Football Tips – October 2021

3rd Oct 2021

14:00 - Crystal Palace v Leicester

Draw @ 12/5

Crystal Palace welcome Leicester City to Selhurst Park this Sunday for a Premier League fixture. The Eagles have picked up only one league win so far this term, while the Foxes are just a point above Palace in the current standings. After losing half of their previous eight league and cup matches, Leicester will be eyeing up maximum points from their trip to the capital.

Since narrowly beating Norwich City at Carrow Road in late August, Brendan Rodgers’ troops are without a win in three in the Premier League, losing to Manchester City and Brighton and Hove Albion and drawing with Burnley. Crystal Palace have been competitive under Patrick Vieira, and the London side have drawn three of their last five games. We don’t think either side will have enough to dominate in this one so we’ll be having a punt on the match to end all square at the decent price of 12/5.

3rd Oct 2021

14:00 - Tottenham v Aston Villa

Tottenham Hotspur Win & BTTS @ 3/1

Nuno Espirito Santo’s Tottenham Hotspur and Dean Smith’s Aston Villa lock horns in a tasty-looking Premier League fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Spurs will be desperate to strike back after three poor league defeats on the spin. The Villans will be no pushovers, but Tottenham should home make home advantage count.

Spurs were top of the table during the last international break, winning their opening three without conceding. However, things have gone downhill since, as Nuno’s boys have suffered a trio of Premier League defeats. Aston Villa picked up a stunning win at Old Trafford last time out, but we cannot see Tottenham losing a fourth league game on the bounce. Check out the tempting price of 3/1 for the home side to win and both teams to score here.

3rd Oct 2021

16:30 - Liverpool v Manchester City

Draw & Over 2.5 Goals @ 17/2

The final Premier League game before the October international break is an absolute cracker, as Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City do battle in a heavyweight encounter at Anfield on Sunday afternoon. The Reds are top of the table after opening up with four wins and two draws. However, champions Man City are just a point behind the Merseysiders in second and they certainly won’t want to let the Reds open up more of a gap.

Liverpool are the only unbeaten side left in the Premier League. Man City have recovered well from their opening day defeat at Tottenham Hotspur and have collected 13 points from a possible 18. These two teams have had several memorable battles in recent times, and we should be in for more of the same on Sunday. The giants are hard to split, so take a punt on the draw and over 2.5 goals at a decent price of 17/2.

6th Oct 2021

19:45 - Italy v Spain

Italy to Win by One Goal @ 11/4

Roberto Mancini’s Italy and Luis Enrique’s Spain lock horns in the UEFA Nations League finals on Wednesday night. The winners of this semi-final at the San Siro in Milan will face either Belgium or France in the 2021 Nations League final on Sunday night. The UEFA Euro 2020 winners head into this one as the bookies’ favourites and they’ll be seeking to maintain the impressive momentum they have built up in recent times.

These two European heavyweights met at the semi-final stage of Euro 2020 in the summer, with the Italians winning on penalties at Wembley Stadium. Gli Azzurri have been in stunning form since Mancini took over the national side and the Italians will want to get their hands on yet another trophy this week. Spain could be a tough nut to crack but we fancy the hosts will do enough to edge it on home soil. As such we’ll be putting some money on Italy to win by one goal at odds of 11/4.

7th Oct 2021

19:45 - Belgium v France

France to Win 1-0 @ 13/2

At the Juventus Stadium in Turin on Thursday, heavyweights Belgium and France square off for a place in Sunday’s 2021 UEFA Nations League final. This promises to be a mouth-watering match between two evenly matched nations, but who will get the win and face either Italy or Spain? The Belgians might be top of the FIFA World Rankings but the French are the favourites to triumph in Turin.

This will be the first meeting between the two since they locked horns in a 2018 FIFA World Cup semi-final over three years ago. France edged that one thanks to a Samuel Umtiti goal and went on to lift the trophy in Russia. Belgium have gone from strength to strength since then, but our money is going on France. It will no doubt be tight again and our tip is to turn to the correct score market and have a punt on the French to win 1-0 at odds of 13/2.

8th Oct 2021

19:45 - Czech Republic v Wales

Draw & BTTS @ 9/2

Robert Page’s Wales are involved in a huge 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Friday night. The Dragons make the trip to the Sinobo Stadium in Prague to face Jaroslav Silhavy’s Czech Republic. Both nations have taken seven points in qualification thus far, though Wales have a game in hand. A Welsh victory would put them in a commanding position to take second spot in the group behind Belgium.

After drawing a blank against Estonia at the Cardiff City Stadium last time out, Wales will be desperate to bounce back with a win on Friday. However, they will have to do it without talisman Gareth Bale, who will miss the October qualifiers through injury. A point would not be the end of the world for Page’s troops, though, and there is good value in the odds of 9/2 for the draw and both teams to score in Prague.

9th Oct 2021

17:00 - Scotland v Israel

Draw & BTTS @ 15/4

Scotland and Israel meet again at Hampden Park at the weekend. These two nations know each other extremely well after squaring off six times in the last three years. Three of the past four meetings between the pair have ended level (in normal time), and this 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier could go either way in Glasgow.

Steve Clarke’s Scotland have had a decent time of late, and the Scots head into this one in second position in Group F after three wins, two draws and one defeat from six qualifiers. Israel are not too far behind, as Willi Ruttensteiner’s side have collected 10 points so far. Recent games between these two have been tight and fancy this to end all square in Glasgow. Back the draw and both teams to score at a price of 15/4.

9th Oct 2021

17:00 - Azerbaijan v Republic of Ireland

Draw @ 21/10

Stephen Kenny’s Republic of Ireland travel to the Baku Olympic Stadium to play Azerbaijan in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier this weekend. Ireland have had a poor campaign on the whole, but Kenny’s boys have managed to draw their last two. Their hopes of reaching Qatar are slim, though the Irish will want a strong finish to Group A. Can Ireland leave Baku with all three points or will they stumble against the relative minnows?

Azerbaijan are rock bottom of Group A after five games played and are already unable to qualify for the tournament proper. Ireland are a point above in fourth and their prospects are hanging by a thread. The pair drew 1-1 at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin last month. Shane Duffy’s goal three minutes from the end rescued a point after Emin Mahmudov’s opener on the stroke of half time. This is likely to be another tight game, so we’ll be backing the draw at odds of 21/10.

9th Oct 2021

19:45 - Andorra v England

England to Win -3 Goals @ 5/6

Gareth Southgate takes his England troops to the Estadi Nacional to face Andorra la Vella in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Saturday night. The English have hardly put a foot wrong in Group I, picking up 16 points from a possible 18. In contrast, minnows Andorra have lost five of their opening six qualifiers. This should be another big win for England and perhaps a chance to introduce one or two new faces to the starting line-up.

