side of late, scored the only goal of the game. With promotion in sight, the Scots would love all three points from this one ahead of their final matchup against Israel. However, a draw would also be an excellent result for Clarke and his boys. The stalemate is priced at nice odds of 23/10.

15th Nov 2020

17:00 - Wales v Republic of Ireland

Wales to Win 1-0 @ 9/2

Wales and Republic of Ireland go head-to-head at the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday in a UEFA Nations League fixture. The reverse game in Dublin may have ended in a 0-0 draw, but the Dragons and the Irish have had several ding-dong battles in recent times. With Sunday’s Group B4 showdown taking place in the Welsh capital, Wales are the favourites at evens.

Ryan Giggs’ men have been incredibly solid in this season’s Nations League up until now. After back-to-back 1-0 wins over Finland and Bulgaria, Wales battled to a 0-0 draw with Ireland at the Aviva Stadium a month back. The Dragons then returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Bulgarians at the Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia. You can get the excellent odds of 9/2 for Wales to win 1-0 yet again and in a tight looking game that’s our call here.

15th Nov 2020

19:45 - Belgium v England

Draw & BTTS @ 10/3

Roberto Martinez’s Belgium and Gareth Southgate’s England meet at Den Dreef in Leuven this Sunday for what could well prove to be a decisive UEFA Nations League fixture. Group A2 is extremely tight at present, with the Belgians top with nine points, and England and Denmark level on seven. After losing at home to the Danes last time out, can the Three Lions get back to winning ways at the weekend?

England came from behind to beat Belgium at Wembley Stadium in the reverse game last month, with Marcus Rashford and Mason Mount getting the goals. However, that remains Belgium’s only defeat of the campaign. Martinez’s men are incredibly hard to beat, and the hosts are the favourites in this one. With just one game left after this, both teams will be looking for maximum points on Sunday. However, we are backing the draw and both teams to score at 10/3, a result which could let Denmark move into the race for top spot.

15th Nov 2020

19:45 - Austria v Northern Ireland

Austria to Win to Nil @ 6/5

Ian Baraclough takes his Northern Ireland troops to the Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna on Sunday to play Franco Foda’s Austria in UEFA Nations League action. The Austrians have been solid in League B, Group 1 so far, picking up an impressive nine points from a possible 12. In contrast, Norn Iron have taken just one point and look nailed on for relegation to League C.

It has been a tough Nations League campaign for Northern Ireland. After a good 1-1 draw with Romania in Bucharest, Baraclough’s side were beaten 5-1 at home by Norway in game two. 1-0 defeats to Austria and Norway have followed. This will be another stern test for the Green and White Army. Back Foda’s Austria to win to nil again, which is available at the tempting price of 6/5.

18th Nov 2020

19:45 - England v Iceland

England to Win to Nil @ 4/6

Gareth Southgate’s England welcome Erik Hamren’s Iceland to Wembley Stadium on Wednesday for their final UEFA Nations League fixture of the season. After a 2-0 defeat in Belgium at the weekend, the Three Lions’ hopes of reaching the Nations League finals were ended. However, England will be hoping to finish on a high with three points at home on Wednesday and against the group whipping boys they should deliver, even if the manager tries out some fringe players.

The English have won two, lost two and drawn one of five Group A2 matches. As for the Icelanders, they have lost all five of their fixtures, conceding a whopping 13 goals in the process. England have lost their last two Nations League games, but we fancy Southgate’s troops to end on a positive note at Wembley. Raheem Sterling scored the only goal of the game when the pair met in Reykjavik back in September. Back England to win to nil again at very nice odds of 4/6.

18th Nov 2020

19:45 - Northern Ireland v Romania

Romania Win @ 29/20

Ian Baraclough’s Northern Ireland take on Mirel Radoi’s Romania at Windsor Park on Wednesday in UEFA Nations League action. Norn Iron are bottom of League B, Group 1 and look certain to drop down to League C. It has been a miserable campaign for the Green and White Army, who also lost a UEFA Euro 2020/21 play-off last week.

Since battling to a draw in Bucharest on matchday one back in September, Northern Ireland have lost each of their following four Nations League games. Despite taking a late lead in Vienna last time out, Norn Iron went on to lose 2-1 to group leaders Austria at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion. The Romanians have been far from fantastic, but we can see Radoi’s men leaving Belfast on Wednesday with all three points. The Romanian win is priced at 29/20 and with home confidence in short supply that looks the value call here.

18th Nov 2020

19:45 - Rep of Ireland v Bulgaria

Draw & BTTS @ 9/2

Can Republic of Ireland finally win a UEFA Nations League game when they welcome Bulgaria to the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Wednesday? With Ireland on two points, while the Bulgarians have taken just one point from a possible 15, Wednesday’s clash in the Irish capital is a huge one for the pair. Who will get the win and avoid relegation to League C?

A point will be enough for Stephen Kenny’s men, but the Republic will be gunning for all three at the Aviva. It has been another disappointing Nations League campaign for the Irish, but avoiding relegation is a must. These two sides drew 1-1 in Sofia in September, with Shane Duffy’s late equaliser giving Ireland a point. Have a punt on the draw and both teams to score on Wednesday at the tasty price of 9/2.

18th Nov 2020

19:45 - Wales v Finland

Wales to Win by One Goal @ 13/5

Wales and Finland square off in a vital UEFA Nations League fixture at the Cardiff City Stadium on Wednesday night. The Dragons are top of League B, Group 4 with one match to play, a point ahead of the Finns, who recently sealed qualification for Euro 2020. A draw will see Wales through to League A, but the home side will be looking for all three points in Cardiff in midweek. This promises to be a cracking Nations League fixture between two teams punching well above their weight in football terms right now.

