Football Tips – March 2022

4th Mar 2022

19:45 - Huddersfield v Peterborough

Huddersfield Town HT/FT @ 7/5

Carlos Corberan’s impressive Huddersfield Town and Grant McCann’s Peterborough United square off at the John Smith’s Stadium in EFL Championship action this Friday night. The Terriers are having a tremendous season under former Leeds deputy Corberan, and three points on Friday will take them into second before the others play. In contrast, Posh are bottom of the table with a mere 21 points to their name. They pushed Man City hard for a long time in midweek and their fans will be desperate for more of the same effort here.

Huddersfield are on a staggering 17-game unbeaten run across all competitions. Since a 2-1 home league reverse to Middlesbrough in November, the West Yorkshire club have gone on to win 10 and draw seven. Peterborough have picked up just one Championship win since October. Town should secure a fourth straight victory with ease, and we like the look of big odds of 7/5 for the hosts to be winning at half time and full time.

4th Mar 2022

19:45 - Sheffield United v Nottingham Forest

Draw & BTTS @ 15/4

Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest go head-to-head in a mouth-watering EFL Championship fixture at Bramall Lane on Friday night. The pair are pushing for a play-off spot, with the Blades currently in seventh, and Forest two points behind in ninth. There is still a lot to play for in the second tier and these two are right in the mix. This cracking Championship contest could go either way in the Steel City but on balance we favour a stalemate, albeit an entertaining one.

Paul Heckingbottom has done a superb job at Bramall Lane since taking over, but United will be looking to get back to winning ways after last weekend’s narrow loss at Millwall. Steve Cooper’s Forest picked up a vital 2-0 win over Bristol City last time out after two draws on the spin. This is a tough one to call between two form sides, so our money is going on the stalemate. Both have goals in them though and both really need a win, so have a punt on the draw and both teams to score at the really nice price of 15/4.

5th Mar 2022

12:30 - Leicester v Leeds

Leicester City to Win -1 Goal @ 15/8

Leicester City and Leeds United get the Premier League weekend up and running with a fixture at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Though the majority of fans might not like it, life after Marcelo Bielsa starts for Leeds, with Jesse Marsch taking over at Elland Road. Can the American get off to a flying start, or will United’s miserable form continue? Changes to tactics have been promised, whilst maintaining the energy and high press, but can the American coach get his ideas over in just a few days?

Leicester have picked up of late, as the Foxes have secured three wins from their past four league and cup fixtures. Last time out, James Maddison and Jamie Vardy were on target in a 2-0 victory at Turf Moor. Leeds have lost five of their last six in the Premier League, conceding a staggering 21 goals in the process. Unfortunately for the Yorkshire side, we fancy Leicester in this one – put some money on the hosts to win -1 at fair odds of 15/8.

5th Mar 2022

12:30 - Fulham v Blackburn

Fulham to Win to Nil @ 6/4

Fulham and Blackburn Rovers go head-to-head at Craven Cottage in Saturday’s early kick off in the EFL Championship. Marco Silva’s side start the weekend nine points clear at the top of the table, while Tony Mowbray’s boys are in fourth. The Cottagers have been flying of late, and another three points on Saturday will take them a step closer to promotion to the Premier League.

Fulham have been sensational in 2022, winning eight of 10 league games. After the recent shock home loss to Huddersfield Town, Silva’s troops have bounced back with hard-fought wins over Peterborough United and Cardiff City. Just a few more weeks of good form should be enough to see them make an instant return to the top flight but Silva will not let complacency creep in. Blackburn ended their winless run in their last game, but we fancy a comfortable Fulham victory here. The Londoners won 7-0 in the reverse fixture, and you can get 6/4 for the leaders to win to nil again.

5th Mar 2022

15:00 - Burnley v Chelsea

Chelsea HT/FT @ 13/10

Sean Dyche’s Burnley and Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea square off at Turf Moor in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon. After last weekend’s penalty shootout loss to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final, the Blues edged past EFL Championship side Luton Town in the FA Cup in midweek. They were twice behind but delivered the goods in the end to win 3-2. Can Tuchel’s side pick up three points in the Premier League on Saturday?

Burnley have improved of late, winning two of their last four. However, after taking seven points from three games, the Clarets fell to a disappointing home reverse to Leicester City on Tuesday. Chelsea have won their last two in the league, and the European champions will fancy their chances of making it three in a row at Turf Moor. There is good value in 13/10 for the away team to be winning at half time and full time against an opponent who should be outclassed.

5th Mar 2022

17:30 - Liverpool v West Ham

Liverpool Win & BTTS @ 7/4

Liverpool and West Ham United meet in a tasty Premier League fixture at Anfield this Saturday evening. The Reds are on a stunning run of results at present, winning every league and cup game since a 0-0 Carabao Cup draw with Arsenal in January (if we include their eventual win on penalties against Chelsea in the final of that competition). The Hammers are in fine fettle themselves, but the hosts are the clear favourites in this one and on home soil look almost unbeatable right now.

West Ham stunned Liverpool in the reverse fixture at the London Stadium Back in November, securing a memorable 3-2 win. However, the Merseysiders have suffered just one defeat across all competitions since then. Liverpool are flying right now, and we can see Klopp’s boys adding another three points to their tally on Saturday. Take a punt on the home win and both teams to score, which is available at the decent price of 7/4 and should land in an entertaining game between two attacking sides.

6th Mar 2022

14:00 - Watford v Arsenal

Arsenal HT/FT @ 6/4

Mikel Arteta takes his in-form Arsenal side to Vicarage Road this Sunday to face Roy Hodgson’s struggling Watford. The Gunners are currently in sixth, two points behind fourth-place Manchester United with three games in hand. They started slowly but now a top four finish looks well within their reach and Arteta is starting to win over his doubters. The Londoners will be desperate to break back into the UEFA Champions League spots this season – can they pick up a big three points on the road this weekend?

Watford have really struggled lately and are in danger of suffering an instant return to the EFL Championship. In contrast, Arsenal head to Hertfordshire having won seven of their last nine in the Premier League, with just Manchester City getting the better of Arteta’s men since early December. We are backing the Gunners to secure a comfortable victory at Vicarage Road. You can get nice odds of 6/4 for the visitors to be winning at half time and full time.

6th Mar 2022

16:30 - Manchester City v Manchester United

Manchester City Win & BTTS @ 2/1

The biggest clash of the weekend undoubtedly comes on Sunday afternoon, as fierce rivals Manchester City and Manchester United do battle at the Etihad Stadium in what promises to be a mouth-watering Manchester derby. City have been relentless as ever of late, while United have put together a decent unbeaten run in the Premier League. However, as expected, Man City are the odds-on favourites on home soil.

Pep Guardiola’s men lost their last one at home to Tottenham Hotspur but bounced back with a hard-fought, and rather controversial, 1-0 victory at Everton last weekend. As for United, they were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Watford at Old Trafford last time out. The Red Devils usually turn up for this derby, and the visitors will no doubt play their part, but our money is going on the home victory. Take a punt on the City win and both teams to score at the hefty looking price of 2/1.

7th Mar 2022

19:30 - Nottingham Forest v Huddersfield

Huddersfield Town to Win by One Goal @ 13/5

Two EFL Championship clubs meet in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Monday night, as Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest welcome Carlos Corberan’s Huddersfield Town to the City Ground. Both teams are pushing for promotion to the Premier League this season, and this all-Championship FA Cup affair could go either way. The prize is a home quarter final against Liverpool and so both clubs will be desperate to advance.

These two have already met twice in the Championship this season, with both teams winning the away fixture. In September, Cooper’s men picked up a 2-0 win at the John Smith’s Stadium, while a Duane Holmes goal gave Town a 1-0 victory at the City Ground in late December. This really is a tough one to call, but we can see the in-form Terriers nicking it. They are flying at the moment so put some money on the away side to win by one goal again (13/5).

7th Mar 2022

20:00 - Tottenham Hotspur v Everton

Draw @ 14/5

Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur welcome Frank Lampard’s Everton to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a fascinating Premier League fixture on Monday night. Spurs have been in patchy form of late, but the UEFA Champions League places are still within touching distance. As for the Toffees, they are just a point above the relegation zone.