In the reverse fixture at Wembley Stadium a month back, a second-string England side cruised to a 4-0 win over the Andorrans, with Jesse Lingard (2), Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka getting the goals. Southgate’s team have already netted 18 times in qualifying so far, and they could get a hatful in Andorra at the weekend. Check out the decent odds of 5/6 for the visitors to win with a -3 goal handicap.

9th Oct 2021

19:45 - Switzerland v Northern Ireland

Switzerland to Win to Nil @ 5/6

On Saturday night, Switzerland and Northern Ireland lock horns at the Stade de Geneve in Geneva for a vital 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier. UEFA Euro 2020 winners Italy lead the way at the top of Group C with 14 points to their name. The Swiss are six points behind but have two games in hand, while Norn Iron are three points adrift of Switzerland. Who will win this huge Group C six-pointer in Geneva?

The hosts are unbeaten in four qualifiers, though their last two have ended in draws. In the game between the pair at Windsor Park last month, Northern Ireland held the Swiss to a goalless draw. However, things are likely to be different at the Stade de Geneve on Saturday night. The Red Crosses have shipped just one goal so far, and we fancy Murat Yakin’s men to win to nil at odds of 5/6.

10th Oct 2021

14:00 - Italy v Belgium

Italy Win @ 11/10

Italy and Belgium meet in the third-place play-off of the 2021 UEFA Nations League on Sunday afternoon. The game will be held at the Juventus Stadium in Turin. Being on home soil, the Italians are the favourites with the bookies, but this one really could go either way. Both teams suffered narrow semi-final defeats to find themselves in the third-place match.

Ferran Torres was the hero of the first semi in the San Siro on Wednesday, scoring twice to help Spain to a 2-1 win. Lorenzo Pellegrini pulled one back for Gli Azzurri late on, but the Spaniards held on for the victory. Belgium were involved in a fascinating tussle with France in Turin on Thursday, as they let a 2-0 lead slip to lose 3-2. This could go either way, but we fancy the hosts to nick it and we’ll be backing Italy to win at odds of 11/10.

10th Oct 2021

19:45 - Spain v France

France Win & BTTS @ 9/2

The 2021 UEFA Nations League final will see Spain and France lock horns on Sunday night at the San Siro. The Spaniards did extremely well to get past the hosts on Wednesday, but the French are the favourites to lift the trophy in Milan. Nevertheless, this promises to be a superb Nations League final between two European powerhouses.

Spain beat Italy in front of 33,000 spectators thanks to a Ferran Torres brace at the San Siro. The Italians pulled one back late on, but Luis Enrique’s men held firm to book their place in the final. France pulled off a stunning comeback in their semi-final to get the better of Belgium in Turin. Goals in the second half from Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappe and Theo Hernandez gave Les Bleus a 3-2 victory. We are backing France in the final, and there is good value in the French win and both teams to score at a nice price of 9/2.

11th Oct 2021

19:45 - Estonia v Wales

Wales Win & BTTS @ 4/1

Rob Page takes Wales to Tallinn to face Estonia in a vital 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Monday night. The Welsh will want second place in Group E, and they are currently level on points with Czech Republic, who have played a game more. This will be Wales’ final away match, as they host Belarus and then Belgium in Cardiff in their final two qualifiers in November.

Estonia caused the Dragons problems at the Cardiff City Stadium last month, holding Wales to a goalless draw in the capital. However, the Estonians have been poor overall, losing three of their other four games. After a hard-fought 2-2 draw in Prague last time out, Wales will be looking for maximum points from this one. Check out the tempting odds of 4/1 for the away victory and both teams to score.

12th Oct 2021

19:45 - England v Hungary

England to Win -2 Goals @ 13/10

England are closing in on qualification to the 2022 FIFA World Cup as Gareth Southgate’s men are four points clear of Albania at the top of Group I as things stand. The Three Lions have won six and drawn one of their seven qualifiers, scoring an impressive total of 23 goals to boot. England will be looking for another easy win when Hungary visit Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night and they shouldn’t have too many troubles on the pitch.

The English cruised to another comfortable qualifying victory at the weekend, thumping Andorra 5-0 at the Estadi Nacional in Andorra la Vella. Ben Chilwell, Bukayo Saka, Tammy Abraham, James Ward-Prowse and Jack Grealish got the goals in the 5-0 romp. England beat Hungary 4-0 in Budapest last month and we wouldn’t be surprised to see a similar scoreline here. As such, we’ll be putting some money on Southgate’s boys to win with a -2 goal handicap at Wembley at a fair price of 13/10.

12th Oct 2021

19:45 - Bulgaria v Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland Win @ 7/4

Northern Ireland make the trip to Sofia to take on Bulgaria in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Tuesday night. Ian Baraclough’s men slipped six points behind Switzerland in the race for second spot in Group C after a 2-0 loss in Geneva at the weekend, pushing qualification to Qatar even further away. However, Norn Iron will be gunning for all three points in Sofia and looking for a favour elsewhere.

Despite the 2-0 scoreline, Northern Ireland played well at the Stade de Geneva on Saturday night. Injury time goals in both halves earned the Swiss a hard-fought 2-0 home win. Northern Ireland are now six points away from second with just three games left to play and a further three behind leaders Italy. Finishing in the top two looks a tall order, but we are backing Baraclough’s boys to get the win at the Vasil Levski National Stadium on Tuesday at odds of 7/4.

12th Oct 2021

19:45 - Republic of Ireland v Qatar

Republic of Ireland to Win -1 Goal @ 2/1

On Tuesday night, Republic of Ireland take on Qatar in an international friendly at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. The Irish have had an awful 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign and although they did pick up an excellent 3-0 away win against Azerbaijan in Baku they won’t be going to Qatar for the tournament. Can Ireland at least build on their victory to beat the World Cup hosts Qatar on Tuesday?

The Republic played well at the Baku Olympic Stadium on Saturday, with Callum Robinson scoring a brace in the 3-0 win. That was Stephen Kenny’s first competitive victory since taking over as Ireland boss. The Boys in Green have improved of late, losing just one of their past seven games. We fancy Kenny’s men to pick up a comfortable victory here and backing the hosts to win with a -1 goal handicap looks a decent option at odds of 2/1.

15th Oct 2021

20:00 - West Brom v Birmingham

West Bromwich Albion HT/FT @ 7/5

The EFL Championship is back this Friday night after the October international break, as West Midlands duo West Bromwich Albion and Birmingham City lock horns at The Hawthorns. After losing for the first time in the league this season before the break, West Brom will be hoping to return to winning ways in this one. Three points would take them to the top before Bournemouth’s game on Saturday and that’s exactly what their fans will be hoping for.