Wales have been incredibly solid in Group B4 so far, with all four of their wins ending 1-0. The Dragons are one of two countries yet to concede a single goal in this season’s Nations League. A clean sheet on Wednesday will see the Welsh promoted to League A and against a side that have hardly been free-scoring, they should manage that. This will no doubt be another close encounter, so our money is going on the hosts to win by one at 13/5, with the 1-0 home win also well worth backing at even longer odds.

20th Nov 2020

19:45 - Coventry City v Birmingham City

Birmingham City Win @ 31/20

Mark Robins’ Coventry City and Aitor Karanka’s Birmingham City square off at St Andrew’s in EFL Championship action on Friday night. These two clubs may share the same ground these days, but there will be no love lost on the pitch as both teams look for maximum points from this one. The Blues, who are five points ahead of the Sky Blues in the table, are the favourites.

Coventry were promoted as EFL League One champions last term, but they have had a tough time in the Championship up until now. Robins’ side have won two, drawn two and lost seven. Birmingham have made a slightly better start, though they have picked up just two wins since the opening weekend. This could be a close one at St Andrew’s, but our money is going on a narrow Birmingham win (31/20).

21st Nov 2020

12:30 - Newcastle United v Chelsea

Chelsea HT/FT @ 5/4

Premier League football is back this weekend, starting with Saturday’s early game at St James’ Park between Newcastle United and Chelsea. The Blues were beginning to hit their stride before the international break, winning four league and cup matches in a row. A slight change in formation has seemingly got the best out of the Blues’ new signings and they are looking good. Chelsea will be hoping to make it three Premier League victories on the spin with three points at St James’ on Saturday.

Steve Bruce’s Magpies have made a steady enough start themselves though, picking up three wins, suffering three defeats and drawing two of eight Premier League matches. Chelsea were sluggish out of the blocks, but Lampard’s men have won three and drawn two of their previous five in the league. The London side are in good shape, and the visitors should return to the capital with all three points. We fancy Chelsea to be winning at half time and full time (5/4).

21st Nov 2020

12:30 - Bournemouth v Reading

Bournemouth to Win -1 Goal @ 15/8

Jason Tindall’s Bournemouth and Veljko Paunovic’s Reading square off in Saturday’s early kick off in the EFL Championship. The Royals may be top of the table, but the Cherries are the clear favourites to pick up all three points at the Vitality Stadium. Reading will be desperate to avoid a fourth straight defeat, while Bournemouth will leapfrog their opponents to the top of the table with a home win.

Bournemouth have made a steady start to life back in the Championship, losing only one of their 11 games so far. After a 1-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday, Tindall’s troops hit back with a 3-1 win at Birmingham City before the break. Reading are still top, but they head to the Vitality having lost three on the spin. Their expected goal stats suggest the current slump is a better indication of their true level and so we think they may struggle again here against a very decent side. We like the look of Bournemouth to win -1 at 15/8.

21st Nov 2020

15:00 - Aston Villa v Brighton

Aston Villa Win and BTTS @ 3/1

Villa have surprised everyone this season, not least Liverpool who they battered 7-2 in one of the shocks of the Premier League. Depending on other results they could go top of the table with a win here and we expect them to do that against a Brighton outfit struggling, down in 16th and with just one win to their name. Brighton have probably played better at times than results suggest but things have not quite gone their way.

Villa will certainly be a tough nut for them to crack this weekend, with the Midlands outfit thriving with the ever-improving Jack Grealish pulling the strings and Ollie Watkins really taking well to Premier League life. The Seagulls have not had too many problems scoring this term though and we think they will get on the scoresheet here. They have notched in defeats against Spurs, Everton, Man United and Chelsea already this season so the Villa win and both teams to score is the way to go here at nice odds of 3/1.

21st Nov 2020

17:30 - Tottenham v Manchester City

Draw & BTTS @ 15/4

The standout game of the round in the Premier League this weekend sees Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City lock horns at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Jose Mourinho’s Spurs have started well, sitting a point behind leaders Leicester City in second place. Pep Guardiola’s Man City are already six points adrift of the top, although the Citizens do have a game in hand. This is a massive fixture for both clubs with a little extra spice coming from the animosity between the two managers.

Tottenham have recovered well from their opening day defeat to Everton, going on to win five and draw two of seven in the league. Man City have yet to get going, but Pep’s boys are unbeaten in their last nine across all competitions (six wins, three draws). We fancy these heavyweights to play out an entertaining draw in the capital. The draw and both teams to score is available at 15/4.

21st Nov 2020

20:00 - Manchester United v West Brom

Manchester United to Win Both Halves @ 7/4

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United entertain Slaven Bilic’s West Bromwich Albion in Premier League action at Old Trafford this Saturday night. With the Red Devils down in 14th place at present, only three points will do for the home team. Albion, who were promoted from the EFL Championship last term, have yet to win a Premier League game this season and we do not see them starting here.

Before the break, two Bruno Fernandes goals and a late strike from Edinson Cavani gave United an impressive 3-1 win over Everton at Goodison Park. However, that was just their third Premier League victory of the season. As for the Baggies, they have drawn three and lost five of their opening eight. Man Utd are a streaky side and we fancy they will go on a good run now. They should sail past West Brom at Old Trafford this weekend so back the hosts to win both halves at solid odds of 7/4.

22nd Nov 2020

14:00 - Sheffield United v West Ham

West Ham United to Win to Nil @ 3/1

Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United and David Moyes’ West Ham United clash in Premier League action at Bramall Lane on Sunday afternoon. The Blades are bottom of the league having taken just one point from eight games thus far. Sheffield United could really do with their first league win of the season this weekend, but the Hammers head to the Steel City in good form and are favourites to get the victory.

West Ham have won three, lost three and drawn two of their opening eight matches. Before the international break, a late goal from Tomas Soucek gave the Irons a 1-0 home victory over Fulham. Sheffield United have lost without scoring on four occasions already this season and there have been no obvious signs they are in a position to turn things around. As such, we’re taking a punt on West Ham to win to nil at Bramall Lane, which is nicely priced at odds of 3/1.

