Football Tips – March 2021

2nd Mar 2021

19:00 - Cardiff v Derby

Cardiff City Win & BTTS @ 4/1

Mick McCarthy’s Cardiff City and Wayne Rooney’s Derby County meet at the Cardiff City Stadium in an EFL Championship fixture this Tuesday night that both sides will feel they can win. The Bluebirds have been in sensational form under their new boss but they were held to a 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough last time out. Will the Welsh side return to winning ways in midweek?

Cardiff have won six and drawn three of their nine Championship matches under the stewardship of McCarthy. Before Saturday’s draw at the Riverside Stadium, City had won six games in a row. Derby are in fine fettle, with Rooney’s men also picking up six wins from their previous nine matches. However, we fancy in-form Cardiff to get the points on home turf. Check out the tempting price of 4/1 for the home victory and both teams to score in this one.

2nd Mar 2021

19:00 - Coventry v Middlesbrough

1-1 Draw @ 5/1

Mark Robins’ Coventry City welcome Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough to St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium this Tuesday for an EFL Championship encounter. With the Sky Blues down in 20th position in the table they certainly face a challenge to get anything from this one. Boro, meanwhile, have slipped five points away from the playoffs, so this is a big fixture for both sides. Promotion-chasing Boro are the slight favourites to come out on top at St Andrew’s but we’re not convinced they’ll get over the line.

Coventry have had a tough 2021 so far, losing six of 12 league and cup matches. The Sky Blues are hovering just six points above the bottom three with 13 fixtures to play. Middlesbrough are also in poor form though, with Warnock’s troops having picked up just two wins from their previous nine Championship games. We can see this one ending all-square in the West Midlands in midweek, with the 1-1 stalemate catching the eye at odds of 5/1.

2nd Mar 2021

20:00 - Manchester City v Wolves

Manchester City HT/FT @ 8/11

Premier League high flyers Manchester City entertain Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday evening. Pep Guardiola’s men have moved 12 points clear at the top of the Premier League table after a stunning run of wins and they will be looking to stamp their authority on the title race in this one. Wolves’ results and performances have improved of late after some indifferent performances but Nuno Espirito Santo’s boys are the big underdogs in this one.

Man City have won 20 league and cup games in a row. They are unbeaten in all competitions since a 2-0 league defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on 21st November. City are now overwhelming favourites to win the Premier League title and we can’t see any of their rivals getting near them during the rest of the season. Pep’s men should secure a 15th league win on the bounce in midweek and you can get the solid odds of 8/11 for the home team to be winning at half time and full time.

2nd Mar 2021

20:00 - Reading v Blackburn

Reading to Win -1 Goal @ 7/2

Veljko Paunovic’s Reading and Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn Rovers go head-to-head at the Madejski Stadium in EFL Championship action on Tuesday night. The Premier League-chasing Royals picked up a precious three points on the road at the weekend but can Reading secure another vital victory in midweek? The hosts are the bookies’ favourites to get the job done and we can’t argue with that assessment.

Paunovic has had a good first season at the Madejski Stadium having guided the Royals to 16 wins from 33 Championship matches so far. Reading are well and truly in the mix for promotion with 13 games to go. Blackburn have been in poor form lately and have lost five of their last six matches and have taken a mere point from the last 18 on offer. We fancy the home side to seal a comfortable victory in midweek. Back Reading to win this one with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 7/2.

3rd Mar 2021

17:30 - Norwich v Brentford

Draw & Over 3.5 Goals @ 9/1

The current top two in the EFL Championship go head-to-head in a mouth-watering fixture at Carrow Road on Wednesday, as Daniel Farke’s Norwich City host Thomas Frank’s Brentford. These two have been the best sides in England’s second tier this term and both look a good bet to secure promotion to the Premier League. However, trying to assess which side will prevail on Wednesday is no easy task.

After recent results, Norwich have opened up a seven-point gap at the top of the Championship table. Since a 2-0 loss at fellow promotion hopefuls Swansea City at the beginning of February, Farke’s boys have won five matches in a row. Brentford are back on track after home wins over Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke City. We can see these two evenly matched sides playing out an entertaining draw at Carrow Road. We’ll be backing the draw and over 3.5 goals. which is available at a nice price of 9/1.

3rd Mar 2021

18:00 - Burnley v Leicester

Leicester City to Win 2-1 @ Evens

Sean Dyche’s Burnley and Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City meet in Premier League action at Turf Moor this Wednesday. The Clarets were beaten 4-0 at Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend and looked very much off the pace. The Foxes, meanwhile, lost 3-1 at home to an Arsenal side that has been blowing hot and cold all season. Both these teams will be looking to hit back with a positive result in this one, but Leicester are clearly the bookies’ favourites to take the three points.

Burnley’s loss at Tottenham at the weekend was their first defeat in five games in the Premier League but they were comprehensively outplayed and never looked like seriously threatening their opponents. The Clarets still have work to do in their battle for survival as the Lancashire side are only five points above Fulham, who currently occupy 18th place in the table. Leicester, who sit in third place as things stand, have the joint best away record in the Premier League, having taken an impressive 30 points on their travels. City have won 2-1 away from home on four occasions in all competitions this season and we could see them posting that scoreline here. The 2-1 Leicester win here is priced at odds of evens.

3rd Mar 2021

18:00 - Sheffield United v Aston Villa

Aston Villa to Win to Nil @ 9/4

Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United welcome Dean Smith’s Aston Villa to Bramall Lane for a Premier League fixture this Wednesday night that could see the home side suffer yet more woe. The Blades have had a miserable season and look nailed on to be relegated to the EFL Championship. In contrast, the Villans have had a fine campaign, spending pretty much all season in the top half of the Premier League table.

Bramall Lane has been a fortress for Sheffield United at times down the years but Wilder’s boys have been pitifully bad on home turf this season. United have claimed just two home league victories and have suffered 10 defeats along the way. As for Aston Villa, they have picked up an impressive seven wins on the road, keeping clean sheets in all seven. You can get a decent price of 9/4 for Villa to win to nil at Bramall Lane on Wednesday, which looks worth a punt.