Valerien Ismael has made an excellent start at The Hawthorns, guiding the Baggies to six wins from 11 league matches. West Brom currently sit second on 22 points. Birmingham have made an indifferent start, meanwhile, with Lee Bowyer’s boys winning three, drawing three and losing five of their matches. City have taken just one point from the last 15 on offer. We are backing West Brom to get the points here and there is good value in the odds of 7/5 for the hosts to be winning at half time and full time.

16th Oct 2021

12:30 - Watford v Liverpool

Liverpool HT/FT @ 20/21

The Premier League weekend gets up and running when Watford host Liverpool at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon. Claudio Ranieri is back in English football, replacing the sacked Xisco Munoz at Watford in the latest in a ludicrously long list of managerial changes at the club in the last few years. Ranieri would love to get off to a good start but Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool head to Hertfordshire as the clear favourites with the bookies.

Liverpool lost the top spot in the Premier League before the international break, though the Reds remain the only unbeaten side in the division. Klopp’s boys have picked up four wins and three draws from their opening seven fixtures. As for the Hornets, they find themselves down in 15th with seven points to their name. Liverpool should secure a comfortable victory here, so take a punt on the Merseysiders to be winning at half time and full time at odds of 20/21.

16th Oct 2021

12:30 - Fulham v QPR

Draw & BTTS @ 4/1

In the EFL Championship on Saturday afternoon, west London rivals Fulham and Queens Park Rangers lock horns at Craven Cottage. After a humbling defeat at Coventry City before the international break, the Cottagers will be searching for maximum points against their rivals. Mark Warburton’s men will be no pushovers, though.

Fulham have found it tough going of late, losing three of their last six games in the Championship. Marco Silva’s side have slipped down to fifth as a result. QPR are two points behind Fulham in sixth place, having won five of their opening 11 matches. As you would expect, the home team are the favourites to put three points on the board, but we fancy Rangers to leave Craven Cottage with a precious point. Put some money on the draw and both teams to score at odds of 4/1.

16th Oct 2021

15:00 - Aston Villa v Wolves

Draw @ 9/4

West Midlands rivals Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers square off at Villa Park in the Premier League this Saturday. The Villans have been in fine fettle of late, but Dean Smith’s men were narrowly beaten at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last time out. Can Villa bounce back with a home win over their rivals at the weekend?

In recent weeks, Aston Villa have beaten Everton and Manchester United and have been playing some decent football. They also took in-form Chelsea to penalties in an EFL Cup tie at Stamford Bridge. Bruno Lage has had a tough time at Molineux this term but Wolves have won three of their past four in the league to move up to 12th position in the table. There is not a lot to split these two on paper, so we are backing this all-Midlands affair at Villa Park to end in a draw, which is available to back at odds of 9/4.

16th Oct 2021

15:00 - Leicester v Manchester United

Manchester United Win @ Evens

One of the standout fixtures from the Premier League weekend is the Leicester City versus Manchester United encounter at the King Power Stadium on Saturday. The Foxes have not really got going this season, while the Red Devils have taken just one point from their last two league games. Both clubs could do with maximum points from this one and both will be wary of losing too.

Leicester are without a win in four games in the Premier League and have taken just two points from a possible 12. United were going great guns early doors, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s boys have lost to Aston Villa and drawn with Everton (both at home) in their last two matches in the league. Nevertheless, the Red Devils are on a record-breaking away league run at present and we fancy the visitors to sneak a win at the King Power on Saturday, available at odds of evens.

16th Oct 2021

17:30 - Brentford v Chelsea

Chelsea to Win -1 Goal @ 8/5

Saturday’s late game in the Premier League comes from the Brentford Community Stadium, as Thomas Frank’s Brentford and Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea go head-to-head in a west London derby. The Bees have had a terrific time in the top flight so far, but this will be a stern test against the current Premier League leaders.

Brentford have started life in the Premier League extremely well, collecting an impressive 12 points from seven league games. So far, Frank’s boys have won three, drawn three and lost one of their matches. Chelsea lead the way at the top of the division with five wins, a draw and a defeat from their opening fixtures. Brentford have been outstanding this season but the Blues should be too strong here. There is superb value in the odds of 8/5 for the away team to win with a -1 goal handicap.

17th Oct 2021

12:00 - Swansea v Cardiff

Draw @ 11/5

South Wales rivals Swansea City and Cardiff City clash at the Swansea.com Stadium in EFL Championship action this Sunday afternoon. With the Welsh teams currently in 19th and 20th, both clubs will be gunning for all three points from this derby game. With this one taking place in Swansea, Russell Martin’s men are the slight favourites.

The pressure heaped on Cardiff boss Mick McCarthy after the Bluebirds suffered a fifth successive Championship defeat before the break. Cardiff make the short trip to Swansea having lost seven of their past eight in all competitions. The Swans have also struggled this season, winning just two of their opening 11 league games. This derby could go either way, but we fancy Cardiff to stop the rot by nicking a point at the home of their rivals at a nice price of 11/5.

17th Oct 2021

14:00 - Everton v West Ham

Everton to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

Everton and West Ham United meet at Goodison Park in a tasty game in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. The Toffees have started well under Rafa Benitez, taking 14 points from a possible 21 and currently sit fifth in the table. David Moyes’ West Ham are currently three points behind in ninth place. Which way will this intriguing fixture go this Sunday?

Everton have suffered just one league defeat so far, beating the likes of Southampton, Brighton and Hove Albion, Burnley and Norwich City along the way. Before the break, the Toffees picked up a handy 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. In West Ham’s last fixture, they suffered a surprise home defeat to Brentford, which ended a three-game winning streak in all competitions. This will no doubt be tight, but home advantage could give Everton the edge. Back the hosts to win by one goal at odds of 3/1.

17th Oct 2021

16:30 - Newcastle v Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur Win & BTTS @ 3/1

Nuno Espirito Santo takes his Tottenham Hotspur troops to St James’ Park this Sunday to face Newcastle United. The pressure is on Steve Bruce, as Newcastle have failed to win a game this season. As for Spurs, after three straight league defeats, the win over Aston Villa before the international break was just what the doctor ordered.

Newcastle are second from bottom in the Premier League with just three points to their name as things stand. Tottenham have had a strange league season so far, winning their opening three before three consecutive defeats. Before the break, though, Spurs beat Villa 2-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. We can see something similar unfolding at St James’ this Sunday, so take a punt on the away victory and both teams to score at the solid price of 3/1.