22nd Nov 2020

16:30 - Leeds United v Arsenal

Draw & BTTS @ 10/3

Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United welcome Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to Elland Road in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. United have made a decent start to their season, although their previous two games have ended in 4-1 defeats. As for the Gunners, they will be hoping to hit back after a shock 3-0 home loss to Aston Villa before the international break.

Leeds are down in 15th place in the table at present, but Bielsa’s boys have pulled off some eye-catching results this season. They have won three league games, taken a point off Manchester City as well as giving Liverpool a good game of it at Anfield. Arsenal have blown hot and cold, winning four and losing four of their opening eight. We fancy these two to play out a draw at Elland Road. We’ll be backing the draw and both teams to score at odds of 10/3 as we certainly can’t see the match ending goalless.

22nd Nov 2020

19:15 - Liverpool v Leicester City

Liverpool to Win -1 Goal @ 11/5

Champions Liverpool welcome the current Premier League leaders Leicester City to Anfield this Sunday night for a mouth-watering fixture. The Foxes are the surprise leaders as things stand, winning six of their opening eight. Ahead of this weekend’s fixtures, Jurgen Klopp’s Reds find themselves just a point behind in third. This promises to be a cracker at Anfield, but which side will prevail?

Since shock back-to-back home defeats to West Ham United and Aston Villa, Leicester have gone on to win six matches in a row in all competitions. As for Liverpool, they are unbeaten in seven league and cup games since that incredible 7-2 league defeat at Villa Park. Brendan Rodgers’ boys are a tough nut to crack, but Liverpool should make home advantage count on Sunday. The Reds have won by more than one goal five times this term. With that in mind we are going to back the hosts to win with a -1 goal handicap here at odds of 11/5.

24th Nov 2020

17:55 - Rennes v Chelsea

Chelsea to Win to Nil @ 12/5

Chelsea continue their UEFA Champions League campaign with a trip to Roazhon Park to take on Julien Stephan’s Rennes this Tuesday evening. Frank Lampard’s boys and Julen Lopetegui’s Sevilla have both picked up seven points from a possible nine so far so this could be a good opportunity for the Blues to edge towards finishing at the top of the group. Chelsea cruised to victory over the Ligue 1 side a fortnight ago – will the Premier League outfit claim another easy win in midweek?

Rennes have struggled in Champions League Group E, drawing one and losing two of their games thus far. As for Chelsea, after a 4-0 away win at Krasnodar, goals from Timo Werner (2) and Tammy Abraham gave the Blues a 3-0 victory over Rennes at Stamford Bridge in their last European encounter. We fancy Chelsea to get three points and keep a clean sheet in France. Take a punt on the away team to win to nil at odds of 12/5.

24th Nov 2020

20:00 - Man United v Istanbul Basaksehir

Manchester United Win & BTTS @ 7/4

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United will be out for revenge when they welcome Okan Buruk’s Istanbul Basaksehir to Old Trafford this Tuesday night in UEFA Champions League action. The Turkish side picked up a 2-1 win when the pair clashed in Istanbul before the international break. Nonetheless, the Red Devils are the clear favourites in this one.

Man United made a stunning start to Group H, winning 2-1 against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes back in October. United followed that up with an impressive 5-0 home victory over RB Leipzig on Matchday Two, with Marcus Rashford netting a hat-trick at Old Trafford. The defeat in Turkey was a setback, but Solskjaer’s side should return to winning ways on Tuesday. We like the look of the home win and both teams to score at odds of 7/4.

24th Nov 2020

20:00 - Bournemouth v Nottingham Forest

Bournemouth to Win -1 Goal @ 21/10

Jason Tindall’s Bournemouth and Chris Hughton’s Nottingham Forest do battle at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night in the EFL Championship. After suffering the agony of relegation from the Premier League last term, the Cherries will be hoping for an instant return to the top tier. Bournemouth have made a steady start under their new boss, but can they secure all three points on home turf in midweek?

Nottingham Forest lost each of their opening five league and cup matches under Sabri Lamouchi. However, Forest have shown a big improvement since the experienced Hughton arrived. Tuesday’s clash at Bournemouth will be one of their toughest challenges yet, though. We can see the home side securing a comfortable victory at the Vitality. Have a punt on Bournemouth to win with a -1 goal handicap, which you can get at the decent odds of 21/10.

25th Nov 2020

17:55 - Olympiakos v Manchester City

Manchester City to Win to Nil @ 6/5

Manchester City travel to Greece in midweek to take on Olympiakos at the Karaiskakis Stadium in UEFA Champions League action. City are one of the tournament favourites, and three points in Piraeus on Wednesday would see them safely through to the knockout stages of this season’s Champions League. After easing to three wins out of three so far, Pep Guardiola’s men are the big favourites in this one.

Man City came from behind to beat Porto at the Etihad Stadium in game one. The Premier League giants followed that up with comfortable 3-0 wins over Marseille and Olympiakos. Ferran Torres, Gabriel Jesus and Joao Cancelo got the goals in the easy victory over the Greeks in Manchester. We fancy Pep’s boys to keep another clean sheet on Wednesday. You can get City to win to nil at decent odds of 6/5.

25th Nov 2020

19:00 - Middlesbrough v Derby

Draw & BTTS @ 15/4

In the EFL Championship in midweek, Middlesbrough welcome lowly Derby County to the Riverside Stadium. The experienced Neil Warnock has made his Boro side hard to beat this season, and the home team will be looking for a positive result here. The Rams, who recently parted ways with Phillip Cocu, have made a woeful start to their Championship campaign.

As we touched on, Middlesbrough have been a tough nut to crack under Warnock this term. Boro could be dark horses for the play-offs, while Derby will be desperate to avoid a relegation scrap. These two sides played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Riverside Stadium back in January when they last met, and we fancy this one to end all square in North Yorkshire. The draw and both teams to score is available at odds of 15/4.