Tottenham have beaten Manchester City and Leeds United in their last two away games, but their previous two at home have ended in defeat and they were kicked out of the FA Cup in midweek by Boro too. Lampard has had mixed start to life at Goodison Park, winning one and losing three of four league games. However, they are through to the last eight of the FA Cup and one of those league defeats was both controversial and probably underserved, against Man City. The hosts are the favourites, but we fancy Everton to snatch a point in the capital. The draw is available at 14/5 and that looks the value pick with the Toffees steadily improving.

8th Mar 2022

19:45 - Swansea v Fulham

Fulham Win & BTTS @ 13/5

EFL Championship leaders Fulham make the trip to South Wales on Tuesday night to face Swansea City. Russell Martin’s Swans are beginning to find some form, winning four of their previous six games in the Championship. However, the Cottagers, who have won nine of their 11 league games in 2022, head to the Swansea.com Stadium as the bookies’ favourites.

Swansea have been solid at home of late, securing three wins in a row and winning four of the last five matches on their own patch. As for Fulham, they have won four away league matches on the spin and have not been beaten on the road in the Championship since early October. This promises to be an entertaining affair in Wales, but the Cottagers should edge it. Back the away win and both teams to score at a price of 13/5.

8th Mar 2022

20:00 - Liverpool v Inter Milan

Liverpool to Win to Nil @ 7/4

Liverpool are back in UEFA Champions League action this Tuesday, as Jurgen Klopp’s men welcome Simone Inzaghi’s Inter Milan to Anfield for the second leg of their Round of 16 tie. After a superb win in the San Siro, the Reds are the overwhelming favourites to go through. Can Liverpool keep up their stunning form and get a victory on the night?

Klopp’s troops have been sensational of late, winning every league and cup match since a 0-0 Carabao Cup draw with Arsenal back in mid-January. Inter have had a little wobble in Serie A recently, though they won their last one 5-0. The Italians have nothing to lose at Anfield, but Liverpool should be too strong once again. Take a punt on the home team to win to nil at odds of 7/4.

8th Mar 2022

20:00 - Bayern Munich v Red Bull Salzburg

Bayern Munich to Win -2 Goals @ 6/5

Bayern Munich and Red Bull Salzburg meet in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie at the Allianz Arena this Tuesday night. Salzburg battled hard in the first leg and held the German giants to a 1-1 draw. However, with the second game taking place in Munich, Julian Nagelsmann’s Bavarians are the big favourites to see the job through.

Matthias Jaissle’s side were minutes away from claiming a stunning victory over Bayern in the Red Bull Arena last month but Kingsley Coman netted at the death to rescue a 1-1 draw for the German outfit. FC Hollywood are incredibly strong at home these days, and the Bundesliga champions should be far too hot to handle for the Austrians at the Allianz Arena. We’ll be backing Bayern to win with a -2 goal handicap at odds of 6/5.

9th Mar 2022

20:00 - Manchester City v Sporting Lisbon

Manchester City to Win -3 Goals @ 5/2

Manchester City continue their UEFA Champions League journey with the second leg of their Round of 16 tie with Sporting Lisbon this Wednesday. In-form City have a commanding 5-0 lead in the tie after a five-star showing in Portugal three weeks back. Pep Guardiola and his boys will be looking for another comfortable victory at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night.

Man City ran riot at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in mid-February, with Bernardo Silva (2), Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden and Raheem Sterling netting in a resounding 5-0 away win. The Citizens are in high spirits after thumping rivals Manchester United in the Premier League at the weekend, and we fancy Pep’s boys to secure another big win in midweek. You can get the solid odds of 5/2 for Man City to win with a -3 goal handicap.

9th Mar 2022

20:00 - Real Madrid v PSG

Draw & BTTS @ 10/3

Giants Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain lock horns at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. The tie is delicately poised after Paris earned a 1-0 victory at the Parc des Princes three weeks ago. Can Real turn things around on their own patch, or will PSG see the job through and book their place in the last eight?

The first leg looked to be heading for a goalless draw but Kylian Mbappe had other ideas. The 23 year old stepped up in the 94th minute to give the French side a narrow advantage in the tie. Madrid will be a formidable force on their own patch but we are backing Mauricio Pochettino’s troops to hold on. Put some money on the draw and both teams to score at odds of 10/3.

11th Mar 2022

20:00 - West Brom v Huddersfield

West Bromwich Albion Win @ 17/20

Steve Bruce’s West Bromwich Albion and Carlos Corberan’s Huddersfield Town go head-to-head at The Hawthorns in Friday night EFL Championship action. West Brom ended their woeful winless run last time out, while the Terriers are unbeaten in the league since November, one of the longest unbeaten runs in European football right now! Despite being 13 points above the Baggies in the Championship table, Town are the underdogs in this one but we think the market has that about right.

Before last weekend’s game, West Brom had lost six and drawn one of seven league matches. Two goals from Karlan Grant gave Bruce’s boys a vital 2-0 victory at Hull City and they will still feel they could mount a push for the play-off spots. Huddersfield were beaten at Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup last Monday, which was their first defeat since losing to Middlesbrough on 27th November. This one really could go either way, but home advantage should give Albion the edge (17/20).

10th Mar 2022

17:45 - Sevilla v West Ham

Sevilla Win & BTTS @ 15/4

West Ham United are in UEFA Europa League Round of 16 action on Thursday night. David Moyes takes his Hammers to Spain to face Julen Lopetegui’s Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. West Ham have done superbly well to get this far, but getting the better of the record Europa League winners over two legs will take some doing. Sevilla are serious competition specialists and their extra experience and know-how at this level should be too much against a West Ham side that has seen their level drop just a little of late.

The Premier League outfit have been superb in Europe this season though, winning four of six to top their group and go straight through to the Round of 16. Sevilla beat Dynamo Zagreb in the Europa League knockout play-offs to reach the last 16. Lopetegui’s men are incredibly strong at home, and we fancy the Spanish side to take a lead to London. Take a punt on the home win and both teams to score at the nice price of 15/4.

10th Mar 2022

19:30 - Southampton v Newcastle

Newcastle United Win @ 5/2

Southampton welcome Newcastle United to St Mary’s for a game in the Premier League on Thursday night. The Saints had been in good form of late, but Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men were thumped at Aston Villa last time out, Steven Gerrard’s Philippe Coutinho-inspired Villans winning 4-0. Eddie Howe’s Magpies are one of the form sides in the division, winning five of their last six, and so it is a surprise to see them priced so generously here.

Southampton were on a seven-game unbeaten run in all competitions before last weekend’s surprise 4-0 defeat at Villa Park. Even so, Newcastle have been in stunning form since the turn of the year and will make the long journey south full of confidence. United have moved seven points clear of the drop zone after an outstanding run of five wins and three draws from eight. We fancy Newcastle to keep up their superb form with a win at St Mary’s on Thursday – the away victory is available at 5/2 and that is far too big to turn down.

10th Mar 2022

19:30 - Wolves v Watford

Wolverhampton Wanderers to Win -1 Goal @ 21/10

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Watford clash at Molineux in the Premier League on Thursday. Wolves’ UEFA Champions League ambitions have been dealt a huge blow after three successive league defeats, although performances have probably been better than results. All things considered, Bruno Lage’s men should see off Roy Hodgson’s lowly Hornets on home soil in midweek. The home side are the odds-on favourites with the bookies and we fancy them to win with room to spare against a team that can’t stop conceding.

Things were going just fine for Wanderers before their trip to the Emirates Stadium in late February. However, they conceded at the death to lose at Arsenal and were beaten by West Ham United and Crystal Palace in the next two. Watford have picked up just one Premier League win since November. Wolves should bounce back with a big three points at Molineux on Thursday, and we like the look of 21/10 for the hosts to win -1.

10th Mar 2022

19:45 - Leeds v Aston Villa

Aston Villa to Win to Nil @ 4/1

Leeds United host Aston Villa at Elland Road on Thursday in a huge Premier League fixture. This will be Jesse Marsch’s first home game in charge of the Whites and he will be desperate to get a win. The American started life at Leeds with a 1-0 loss at Leicester City last weekend, which was the club’s fifth straight Premier League reverse. They played well and deserved the win but couldn’t take their chances. Steven Gerrard’s boys are the favourites here.