3rd Mar 2021

19:45 - Sheffield Wednesday v Rotherham

Sheffield Wednesday to Win 1-0 @ 6/1

Near neighbours Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham United go head-to-head at Hillsborough this Wednesday in a huge EFL Championship fixture. The South Yorkshire pair both start the week in the bottom three, with the Millers a point and a place above the Owls. Wednesday, who appointed Darren Moore earlier in the week, may have lost four games on the bounce, but the Sheffield club are the favourites to get the points in this one.

Sheffield Wednesday were starting to turn a corner after posting six wins from nine Championship matches. However, since a 2-0 home victory over Wycombe Wanderers on 9th February, the Owls have lost four games on the trot and are in serious trouble once again. Paul Warne’s Rotherham have lost five consecutive Championship matches, losing each of the last four by a goal to nil. The 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday win in midweek is available at the tempting odds of 6/1 and that’s what we’re backing here.

3rd Mar 2021

19:45 - Bristol City v Bournemouth

Bournemouth Win @ 17/20

After stunning away wins over Middlesbrough and Swansea City, Bristol City will be looking for another three points when Jonathan Woodgate’s Bournemouth visit Ashton Gate this Wednesday in the EFL Championship. Nigel Pearson got off to a flying start last weekend, guiding City to a 3-1 win in Swansea. How will the 57 year old get on in his first home game?

Before those back-to-back wins, Bristol City had lost seven league and cup games in a row. Bournemouth dropped out of the top six after a 2-1 home loss to Cardiff City last Wednesday, but the Cherries moved back into the playoffs with a hard-fought 1-0 home win over in-form Watford at the weekend. Bournemouth nicked a 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture at the Vitality Stadium back in October and we fancy the away win on Wednesday at odds of 17/20.

3rd Mar 2021

20:15 - Crystal Palace v Manchester United

Draw & BTTS @ 5/1

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United are back in London this Wednesday as the Red Devils travel to Selhurst Park to face Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace in the Premier League. United have been superb away from home this term and have collected a total of 29 points on their travels. Ole’s boys are the only team left with an unbeaten away record but can they get maximum points at Selhurst on Wednesday?

Man United have been tough to beat this term, though they have drawn too many games of late and have therefore failed to keep pace with the imperious Manchester City. Since a shock 2-1 home loss to Sheffield United on 27th January, four of United’s following six matches in the Premier League have ended in draws. Palace are an unpredictable outfit these days and we fancy the Londoners to hold Man United to a draw in midweek. Back the draw and both teams to score at odds of 5/1.

3rd Mar 2021

20:15 - Stoke v Swansea

Swansea City to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

Michael O’Neill’s Stoke City and Steve Cooper’s Swansea City square off in EFL Championship action at the bet365 Stadium on Wednesday night. The Potters find themselves in 10th spot in the table as things stand, seven points away from the play-offs. As for the Swans, they are riding high in fourth place with games in hand on their promotion rivals. This is a massive match for both sides but we get the feeling the visitors could just nick it.

Stoke have been in poor form of late and have won just two Championship fixtures since a 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers in mid-December. The Potters head into this one having lost two games in a row. Swansea will be hoping to bounce back from last weekend’s surprise home defeat to Bristol City and we fancy the Welsh side to go home with all the points from this one. Take a punt on the visitors to win by a one goal margin at odds of 3/1.

4th Mar 2021

18:00 - Fulham v Tottenham

1-1 Draw @ 13/2

Scott Parker’s Fulham and Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur do battle at Craven Cottage this Thursday evening in the Premier League. The Cottagers have shown plenty of fighting spirit and are now just three points adrift of safety after a solid run of results. Spurs still have eyes on a UEFA Champions League place but the Lilywhites find themselves six points behind fourth position at present. This is a vital fixture for both teams but which will prevail?

Parker has made Fulham hard to beat in recent months, with the west Londoners losing just three of their last 15 games in the Premier League. Tottenham had been in poor form for a while but Mourinho’s men have picked up back-to-back 4-0 wins and they will fancy their chances of getting the win. Fulham held Spurs to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in January though and we feel the home side will have enough discipline to grind out a point. A repeat of the 1-1 scoreline this Thursday is available at odds of 13/2 and that’s the bet for us.

4th Mar 2021

18:00 - West Brom v Everton

Everton Win @ 5/6

After last weekend’s vital Premier League victory over Brighton and Hove Albion, Sam Allardyce’s West Bromwich Albion will be desperate to follow that up with another three points in midweek. On Thursday night, Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton visit The Hawthorns and the Toffees will be looking for their third win in a row as they push for a place in the top four.

The Baggies’ victory over Brighton on Saturday was only their second success since Allardyce arrived at the club. West Brom are still bang in trouble, with Albion nine points adrift of the relative safety of 19th spot. Everton, who are currently in seventh position, have had a week to remember. Before Monday’s 1-0 home victory over Southampton, the Toffees finally got the better of Merseyside rivals Liverpool, winning 2-0 at Anfield. We are backing Everton to make it three victories on the bounce this Thursday, with the away win nicely priced at odds of 5/6.

4th Mar 2021

20:15 - Liverpool v Chelsea

Draw @ 13/5

Footballing behemoths Liverpool and Chelsea do battle at Anfield in a huge Premier League fixture on Thursday night. Jurgen Klopp’s men will be desperate to avoid a fifth straight home league reverse, while the Blues will be hoping to keep up their unbeaten record under new boss Thomas Tuchel. Despite their wobbly form, the Reds are the favourites in this one as they attempt to claw their way back into the top four.

After four league defeats in a row, Liverpool struck back with an important 2-0 win at bottom club Sheffield United last time out. Chelsea have looked solid under Tuchel up so far, with the German boss guiding the Londoners to six wins and three draws from his nine league and cup fixtures at the helm. Two of the Blues’ last three games in the Premier League have ended in draws, and we like the look of the draw here at odds of 13/5.