25th Nov 2020

19:00 - Millwall v Reading

Draw @ 13/5

Gary Rowett’s Millwall and Veljko Paunovic’s Reading meet at The Den in an intriguing fixture in the EFL Championship on Wednesday night. The Royals may have had a slump in form of late, but Paunovic has made a strong start at the Madejski Stadium on the whole, guiding Reading to seven wins from their first eight Championship matches. Can the boys from Berkshire secure the points in the capital on Wednesday?

Millwall have not lost many games this season, but the London side are an unpredictable outfit these days. Even without fans in the stadium, The Den is always a tough place to visit. The Lions head into this one as the favourites with the bookies, but we fancy Reading to hold the home team to a frustrating draw. If you agree, you can get the draw at the decent price of 23/10.

25th Nov 2020

19:45 - Bristol City v Watford

Watford to Win by One Goal @ 11/4

Dean Holden’s Bristol City welcome Vladimir Ivic’s Watford to Ashton Gate this Wednesday. These two sides both have Premier League aspirations, and this promises to be an entertaining EFL Championship encounter in Bristol. Can the Robins fly to all three points on home soil, or will the Hornets return to Herefordshire with a big three points in the bag?

Bristol City made a solid start to their season before going five games without a win. Nevertheless, City have got back on track since. Watford are one of the title favourites, and Ivic has settled in nicely at Vicarage Road. This has the potential to swing either way, but we fancy the in-form Hornets to seal a narrow margin of victory at Ashton Gate. Have a punt on the away team to win by a one goal margin at odds of 11/4.

25th Nov 2020

20:00 - Liverpool v Atalanta

Liverpool to Win Both Halves @ 10/3

Liverpool have dominated Group D of the UEFA Champions League, winning three out of three, scoring eight and conceding none. Jurgen Klopp’s men will be looking for another comfortable European victory when they entertain Serie A side Atalanta at Anfield on Wednesday night. As you would expect, the Premier League champions are the clear favourites to take maximum points from this one, but it might not be quite so easy an evening as the odds suggest if complacency creeps into the home side’s ranks.

Liverpool ran riot in Bergamo in the reverse game, with new signing Diego Jota helping himself to a hat-trick in the 5-0 romp – Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane got the others. The Reds are already five points clear of Ajax and Atalanta in Group D and – if they stay focused and ruthless – Liverpool should have no problems. We are backing Klopp’s boys to win both halves of this one at Anfield, which is available at a fair price of 10/3.

26th Nov 2020

17:55 - Molde v Arsenal

Arsenal Win & BTTS @ 11/5

In UEFA Europa League Group B on Thursday evening, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal travel to Norway to take on Erling Moe’s Molde at the Aker Stadion. A win for the Gunners would see them safely through to the knockout stages of this season’s Europa League. The Premier League side will be the favourites in Molde, but the home team can be a tough nut to crack on their own patch.

In the reverse game at the Emirates Stadium earlier in the month, Arsenal came from behind to secure a comfortable 4-1 win in the end. In doing so, the London side took control of the group, moving three points clear of Molde. We fancy a similar kind of outcome in Norway on Thursday. Check out the Arsenal win and both teams to score at a nice price of 11/5.

26th Nov 2020

17:55 - Sporting Braga v Leicester

Leicester City to Win -1 Goal @ 11/4

Brendan Rodgers’ in-form Leicester City are well on their way to the knockout stages of the 2020-21 UEFA Europa League. The Foxes have looked the real deal in the Europa League so far, winning three out of three, scoring nine goals and conceding one up to this point. Leicester will be looking to make it 12 points from a possible 12 when they make the trip to Portugal to play Braga on Thursday.

City put on a stunning performance when the pair met at the King Power Stadium earlier in the month, running out impressive 4-0 winners. Kelechi Iheanacho helped himself to a brace, while Dennis Praet and James Maddison got the others. Our money is going on Leicester in this one. The Premier League outfit are available at odds of 11/4 to win with a -1 goal handicap.

26th Nov 2020

17:55 - Sparta Prague v Celtic

Sparta Prague to Win -1 Goal @ 11/4

Neil Lennon takes his Celtic troops to the Stadion Letna in Prague to play Vaclav Kotal’s Sparta Prague in UEFA Europa League Group H action on Thursday night. The Bhoys fell to an embarrassing 4-1 defeat when the two teams clashed at Celtic Park a few weeks back. Can the Scottish champions restore some pride in Prague?

Celtic have had a miserable Europa League campaign up until now, collecting just one point from three Group H fixtures. The Hoops are rock bottom of the group and have conceded nine goals already. Unfortunately for Lennon’s men, we can see them losing again in midweek. Sparta were sparkling in Glasgow in the reverse match, and we like the look of Prague to win with a -1 goal handicap on home soil this Thursday, which you can get at the top odds of 11/4.

26th Nov 2020

20:00 - Tottenham v Ludogorets Razgrad

Tottenham Hotspur to win both halves @ 4/6

Tottenham Hotspur are involved in a huge UEFA Europa League fixture on Thursday night. With Spurs, Antwerp and LASK all on level of six points apiece in Group J, Tottenham will be looking for a big margin of victory when Stanislav Genchev’s Ludogorets Razgrad travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. As you would expect, Jose Mourinho’s men are the overwhelming favourites to seize the victory.

Spurs went to the top of the Premier League with an impressive win over Manchester City last time out. The London side have had a busy schedule this season, with Thursday’s game being their 17th match already. So far, Tottenham have been beaten just twice. Mourinho’s men should be far too strong for Bulgarian side in midweek. Have a punt on Tottenham to win both halves on home turf at odds of 4/6.