18th Oct 2021

20:00 - Arsenal v Crystal Palace

Arsenal Win @ 3/5

London sides Arsenal and Crystal Palace go head-to-head at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Monday night. Mikel Arteta’s men have recovered well from a poor start and are unbeaten in five league and cup games and will be looking to kick on from that fine run. As for the Eagles, Patrick Vieira’s troops have picked up just one win in all competitions this term and things are already starting to get a little concerning.

Arsenal have finally found some form in the Premier League and have taken 10 points from the last 12 on offer. Before a 0-0 draw at Brighton and Hove Albion before the break, the Gunners had seen off Norwich City, Burnley and rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Palace may have struggled for wins, though Vieira’s side have lost only one of their past six games in the league. The visitors would take a draw here, but Arsenal should nick the points on home soil. The Gunners victory is available at odds of 3/5.

19th Oct 2021

15:30 - Celtic v Ferencvarosi

Draw @ 3/1

On Wednesday afternoon at Celtic Park, Celtic and Ferencvarosi go head-to-head in a UEFA Europa League group game. Both teams have made woeful starts to their European campaigns, but the Bhoys will be hoping to reignite their knockout hopes with a home win in midweek. Ange Postecoglou’s troops are the odds-on favourites with the bookies.

Celtic were on the wrong end of a seven-goal thriller against Real Betis in game one, falling to a narrow 4-3 defeat in Spain. However, they were outclassed in their second Group G game, with Bayer Leverkusen running out deserved 4-0 winners at Celtic Park. Ferencvarosi have lost 2-1 to Leverkusen and 3-1 to Betis in their games. One of these can reinvigorate their Europa League campaign with a win, but we fancy the duo to play out a draw in Glasgow which can be backed at odds of 3/1.

19th Oct 2021

19:45 - Stoke v Bournemouth

Stoke City Win @ 15/8

We have a full fixture list in the EFL Championship to look forward to in midweek, and the Stoke City versus Bournemouth match at the bet365 Stadium on Tuesday is one of the standout games. Scott Parker has made an excellent start to life at the Vitality Stadium, but this will be one of his toughest challenges yet.

Stoke have been sensational on their own patch this season, winning seven and drawing one of eight league and cup matches at the bet365. Michael O’Neill’s men have dropped just two points in the league on home soil. Bournemouth have been hard to beat on the road, but Parker’s men could find it difficult in the Potteries on Tuesday night. It might be close on the scoreline, but we fancy Stoke to nick the home win at a price of 15/8.

19th Oct 2021

20:00 - Club Brugge v Manchester City

Manchester City to Win Both Halves @ 7/4

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City travel to Belgium this Tuesday to face Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League. After losing to Paris Saint-Germain in their previous European fixture, the Premier League champions will be looking for no less than three points in Bruges in midweek. As you would expect, Man City are the overwhelming favourites in this one with the bookmakers.

City’s Champions League campaign started with a nine-goal thriller against RB Leipzig on 15th September. The German outfit caused problems at the Etihad Stadium, but Pep’s boys ran out emphatic 6-3 winners in the end. City played well but lost 2-0 to PSG in the French capital on matchday two. The English champions should bounce back with a comfortable win in Belgium on Tuesday – check out the decent odds of 7/4 for the visitors to win both halves.

19th Oct 2021

20:00 - Atletico Madrid v Liverpool

Liverpool to Win by One Goal @ 11/4

The standout group game from the midweek UEFA Champions League action has to be the blockbuster showdown at the Wanda Metropolitano between Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. The Spanish champions have kicked off with four points from two games, while the Reds are top of Group B after two wins. Which way will this huge European fixture go?

After being held to a 0-0 draw at home by Porto in game one, Atleti picked up a hard-fought 2-1 win over AC Milan in Italy in their last Champions League encounter. As for Liverpool, they edged past Milan at Anfield before thumping Porto 5-1 away from home. These two heavyweights look tough to split on paper, but we fancy Klopp’s men to just about nick it in Madrid. As such we’ll be taking a punt on Liverpool to win by one goal at odds of 11/4.

20th Oct 2021

15:30 - Spartak Moscow v Leicester

Draw @ 13/5

Brendan Rodgers takes his Leicester City side to the Otkritie Arena in Moscow on Wednesday to face Spartak Moscow in a UEFA Europa League Group C encounter. The Foxes have plenty of work to do after taking just one point from their opening two Europa League matches. Leicester are bottom of the group and already five points behind leaders Legia Warsaw so they really need victory in this one.

Spartak were narrowly beaten by Legia in their opener, but Rui Vitoria’s troops bounced back with a stunning 3-2 win against Napoli in Naples in game two. Leicester let a 2-0 lead slip to draw with Napoli at the King Power Stadium before losing 1-0 in Warsaw last time out in Group C. Rodgers’ men, who beat Manchester United at the weekend, could do with maximum points, but we fancy Moscow to hold them to a draw at odds of 13/5.

20th Oct 2021

19:45 - Fulham v Cardiff

Fulham to Win -1 Goal @ 11/8

Fulham entertain Cardiff City at Craven Cottage in the EFL Championship on Wednesday night. Marco Silva’s Cottagers are back on track after a convincing 4-1 win over west London rivals Queens Park Rangers on Saturday. As for Mick McCarthy’s Bluebirds, they head to the English capital having lost six Championship games on the spin.

Fulham fired themselves into third after the big win over QPR in midweek. Silva’s side are just five points adrift of the top. Cardiff’s miserable form continued as they were beaten 3-0 by rivals Swansea City in the South Wales derby. The pressure is mounting on boss McCarthy, with the Welsh side losing eight of their previous nine league and cup matches. This should be an easy home victory, and you can get 11/8 for the hosts to win with a -1 goal handicap.

20th Oct 2021

19:45 - Swansea v West Brom

Draw & BTTS @ 7/2

Russell Martin’s Swansea City and Valerien Ismael’s West Bromwich Albion lock horns at the Swansea.com Stadium on Wednesday night. The Swans will still be buzzing from their weekend South Wales derby success, while the Baggies are sitting pretty in second spot in the EFL Championship table. This promises to be an intriguing game in Wales and one that could easily go either way.

Martin has had a tough time in Swansea since taking over, but Sunday’s 3-0 victory over rivals Cardiff City was certainly a highlight. West Brom bounced back from the Stoke City defeat with a 1-0 victory over Birmingham City last Friday night. The Swans have been solid at home this season, losing only once, and we are backing City to hold the Baggies to a draw at the Swansea.com Stadium. As such, we’ll be putting some money on the draw and both teams to score at a decent price of 7/2.

20th Oct 2021

20:00 - Manchester United v Atalanta

Manchester United to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

In the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night, Manchester United welcome Atalanta to Old Trafford. The Red Devils have had problems in the Premier League of late, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s boys will want to forget their domestic disappointments by claiming a huge three points in Europe in midweek. United are the odds-on favourites to get the job done on home soil and they will be confident of getting the result.