A month ago, these two teams played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at Villa Park, Leeds showing both the best and worst ides of their game. Since then, though, Leeds have lost every game, while Villa have beaten Brighton & Hove Albion and Southampton, winning 4-0 last time out. Gerrard’s troops have won the last two by netting six and conceding none, and we fancy them to take all three points and keep a clean sheet on Thursday. Patrick Bamford may or may not be fit for the hosts but either way, Villa’s strong defence should cope. You can get the top odds of 4/1 for the away side to win to nil.

10th Mar 2022

20:00 - Rangers v Red Star Belgrade

Rangers to Win by One Goal @ 13/5

After beating German giants Borussia Dortmund in the previous round of the UEFA Europa League, in what was a goal-packed and thrilling duo of games, Rangers welcome Red Star Belgrade to Ibrox this Thursday for the first leg of their Round of 16 tie. The Gers are the odds-on favourites to pick up a crucial home win. However, Red Star will no doubt be formidable opponents over the two games and we think they will seek to keep things tight away from home.

Rangers pulled off the shock of the round against Dortmund, winning 4-2 in Germany and drawing 2-2 at home to go through with a stunning 6-4 aggregate win. Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s boys are unbeaten since losing the Old Firm derby in the Scottish Premiership back in early February. We fancy the Gers to nick a narrow victory on home soil this Thursday, so put some money on Rangers to win by exactly one goal at 13/5.

10th Mar 2022

20:00 - Leicester v Rennes

Draw @ 12/5

Leicester City and Rennes lock horns in UEFA Europa Conference League action at the King Power Stadium this Thursday. It has been a tough season for Brendan Rodgers’ Foxes, but City have finally found some form with four wins from their last five league and cup games. Can they see off the French team over two legs and book their spot in the last eight?

After a 2-1 league loss at Wolverhampton Wanderers last month, Leicester have bounced back with successive wins over Randers, Burnley and Leeds United. This will be a tough game though, as Rennes are sitting pretty in fourth spot in Ligue 1 right now, collecting 46 points from 27 games. Bruno Genesio’s side have also picked up three wins on the spin. This is a tough one to call, so check out the draw at the solid price of 12/5.

12th Mar 2022

12:30 - Brighton v Liverpool

Liverpool to Win to Nil @ 13/8

On Saturday afternoon, Brighton and Hove Albion welcome Liverpool to the Amex Stadium in a Premier League fixture could see the visitors put more pressure on the league leaders Man City. The Seagulls are on the worst run of their season after four straight league defeats. In contrast, the Reds head to the Amex on a seven-game winning streak in the Premier League. Liverpool will be looking for eight in a row at the weekend as they attempt to challenge Pep Guardiola’s side at the top of the table.

Since a 3-2 loss at West Ham United in November, Jurgen Klopp’s men have gone on to win 13 of 16 league matches, dropping just seven points. Brighton have picked up only three Premier League wins since September. As they look to keep the pressure on in the race for the title, we fancy Liverpool to chalk up another three points from this one. The Merseysiders have kept clean sheets in four of their last five league wins, and you can get odds of 13/8 for Liverpool to win to nil here.

12th Mar 2022

12:30 - Barnsley v Fulham

Fulham to Win -2 Goals @ 7/2

Saturday in the EFL Championship kicks off with the Barnsley versus Fulham affair at Oakwell. The Cottagers are flying high at the top of the table and look nailed on for an instant return to the Premier League, whilst the Tykes are second from bottom with a mere 24 points to their name. This should be another easy three points for the London side.

Barnsley have shown glimpses of hope in the last few weeks, winning three of their past six matches. In midweek, they were minutes away from beating Stoke City, but Lewis Baker rescued a point for the Potters in injury time. Fulham were rampant again, thumping Swansea City 5-1 in South Wales on Tuesday. Marco Silva’s side have won 10 of their 12 league games since the turn of the year, and they should make light work of the struggling Tykes on Saturday. Put some money on the visitors to win with a -2 goal handicap at odds of 7/2.

12th Mar 2022

15:00 - Brentford v Burnley

Brentford to Win by One Goal @ 13/5

Thomas Frank’s Brentford and Sean Dyche’s Burnley lock horns in a huge Premier League fixture at the Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Bees eased the growing pressure with a much-needed win at Norwich City last weekend, which lifted them six points clear of the Clarets. Can Brentford make it back-to-back victories here?

The success at Carrow Road last time out was the Londoners’ first league win since the opening game of 2022. Burnley were beginning to show signs of life after wins over Brighton and Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur, but Dyche’s men have lost at home to Leicester City and Chelsea in their last two games. This could go either way, but we fancy the hosts to nick it. Take a punt on the Bees to win by one goal at a price of 13/5.

12th Mar 2022

17:30 - Manchester United v Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur Win @ 23/10

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur square off at Old Trafford in a heavyweight Premier League clash on Saturday evening. With both clubs pushing for a UEFA Champions League place, this is a huge fixture for the pair. United will want to bounce back from their big loss at the Etihad Stadium, while Spurs will be looking to build on Monday’s impressive and decisive 5-0 victory over Everton.

Man United’s 4-1 defeat to Manchester City last weekend was just Ralf Rangnick’s second league reversal as United boss. Tottenham have been inconsistent of late, but the London side have won their last two, scoring nine goals and conceding none in the process. Spurs famously won this fixture 6-1 last season, and we fancy Antonio Conte’s men to leave Old Trafford with the points on Saturday. The Tottenham win is available at a fair price of 23/10.

14th Mar 2022

20:00 - Crystal Palace v Manchester City

Manchester City HT/FT @ 20/21

Crystal Palace and Manchester City lock horns at Selhurst Park in a Premier League fixture this Monday night. The Eagles have picked up seven points from their last three and have suffered only one defeat in eight across all competitions, but they are the big underdogs in this one. Man City will be hoping for a comfortable night in the capital and despite Palace’s form, and the fact that they stunned Pep and co at the Etihad 2-0 in October, we fancy them to prevail with room to spare.

Patrick Vieira is going a fine job with Crystal Palace, with the Eagles sitting securely in mid-table after seven wins, 12 draws and nine defeats from 28. Liverpool are keeping City honest at the top, but Pep Guardiola’s men have won two in a row in the league after the shock defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. Man City should be too strong for Palace at Selhurst, so take a punt on the away team to be winning at half time and full time (20/21).

13th Mar 2022

12:00 - Luton v QPR

Luton Town Win & BTTS @ 4/1

Luton Town and Queens Park Rangers clash in Sunday’s EFL Championship matchup at Kenilworth Road. With the clubs pushing for a place in the play-offs, both will be gunning for all three points from this one. The Hatters are in stunning form at present, and Nathan Jones’ troops are the bookies’ favourites to get the win on their own patch.

Luton have fired their way into sixth position after an incredible run of nine wins from 13 Championship matches since the turn of the year. In contrast, QPR have had a slump in form of late, losing four of their past six. Luton have made Kenilworth Road a real fortress in recent months, and we fancy the hosts to secure a precious three points here. Take a punt on the Luton win and both teams to score at 4/1.

13th Mar 2022

14:00 - Chelsea v Newcastle

Chelsea to Win -1 Goal @ 10/11

Chelsea welcome Newcastle United to Stamford Bridge this Saturday in the Premier League. The Blues are in fine fettle, winning four in a row in the league after a bit of a slump saw them slip out of the title race. They probably can’t catch City and Liverpool but they will certainly keep pushing. That said, the Magpies are also one of the form sides in the division, picking up six wins and three draws from their past nine Premier League fixtures to ease away from the bottom three. This promises to be an entertaining game at the Bridge.

Since the Carabao Cup final defeat on penalties to Liverpool, Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea have won three on the bounce. A big part of the return to form has been the return to fitness of Reece James but Chelsea have looked better all round too. Last time out, Trevor Chalobah, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz netted in a 3-1 win at Norwich City. Newcastle have been in stunning form lately, taking 19 points from the last 21 on offer to fire themselves up to 14th. However, this will be an arduous task for Eddie Howe’s men. Back the Blues to win -1 at nice odds of 10/11.