26th Nov 2020

20:00 - Rangers v Benfica

Rangers Win @ 21/20

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers have made an incredible start to their 2020-21 season, winning 18 and drawing three of their opening 21 league and cup matches. This Thursday night, the Gers will be looking for another victory when they entertain Portuguese giants Benfica at Ibrox in UEFA Europa League action. The Scottish Premiership leaders are level on points with Jorge Jesus’s Eagles ahead of this mouth-watering matchup.

These two sides played out a six-goal thriller at the Estadio da Luz, with Rangers letting a two-goal lead slip to leave Lisbon with a 3-3 draw. Nevertheless, the Gers are top of Group D. This will unquestionably be another stern test for Gerrard’s men, but we fancy the Scottish giants to secure an invaluable three points on home turf this Thursday. The Rangers win is nicely priced at odds of 21/20.

27th Nov 2020

19:45 - Brentford v QPR

Brentford HT/FT @ 8/5

On Friday night in the EFL Championship, west London rivals Brentford and Queens Park Rangers lock horns at the Brentford Community Stadium. The Bees, who were many people’s favourites for promotion before a ball was kicked this season, could really do with maximum points having not won at home since beating Coventry City in mid-October.

Brentford do not lose many under Thomas Frank, but they head into this one having drawn each of their previous three at home and fans would have expected a much greater return than 17 points with 12 games gone. As for QPR, their 1-0 victory at Derby County earlier in the month remains their only away win of the season. We are backing Brentford to get back to winning ways on home soil with an easy victory on Friday. Put some money on the home side to be winning at half time and full time at a general price of 8/5.

27th Nov 2020

19:55 - Tranmere v Brackley

Tranmere Rovers to Win -2 Goals @ 10/3

Tranmere Rovers of EFL League Two welcome National League North side Brackley Town to Prenton Park this Friday for a second round tie in the Emirates FA Cup. Since losing four of five League Two games, Rovers have won each of their last five in all competitions ahead of Tuesday’s league clash with Carlisle United. They have looked impressive in those games but will Tranmere progress in the cup this Friday?

In round one, Rovers edged past Accrington Stanley at Prenton Park, with Corey Taylor and Peter Clarke netting in a 2-1 win. As for Brackley, they have beaten Billericay Town, Marske United and Bishops Stortford to reach the second round. Unfortunately for the away team, we can see League Two Tranmere being too strong for the Saints at Prenton Park. Back Keith Hill’s men to win -2 at 10/3, good value given they nine in their last two league clashes.

27th Nov 2020

20:00 - Crystal Palace v Newcastle

Crystal Palace Win & BTTS @ 4/1

Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace entertain Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United at Selhurst Park this Friday night. The Eagles are in mid-table in the Premier League having won four, lost four and drawn one of their opening nine matches. As for the Magpies, they have taken 11 points so far and currently sit four places beneath their opponents. This is a big game for both sides, but who will come out on top in the capital?

Palace have lost two of their last three, but they did thump Leeds United 4-1 in their previous home game. Since beating Everton 2-1 at St James’ Park, Newcastle have lost back-to-back games to Southampton and Chelsea. Hodgson’s side will be hoping to make home advantage count in this one. Check out the home win and both teams to score at the very chunky odds of 4/1.

28th Nov 2020

12:30 - Brighton v Liverpool

Liverpool HT/FT @ 6/4

Graham Potter’s Brighton & Hove Albion and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool go head-to-head at the Amex Stadium in Premier League action this Saturday afternoon. After last weekend’s impressive 3-0 home win over Leicester City, the champions moved joint top of the Premier League, level on points with Tottenham Hotspur. The in-form Reds will be looking for another comfortable victory when they take on Albion on Saturday as they continue to make light of their injury issues.

Brighton picked up a fine win of their own last weekend, seeing off Aston Villa at Villa Park. That was the Seagulls’ first league victory since winning at Newcastle United on matchday two. Brighton are always competitive and have pushed a number of the best sides very close this term already. However, Liverpool’s qualities should shine through in East Sussex. Check out the tempting odds of 6/4 for Klopp’s boys to be winning at half time and full time at the Amex.

28th Nov 2020

12:30 - Reading v Bristol City

Bristol City Win @ 15/8

On Saturday afternoon in the EFL Championship, Veljko Paunovic’s Reading and Dean Holden’s Bristol City meet at the Madejski Stadium. The Royals raced out of the blocks to fire themselves to top spot, winning seven of their opening eight. However, the Berkshire club have struggled to replicate that form in recent matches. Bristol City also won four out four at the start, but the Robins have been in fine fettle of late following a minor blip.

Reading won their opening four Championship home games, scoring seven and conceding none. Expected goals stats suggested their run would not continue long and so it proved. Their last two in particular have been horror shows, losing 3-0 to both Preston North End and Stoke City. Bristol City have been excellent on the road under Holden, winning four of their opening six. We are backing the Robins to seal another three points (15/8) away from home on Saturday.

28th Nov 2020

12:30 - Morecambe v Solihull Moors

Solihull Moors Win & BTTS @ 13/2

Derek Adams’ Morecambe and James Shan’s Solihull Moors lock horns at the Mazuma Stadium on Saturday in second round Emirates FA Cup action. The Shrimps are currently in 14th spot in the EFL League Two table, winning five, losing five and drawing four so far. Solihull have played just seven times in the National League, winning four games. Who will progress to round three of the FA Cup and can the non-league side cause an upset?

In the previous round, Morecambe secured a narrow away win over Maldon & Tiptree, with an Adam Phillips penalty sparing their blushes in Essex. The Moors beat Wrexham 4-0 before winning 3-2 at Scunthorpe United in round one earlier in the month. We fancy the National League side to edge past League Two opponents once again. Take a punt on the away victory and both teams to score at the really tempting price of 13/2.