Man United left it late to edge past Villarreal at Old Trafford in their last Champions League match, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring an injury-time winner. So far, Ole’s boys have taken three points from a possible six in Group F. Atalanta lead the way after a draw with Villarreal and a home win over Young Boys. This will be a tough game for Man United, but we can see them nicking a narrow win. Back the hosts to win by one goal at odds of 3/1.

20th Oct 2021

20:00 - Chelsea v Malmo

Chelsea HT/FT @ 2/5

Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea are back in UEFA Champions League action in midweek. On Wednesday evening, the current European champions welcome Jon Dahl Tomasson’s Malmo to Stamford Bridge for a Group H encounter. After suffering a narrow loss in Turin three weeks ago, the Premier League leaders will be looking for all three points from this one.

Chelsea started the defence of their crown with a 1-0 home win over Zenit Saint Petersburg last month. They were then beaten by the same scoreline at the Juventus Stadium on matchday two. Malmo have lost both of their opening two Group H fixtures, scoring none and conceding seven. Tuchel’s troops should bounce back from the Juventus defeat and secure a comfortable home victory in this one. You can get odds of 2/5 for Chelsea to be winning at half time and full time which isn’t going to give a massive return but could be a great addition to an acca.

21st Oct 2021

17:45 - Vitesse v Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur to Win -1 Goal @ 7/4

Tottenham Hotspur are back on the road in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday night, as the Premier League outfit travel to Holland to face Vitesse in Group G. Spurs are joint top with Rennes at present, with both teams taking four points from a possible six. After a big win over Mura in their previous European game, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will be looking for another three points here.

Vitesse won at Mura in game one before narrowly losing to Rennes on matchday two. Tottenham were held to a draw in France in their first ever Europa Conference League game. They hit back with a thumping 5-1 victory over Mura, with Harry Kane netting a treble. The Londoners will be looking for their fourth straight league and cup victory, and we like the look of Tottenham to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 7/4.

21st Oct 2021

20:00 - Rangers v Brondby

Rangers Win & BTTS @ 9/2

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers entertain Niels Frederiksen’s Brondby this Thursday in a huge UEFA Europa League match. The Gers are bottom of Group A after suffering back-to-back defeats, while their Danish opponents have taken one point from a possible six. With Lyon on six and Sparta Prague on four, the Scottish champions could do with maximum points from this home fixture or it could be curtains for their European adventure for another season.

Rangers’ Europa League campaign started with a 2-0 home defeat to Lyon in mid-September. Two weeks later, the Glasgow giants were beaten 1-0 by Prague at the Stadion Letna. Brondby held Sparta to a draw in game one before losing 3-0 in France. Rangers will want all three points, but we can see the pair playing out a draw at Ibrox. You can get odds of 9/2 for the draw and both teams to score.

21st Oct 2021

20:00 - West Ham v Genk

West Ham United to Win 2-0 @ 13/2

West Ham United will take a giant leap towards the UEFA Europa League knockout rounds with a win over Genk at the London Stadium on Thursday night. The Irons have started their European campaign in fine fettle, beating both Dinamo Zagreb and Rapid Vienna by two goals to nil. Can they move on to nine points in Group H in midweek?

After a superb 1-0 Premier League win at Everton at the weekend, David Moyes’ men have now won four of their past five league and cup matches. They have been excellent in the Europa League until now, beating Zagreb and Vienna 2-0. A repeat result on Thursday would put them on to nine points in Group H. We think it will be a solid victory for the home side and we’ll be having a punt on the Hammers to win 2-0 at odds of 13/2.

22nd Oct 2021

20:00 - Arsenal v Aston Villa

Arsenal Win & BTTS @ 11/4

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Dean Smith’s Aston Villa go head-to-head at the Emirates Stadium this Friday night in the Premier League. Since the embarrassing 5-0 loss at Manchester City in late August, the Gunners have gone six games unbeaten in all competitions (four wins and two draws). As for Villa, they have lost their last two in the Premier League and will be doing all they can to turn their fortunes around.

Arsenal left it late to rescue a point against Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace on Monday, with Alexandre Lacazette scoring an injury-time equaliser. Villa conceded three goals in the last 10 minutes to lose 3-2 at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers in their last outing. The Villans have won their last three matches against Arsenal, but we fancy the in-form Londoners to get the points here. There is good value in the odds of 11/4 for the home win and both teams to score.

23rd Oct 2021

12:30 - Chelsea v Norwich

Chelsea to Win Both Halves @ 5/4

Saturday’s early kick off in the Premier League will see leaders Chelsea entertain bottom club Norwich City at Stamford Bridge. These two teams are already 17 points apart in the table, and the Blues are the overwhelming favourites on home soil. Victory for Chelsea will keep them at the summit for at least another week and this is certainly not the game Norwich would want as they continue to search for their first Premier League win.

Thomas Tuchel’s men have made a fine start to their league season. The London side have picked up six wins from their opening eight Premier League fixtures, scoring 16 times to boot. In contrast, Daniel Farke’s Norwich have struggled so far, drawing two and losing six. The Canaries are rooted to the foot of the table on just two points. Although Chelsea have some injury issues up front, they have the depth of squad to deal with them. As such, this should be an easy victory for the hosts, so back the Blues to win both halves at nice odds of 5/4.

23rd Oct 2021

12:30 - Cardiff v Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough Win @ 2/1

This is a battle between two hugely experienced Championship managers as Cardiff City and Middlesbrough lock horns at the Cardiff City Stadium this Saturday in EFL Championship action. The pressure is piling on Mick McCarthy, as his Bluebirds have lost seven in a row in the Championship. Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough, who have won three of their last four, will be hoping to take advantage of Cardiff’s woeful run.

The Welsh club have been in miserable form over the past couple of months or so, losing nine of their last 10 in all competitions. Middlesbrough have had a mixed bag of results so far, but Boro head to South Wales having won two in a row and three of their previous four. Cardiff will be desperate to stop the rot, but we fancy Warnock’s Middlesbrough to get the points. The away victory is available at nice odds of 2/1.

23rd Oct 2021

15:00 - Leeds v Wolves

Wolves Win & BTTS @ 9/2

Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United and Bruno Lage’s Wolverhampton Wanderers go head-to-head at Elland Road in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon. United have had a disappointing season so far, winning just one of their opening eight Premier League fixtures. They have a lot of injuries to key players and their small squad is struggling to cope. Wolves have shown a big improvement of late, picking up three league victories on the spin.