5th Mar 2021

19:45 - Huddersfield v Cardiff

Cardiff City to Win -1 Goal @ 3/1

Huddersfield Town entertain Cardiff City at the John Smith’s Stadium this Friday night in EFL Championship action. The Terriers have picked up just one win in 2021, thumping Welsh opponents Swansea City 4-1 a fortnight ago. Aside from that surprising result they have really struggled though so they could be in for a long night here. As for the Bluebirds, they are the form team of the Championship, unbeaten in ten and in with a real chance of securing a play-off berth at the very least.

Since the stunning win over the Swans, Carlos Corberan’s men have taken just one point from a possible nine. They have struggled at home since the turn of the year, securing just one victory at the John Smith’s and are languishing in lower midtable. In contrast, Cardiff have been flying under Mick McCarthy, winning seven and drawing three of 10 since the Yorkshireman took charge. City, who walloped Derby County in midweek, are one of the best away teams in the league. Back Cardiff to win -1 (3/1).

6th Mar 2021

12:30 - Burnley v Arsenal

Arsenal Win & BTTS @ 11/4

The Premier League weekend kicks off at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon, as Sean Dyche’s Burnley welcome Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to Lancashire. The Clarets are looking over their shoulder after Fulham’s recent resurgence, with the Cottagers now just six points behind with a game in hand. Burnley are currently on 29 points and Dyche and co will be targeting three more wins to see them safe. As for the Gunners, they are in tenth spot with 37 points to their name and not yet out of the fight for the European places.

Burnley held Leicester City to a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor in midweek, which was their third draw in four games but a good result for sure. The Lancashire club have picked up just one win from their previous nine league and cup matches though and are in really poor form. Arsenal have lost three of their last five in the Premier League after a good run, although they did beat Leicester 3-1 on the road last time out. We fancy Arteta’s men to edge this one at Turf Moor. Back the Arsenal win and both teams to score (11/4).

6th Mar 2021

12:30 - Watford v Nottingham Forest

Watford HT/FT @ 21/10

In the EFL Championship on Saturday afternoon, Watford entertain Nottingham Forest at Vicarage Road. Chris Hughton’s Forest are in good form and have been hard to beat lately, but the Hornets have the best home record in the Championship. As you would expect, Xisco Munoz’s men are the clear favourites to add another big three points to their tally.

Watford, who eased past Wycombe Wanderers at Vicarage Road in midweek, have been superb on their own patch all season. 41 of their 63 points have been won at home. The Hertfordshire club head into this one having won five of their last six in the league, and Munoz’s men should see off Forest at the weekend. Check out the tempting odds of 21/10 for the hosts to be winning at half time and full time.

6th Mar 2021

15:00 - Sheffield United v Southampton

Sheffield United Win @ 13/5

Two struggling sides square off in Premier League action at Bramall Lane on Saturday, as Chris Wilder’s rock-bottom Sheffield United take on Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton. The Blades have propped up the Premier League table all season, while the Saints have taken just one point from the last 27 on offer. The Saints are another team who will be concerned by the good form of Fulham and the side that topped the table not so long ago are now looking over their shoulder. Still, Southampton are the bookies’ favourites in this one.

Sheffield United have had an abysmal season, but they have certainly improved since the turn of the year. United have won half of their 14 league and cup fixtures in 2021. On Wednesday, a David McGoldrick goal was enough for a 1-0 home win over Aston Villa. Since starting 2021 with a win over champions Liverpool, Southampton have lost eight and drawn one of their following nine in the Premier League. They have a number of injury concerns and against a spirited opponent they may struggle once again. Put some money on the Sheffield United win at the massive price of 13/5.

6th Mar 2021

15:00 - Swansea v Middlesbrough

Swansea City to Win by One Goal @ 11/4

Swansea City and Middlesbrough meet in an intriguing EFL Championship fixture at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday. The Swans are hunting down an automatic promotion place, while Boro are five points away from the play-off places. Who will come out on top in this huge Championship fixture in South Wales?

After two defeats in three, Swansea picked up a precious three points on the road in midweek. A last-gasp Andre Ayew penalty gave the Swans a 2-1 win over Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium. Middlesbrough also picked up a 2-1 away win, with goals Grant Hall and George Saville doing the business against Coventry City. Boro edged the reverse game at the Riverside, but the Swans are a tough nut to crack at the Liberty. Check out the tempting price of 11/4 for Swansea to win by one.

6th Mar 2021

17:30 - Aston Villa v Wolves

Draw @ 23/10

Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers meet in a Premier League local derby at Villa Park on Saturday evening. The Villans will be desperate to bounce back after the midweek loss to bottom club Sheffield United. Wolves have been in good form of late, but Nuno Espirito Santo’s men were easily beaten by leaders Manchester City in midweek. There is no shame in that, but their late capitulation will have concerned their boss.

Aston Villa have blown hot and cold at Villa Park in recent months, winning three and losing three of the previous six. Before Tuesday’s loss at the Etihad Stadium, Wolves were unbeaten in five in the Premier League, picking up three wins and drawing twice. Villa nicked a 1-0 win at Molineux earlier in the season, and this could be another tight affair between even teams separated by just five points in the table. We fancy the Midlands duo to play out a draw this time, which is priced at solid odds of 23/10.

6th Mar 2021

20:00 - Brighton v Leicester

Leicester City to Win to Nil @ 7/2

Graham Potter’s Brighton & Hove Albion and Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City go head-to-head at the Amex Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday night. Since winning three and drawing three of six league games, the Seagulls have lost their last two and like a number of sides, know they need to improve to avoid being dragged into the bottom three. As for the Foxes, they are searching for their first win in four in all competitions, a surprising slump given their excellent previous form.