13th Mar 2022

14:00 - Everton v Wolves

Wolverhampton Wanderers Win @ 23/10

Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers go head-to-head at Goodison Park in the Premier League this Saturday in what is a crucial fixture for the home side. The Toffees will be desperate to bounce back from last Monday’s 5-0 reverse at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium when they were simply woeful. As for Wolves, they thumped Watford 4-0 at home in their last one. This is a massive game for both clubs, with the visitors looking to keep in the chase for a European finish.

Everton are in dreadful form right now, losing three in a row since beating Leeds United a month back. The Merseysiders have suffered 14 defeats from their past 18 Premier League matches and are just a point above the drop zone. They need to make their home game counts, starting here, but we are really not sure they are up to the task with pressure truly starting to mount. In contrast, after three losses on the spin, Wolves got back to winning ways in emphatic style in midweek. We fancy Bruno Lage’s boys to pile more misery on Frank Lampard and his team – put some money on the Wanderers win at a really nice price of 23/10.

13th Mar 2022

14:00 - Leeds v Norwich

Leeds United to Win by One Goal @ 13/5

Leeds United and Norwich City meet in a gigantic relegation battle at Elland Road on Saturday. Both sides are in real danger of dropping out of the Premier League come the end of the season and this has to be viewed as a must-win fixture for them both. At the time of writing, the Canaries sit bottom on 17 points, with Leeds just six points above in 16th. This truly is a relegation six-pointer at Elland Road and the home fans will be incredibly nervous.

Norwich had shown signs of life after collecting seven points from three games, but City head into this one having suffered five Premier League defeats on the trot. Leeds can better that though and they have lost six successive league matches, with Jesse Marsch losing to Leicester City (1-0) and Aston Villa (3-0) in his opening two. This basement battle is a tough one to call, but Leeds could edge it on home soil. Take a punt on United to win by one goal at 13/5.

13th Mar 2022

16:30 - Arsenal v Leicester

Arsenal Win & BTTS @ 2/1

Mikel Arteta’s in-form Arsenal entertain Brendan Rodgers’ improving Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium in Premier League action this Sunday afternoon. The Gunners are in the top four right now, amassing an impressive 48 points from 25 league fixtures. The Foxes sit 12th after nine wins, 10 defeats and six draws. Which way will this fascinating fixture go in the capital?

Arsenal’s form has been excellent since suffering back-to-back defeats to Manchester United and Everton in early December, with the Gunners going on to win eight of their following 10 in the league. Leicester have improved, winning five of their previous six in all competitions. However, we are backing Arsenal to edge an entertaining affair at the Emirates. The home victory and both teams to score is available at the fair price of 2/1.

15th Mar 2022

19:45 - Bournemouth v Reading

Bournemouth HT/FT @ Evens

Bournemouth welcome Reading to the Vitality Stadium for an EFL Championship fixture this Tuesday. The Cherries are in second spot now as they seek promotion to the Premier League, while the Royals are currently hovering just above the drop zone in 21st position. This is a massive game for both teams, but Scott Parker’s boys are the clear favourites with the bookies.

Bournemouth got back on track with a 2-0 win over Derby County last time out. Before that, the Cherries had taken just one point from two games. Paul Ince’s Reading crashed to another embarrassing defeat last weekend, losing 4-0 to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. Bournemouth should be too strong for the struggling Royals at the Vitality, and we like the look of the even-money price for the hosts to be winning at half time and full time.

15th Mar 2022

19:45 - Blackburn v Derby

Draw & BTTS @ 9/2

Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn Rovers and Wayne Rooney’s Derby County do battle at Ewood Park this Tuesday evening in EFL Championship action. Despite winning just one of their previous nine Championship games, Rovers are still in the mix for promotion. As for the Rams, they remain in the bottom three.

Blackburn have struggled since the turn of the year, securing just three league victories in 2022. Derby have been in patchy form of late, winning three and losing five of their past eight. Blackburn are the odds-on favourites in this home game, but this is a tough one to call. Both teams are desperate for all three points for different reasons, but we are backing the duo to cancel each other out at Ewood Park. The draw and both teams to score is priced at odds of 9/2 which looks good to us.

15th Mar 2022

20:00 - Manchester United v Atletico Madrid

Manchester United to Win by One Goal @ 11/4

Manchester United and Atletico Madrid square off at Old Trafford on Tuesday for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie. The tie is on a knife-edge after the two evenly matched teams played out a 1-1 draw at the Wanda Metropolitano in game one. Can the Red Devils get the job done on home turf?

The United fans might have been fearing the worst when Joao Felix opened the scoring for Atleti in the seventh minute of the first leg. However, Ralf Rangnick’s troops hung in there and got an equaliser with 10 minutes to go thanks to Anthony Elanga. This will no doubt be another tight and tense affair, but we fancy Man United to snatch a victory at Old Trafford. As such we’ll be backing the hosts to win by one goal at odds of 11/4.

15th Mar 2022

20:00 - Ajax v Benfica

Ajax Win & BTTS @ 13/10

Ajax and Benfica meet at the Johan Cruyff Arena this Tuesday in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. The first leg of this knockout tie was a thriller, as the teams played out a four-goal draw at the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon last month. Will we be treated to more fireworks in Amsterdam on Tuesday?

After a frantic first half in Lisbon, Ajax took a 2-1 lead into the break. However, Benfica rescued a draw with 18 minutes to play, with Roman Yaremchuk scoring the all-important leveller. There was nothing to split the pair in game one, but we fancy Ajax to make home advantage count on Tuesday. Benfica could play their part again, so check out the tempting price of 13/10 for the home win and both teams to score in this one.

15th Mar 2022

20:00 - West Brom v Fulham

Fulham Win @ 21/20

Steve Bruce’s West Bromwich Albion and Marco Silva’s Fulham meet in a mouth-watering EFL Championship match at The Hawthorns this Tuesday night. Despite dropping points at Barnsley last weekend, the Cottagers are well on their way to promotion to the Premier League. Can Silva’s side move a step closer with three points at The Hawthorns in midweek?

The Baggies fought back valiantly to rescue a 2-2 draw with in-form Huddersfield Town last weekend, but Bruce’s boys are seven points away from sixth spot. Fulham are riding high at the top of the Championship table with 77 points to their name, with the Cottagers 12 points clear at the top. After the draw at Oakwell, Fulham will be looking for maximum points here. The away victory is available at a decent price of 21/20.

16th Mar 2022

19:30 - Brighton v Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur to Win to Nil @ 11/4

Antonio Conte takes his Tottenham Hotspur troops to the Amex Stadium this Wednesday to face Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League. Spurs will be hoping to bounce back from the defeat at Old Trafford last weekend with three points in Brighton in midweek. Tottenham are the bookies’ favourites in this one.

Brighton have struggled for wins of late, picking up just two league victories since the turn of the year. Graham Potter’s boys were tough to beat in the first half of the season, but the Seagulls go into this one on the back of five straight Premier League losses. Spurs will still be kicking themselves after the reverse at Manchester United, but Conte’s side should bounce back here. We like the look of 11/4 for Tottenham to win to nil in this one.

16th Mar 2022

19:45 - Nottingham Forest v QPR

Nottingham Forest Win @ 19/20

Nottingham Forest and Queens Park Rangers square off at the City Ground this Wednesday in the EFL Championship. With both teams battling for promotion, this promises to be an intriguing fixture in the East Midlands. Mark Warburton’s QPR moved into fourth after Sunday’s crucial win at Luton Town, with Forest just four points behind in ninth position in the table.

Steve Cooper has done a remarkable job at the City Ground since taking over, turning the Reds into genuine promotion candidates. Nottingham Forest, who are through to the last eight of the FA Cup, thumped Reading 4-0 at home last time out. We are backing Forest to pick up another precious three points on home soil before Sunday’s cup clash with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. The home victory in this one is available at the solid price of 19/20.

16th Mar 2022

19:45 - Cardiff v Stoke

Draw @ 9/4

Cardiff City and Stoke City clash at the Cardiff City Stadium in EFL Championship action this Wednesday. The Bluebirds have shown a big improvement since Steve Morison took over, and the Welsh side head into this one having taken seven points from the last nine on offer. Can Cardiff win again in midweek?