28th Nov 2020

15:00 - Manchester City v Burnley

Manchester City to Win -2 Goals @ 6/5

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will be eager to get back to winning ways in the Premier League after last weekend’s disappointment at Tottenham Hotspur. This Saturday, City welcome Sean Dyche’s Burnley to the Etihad Stadium. The Clarets have a horrid recent record against the Manchester giants, losing 10 of the last 11 league and cup meetings and they will be fearful of a backlash from the home side. City are the big favourites in this one.

Man City’s Premier League season has yet to take off to say the very least. The Citizens are down in 13th spot having picked up just 12 points from eight games as they struggle to score the goals their dominance merits. However, after last weekend’s defeat at Spurs, Pep’s troops will be out for blood in this one. Burnley secured their first league win of the season last time out, but we can see Dyche’s side crashing to a heavy defeat at the Etihad. Back Man City to win -2 at decent odds of 6/5.

28th Nov 2020

15:00 - Bradford v Oldham

Oldham Athletic Win @ 15/8

Bradford City and Oldham Athletic face off in an all-EFL League Two Emirates FA Cup tie on Saturday. The winners at Valley Parade will book their spot in the third round of the competition and possibly a glamour tie against a big Premier League side. Both teams have had tough starts to their respective league campaigns, with the Bantams down in 20th, while the Latics are three places and four points better off.

Oldham made a poor start to their season but have certainly turned a corner of late. Harry Kewell’s boys have won five of their previous six in all competitions. On Tuesday, they picked up an excellent 4-3 win at Barrow, while they have won four on the spin on their travels. Bradford have lost three of their last four and so Athletic will fancy their chances in this one. We feel the away win is nicely priced at 15/8.

28th Nov 2020

15:00 - Portsmouth v King’s Lynn Town

Portsmouth to Win Both Halves @ 6/4

Kenny Jackett’s Portsmouth of EFL League One welcome National League side King’s Lynn Town to Fratton Park this Saturday for a second round tie in the Emirates FA Cup. Pompey are flying high in fourth place in League One at present after seven wins from their opening 14. As you would expect, the home side are the overwhelming favourites in this one and we expect them to deliver the goods.

Jackett’s side edged a thriller at Portman Road in round one. They let a two-goal lead slip to fellow League One high flyers Ipswich Town, but Sean Raggett’s 111th-minute strike put Pompey through to the second round. King’s Lynn beat Port Vale on the road in the last round, but we can see Portsmouth being far too strong for them at Fratton Park. The hosts are available at nice enough odds of 6/4 to win both halves.

28th Nov 2020

17:30 - Everton v Leeds United

Everton to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

Two great managers are up against each other here as Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton and Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United go head-to-head at Goodison Park in a fascinating Premier League fixture on Saturday evening. This will be the first Premier League meeting between the two famous clubs since April 2004. After a much-needed win last time out, can the Toffees make it back-to-back victories? The home side are the favourites and with their brilliant front three back together they will fancy their chances of breaching this weak Leeds backline.

After going four games without a win, last weekend’s 3-2 victory at Fulham will have been a big relief for Everton. Leeds have been competitive so far, but they head to Merseyside having won just one of their last six. This has the potential to be an exciting yet close fought game at Goodison, though we can see the home side nicking the points. You can get the big price of 3/1 for the hosts to win by one goal.

28th Nov 2020

17:30 - Peterborough v Chorley

Peterborough United HT/FT @ 8/15

Darren Ferguson’s Peterborough United have made an excellent start to their EFL League One season, sitting just two points off top spot in second after 14 games. The Posh will be looking for a comfortable win in the Emirates FA Cup this Saturday when they welcome National League North side Chorley to London Road. Will United ease into round three, or can the Magpies cause an almighty and unlikely upset?

After back-to-back losses, Peterborough returned to winning ways in League Two on Tuesday night, with Jonson Clarke-Harris’ goal giving them a vital 1-0 win over Plymouth Argyle. On the whole, Ferguson’s boys have been excellent on home turf this season, and United should cruise past lower league opposition in the cup at the weekend. Peterborough are priced at 8/15 to be winning at half time and full time and that looks a nice addition to any Saturday accas.

28th Nov 2020

20:00 - West Brom v Sheffield United

Draw & Under 2.5 Goals @ 5/2

West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United square off in a huge Premier League fixture at The Hawthorns on Saturday night. These two sides are the only ones left in the top tier without a win, with the Blades bottom on one point, while the Baggies are two points above with three points to their name. Will we see a winner at The Hawthorns?

Since draws with Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion, West Brom have lost each of their last three in the Premier League. As for Sheffield United, they have lost eight of their opening nine, with their only point coming against fellow strugglers Fulham. With both teams in woeful form, we fancy this one to end in an uneventful draw. Put a few quid on the draw and under 2.5 goals at 5/2, with 0-0 a real possibility in what is sure to be a game where both sides are determined not to lose.

29th Nov 2020

12:00 - Nottingham Forest v Swansea

Swansea to win to nil @ 10/3

The only game in the second tier on Sunday takes place in the East Midlands and sees the struggling hosts come up against a team who are a huge 11 points better off. Forest were among the promotion favourites pre-season but are now down in 20th place, with their Welsh opponents flying high in fourth. Unsurprisingly the Swans are favourites here, priced at 13/8 with the draw 9/4 and Forest out at 19/10.

Both teams have been a little hit and miss of late, the hosts having lost their last two but winning two in a row prior to that and Steve Cooper’s troops having won one and drawn two of their last four. None the less, on what we have seen of both outfits thus far it is clear that the away team have the edge. The Swans have the second-best defence in the Championship and against a team that has managed just nine goals in 13 games the away win to nil looks superb value at odds of 10/3.