Leeds’ season has yet to really take off, as the Whites hover just above the relegation zone on six points. Wanderers lost four of their opening five Premier League matches under Lage, but they have finally found some form. Since losing at home to Brentford, the Midlands side have seen off Southampton, Newcastle United and Aston Villa. The hosts should welcome back at least some of their stars for this one but even so, we fancy Wolves to make it four victories on the spin at the weekend. Back the away win and both teams to score (9/2).

23rd Oct 2021

17:30 - Brighton v Manchester City

Manchester City to Win -1 Goal @ 11/10

In-form Brighton & Hove Albion take on champions Manchester City at the Amex Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening. The Seagulls sit fourth and have been the surprise package in the top flight so far this term, but this will be their toughest challenge yet. City head to East Sussex as the big favourites with the bookies and it is very hard to see past them after their impressive performance in midweek in the Champions League.

Brighton have been brilliant so far, winning four, drawing three and losing one of their opening eight league fixtures. However, they head into this one having drawn three in a row. Since losing at Tottenham Hotspur on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, Man City have gone on to win eight of their following 11 across all competitions. We fancy the champions to seal a comfortable away victory here – back the visitors to win -1 (11/10).

24th Oct 2021

12:30 - Barnsley v Sheffield United

Sheffield United to Win by One Goal @ 11/4

On Sunday afternoon in the EFL Championship, South Yorkshire rivals Barnsley and Sheffield United do battle at Oakwell. The Tykes finished in fifth and took a play-off spot last season but have made a woeful start to this campaign, currently sitting in 23rd place on just eight points. This really is a must-win game for Markus Schopp.

Sheffield United, who dropped down from the Premier League last term, have also had a difficult start to their season. Slavisa Jokanovic has guided the Blades to just four wins from their opening 13 matches. The pair suffered defeats in midweek, so both teams will be desperate to bounce back with maximum points here. We fancy the away team to nick it at Oakwell, and we like the look of 11/4 for Sheffield United to win by one goal.

24th Oct 2021

14:00 - Brentford v Leicester

Draw & Under 2.5 Goals @ 10/3

Brentford and Leicester City do battle in an intriguing Premier League fixture at the Brentford Community Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Bees have made an excellent start to life in the top tier and are currently a point above the Foxes in the table. They have looked very much at home in the PL and if anything could have taken more points than they have. Can Thomas Frank’s men make home advantage count and secure another impressive win?

Brentford suffered a rare defeat last time out, losing 1-0 at home to rivals Chelsea. No disgrace in that though, not least because they deserved at least a point and probably all three. Leicester have had a fine week, beating Manchester United 4-2 at the King Power Stadium and then winning 4-3 in Moscow in the UEFA Europa League. Brendan Rodgers’ side are starting to look like their former selves, but we fancy in-form Brentford to hold them to a draw in this one. Check out the draw and under 2.5 goals at the really big price of 10/3.

24th Oct 2021

14:00 - West Ham v Tottenham

Draw & BTTS @ 10/3

We have a big London derby to enjoy next as West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur meet at the London Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday. Spurs have moved up to fifth after an improved run of results of late, while the Hammers are just a point behind in seventh. West Ham are the slight favourites on home turf, but this London derby could go either way.

After the disappointing home defeat to Brentford, David Moyes’ men struck back with an excellent victory at Everton last weekend. Tottenham have responded well after suffering three successive league defeats, seeing off Aston Villa and Newcastle United in their last two. These two London rivals look hard to split on paper these days, so our money is again going on the stalemate. West Ham are always good for a goal and Spurs should be too so the draw and both teams to score is nicely priced at big odds of 10/3.

24th Oct 2021

16:30 - Manchester United v Liverpool

Liverpool Win @ 23/20

The standout fixture of the Premier League weekend will be Sunday’s showdown at Old Trafford between bitter rivals Manchester United and Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are the only unbeaten side left in the Premier League this term, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils head into this huge derby match having taken just one point from the last nine on offer. Many United fans would have feared this game at around 9pm on Wednesday night but then their side came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 in the Champions League and that puts a different complexion on things.

Liverpool have looked solid so far this season, with Klopp’s men winning five and drawing three of their opening eight league fixtures. The Merseysiders sit second, one point behind leaders Chelsea. United, who lost their unbeaten away record at Leicester City last weekend, currently occupy sixth. Games between these two rivals are often fascinating affairs, and Sunday’s promises to be another memorable one. It could go either way, but with United hit and miss all too often, we fancy Liverpool to nick it (23/20).

26th Oct 2021

19:45 - Arsenal v Leeds

Arsenal to Win -1 Goal @ 6/4

Arsenal and Leeds United go head-to-head at the Emirates Stadium this Tuesday in the Round of 16 of the Carabao Cup. The Gunners have been in excellent form of late, winning five and drawing two of their last seven in all competitions. In contrast, Leeds have picked up just three league and cup victories this season as injuries have taken their toll on what was a very small squad to start with. With both managers set to rotate, we have to fancy Arsenal given their far greater squad depth and it should be an easy night on home soil.

Mikel Arteta’s men have responded superbly well after a woeful start and are now unbeaten in seven in all competitions. In the EFL Cup, the Londoners walloped West Bromwich Albion 6-0 at The Hawthorns before cruising to a 3-0 home victory over Wimbledon. We fancy the Gunners to make home advantage count and book their place in the last eight with a comfortable victory at the Emirates this Tuesday. With Leeds sure to feature a number of very inexperienced players, check out the solid odds of 6/4 for Arsenal to win -1.

26th Oct 2021

19:45 - Chelsea v Southampton

Chelsea HT/FT @ 11/10

Premier League leaders Chelsea are in Carabao Cup action this Wednesday when Southampton visit Stamford Bridge. The Blues are top of the Premier League table and have looked the real deal under Thomas Tuchel this season and are the heavy favourites to win this one. When these two met in the league at the Bridge earlier in the month, Chelsea ran out 3-1 winners.

Tuchel’s troops head into this Round of 16 tie having won four in a row in all competitions. They cemented their place at the top of the Premier League table last weekend with a thumping 7-0 home victory over Norwich City. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men have been beaten just three times this term, but Chelsea should cruise to a fifth successive victory on Tuesday. Put some money on the home team to be winning at half time and full time at nice looking odds of 11/10.

26th Oct 2021

19:45 - QPR v Sunderland

Sunderland to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

EFL Championship side Queens Park Rangers welcome EFL League One outfit Sunderland to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium this Tuesday for a Round of 16 tie in the Carabao Cup. QPR are currently seventh in the second tier, while the Black Cats sit fourth in League One. This one could go either way in West London and gives both of these lesser lights the chance to set up a huge quarter final tie.