Brighton are without a victory since stunning Premier League champions Liverpool at Anfield on 3rd February. As a result, Albion hover just three points above the bottom three with 12 games to play. Despite taking one point from a possible six, Leicester remain third in the Premier League table. Rodgers’ boys have one of the best away records in the division, and even without the injured Harvey Barnes, the visitors will fancy their chances at the Amex. City won the reverse game 3-0 – back Leicester to win to nil again at the chunky looking price of 7/2.

7th Mar 2021

12:00 - West Brom v Newcastle

West Brom to Win by One Goal @ 11/4

West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United meet in a vital Premier League fixture at The Hawthorns this Sunday. Victory for the Baggies will put them six points behind the Magpies and still in with a reasonable shot at staying up, but defeat would be disastrous for Sam Allardyce’s men. West Brom head into this crunch mach as the slight favourites with the bookies having been in decent form of late.

Albion were beaten at home by Everton in midweek but will feel they deserved at least a draw. Before that the Midlands outfit did pick up a crucial three points against Brighton & Hove Albion last Saturday and got draws in the two matches before that. Steve Bruce’s United are in poor form, losing 10 of 15 Premier League games since beating West Brom at St James’ Park in mid-December. The Baggies’ three league wins this term have been by a single-goal margin, and you can get 11/4 for the hosts to win by exactly one on Sunday, with 1-0 a decent bet at longer odds as well.

7th Mar 2021

14:00 - Liverpool v Fulham

Liverpool Win & BTTS @ 21/10

Liverpool host Fulham at Anfield in Premier League action on Sunday afternoon. Thursday’s 1-0 loss to Chelsea was the Reds’ fifth consecutive home league defeat, the worst run in the club’s history. Scott Parker’s Cottagers have shown a big improvement of late, and the London side will certainly fancy their chances in Merseyside. Can Fulham pile more misery on Jurgen Klopp and his men?

Since thumping Crystal Palace 7-0 on 19th December, Liverpool have gone on to win just two of their following 13 Premier League matches. The Reds have lost five of their last six in the league and have not won at home in seven (two draws, five defeats). They have not even scored from open play at Anfield since last year! Fulham were narrowly beaten by Tottenham Hotspur in midweek, which ended a five-game undefeated run. The Londoners are in good form, but Liverpool must win this one and we expect a reaction. Take a punt on the home win and both teams to score at decent looking odds of 21/10.

7th Mar 2021

16:30 - Manchester City v Manchester United

Manchester City to Win -1 Goal @ 13/10

Rivals Manchester City and Manchester United lock horns in a mouth-watering Premier League fixture at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon. City have pulled away at the top after 15 straight wins and the league title is surely theirs. The battle for second spot is very much on though, with three or four teams likely to battle it out and seven or eight in with a chance of landing a top four spot. United have won just two of their previous eight in the Premier League, though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s boys are still hanging on to second spot for now at least.

Man City head into this Manchester derby in stunning form. They are unbeaten in all competitions since a 2-0 league defeat at Tottenham Hotspur in November. Pep Guardiola’s men eased to a 4-1 home win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in midweek, which was their 21st league and cup victory in a row. Man United have been tough to beat this season and very strong on the road, but we fancy City to seal another comfortable home win. Have a punt on the hosts to win -1 at 13/10.

7th Mar 2021

19:15 - Tottenham v Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur HT/FT @ 5/4

London sides Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace do battle in Premier League action at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday night. Spurs are back on track after three successive league and cup wins, scoring nine and conceding none, with Gareth Bale starting to show his true colours. This weekend, Jose Mourinho’s men will be looking for a fourth victory on the bounce.

After losing five of six, Tottenham have hit back with back-to-back league wins over Burnley and Fulham. Spurs ran riot against the Clarets on home turf last weekend, with Bale (2), Harry Kane and Lucas Moura netting in a resounding 4-0 win. Palace have drawn their last two (both 0-0), but we fancy Spurs to claim a comfortable home win here. Check out the solid odds of 5/4 for the hosts to be winning at half time and full time.

8th Mar 2021

18:00 - Chelsea v Everton

Chelsea Win & BTTS @ 11/4

Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea welcome Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton to Stamford Bridge for a tasty Premier League fixture on Monday evening. The west London outfit have been solid under their new boss so far, firing themselves back into the UEFA Champions League places after a string of good results. The Toffees are also in great form, as they are just a point behind Chelsea in fifth and have a game in hand. If they can claim all three points here they will be in with a superb chance of finishing in the top four and their record against the top sides suggest such a result is certainly possible.

Since taking over at the Bridge, Tuchel has guided Chelsea to five wins and three draws from eight Premier League fixtures. Last time out, a Mason Mount goal gave the Londoners a 1-0 win at Anfield, condemning the Reds to a fifth straight loss on home soil. Everton have won three league games in a row, seeing off Liverpool, Southampton and West Bromwich Albion without conceding. However, we fancy Chelsea to edge this one on home turf. The hosts to win and both teams to score is priced at 11/4.

8th Mar 2021

20:00 - West Ham v Leeds

West Ham to Win by Two Goals @ 9/2

The final Premier League fixture of the round takes place at the London Stadium on Monday night when David Moyes’ West Ham United host Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United. The Hammers have had an exceptional season so far, winning exactly half of their 26 league fixtures. Can the London side pick up another three points in this one to keep themselves in the top four race?

In 2021, West Ham have won seven of 10 Premier League fixtures, losing only to champions Liverpool and leaders Manchester City. Moyes’ troops have been formidable at home of late, winning five of their last six. Leeds have had a terrific first season back in the top flight, collecting 35 points so far. However, we can see West Ham easing to three points on Monday. You can get 9/2 for the Irons to win by exactly two goals.

9th Mar 2021

18:00 - Blackburn v Swansea

Swansea City to Win 2-1 @ 10/1

On Tuesday evening, Blackburn Rovers and Swansea City go head-to-head at Ewood Park in EFL Championship action. Rovers finally picked up three points last weekend to end a poor run of form, beating Millwall at The Den. As for the Swans, they have scored last-gasp goals in back-to-back wins over Stoke City and Middlesbrough and are knocking on the door of the automatic promotion places. It could be a tough one to call, but who will come out on top in Lancashire this Tuesday?