29th Nov 2020

13:30 - Barnet v MK Dons

Barnet Win @ 9/2

As well as league action this Sunday we also have a number of FA Cup ties as teams look to progress to the all-important Third Round where a Premier League giant may be the reward. The first FA Cup clash on our radar sees MK Dons, currently 17th in League One, travel to Barnet, who are struggling in the Conference Premier at the moment. They are currently in 18th position and on a poor run of results. Unsurprisingly it is the team higher up the football pyramid who are the favourites, with the Dons odds-on here. We’ve got this one marked for an upset though!

Whilst the Bees are in poor form, in a season of upsets in the various cups and leagues, odds of 9/2 look far too large to us. The Dons are in poor form themselves and won’t relish the trip south, whilst it is very much a free hit for the hosts who will be glad to take a break from league action. They got a good draw against Hartlepool last time out and beat another League One side, Burton, in the First Round of this competition. They won’t be intimidated by third-tier opponents and 9/2 looks a value bet.

29th Nov 2020

13:30 - Bristol Rovers v Darlington

Bristol Rovers Win @ 2/7

No “cupsets” here unfortunately as we see a routine home win for the League One outfit against Darlington, who are currently 12th in the National League North. Tipping Bristol Rovers is hardly a bold move and, at odds of just 2/7, it is not a bet that will make you rich but we feel it is a very tidy addition to your FA Cup and/or Sunday accas.

Despite the fact the West Country outfit come into this tie in woeful league form, having taken just two points from the last 15 on offer, they have performed better in the cups. In mid-November they recorded a great win over Chelsea U-21s and beat Walsall in this competition prior to that. On paper, they have a far stronger squad than Darlington and we think they have more than enough to move into the next round.

29th Nov 2020

14:00 - Southampton v Man United

Southampton to win @ 3/1

We are reaching a point in the season where the table is really starting to take shape but no doubt Man United fans (and those of Man City and Arsenal, who are even lower in the standings at the moment) would dispute that. The Red Devils are in 10th place, five places and four points worse off than their hosts here. Whilst the Saints have enjoyed a fine start, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have been generally poor, the Red Devils have managed to put a few results together lately.

United have now won three games in a row including a fine 4-1 triumph in the Champions League in midweek. However, they tend to struggle against sides that either sit back and defend or play with a very frantic, all-out press and the super Saints very much fall into that latter category. The hosts will be better rested, are unbeaten in seven, will cause United’s defence all sorts of issues and, at 3/1, are cracking value for the win.

29th Nov 2020

14:45 - Marine v Havant & Waterlooville

Havant & Waterlooville -1.5 @ 16/13

We have two non-league sides up next as Merseyside outfit Marine, currently plying their trade in the Northern Premier League Division One North West, host Havant and Waterlooville. The visitors are, relatively at least, the “big boys” here and they currently reside ninth (with several games in hand on many teams) in the National League South. They have won their last two games and make the trip to Crosby as the 8/15 favourites, with the hosts available at odds of 9/2.

Marine are not classed under the “elite football” umbrella and so they have not been able to train collectively during the latest government restrictions. They have not played since the First Round game with Colchester and although that was a fine win (on penalties) we feel their run will end here. We fancy the visitors should win easily enough and so backing them with a -1.5 goal handicap is our tip here at the solid-looking price of 16/13.

29th Nov 2020

16:30 - Chelsea v Tottenham

Under 2.5 goals @ 11/10

The biggest game of Sunday sees the league leaders (ahead of Saturday’s games) visit third-placed Chelsea as Jose Mourinho returns to Stamford Bridge. Both teams are in fine fettle right now and with more than a quarter of the season gone after this clash, it is fair to say we can begin to take the league table seriously. A win for either side would, therefore, have to mean they are taken seriously as title contenders.

Even with no fans inside the ground, it is the hosts, who trail Spurs by two points, who are the favourites at odds of 11/10. Mourinho’s men are available at 13/5 which will tempt many and the draw is on offer at that same price, 13/5. In what is likely to be a tight game, a stalemate may be the way to go but instead, we’re opting for under 2.5 goals here at 11/10. Spurs have only conceded nine goals all season and we expect the Special One would be more than happy with a point here. Chelsea have been scoring freely of late but we can see this one being cagey rather than open and odds the right side of evens are too good to turn down.

29th Nov 2020

19:15 - Arsenal v Wolves

BTTS - No @ 20/23

The Gunners have a whole host of issues on and off the pitch at the moment and having appeared to make progress they seem to have taken two steps backwards. Wolves, in contrast, continue to quietly go about their business and are currently in ninth position, albeit just a point ahead of their hosts here. This should be a close game but not, we suspect, one for the neutrals.

These two teams have identical goals for and against records, with both scoring exactly a goal a game thus far and conceding a fraction over that (both have shipped 10 in their nine matches to date). Only three teams have scored fewer than the nine registered by both of these clubs and the home team have scored just once in their last five in the Premier League. In what looks guaranteed to be a low-scoring clash, backing against both teams scoring looks excellent value at odds of 20/23.

30th Nov 2020

17:30 - Leicester City v Fulham

Leicester to win by 1 goal @ 11/4

We have another Premier League double header to settle in and enjoy this coming Monday evening. First up it’s this clash at the King Power, as Brendan Rodgers’ high-flying Foxes play host to a Fulham outfit whose sole objective for the season is to fly just a little higher than the relegation zone. Put in their place last time out away at an understrength Liverpool, Leicester will be looking at this as the ideal opportunity to bounce back to winning ways. Fulham meanwhile will be seeking to avoid defeat for only the third time this season in the Premier League.

Having shipped four in their opening away fixture at Leeds, Fulham do seem to be placing more emphasis on defence at present, and have now conceded only once in each of their three subsequent games on the road. That has still only been good for one point – in a draw at fellow strugglers Sheffield United – and the likelihood is that Leicester will ultimately find a way through. Take Leicester to win by a one goal margin at 11/4.