Rangers beat Premier League Everton in the last round, winning 8-7 on penalties after a 2-2 draw. They saw off Leyton Orient and Oxford United in the previous rounds. As for Sunderland, they have won at Port Vale, Blackpool and Wigan Athletic so far. QPR may be a league above, but we fancy Sunderland to bounce back from their weekend loss to Charlton Athletic by edging past the Hoops in the cup. The away team to win by exactly one goal is available at the lengthy odds of 3/1.

27th Oct 2021

19:45 - Preston v Liverpool

Liverpool to Win Both Halves @ 7/4

Jurgen Klopp’s in-form Liverpool make the trip to Deepdale this Wednesday to take on EFL Championship side Preston North End in the Round of 16 of the Carabao Cup. The Reds have been in sensational form at the start of this season, unbeaten after 13 league and cup games. Klopp hasn’t had a great record in the domestic cups with the Reds and will make plenty of changes here so on home soil Preston may just have a chance of an upset. Of course, Liverpool are huge favourites and will expect to extend their fine run and book their place in the last eight of the EFL Cup.

Preston have been tough to beat lately, losing only two of their past 13 in all competitions. However, Frankie McAvoy’s men were beaten at Blackpool in the league last time out. As for Liverpool, they thumped rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford, with Mohamed Salah netting a hat-trick in the 5-0 romp. Klopp will chop and change his team for this one, but the Reds have the strength in depth to deal with that and should ease past Preston on Wednesday. Take a punt on the visitors to win both halves (7/4).

27th Oct 2021

19:45 - Stoke v Brentford

Brentford Win @ 13/10

Stoke City and Brentford go head-to-head in an intriguing Carabao Cup Round of 16 tie at the bet365 Stadium on Wednesday night. The Bees are dark horses for this competition and have made an excellent start to life in the Premier League, though they have now lost two on the spin. Can Thomas Frank’s men get back to winning ways in the cup in midweek and progress to the last eight?

Brentford have eased past Forest Green Rovers and Oldham Athletic to book their spot in the last 16. As for Michael O’Neill’s Stoke, they have seen off Fleetwood Town, Doncaster Rovers and Watford so far. Despite losing to Bournemouth in their last one, the Potters have been pretty faultless at home this season, winning seven of nine. However, Brentford are unbeaten on the road, and we fancy the Premier League club to sneak a win at the bet365 (13/10).

27th Oct 2021

19:45 - West Ham v Manchester City

Manchester City Win & BTTS @ 21/10

Two form Premier League sides meet in the Carabao Cup at the London Stadium on Wednesday, as West Ham United entertain Manchester City. Pep Guardiola has a stunning record in this competition since taking over at the Etihad Stadium, and the Citizens are the favourites to lift the trophy once again. That would be five in a row and seven League Cup wins since 2014, both hard-to-believe stats. However, getting past an in-form West Ham outfit away from home will not be an easy task for the champions.

David Moyes’ Hammers have made a superb start to their season. After 13 league and cup games, the Irons have won nine, drawn two and lost two. They are going well in the Europa League and if they can get past City will fancy their chances of going all the way in this competition. However, since losing to Tottenham Hotspur on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, Man City have won nine of their following 12 in all competitions. West Ham will have a real go, but we fancy the holders to prevail. Back the City win and both teams to score at 21/10.

27th Oct 2021

19:45 - Leicester v Brighton

Leicester City HT/FT @ 11/5

Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City and Graham Potter’s Brighton & Hove Albion meet at the King Power Stadium in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night. This Round of 16 encounter could go either way, though the home team are the favourites at evens. Will the Foxes claim a fourth consecutive victory in midweek?

Leicester have turned a corner of late, seeing off Manchester United, Spartak Moscow and Brentford in their last three. Rodgers’ side have lost just one of their past seven. Brighton have started their season in fine fashion, but the Seagulls have not won since beating EFL Championship outfit Swansea City in the previous round of the EFL Cup over a month ago. Leicester should make home advantage count, and you can get big odds of 11/5 for the hosts to be winning at half time and full time.

29th Oct 2021

19:45 - QPR v Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest Win @ 12/5

The football weekend starts early as Queens Park Rangers and Nottingham Forest meet in the EFL Championship at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium this Friday night. QPR currently occupy seventh place in the table, while Forest are down in 15th. Both clubs will be hoping to bounce back from league defeats last weekend. Rangers are the bookies’ favourites on home soil but at the prices we think the value lies elsewhere.

QPR have made an excellent start, but Mark Warburton’s men have lost two of their last three in the Championship. As for Nottingham Forest, their impressive unbeaten run under new boss Steve Cooper came to an end last Sunday, as the Reds were thumped 4-0 at home by Fulham. Still, Forest had won four in a row before last weekend’s reverse, Fulham are a cut above Rangers, and we fancy Cooper’s boys to get back to winning ways here. The away victory is nicely priced at odds of 12/5 and with the home side far too short, that is the call here.

30th Oct 2021

12:30 - Leicester v Arsenal

Draw & BTTS @ 10/3

The Premier League weekend gets up and running on Saturday afternoon when Leicester City welcome Arsenal to the King Power Stadium. Both teams stuttered at the start of the campaign but are now in fine fettle ahead of this intriguing clash, but who will get the points in the Midlands? The bookies are having a hard time splitting the Foxes and the Gunners … and so are we.

Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester are unbeaten in four in the Premier League. After draws with Burnley and Crystal Palace, City beat Manchester United 4-2 and Brentford 2-1 in their last two. Arsenal are in superb shape at present, winning six and drawing two of their last eight in all competitions. Mikel Arteta’s men have suffered just one defeat in the last 10 and look to have a better balance at the moment. We fancy the pair to cancel each other out here in what should be an entertaining game, so back the draw and both teams to score at very nice odds of 10/3.

30th Oct 2021

12:30 - Fulham v West Brom

Fulham Win @ Evens

Some would argue the day’s biggest game is actually in the second tier as two heavyweights clash in the EFL Championship on Saturday afternoon. Marco Silva’s Fulham entertain Valerien Ismael’s West Bromwich Albion at Craven Cottage. The Cottagers are in second spot at present, a place and a point above the Baggies. With both teams looking for an instant return to the Premier League, this is a huge game in the capital.

Fulham are well and truly back on track after three wins on the spin. The Cottagers have eased to victories over Queens Park Rangers, Cardiff City and Nottingham Forest in the last fortnight. West Brom picked up a comfortable 3-0 home victory over Bristol City last time out, which was a welcome result after two defeats in three. This is a tough one to call, but home advantage could give Fulham the slight edge (evens).