The Bluebirds have been solid on their own patch over the last couple of months or so, winning four of seven. Only Fulham have won at the Cardiff City Stadium during that time. Stoke’s winless run continued at the weekend, as they conceded at the death to draw 2-2 at Peterborough United. The Potters have picked up just one win from their past 11 in the Championship, though five of those have ended all square. Put your money on the draw here at odds of 9/4.

16th Mar 2022

19:45 - Luton v Preston

1-1 Draw @ 5/1

On Wednesday night, Luton Town host Preston North End at Kenilworth Road in the EFL Championship. After Sunday’s disappointing reverse to Queens Park Rangers, Nathan Jones’ Hatters will be desperate to bounce back with all three points from this one. However, Preston have not been an easy nut to crack under Ryan Lowe.

Luton have had a sensational season so far, collecting an impressive 57 points from 36 games. At one point on Sunday, Town were in fourth position in the Championship table. Preston have been tough to beat since their new manager arrived, losing just two of 16 league games. North End have drawn three of the last four, and we fancy the Lilywhites to pick up a point in Bedfordshire on Wednesday. The 1-1 draw at odds of 5/1 has caught the eye.

16th Mar 2022

20:00 - Lille v Chelsea

Chelsea to Win -1 Goal @ 9/4

Thomas Tuchel takes his Chelsea troops to France to face Lille in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday. The Blues hold a handy lead in this Round of 16 tie after a comfortable home win in game one last month. Will the in-form Blues see the job through at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in midweek?

Cheslea have lost just once in 90 minutes since early December, and Tuchel’s boys are in fine form ahead of this second leg in France. In the first game at Stamford Bridge in February, goals from Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic earned the Blues a 2-0 victory. Chelsea do not need to win in Lille, but we fancy the Londoners to book their place in the last eight in style. You can get odds of 9/4 for the away side to win with a -1 goal handicap, and that will do for us.

16th Mar 2022

20:00 - Juventus v Villarreal

Juventus to Win by One Goal @ 13/5

Juventus and Villarreal go head-to-head at the Juventus Stadium in Turin on Wednesday for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie. The Spanish side more than held their own in the first game, and Unai Emery’s troops could give the Old Lady problems in this one. However, Massimiliano Allegri’s boys are the bookies’ favourites to go through to the last eight.

Juve went 1-0 up in the first minute at the Estadio de la Ceramica, but Villarreal battled back and found an equaliser midway through the second half. The pair looked evenly matched in that one, and this could be another close encounter. Having said that, Juve should just have the edge on home soil. Take a punt on Juventus to win by one goal at oods of 13/5.

16th Mar 2022

20:15 - Arsenal v Liverpool

Liverpool Win @ 4/5

In the Premier League on Wednesday night, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool lock horns in a tasty fixture at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners are in outstanding form, winning nine of their previous 11 Premier League games. Liverpool head to London having won eight in a row in the league. This promises to be a captivating clash at the Emirates.

Arsenal are in the top four of the Premier League after a stunning run of results. They also have games in hand on their rivals in the hunt for a UEFA Champions League spot. Liverpool kept the pressure on Manchester City in the title race with yet another win on Saturday. Arsenal will be formidable opponents for the Reds, but we can see Klopp’s men snatching the points in the capital. The away win is available at a price of 4/5 and that offers just enough value to tempt us.

17th Mar 2022

17:45 - Red Star Belgrade v Rangers

Rangers to Win to Nil @ 5/1

Rangers make the trip to Serbia to face Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday. The Scottish champions hold a handy 3-0 lead in the tie after an excellent first-leg performance at Ibrox last week. Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s boys are the big favourites to see the job through and book their place in the last eight.

After seeing off Borussia Dortmund in the previous round, Rangers were well up for this Round of 16 tie against Red Star. They were far too strong for the Serbians in Glasgow, with James Tavernier, Alfredo Morelos and Leon Balogun on target in a 3-0 win. We can see the Gers winning the second leg in Serbia on Thursday. Put some money on Rangers to win to nil again at the really good odds of 5/1.

17th Mar 2022

17:45 - Rennes v Leicester City

Draw & BTTS @ 10/3

Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City are back in UEFA Europa Conference League action on Thursday night. They are not in the best form domestically, to say the least, but at this level may have enough to go all the way. The Foxes take on Ligue 1 side Rennes at Roazhon Park and they take a very handy 2-0 lead to France after a professional performance at the King Power Stadium in game one. Can the Premier League club complete the job in Brittany on Thursday?

Marc Albrighton’s goal on the half-hour mark put City in front in the first leg. Kelechi Iheanacho doubled their advantage at the death, which could prove to be a pivotal goal in the tie. This will be far from easy at Roazhon Park, but a draw will be more than enough to put Leicester through to the last eight of the Europa Conference League. Have a punt on the draw and both teams to score at the decent price of 10/3.

17th Mar 2022

19:45 - Everton v Newcastle

Newcastle United to Win by One Goal @ 15/4

Everton and Newcastle United clash at Goodison Park this Thursday in a crucial Premier League matchup. Frank Lampard’s troops are down in 17th spot right now, only above the drop zone on goal difference and whilst they have games in hand, that is of little use when you keep on losing. The Magpies have been in outstanding form of late and have moved nine points clear of 18th place, despite failing to win any of their first 14 games. This is a huge clash for the Toffees and the pressure is really on the players, fans and management team.

Everton have had a miserable season so far, losing 16 of 26 Premier League matches. After a 3-0 win over Leeds United last month, the Merseysiders have gone on to lose four in a row. In contrast, Newcastle have been superb lately. Before last weekend’s narrow loss at Chelsea, Eddie Howe’s boys had won six of seven. Unfortunately for Everton, we fancy Newcastle to nick the points in this one. Back the away side to win by one goal at a really nice price of 15/4.

17th Mar 2022

20:00 - West Ham v Sevilla

West Ham United Win @ 6/5

David Moyes’ West Ham United welcome Julen Lopetegui’s Sevilla to the London Stadium this Thursday for the second leg of their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 tie. The Hammers gave a good account of themselves in Seville last week, though the Spanish side picked up a 1-0 home win. It is all to play for in this second leg in the English capital and with a raucous crowd behind them, the Hammers will fancy their chances of delivering the goods.

Sevilla are the record winners of this competition, and Lopetegui’s troops will be difficult to beat over two legs. Munir’s goal on the hour mark gave Rojiblancos a 1-0 victory at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan last Thursday. However, Moyes’ Irons are a tough nut to crack at the London Stadium, and this tie is far from over. Our money is going on the West Ham win in the 90, which is available at 6/5 - after that, who knows who will qualify?

18th Mar 2022

20:00 - Wolves v Leeds

Wolverhampton Wanderers to Win to Nil @ 11/4

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United go head-to-head at Molineux on Friday night in a tasty Premier League fixture. Wolves have got back on track with back-to-back wins and will be pressing for European qualification, while Leeds head to the Midlands having lost six of their last seven. Leeds are well and truly in the relegation battle. However, Jesse Marsch’s boys did pick up a vital victory over Norwich City last weekend, conceding a late equaliser before scoring an even later winner to send their fans into raptures.

United will still be buzzing from last Sunday’s much-needed win over the Canaries, but Friday’s game at Molineux will be a tough task for the Yorkshire outfit. After three defeats on the spin, Wolves have secured wins over Watford and Everton in the last two, and Bruno Lage’s troops will be eyeing up all three points from this one against another side at the wrong end of the table. They kept clean sheets in those two victories, and you can get 11/4 for Wolves to win to nil on Friday.

19th Mar 2022

12:30 - Aston Villa v Arsenal

Draw & BTTS @ 10/3

Mikel Arteta takes his Arsenal troops to Villa Park this Saturday to face Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa. The Villans may have been beaten at West Ham United in their last one, but Gerrard’s boys have been in good form of late and the former Rangers boss is certainly doing a very good job. As for the Gunners, they lost to Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night. Can the Londoners get back to winning ways on Saturday?

Before last weekend’s narrow loss at the London Stadium, Villa had won three in a row in the Premier League, seeing off Brighton & Hove Albion, Southampton and Leeds United. Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat to Jurgen Klopp’s Reds on Thursday was their first Premier League loss since a 2-1 home reverse to Manchester City way back on New Year’s Day. We can see these two form sides playing out a score draw at Villa Park (10/3).