30th Nov 2020

19:45 - Canvey Island v Boreham Wood

Boreham Wood to win and Both Teams To Score @ 11/5

It’s not all about the big earners of the top flight. Monday evening also offers us the charms of the second round of the FA Cup, as Boreham Wood of the National League lock horns with Canvey Island of Isthmian League North Division. Canvey Island will at least have the home comforts of their Park Lane ground, but they may well need all the help they can get facing a side from two tiers above them in the British League pyramid. That said, the FA Cup was made for upsets, and the prospect of a place alongside the big guns for the third round draw should provide plenty of motivation for both sides.

This will be Canvey’s seventh tie in the competition this season having battled past the likes of Biggleswade and Cray Wanderers to make it this far. They have been in good goalscoring form in the competition having notched at least twice in each of those ties. Boreham Wood meanwhile have struggled for goals in the league – hitting only seven in nine games – but are averaging 2.50 per game in this competition. Backing the visitors to win and both teams to score at odds of 11/5 looks a decent punt.

30th Nov 2020

20:00 - West Ham v Aston Villa

Aston Villa to win @ 21/10

Rounding off the Premier League action for the week is this battle of the Claret and Blues. David Moyes’ Hammers outfit looked like they may be in for another long season when losing their opening two fixtures but have bounced back in good style to lose only one of their subsequent seven. Villa meanwhile have been going well overall, but are becoming increasingly difficult to predict, mixing in a battering of Liverpool and thrashing of Arsenal with home slumps to Leeds, Southampton and Brighton last time out.

One of the standout stats when looking at this game is the fact that Villa are yet to concede in three Premier League away outings this season. Having kept a clean sheet at both Leicester and Arsenal, the Villains must have decent claims of doing so here against a West Ham outfit who may still be without Michail Antonio. The Hammers gave up chances at Sheffield United last time out, and may just come unstuck here. At the prices, we like the away win in this one.

1st Dec 2020

20:00 - Cardiff v Huddersfield

Cardiff City to Win -1 Goal @ 13/5

On Tuesday evening in the EFL Championship, Neil Harris’s Cardiff City and Carlos Corberan’s Huddersfield Town lock horns at the Cardiff City Stadium. After their emphatic home win over Luton Town last weekend, the Bluebirds will be searching for back-to-back victories in South Wales. As for the Terriers, they edged a five-goal thriller against Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough.

Cardiff have made a poor start to the season by their standards, but the Welsh side made light work of Luton last time out, with Sean Morrison, Mark Harris, Kieffer Moore and Sheyi Ojo all scoring in the 4-0 romp. Huddersfield picked up their first win in five last Saturday, beating Boro 3-2, but we fancy the Bluebirds to get the points in this one. Check out the tempting price of 13/5 for the home team to win with a -1 goal handicap on Tuesday evening.

1st Dec 2020

19:45 - Bournemouth v Preston

Bournemouth HT/FT @ 6/4

Jason Tindall’s Bournemouth and Alex Neil’s Preston North End go head-to-head at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night in an EFL Championship encounter. The Cherries are flying high in second spot at present, having racked up an impressive 27 points from 14 league games. Preston have already lost eight times in the league this season and are languishing down in 18th position as a consequence.

Bournemouth have been in excellent form of late, losing only one of their last 12 games. Before last weekend’s 2-2 draw at Rotherham United, the Cherries had won three in a row. In contrast, Preston have lost five of their past seven in the Championship. We fancy the home team to secure an easy victory on Tuesday. Check out the decent odds of 6/4 for Bournemouth to be winning at half time and full time.

1st Dec 2020

20:00 - Porto v Manchester City

Man City Win & BTTS @ 9/4

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City travel to Portugal this Tuesday to face Sergio Conceicao’s Porto in UEFA Champions League group action. The Premier League giants are already safely through to the last 16 having won four out four in Group C. City will be looking to make it 15 points from a possible 15 with victory at the Estadio do Dragao in midweek.

City have looked the real deal in the Champions League so far this season, scoring 10 goals and shipping just once along the way. Last week’s assured 1-0 win against Olympiakos at the Karaiskakis Stadium put the Citizens through to the knockout stages. Man City beat Porto 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium in the reverse game, and we fancy this to end in a similar scoreline. Put a few quid on the away win and both teams to score at odds of 9/4.

1st Dec 2020

20:00 - Liverpool v Ajax

Liverpool to Win to Nil @ 11/4

After last week’s shock loss to Atalanta at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool still have work to do in UEFA Champions League Group D. The Premier League champions lead the way on nine points, with Ajax and Atalanta both on seven points. This Tuesday night, the Reds welcome Erik ten Hag’s Ajax to Anfield for a crucial Champions League group game.

Liverpool had won their opening three Group D matches, scoring eight goals and conceding none. They beat Atalanta 5-0 in Bergamo in game three, so last week’s 2-0 defeat to the Italian side at Anfield was certainly a shock result. Nevertheless, we can see Liverpool bouncing back with a big three points at home in midweek. Klopp’s boys have kept three Champions League clean sheets so far and we’ll be backing the hosts to win to nil in this one at a fair price of 11/4.

1st Dec 2020

20:00 - Rotherham v Brentford

Brentford to Win Both Halves @ 9/2

Rotherham United and Brentford clash in EFL Championship action at the New York Stadium on Tuesday night. Paul Warne’s Millers head into this one having lost four of their last six in the league, while Thomas Frank’s Bees are unbeaten in seven. Will the London side secure a third Championship victory on the spin on Tuesday night?

Rotherham have found it tough going so far, collecting just 13 points from 14 games. Brentford have made an indifferent start, but back-to-back wins over Barnsley and Queens Park Rangers has lifted them up to seventh in the table. A 3-2 loss at Stoke City remains the Bees’ only defeat in 10 Championship games. We fancy the away team to seal an easy win in South Yorkshire in midweek. Back Brentford to win both halves at odds of 9/2.