Before last weekend’s win at The Den, Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn had been in horrendous form, losing six and drawing one of seven league games. Andre Ayew has been Swansea’s hero over the past week, scoring injury-time penalties in the 2-1 wins over Stoke and Boro. The Welsh side are flying high on 65 points, just one shy of second-placed Watford and with two games in hand. We fancy Steve Cooper’s men to keep up the pressure on the sides above them by sealing another narrow away victory in midweek. The 2-1 Swansea win is available at decent odds of 10/1.

9th Mar 2021

19:00 - QPR v Wycombe

Queens Park Rangers to Win to Nil @ 7/4

Mark Warburton’s Queens Park Rangers welcome Gareth Ainsworth’s Wycombe Wanderers to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium in the EFL Championship this Tuesday night. Rangers have been in good form of late, winning seven of their last 11 league games. Since a 1-0 win over promotion hopefuls Reading last month, bottom side Wanderers have lost three on the spin and are destined for relegation… unless they pull off a miraculous turnaround.

QPR got back to winning ways last weekend after a draw and two defeats from their previous three games. Warburton’s boys put on a solid display at Ashton Gate, with Ilias Chair and Rob Dickie getting the goals in a 2-0 success. Wycombe are almost certainly on their way back down to EFL League One having picked up just five wins from 34 Championship games. Back the R’s to win to nil for a seventh time this season on Tuesday at odds of 7/4.

9th Mar 2021

20:00 - Borussia Dortmund v Sevilla

Borussia Dortmund Win & BTTS @ 13/5

Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla square off in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie on Tuesday evening. The pair played out a five-goal thriller at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan last month, with the German side edging the game. Can the Black and Yellows see the job through at the Westfalenstadion on Tuesday night or will Sevilla strike back?

As is so often the case these days, Erling Haaland was Borussia Dortmund’s hero in the first leg, bagging a brace in Spain to help the Bundesliga outfit to a priceless away victory. Sevilla scored the first and last goals, but Dortmund left Seville with a superb 3-2 win. We could be treated to another thrilling encounter between the two sides on Tuesday. Check out the top odds of 13/5 for Borussia to win and both teams to score in what should be an interesting game for the neutrals.

9th Mar 2021

20:00 - Juventus v Porto

Juventus HT/FT @ 6/5

Andre Pirlo’s Juventus have plenty of work to do in their Round of 16 UEFA Champions League tie against Sergio Conceicao’s Porto. This Tuesday night, the Old Lady welcome the Portuguese side to the Juventus Stadium in Turin for the second leg. Even though Juve are behind in the tie, the Italian giants are the odds-on favourites to make it through to the last eight. But is the bookies’ confidence misplaced?

Porto were excellent at the Estadio do Dragao in the first leg, with goals from Mehdi Taremi and Moussa Marega giving them a deserved 2-0 lead. However, how important will Federico Chiesa’s goal be? His 82nd-minute strike could end up making all the difference in this tie. We fancy Juve to reach the quarter-finals by securing a comfortable win on home turf this Tuesday. We are backing Pirlo’s boys to be winning at half time and full time, which you can get at the solid odds of 6/5.

10th Mar 2021

18:00 - Manchester City v Southampton

Manchester City to Win -2 Goals @ 7/5

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City welcome Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton to the Etihad Stadium for a Premier League fixture this Wednesday evening. City’s stunning 21-game winning streak was ended by rivals Manchester United last weekend, so Pep’s boys will be out for blood in this one. It could be a long evening for the struggling Saints, who are still trying to amass enough points to be certain of playing in the Premier League next term.

Despite Sunday’s derby defeat, City are still 11 points clear at the top of the table and well on their way to claiming another Premier League title. The 2-0 loss was their first reverse in any competition since a 2-0 league defeat at Tottenham Hotspur way back in November. Southampton picked up a rare win last time out, winning 2-0 at bottom side Sheffield United, but we fancy Man City to seal a sizable home victory on Wednesday. Back the home team to win with a -2 goal handicap in this one at odds of 7/5.

10th Mar 2021

19:00 - Barnsley v Derby

Barnsley Win & BTTS @ 15/4

In-form Barnsley entertain Derby County in EFL Championship action at Oakwell on Wednesday night. Valerien Ismael’s Tykes are the form team in the Championship at present, winning each of their last seven games. The excellent run has given Barnsley confidence they could make the play-offs. Derby, meanwhile, have improved under the stewardship of former England captain Wayne Rooney, but the Rams head to South Yorkshire having lost three of their last five games.

Barnsley have fired themselves into the top six after a run of two draws and seven wins from their last nine games. They have been superb at home in recent weeks, securing back-to-back victories over Blackburn Rovers, Stoke City, Millwall and Birmingham City. Derby have lost three in a row away from Pride Park, shipping seven goals in the process. As such, we fancy Barnsley to make it eight straight wins on Wednesday. Check out the solid odds of 15/4 for the Tykes victory and both teams to score at Oakwell.

10th Mar 2021

20:00 - Liverpool v RB Leipzig

Liverpool to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are looking to book their spot in the last eight of the UEFA Champions League in midweek. On Wednesday, the Reds take on German outfit RB Leipzig at the Puskas Arena in Budapest for the second leg of their Round of 16 tie. Liverpool have a handy lead after a 2-0 win in Hungary three weeks ago and they will relish the opportunity to put their appalling domestic campaign (by their standards) to one side and put on a decent show in Europe.

It was a pretty even contest in the first leg but quick-fire goals in the second period from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane earned Liverpool a precious 2-0 win. Ordinarily that would give Liverpool fans lots of confidence that their side would progress without any problems. But Klopp’s boys are in dreadful form in the Premier League and it won’t be a comfortable night if the Germans get an early goal. Having said that, the English champions have looked solid enough in Europe up until now and we fancy the Reds to secure a narrow win over Leipzig on Wednesday. As such, we’re will to take a punt on Liverpool to win by a one goal margin at odds of 3/1.