19th Mar 2022

12:30 - Derby v Coventry

Derby County to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

Derby County and Coventry City clash in the EFL Championship at Pride Park on Saturday afternoon. The Rams are still fighting for their lives, but Wayne Rooney’s men were beaten again in midweek and are slowly running out of time. With the Sky Blues battling for a place in the Championship play-offs, this will be another stern test for lowly County but we think they might just have enough to pull it off.

On Tuesday night, Derby let a half-time lead slip to lose 3-1 to Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park, which was their fifth loss in six Championship matches. Nevertheless, they have been excellent at home in recent months, winning seven of the last 10 matches at Pride Park. This could be a close one, but our money is going on a narrow Derby win. Take a punt on the home side to win by one goal at 3/1.

19th Mar 2022

12:30 - Sheffield United v Barnsley

Sheffield United to Win -1 Goal @ 7/5

South Yorkshire sides Sheffield United and Barnsley do battle at Bramall Lane in an EFL Championship fixture this Saturday. The Blades are battling for promotion to the Premier League, while the Tykes are fighting to stay in the Championship, as they seem to do almost every year. Both teams will be desperate for all three points from this one, but United are the odds-on favourites with the bookies and should get the job done.

Paul Heckingbottom has done an outstanding job at Bramall Lane since taking over again, but the Blades have had one or two iffy results of late. In the last two, Sheffield United were beaten 4-1 at Coventry City before being held to a 0-0 draw at Blackpool. Barnsley have finally found form, winning half of their previous eight, but we fancy play-off chasers United to hit back with a big three points in this one. Put some money on the home team to win -1 at 7/5.

19th Mar 2022

17:15 - Middlesbrough v Chelsea

Chelsea HT/FT @ 6/5

The quarter-finals of the FA Cup get underway this Saturday when Middlesbrough welcome Chelsea to the Riverside Stadium. The EFL Championship club have had a memorable cup campaign so far, already beating Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur to reach the last eight. Can they add the UEFA Champions League holders to their scalp list at the weekend? With Chelsea’s request to play behind closed doors refused, then oddly taken back anyway, Boro should have a real edge on home soil and almost all neutrals will surely be behind them too.

Chris Wilder has done a sensational job at the Riverside since arriving in November, taking Boro into the last eight of the FA Cup and turning them into genuine promotion contenders in the Championship. They have seen off two Premier League giants so far, but in-form Chelsea, who reached the final last term, will be a tough nut to crack. Despite everything that is going on off the pitch the Blues keep marching on and if anything, the sanctions may even have galvanised them. We fancy Thomas Tuchel’s men to see off Boro, and there is good value in 6/5 for the Blues to be winning at half time and full time.

20th Mar 2022

12:30 - Crystal Palace v Everton

Crystal Palace Win @ 19/20

The first FA Cup quarter-final on Sunday is the all-Premier League affair at Selhurst Park between Crystal Palace and Everton. After their dramatic league victory over Newcastle United in midweek, can Frank Lampard’s men follow up with a win in the cup at the weekend, or will the hosts make home advantage count? This last-eight encounter in the capital could go either way but will the visitors have much left in the tank after their late show on Thursday?

Crystal Palace, who held Manchester City to a draw last time out, are not an easy nut to crack at Selhurst Park. Patrick Vieira’s men are unbeaten in three games at home and have lost just three matches on their own patch since November. Everton desperately needed those three points on Thursday, which alleviated some of the pressure. However, the Merseysiders have picked up just one win away from home since August. Palace should edge it on home soil and we’re backing them to win at odds of 19/20.

20th Mar 2022

14:00 - Leicester v Brentford

Leicester City to Win by One Goal @ 11/4

Leicester City and Brentford meet at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League’s early game on Sunday. The Foxes recently won four league and cup matches on the spin, but Brendan Rodgers’ boys have lost their last two. As for Thomas Frank’s Bees, they have just picked up two priceless Premier League victories.

Leicester have finished fifth in the table two seasons running, but the East Midlands club have spent most of this campaign in the bottom half. Brentford have boosted their survival chances with the back-to-back wins over Norwich City and Burnley. Despite their recent woes, Leicester have remained strong at home, losing only one of the past 11 games. The home side should edge this one at the King Power, and there is good value in the odds of 11/4 for the hosts to prevail by one goal.

20th Mar 2022

15:00 - Southampton v Manchester City

Manchester City to Win -1 Goal @ 5/6

Premier League champions Manchester City are in FA Cup action this Sunday when they travel to St Mary’s to play Southampton. The Saints have been a thorn in City’s side in the Premier League this season, holding the current leaders to draws home and away. Man City were also held to a goalless draw by Crystal Palace in their last game. They will certainly be aiming to get back to winning ways here though.

Back in September, Southampton battled hard to leave the Etihad Stadium with a 0-0 draw. They then held City to a 1-1 stalemate at St Mary’s in January. The Citizens dropped two invaluable points at Selhurst Park last time out, but Pep Guardiola’s men will want to bounce back with a cup win this Sunday. The Saints have caused City problems in recent matches, but the six-time FA Cup winners should get the job done here. We like the look of 5/6 for the away team to win with a -1 goal handicap.

20th Mar 2022

16:30 - Tottenham v West Ham

West Ham United Win @ 15/4

London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United meet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a mouth-watering Premier League game this Sunday afternoon. Both teams are three points behind Arsenal, who currently occupy the final UEFA Champions League spot. This could go either way, though Spurs are the bookies’ favourites to prevail.

Tottenham have been in patchy form lately, winning four and losing five of their last nine matches in the league. In midweek, they picked up an important 2-0 win at Brighton and Hove Albion. West Ham booked their place in the last eight of the UEFA Europa League with a memorable victory over record winners Sevilla on Thursday. The Hammers will still be buzzing from that one, and we fancy the West Ham win here at the solid price of 15/4.

20th Mar 2022

18:00 - Nottingham Forest v Liverpool

Liverpool Win & BTTS @ 15/8

Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest welcome Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to the City Ground for an interesting-looking FA Cup quarter-final on Sunday. Forest are going great guns in the EFL Championship as they hunt down a place in next season’s promised land of the top flight. As for Klopp’s boys, they are hot on the heels of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.

Forest have had a superb cup run so far, beating Arsenal in the first round before knocking out last year’s winners Leicester City in round two. Cooper’s men then ended Huddersfield Town’s unbeaten run to fire their way into the last eight. Forest will fancy their chances on home soil, but in-form Liverpool will be tough to beat. The home team will play their part, though the Premier League Reds should be too good. We’ll be backing the Liverpool win and both teams to score at odds of 15/8 in this one.

24th Mar 2022

19:45 - Italy v North Macedonia

Italy HT/FT @ 4/6

Italy and North Macedonia go head-to-head in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying play-off at the Stadio Renzo Barbera in Palermo on Thursday. The away side have picked up several eye-catching results in recent times, but this will be an arduous task for Blagoja Milevski’s men, who few will expect to progress. The UEFA Euro 2020 winners are the odds-on favourites to get the win and go through but there is no doubt that all the pressure is on them.

Italy were rather surprisingly beaten to top spot by Switzerland in qualifying Group C, which has put them in the play-offs. However, Roberto Mancini’s side are unbeaten so far. North Macedonia finished runners-up to Germany in Group J, surpassing expectations and will be able to play with great freedom here. Gli Azzurri are the heavy favourites to reach the World Cup, and they should ease past their opponents on Thursday. You can get 4/6 for the European champions to be winning at half time and full time and despite the 100% commitment the underdogs will show, that looks like solid value to us.

24th Mar 2022

19:45 - Portugal v Turkey

Portugal Win & BTTS @ 12/5

Fernando Santos’ Portugal and Stefan Kuntz’s Turkey square off at the Estadio do Dragao this Thursday in a mouth-watering 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying play-off. The Portuguese and their star-studded squad are the clear favourites with the bookies, but the improving Turks will be no pushovers in Porto. Who will get the win and face either Italy or North Macedonia in next week’s final?