30th Oct 2021

15:00 - Liverpool v Brighton

Liverpool to Win to Nil @ 21/20

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool host Graham Potter’s Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon. The Reds are the only unbeaten side left in the league, picking up six wins and three draws and beginning to look much more like the team that swept to the league title a couple of years ago. The Seagulls started well and are sitting pretty in fifth, though they have not won in four in the league and sometimes struggle to turn possession into goals.

Scoring has not been a problem for Klopp and co and Liverpool romped to a memorable 5-0 victory against rivals Manchester United last weekend. The Merseyside outfit ran riot at Old Trafford, with the imperious Mohamed Salah scoring a hat-trick. The Reds have won their last two in the league by a 5-0 scoreline and with Salah in this form they look very hard to stop. Brighton have started in strong style, but we fancy Liverpool to cruise to another three points in this one. Have a punt on the hosts to win to nil again (21/20).

30th Oct 2021

15:00 - Manchester City v Crystal Palace

Manchester City to Win -2 Goals @ 13/10

Manchester City take on Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League this Saturday afternoon. Pep Guardiola’s men are in excellent form, unbeaten in the league since an opening weekend defeat to Tottenham Hotspur and like Liverpool and Chelsea they are looking incredibly hard to stop at the moment. As for Patrick Vieira, who returns to the club where he ended his playing career, he will hope his Palace side can somehow cause a major upset. They have played well at times but they have drawn four on the spin and have picked up just one Premier League win.

Man City have almost been faultless at home this season. Pep’s boys have played five league and cup matches at the Etihad, picking up five wins and drawing once. The Eagles have been tough to beat under Vieira, but just the one win from their opening nine league matches will concern the new Palace boss. This should be an easy home victory for the champions, and there is good value in odds of 13/10 for Man City to win -2.

30th Oct 2021

15:00 - Newcastle v Chelsea

Chelsea to Win to Nil @ 6/5

Premier League Chelsea take on struggling Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Saturday. The Magpies have new owners but they are still managerless at the time of writing after Steve Bruce’s departure. The Blues will be hoping to take advantage and secure their eighth Premier League victory of the season. As you would expect, Chelsea are the red-hot favourites and we fully expect them to cement their place at the top of the table.

Newcastle have had a miserable season up until now, failing to win any of their opening 10 games in all competitions, losing six and drawing four. In contrast, Chelsea have been in stunning form this season, picking up 12 wins from their opening 15 league and cup matches. Last weekend, the leaders thumped Norwich City 7-0 at Stamford Bridge. Thomas Tuchel’s men have won without conceding at Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford this term so back the Blues to win to nil here at the solid price of 6/5.

30th Oct 2021

17:30 - Tottenham v Manchester United

Draw @ 13/5

On Saturday evening in the Premier League, Nuno Espirito Santo’s Tottenham Hotspur and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United meet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Both sides had games to forget last weekend, as Spurs lost at West Ham United, while United were thumped by rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford. Who can dust themselves down and secure a massive three points this Saturday in what is probably the biggest clash of the weekend?

Nuno has had a tough time in north London since arriving from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer, with Tottenham already suffering four Premier League defeats. Ole is hanging by a thread after Man United’s embarrassing 5-0 home reverse to Liverpool last time out. Both clubs will be desperate for the points in the capital, but we can see the struggling sides cancelling each other out. You can get the draw at 13/5.

30th Oct 2021

20:00 - Reading v Bournemouth

Bournemouth to Win -1 Goal @ 21/10

EFL Championship leaders Bournemouth are in action on Saturday night, as Scott Parker takes his in-form Cherries to the Select Car Leasing Stadium to face Veljko Paunovic’s Reading. Bournemouth have been superb so far, winning 10 and drawing four of their opening 14. Can they move on to 37 points already with a win this weekend?

Reading have had topsy-turvy season up until now, winning six, losing seven and drawing one. The Royals have won two and lost three of their last five. Bournemouth have made a stunning start under new boss Parker. Since draws with Blackpool and Hull City in August, the Dorset club have dropped just two points. We are backing the leaders to pick up another comfortable victory here – take a punt on the away team to win -1 at best odds of 21/10.

31st Oct 2021

14:00 - Norwich v Leeds

Leeds United to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

Sunday’s early game from the Premier League is a crucial one, as Norwich City entertain Leeds United in a basement battle at Carrow Road. The Canaries have endured a tough time on their Premier League return, failing to win any of their opening nine matches. They have become a real yo-yo side of late but any hopes they might have learnt from recent PL relegations have proved unfounded. More surprisingly, Leeds have also struggled so far, picking up just one victory, though they have had a large number of injuries to contend with.

Norwich fell to an embarrassing defeat at Chelsea last weekend, with Mason Mount netting a hat-trick in a 7-0 victory for the Blues. Prior to that, City seemed on the up, managing draws with Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion. Leeds have found it tough going up until now, though Marcelo Bielsa’s boys have taken four points from their last three. This could be close, but we fancy United to sneak a win at Carrow Road. Back Leeds to win by one at odds of 3/1.

31st Oct 2021

16:30 - Aston Villa v West Ham

West Ham United to Win to Nil @ 15/4

On Sunday afternoon, David Moyes takes his in-form West Ham United side to Villa Park to face Dean Smith’s unpredictable Aston Villa. The Hammers, who are in the UEFA Champions League spots, have been superb so far, winning five of their opening nine. Last time out they also ditched Man City out of the League Cup so morale will be sky high right now. As for the Villans, they are in 13th on 10 points. Who will come out on top in this fascinating fixture at Villa Park?

Aston Villa have been inconsistent lately, losing three on the spin since an excellent win at Old Trafford. The Irons beat rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the London Stadium last weekend, with Michail Antonio hitting the only goal. West Ham have kept clean sheets in their last two league victories, plus that EFL win over City, and the Londoners are available at the decent price of 15/4 to win to nil at Villa Park.

1st Nov 2021

20:00 - Wolverhampton Wanderers v Everton

Wolverhampton Wanderers Win & BTTS @ 7/2

Bruno Lage’s Wolverhampton Wanderers and Rafa Benitez’s Everton meet at Molineux on Monday in the Premier League. After a slow start, Lage has finally found his feet at Wolves, with the Midlands club unbeaten in four in the league. In contrast, the Toffees have hit a rough patch of form, taking just one point from the last nine on offer after a strong start to the campaign had them challenging for the top four.

Wolves have been in superb form over the past month. Before a 1-1 draw at Leeds United last time out, Wanderers sealed successive wins over Southampton, Newcastle United and Aston Villa. Everton were embarrassed by Watford last weekend, crashing to a 5-2 home loss despite leading the game with less than 20 minutes to go. Unfortunately for the Merseysiders, we fancy the home team in this one. Everton are struggling with some key injuries and are also short on confidence. You can get the tempting price of 7/2 for the Wolves win and both teams to score.