10th Mar 2021

20:00 - PSG v Barcelona

Paris Saint-Germain Win @ 5/4

Mauricio Pochettino’s Paris Saint-Germain have one foot in the last eight of the UEFA Champions League after a stunning win at the Camp Nou last month. PSG will be looking to get the job done in style when they entertain Ronald Koeman’s Barcelona at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night. Paris are fancied to win on the night but Barcelona will want to make up for their heavy defeat and salvage some pride in Paris.

PSG stunned Barca in Catalonia a few weeks back. A Lionel Messi penalty put the home team in front but it was all about Pochettino’s Parisians after that. The excellent Kylian Mbappe netted a hat-trick to help the French giants to a memorable 4-1 win in Spain. The second leg is likely to be much closer as the home side won’t need to push for victory, but we are backing PSG to get the better of Blaugrana once again. We’ll be putting some money on the home win at a fair price of 5/4.

11th Mar 2021

17:55 - Manchester United v AC Milan

Manchester United to Win by One Goal @ 13/5

Manchester United and AC Milan square off in arguably the standout Round of 16 tie in the UEFA Europa League. The Red Devils, who are riding high in the Premier League, are the bookies’ favourites to win the competition but Zlatan’s Rossonerri are also towards the top of the market and their odds will plummet if they get past United. Can Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men pick up a good result against the Italian giants at Old Trafford?

Fresh from their derby day win over rivals Manchester City, United head into this Europa League Round of 16 tie in high spirits. The Red Devils made light work of Real Sociedad in the previous round, and Ole’s boys will fancy their chances against Milan over two legs. It could be close, but we are backing Man United to get the win at Old Trafford on Thursday. Back the hosts to win by exactly one at 13/5.

11th Mar 2021

17:55 - Olympiacos v Arsenal

1-1 Draw @ 6/1

Arsenal are back at the Karaiskakis Stadium this Thursday night, as Mikel Arteta’s men take on Pedro Martins’ Olympiacos in the 1st leg of their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 tie. The Greek outfit knocked the Gunners out of this competition last season. Will Arsenal get revenge, or can Olympiacos edge past the Premier League side once again?

Arsenal have certainly had their problems domestically this season, but Arteta’s boys have been exceptional in Europe up until now. The Londoners have won seven and drawn one of eight Europa League games, seeing off Benfica in the Round of 32. With the 2nd leg to come at the Emirates Stadium next week, a draw would not be a bad result for Arsenal. The 1-1 stalemate at the decent odds of 6/1 has caught the eye in what should be a relatively close encounter.

11th Mar 2021

20:00 - Tottenham v Dinamo Zagreb

Tottenham to Win to Nil @ 7/5

Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur are back on track after four league and cup wins on the trot. The Portuguese boss has been under some serious pressure but now he has a fit Harry Kane and a seemingly back to his best Gareth Bale, Mourinho will believe his men can achieve their goals this term. The London outfit will be hoping to make it five victories on the spin when they welcome Zoran Mamic’s Dinamo Zagreb to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in UEFA Europa League action on Thursday night. Spurs are the big favourites in this Round of 16, 1st leg tie, and we fully expect them to get the job done.

Tottenham have won five of their last six in all competitions, beating Wolfsberger 8-1 on aggregate in the last 32 of the Europa League in the process. Croatian champions Dinamo could be tricky opponents over the two legs, but the Lilywhites will be looking for a good win to take into the second leg in Zagreb. Spurs have kept clean sheets in three of their last four wins so back Tottenham to win to nil on Thursday at the very solid price of 7/5.

12th Mar 2021

19:45 - Blackburn v Brentford

Brentford Win & BTTS @ 10/3

Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn Rovers and Thomas Frank’s Brentford lock horns at Ewood Park in EFL Championship action on Friday night. Rovers have been in appalling form of late and have won just one league game since January. The Bees have lost four of their last six matches, but only Norwich City and Cardiff City have picked up more away points.

Blackburn’s play-off hopes are all but over after six defeats in nine Championship games. Brentford, meanwhile, have had a little slump in form in recent weeks, winning just two of their last six games. The London side have lost three in a row on the road, but Frank’s boys will fancy their chances of picking up maximum points in Lancashire. Check out the tempting odds of 10/3 for the visitors to win and both teams to score in this game.

12th Mar 2021

20:00 - Newcastle v Aston Villa

Aston Villa to Win to Nil @ 9/4

On Friday night, Newcastle United entertain Aston Villa at St James’ Park in Premier League action. After Fulham’s win at Anfield last weekend, the Magpies are now just a point above the drop zone and they really need to get some points on the board. As for the Villans, they are in ninth place with an impressive 40 points to their name. Can Villa pile more misery on Steve Bruce’s boys this Friday or will the home side find some form at last?

Newcastle have picked up just two league wins since mid-December. They have failed to win in their last four games, though their last two have ended in draws. Aston Villa have been solid on the road this season, winning half of their 14 away league matches. Only five clubs have picked up more away points than the West Midlands outfit. Newacstle United will be desperate for the points but we fancy Dean Smith’s Villa to get the victory in this one. Aston Villa have kept clean sheets in all of their away league wins this term. As such, we’re backing the away team to win to nil on Friday at odds of 9/4.

13th Mar 2021

12:15 - Luton v Swansea

Swansea City Win & BTTS @ 4/1

Nathan Jones’ Luton Town entertain Steve Cooper’s Swansea City in EFL Championship action at Kenilworth Road on Saturday afternoon. The Swans are having a superb season, racking up an impressive 66 points from 34 league games. They are level on points with Watford, who sit second, with a game in hand. Can they return to South Wales with a vital three points?