Portugal, like Italy, were rather surprised in qualifying and lost out to Serbia after a fierce battle for top spot in Group A. As for Turkey, they picked up 21 points and finished just two points behind Holland in a competitive Group G. Kuntz’s troops will no doubt play their part at the Estadio do Dragao on Thursday, but the home team have a real edge in class and with their fans behind them, should edge a tight tie. Check out the decent price of 12/5 for the Portugal win and both teams to score.

24th Mar 2022

19:45 - Sweden v Czech Republic

Sweden to Win by One Goal @ 5/2

Sweden welcome Czech Republic to the Friends Arena this Thursday for a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying play-off match. There is not a lot to split these two evenly matched nations on paper, though the Swedes are the favourites on home soil. When they last met six years ago, the pair played out a 1-1 draw, and this is likely to be another tight encounter between the two countries.

Despite losing three times in Group B, Sweden comfortably took second spot behind Spain. The Czechs finished third behind Belgium and Wales in Group E and will have been a little disappointed with that. With this one taking place on their own patch, Janne Andersson’s boys will fancy their chances. Our money is going on a narrow Sweden victory, and there is good value in the juicy odds of 5/2 for the home team to win by exactly one goal on Thursday.

24th Mar 2022

19:45 - Wales v Austria

Wales Win @ 7/4

Rob Page’s Wales entertain Franco Foda’s Austria at the Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying play-off. The Dragons have reached the last two UEFA European Championships but have not participated in a World Cup since way back in 1958. They are two wins away from booking their spot in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Can the Welsh see off the Austrians in Cardiff this Thursday with a raucous home crowd cheering them on?

Wales have been on the rise in recent years, and Page has done an excellent job as caretaker boss in Ryan Giggs’ prolonged absence. The Cardiff City Stadium has been a real fortress for the Dragons, and Wales back themselves to beat anyone on their own patch. Austria will be a tough nut to crack, but the hosts should get the job done on home soil – the Wales win is priced at 7/4 and that looks more than fair to us.

26th Mar 2022

17:00 - Republic of Ireland v Belgium

Draw & BTTS @ 9/2

Republic of Ireland take on Belgium this Saturday in an international friendly at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. The Red Devils are in fine form and still sit proudly at the top of the FIFA World Rankings. The away side are the red-hot favourites in the Irish capital, but can the Boys in Green upset the Belgians at the Aviva?

Ireland are on a good six-game unbeaten run at present, winning three and drawing three since a narrow 2-1 loss to Portugal in September. Belgium were held to a 1-1 draw by Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium in their last fixture, and Roberto Martinez’s troops have won just one of their last four (two defeats). We fancy Stephen Kenny’s in-form Ireland to hold the Belgians to a draw in Dublin on Saturday. Take a punt on the draw and both teams to score at odds of 9/2.

26th Mar 2022

17:30 - England v Switzerland

England to Win -1 Goal @ 15/8

Gareth Southgate’s England welcome Murat Yakin’s Switzerland to Wembley Stadium in a friendly on Saturday evening. The Three Lions are unbeaten since losing the UEFA Euro 2020 final to Italy last summer, winning five and drawing two of the following seven. England will be looking to continue their unbeaten run ahead of the upcoming UEFA Nations League.

Southgate’s troops are incredibly hard to beat on their own patch, with their last home defeat in normal time coming in October 2020 against Denmark. The Three Lions are undefeated in 12 against the Swiss, and we can see that superb run continuing at the weekend. England are more than capable of winning by a margin on home turf, and there is good value in the odds of 15/8 for the Euro 2020 runners-up to win with a -1 goal handicap on Saturday.

26th Mar 2022

19:45 - Netherlands v Denmark

Netherlands to Win by One Goal @ 13/5

Louis van Gaal’s Netherlands welcome Kasper Hjulmand’s Denmark to the Johan Cruyff Arena for an international friendly fixture on Saturday night. With both teams in excellent form, this promises to be an entertaining encounter in the Dutch capital. The pair are hard to split on paper, though the home team are the favourites with the bookies.

Netherlands are on an excellent run right now and have suffered just one defeat in their last 15 games, winning 11 times along the way. Denmark were one of the most impressive nations in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, although they did lose to Scotland in their last match. This could go either way in Amsterdam, but home advantage might just give Holland the edge. Put some money on the hosts to win by one goal at odds of 13/5.

29th Mar 2022

19:45 - England v Ivory Coast

England Win & BTTS @ 13/5

Gareth Southgate’s England are back at Wembley Stadium this Tuesday as they welcome Ivory Coast for an international friendly. The Three Lions had to work hard for their narrow win over Switzerland last weekend and the African nation will provide a tough test for the English here. Nevertheless, Southgate’s side are the clear favourites with the bookies.

Saturday’s 2-1 victory over the Swiss extended England’s unbeaten run to eight games (six wins, two draws). The Three Lions have not lost since the gut-wrenching UEFA Euro 2020 final defeat to Italy last July. Ivory Coast gave France a good game last Friday, falling to a narrow 2-1 loss in Marseille. Patrice Beaumelle’s men could be tough opponents for England, but the Three Lions should make home advantage count. The hosts to prevail and both teams to score is available at a decent price of 13/5.

29th Mar 2022

19:45 - Poland v Sweden

Poland Win @ 11/8

Czeslaw Michniewicz’s Poland and Janne Andersson’s Sweden square off at Stadion Slaski in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying play-off final this Tuesday night. The winners of this one will book their place in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar later this year. The Poles may be the bookies’ favourites on home soil, but this play-off final could go either way.

Poland reached the final on a walkover after their semi with Russia was cancelled. In contrast, Sweden needed extra time to beat Czech Republic last Thursday. After a goalless draw in normal time, Robin Quaison’s effort in the 110th minute gave the Swedes a 1-0 win. On paper, these two nations seem well matched but home advantage could be key here. We are backing Poland to get the job done in the 90 minutes at odds of 11/8.

19:45 - Netherlands v Germany

Germany to Win by One Goal @ 7/2

Netherlands and Germany meet in a high-profile friendly match at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam on Tuesday night. Both European giants are in outstanding form, and this tussle in the Dutch capital should be a cracker. The home side are the slight favourites with the bookies, but the Germans will fancy their chances in Holland.

Both nations are on impressive unbeaten runs at present. Netherlands have not lost since the surprise reverse to Czech Republic at UEFA Euro 2020 last summer, which remains their only defeat in a year. As for Germany, since losing to England at the Euros, they have gone on to win eight games in a row. As we said, Holland are the favourites, but we fancy Germany to nick this one in Amsterdam. Put some money on the away team to win by one goal at odds of 7/2.

19:45 - Northern Ireland v Hungary

Draw & BTTS @ 5/1

Ian Baraclough’s Northern Ireland welcome Marco Rossi’s Hungary to Windsor Park this Tuesday night for a friendly. Norn Iron will be looking to extend their undefeated run to four matches, while the Hungarians will be hoping to bounce back from last week’s home loss to Serbia. This promises to be an intriguing international friendly fixture in Belfast.

Since back-to-back 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying defeats to Switzerland and Bulgaria back in October, Northern Ireland have drawn with Italy and beaten Lithuania and Luxembourg in their following three. Hungary had won two on the spin before the narrow home loss to the Serbians last Thursday. This could go either way in Belfast, but we fancy the pair to cancel each other out. You can get the top price of 5/1 for the draw and both teams to score.

19:45 - Republic of Ireland v Lithuania

Republic of Ireland to Win -1 Goal @ 5/6

Stephen Kenny’s in-form Republic of Ireland take on Lithuania at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday in an international friendly. After holding Belgium to a draw in Dublin at the weekend, the Boys in Green will be looking to extend their unbeaten run with a comfortable home success over the Lithuanians on Tuesday. This will be Ireland’s final game before the UEFA Nations League kicks off again in June.

It took Kenny time to settle in as Irish boss, but the 50 year old is starting to get things right. Saturday’s draw with the world’s highest-ranked team stretched the Republic’s unbeaten run to seven games (three wins and four draws). Ireland have lost just one of their last 11 fixtures, and they should ease past Lithuania on Tuesday. Take a punt on the hosts to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 5/6.