Luton survived by the skin of their teeth last season, but the Hatters have kept themselves well above the bottom three this term. Town are sitting comfortably in 16th, 12 points clear of the drop zone. Swansea are back in form though, taking seven points from their last nine, and we fancy Cooper’s boys in this one. City’s last two wins have ended 2-1, and there is good value in the Swansea win and both teams to score here at big odds of 4/1.

13th Mar 2021

12:30 - Leeds v Chelsea

Chelsea to Win to Nil @ 21/10

Saturday’s early kick off in the Premier League comes from Elland Road, as Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United welcome Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea to West Yorkshire. Leeds have been very competitive on their Premier League return, but the in-form Blues are the bookies’ favourites in this one. Chelsea have yet to lose under new boss Tuchel and have been looking increasingly impressive. They are very difficult to score against and have an array of attacking options they are able to rotate, and their squad depth is probably only bettered by Man City.

Bielsa’s boys have had a fine season up until now, but they have lost four of their last five, just as it appeared they may be able to push for the European places. Chelsea are unbeaten in 12 league and cup games, with Tuchel taking charge of 11 of those. The London side have picked up excellent wins over Liverpool and Everton in their last two. Under their new German manager, Chelsea have kept an incredible nine clean sheets in 11 fixtures. Leeds’ goals have rather dried up of late too so back the Blues to win to nil at Elland Road on Saturday at nice odds of 21/10.

13th Mar 2021

15:00 - Crystal Palace v West Brom

Crystal Palace Win & BTTS @ 4/1

Crystal Palace entertain West Bromwich Albion at Selhurst Park in the Premier League this Saturday. The Baggies have had a tough first season back in the top flight and look to be heading for an instant return to the EFL Championship. Palace are in 13th place at present, eight points above 18th. The Eagles are the favourites in this one and won’t need too many more wins to ensure their top flight status.

That said, Crystal Palace have picked up just one win from their previous six, crashing to a heavy 4-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur last time out. Since taking over at the Hawthorns, Sam Allardyce has guided West Brom to only two wins from 15 Premier League games, suffering eight losses along the way and not doing any better than the man he replaced. Unfortunately for the Baggies, we can see them losing again at the weekend. Put a few quid on the Palace win and both teams to score (4/1).

13th Mar 2021

17:30 - Everton v Burnley

Everton to Win to Nil @ 2/1

After defeat at Stamford Bridge last weekend, Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton will want to get back to winning ways when they welcome Sean Dyche’s Burnley to Goodison Park in the Premier League this Saturday. The Toffees have had a solid season so far, sitting just four points away from the UEFA Champions League spots in sixth place whilst having a game in hand over many of those above them. As for the Clarets, they are down in 15th.

Before last weekend’s loss at Chelsea, Everton had won three Premier League games in a row, seeing off Liverpool, Southampton and West Bromwich Albion without conceding. It took a fortunate deflection for Chelsea to get the opener and their second was a penalty, so the Everton defence is looking solid all in all. Burnley have struggled of late, winning only one of their past 10 league and cup fixtures. We are backing the Merseyside outfit to come out on top on home soil. Put some money on Everton to win to nil again at the very nice price of 2/1.

13th Mar 2021

20:00 - Fulham v Manchester City

Manchester City to Win -1 Goal @ 20/21

Manchester City hit back in style after last weekend’s disappointing derby defeat to rivals Manchester United, as Pep Guardiola’s men thumped Southampton 5-2 at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night. Man City will take another giant leap towards the Premier League title with victory over Scott Parker’s Fulham at Craven Cottage this Saturday night and they already have an advantage of some 14 points at the top of the table!

Fulham picked up a stunning win at Anfield last weekend, with Mario Lemina netting in a 1-0 victory. The Cottagers are now only in the drop zone on goal difference. Fulham’s improvement since the turn of the year has been remarkable, but getting anything from Saturday’s game against the champions elect will take some doing. Man City have won 12 league and cup away games in a row. Take a punt on the leaders to win -1 this weekend at 20/21.

14th Mar 2021

12:00 - Southampton v Brighton

Draw @ 21/10

Southampton and Brighton and Hove Albion meet in a crucial Premier League fixture at St Mary’s this Sunday with neither side clear of the threat of relegation as things stand. The Saints have picked up just one league victory since beating Liverpool on 4th January, while the Seagulls have lost three in a row and are now only above the relegation zone on goal difference. Who will come out on top at St Mary’s in this relegation six-pointer?

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men made a very solid start to their season but they have been in dreadful form since the turn of the year. Southampton have lost nine of their last 11 games in the Premier League and have taken a mere four points from the last 33 on offer. Brighton recently went five league games without defeat but they have been beaten by Crystal Palace, West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City in their last three games and failure to improve could well see them slip into the drop zone. Both sides would probably settle for a point at this stage and we think caution will prevail here. The draw is priced at odds of 21/10 which looks just enough value for us to grab it.

14th Mar 2021

12:15 - Sheffield Wednesday v Norwich

Norwich City to Win to Nil @ 6/4

EFL Championship leaders Norwich City are in action on Sunday, as Daniel Farke takes his troops to Hillsborough to face Darren Moore’s struggling Sheffield Wednesday. After a string of wins, the Canaries have moved 10 points clear at the top of the Championship table. As for the Owls, they find themselves seven points adrift of safety in 23rd place. If they don’t put a run of results together they are destined for the drop.

Wednesday are in freefall, losing each of their last six in the league. It has been a disastrous season for the Sheffield club, who could very well drop into EFL League One. In contrast, Norwich have had an exceptional Championship campaign up until now. Farke’s boys have taken control after seven straight wins and they should gain promotion to the top flight unless something disastrous occurs. City have kept five clean sheets in those seven victories and the visitors are priced at 6/4 to win to nil again on Sunday, which looks a good bet to us.

14th Mar 2021

14:00 - Leicester v Sheffield United

Leicester City to Win -1 Goal @ 7/5

Leicester City welcome bottom side Sheffield United to the King Power Stadium on Sunday with the home side looking to maintain their position in the top four. After taking one point from two Premier League games, the Foxes bounced back with a vital away victory at Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend. Leicester are flying high in third place as things stand, while the Blades remain rock bottom of the Premier League table. They have also parted company with their manager Chris Wilder, so we can’t see the visitors being in a strong position to get a result here.