19:45 - Hull v Huddersfield

Huddersfield Town Win @ 17/10

The EFL Championship returns this Friday night with an intriguing fixture at the MKM Stadium, as Shota Arveladze’s Hull City entertain Carlos Corberan’s Huddersfield Town. The Terriers head into this one having drawn one and lost three of their previous four league and cup matches. But Town will still be going all out to get their promotion bid back on track with three points in East Yorkshire.

Hull have been in patchy form of late, winning just two games since January. However, the Tigers are in no danger of going down, as Arveladze’s troops are 13 points clear of 22nd place. Huddersfield’s long unbeaten run is well and truly over, but Corberan’s boys are still in the mix for promotion. We fancy the Terriers to get back to winning ways here, and the away victory is nicely priced at odds of 17/10.

2nd Apr 2022

12:30 - Liverpool v Watford

Liverpool to Win -2 Goals @ 10/11

The Premier League weekend kicks off on Saturday afternoon when Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool welcome Roy Hodgson’s Watford to Anfield. These two teams are at opposite ends of the Premier League table, and the Reds are the overwhelming favourites to get the win. With Manchester City kicking off at 3pm, three points for Liverpool will take the Merseysiders to the top of the table.

Klopp’s boys have been in stunning form of late. Since a 2-2 draw at Chelsea at the start of the year, Liverpool have won nine in a row in the league. They are hot on the heels of leaders Man City, and the Reds will be gunning for a tenth straight Premier League victory on Saturday. This should be comfortable for the hosts, and there is decent value in the odds of 10/11 for Liverpool to win with a -2 goal handicap.

2nd Apr 2022

12:30 - Blackpool v Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest Win & BTTS @ 4/1

Blackpool and Nottingham Forest meet at Bloomfield Road in the early kick off in the EFL Championship on Saturday. Blackpool have had a solid first season back in the second tier after winning the EFL League One play-offs last term. As for Forest, they have improved tenfold since Steve Cooper took over. This promises to be a captivating Championship clash in Lancashire.

Blackpool are in 13th place in the table at present, nine points away from sixth spot. Forest sit ninth, only three points behind the final playoff spot. The Reds have been superb since the turn of the year, suffering just one loss in 11 Championship fixtures in 2022. The Seasiders will be formidable opponents, but our money is going on the Nottingham Forest win. Check out the solid odds of 4/1 for the away victory and both teams to score in this one.

2nd Apr 2022

15:00 - Burnley v Manchester City

Manchester City HT/FT @ 8/11

Premier League champions and current leaders Manchester City make the trip to Turf Moor this Saturday to face Sean Dyche’s struggling Burnley side. City are currently sitting pretty at the top of the table on 70 points, while the Clarets are second from bottom with a mere 21 points to their name. Can Burnley cause a huge shock on home soil, or will Man City be too strong for the Lancashire outfit?

It has been a tough season for Dyche’s Burnley, who have picked up just three Premier League wins. In contrast, Man City have won 22 of their 29 league games. With Liverpool ready to pounce on any mistakes, no less than three points will do for Pep Guardiola’s men this weekend. City should be too strong for the hosts, so take a punt on the visitors to be winning at half time and full time at odds of 8/11.

2nd Apr 2022

15:00 - Chelsea v Brentford

Chelsea to Win to Nil @ 10/11

West London rivals Chelsea and Brentford go head-to-head at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon. Despite off-field issues, the Blues have been in outstanding form of late, winning six league and cup matches in a row since losing to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final in late February. Thomas Tuchel’s men should win again at the weekend unless something quite unexpected occurs.

Chelsea have won five on the spin in the Premier League, conceding just one goal in the process. Brentford have improved lately, picking up two wins from their last three, but this will be a tough test for Thomas Frank and his Bees. Chelsea will want to keep their momentum going with another routine home win. Back the Blues to win to nil again, which is available at the top price of 10/11.

2nd Apr 2022

17:30 - Manchester United v Leicester

Manchester United to Win by One Goal @ 11/4

Saturday’s late fixture in the Premier League will see Manchester United and Leicester City lock horns at Old Trafford. This is a huge game for the Red Devils as they hunt down a UEFA Champions League place. Leicester are an unpredictable side these days, but Brendan Rodgers’ boys are more than capable of upsetting the home side.

Man United bounced back from the derby defeat with a 3-2 home win over Tottenham Hotspur before the break. To be fair, they have been tough to beat under Ralf Rangnick, with just Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester City getting the better of the Red Devils in the Premier League since his arrival. The Foxes have improved recently, but we fancy United to nick this one. You can get a nice price of 11/4 for the hosts to win by one goal, which certainly looks worth considering.

3rd Apr 2022

14:00 - West Ham v Everton

West Ham United Win @ 4/5

West Ham United and Everton meet in a Premier League fixture at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon. With the Hammers pushing for a UEFA Champions League place, while the Toffees hover just above the relegation zone, this is a huge game for both clubs. The home side are the odds-on favourites with the bookies.

West Ham are having another exceptional season under David Moyes. However, the Irons have been in patchy form of late, losing four of their last six in all competitions. Before the international break, West Ham were beaten by rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Everton picked up a vital victory over Newcastle United in their last one, stopping a run of four straight league losses. Unfortunately for Frank Lampard’s men, we fancy West Ham in this one. The home win is priced at odds of 4/5, which is just big enough to tempt us.

3rd Apr 2022

15:00 - Birmingham v West Brom

West Bromwich Albion Win & BTTS @ 7/2

West Bromwich Albion make the short trip to St Andrew’s this Sunday to face Birmingham City in the EFL Championship. The Baggies have kept their playoff aspirations alive with a four-game unbeaten run, but only three points will do for Steve Bruce’s boys. Lee Bowyer’s side will go into this one having won just one of their last seven games.

Birmingham have had another tough season in the Championship, with City languishing in 19th place with a mere 42 points to their name. Nevertheless, they are in no danger of going down. West Brom currently sit 12th, seven points away from sixth spot. The play-offs may be too far away, but we can see Albion keeping their slim hopes alive with three points at St Andrew’s on Sunday. There is good value in the odds of 7/2 for the away win and both teams to score.

3rd Apr 2022

15:00 - Rotherham v Sutton

Rotherham United to Win by One Goal @ 5/2

Paul Warne’s Rotherham United and Matt Gray’s Sutton United meet in the 2022 EFL Trophy final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. The Millers are having an exceptional season, with United currently sitting top of the EFL League One table with seven matches to play. As for the Us, they are 10th in EFL League Two after winning the National League last term. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two clubs.

Rotherham have bigger fish to fry in terms of securing promotion back to the EFL Championship at the first time of asking. However, winning the EFL Trophy on Sunday will no doubt stand them in good stead for the remainder of the league campaign. Sutton will be no pushovers at Wembley, but the League One leaders should prevail. Back Rotherham to win by one goal at odds of 5/2.

3rd Apr 2022

16:30 - Tottenham v Newcastle

Tottenham Hotspur to Win -1 Goal @ 13/10

On Sunday afternoon in the Premier League, Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur welcome Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs have won five of their last seven in the league after three straight defeats, beating rivals West Ham United before the international break. Can they secure a third victory on the spin this Sunday?

Tottenham are still in the mix for the top four. Ahead of this round of fixtures, Conte’s troops sit in fifth place in the table on 51 points, just three behind fourth-place Arsenal. Newcastle’s impressive unbeaten run came to an end at Chelsea in mid-March, and the Magpies were then beaten at Everton. We fancy Tottenham to make home advantage count and secure a routine home victory here. You can get the decent price of 13/10 for the hosts to win with a -1 goal handicap.

4th Apr 2022

20:00 - Crystal Palace v Arsenal

Draw & BTTS @ 15/4

Patrick Vieira goes up against his former club on Monday, as Crystal Palace welcome Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to Selhurst Park in Premier League action. The Eagles stunned Manchester City in their last league fixture, holding the champions to a goalless draw. Can Vieira’s men frustrate the Gunners in this one?

Vieira has had a fine first season at Selhurst, with Palace currently sitting comfortably in 12th place in the Premier League and through to the last four of the FA Cup. Arsenal are gunning for a UEFA Champions League place this season, and Arteta’s boys are in pole position to take fourth place. The north Londoners will be looking for maximum points here, but we are backing the in-form Eagles to snatch a point. Put some money on the draw and both teams to score at odds of 15/4.