After missing out in heartbreaking fashion last season, Brendan Rodgers’ boys will be desperate to hold on to a UEFA Champions League place this time around. At the time of writing, City are five points clear of fifth spot, which is currently occupied by West Ham United – rather surprisingly. Sheffield United have improved since the turn of the year but the Blades are heading to the EFL Championship and the departure of their manager at this stage is unlikely to give them a boost in form. Leicester should secure a comfortable win at the King Power Stadium this Sunday. Put some money on the hosts to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 7/5.

14th Mar 2021

16:30 - Arsenal v Tottenham

Draw & BTTS @ 10/3

North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur go head-to-head at the Emirates Stadium in a tasty Premier League fixture on Sunday afternoon. Spurs took the bragging rights when these two met at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in December, with Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane getting the goals. Will Tottenham do the double, or can the Gunners get revenge and start to move back up towards the European qualification places?

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have lost just one of their last seven league and cup matches, with that sole defeat coming against runaway leaders Manchester City. Jose Mourinho’s Spurs have shown a big improvement in recent weeks, winning each of their last five in all competitions, partly because Gareth Bale has started to put in some decent performances. This derby at the Emirates could go either way, so we are backing the draw and both teams to score, which is available at the decent price of 10/3.

15th Mar 2021

20:00 - Wolves v Liverpool

Draw & BTTS @ 4/1

Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolverhampton Wanderers welcome Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to Molineux on Monday for a Premier League fixture. Wolves have improved of late, losing just one of their last seven league encounters. As for the Reds, they are in woeful form in the Premier League, but Klopp’s boys did book their spot in the last eight of the UEFA Champions League last Wednesday. The manager will hope they have turned the corner but this will not be an easy test with their defence still severely depleted.

Only leaders Manchester City have beaten Wanderers in league action since January, but Nuno’s men are without a win in three (two draws, one loss). Liverpool have been in horrendous form of late, losing six of their previous seven in the Premier League, although their major woes have been on home soil. Monday’s matchup at Molineux is a tricky one to call, so we are backing this to end all square. Check out the solid odds of 4/1 for the draw and both teams to score, with 1-1 our prediction here.

16th Mar 2021

19:00 - Cardiff v Stoke

Cardiff City Win @ 11/10

Cardiff City and Stoke City clash in the EFL Championship at the Cardiff City Stadium this Tuesday night. Mick McCarthy suffered his first loss as Bluebirds boss last time out, so the Welsh side will be desperate for all three points from this one. As for Michael O’Neill’s Potters, they have not won away from home since a 1-0 victory at bottom side Wycombe Wanderers way back on 2nd December.

Before last weekend’s gut-wrenching loss to Watford, Cardiff had gone 11 games without defeat, winning seven and drawing four. It was a setback for the Bluebirds, who now find themselves seven points behind sixth place. Stoke, who lost 3-0 at Middlesbrough on Saturday, are in 11th position on 48 points. We are backing McCarthy’s Cardiff to hit back with a vital home victory on Tuesday at odds of 11/10 as they make a final push for the play-offs.

16th Mar 2021

19:00 - Derby v Brentford

Brentford to Win to Nil @ 21/10

Wayne Rooney’s Derby County welcome Thomas Frank’s Brentford to Pride Park in EFL Championship action on Tuesday night. The Rams could do with a win having picked up just one victory in their last seven games. The Bees are back on track after three wins from their last four matches, and Frank’s boys will be looking for another three points in midweek in the hope of battling back into the automatic promotion positions.

Rooney has certainly steadied the Derby ship since taking over on a permanent basis, but County head into this one having drawn two and lost three of their last five matches. After three straight defeats, Brentford are back in form and have collected nine points from the last 12 on offer. The Bees should see off the Rams at Pride Park on Tuesday. You can get the solid odds of 21/10 for the away team to win to nil, which looks good to us.

16th Mar 2021

19:45 - Bournemouth v Swansea

Swansea City Win & BTTS @ 13/2

Jonathan Woodgate’s Bournemouth and Steve Cooper’s Swansea City square off in a huge EFL Championship game at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night. The Cherries have slipped five points behind sixth place after some patchy form of late. As for the Swans, they are level on points with Watford in the race for second spot. Who will come out on top in this one?

Bournemouth were beaten at home by in-form Barnsley in a crunch match last time out, which was the Cherries’ third defeat in six Championship games. Swansea battled to a 1-0 win at Luton Town last Saturday, extending their unbeaten run to four (three wins, one draw). The Welsh outfit will fancy their chances in this one – back the visitors to win and both teams to score at a decent price of 13/2.

16th Mar 2021

20:00 - Manchester City v Gladbach

Manchester City to Win Both Halves @ 6/4

Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach meet in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie at the Puskas Arena in Budapest on Tuesday night. In-form City have a handy lead in the tie after a 2-0 victory in the first leg in Hungary last month. As expected, Pep Guardiola’s superstars are the clear favourites in this one and we won’t disagree with the bookies on this one.

Man City were solid in the first leg, with Bernardo Silva opening the scoring before half time. 20 minutes after the break, Gabriel Jesus doubled City’s advantage. Since losing to rivals Manchester United, City have bounced back with big wins over Southampton and Fulham. Guardiola’s side should ease to victory again on Tuesday night without too much both. We’ll be taking a punt on City to win both halves of this one at the decent price of 6/4.

16th Mar 2021

20:00 - Real Madrid v Atalanta

Draw & BTTS @ 7/2

Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid and Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta lock horns in UEFA Champions League action at the Alfredo Di Stefano on Tuesday night. This Round of 16 tie is still in the balance after Real nicked a tight first leg 1-0. However, Los Blancos are the favourites to get the win on their own patch and book their spot in the last eight with room to spare.

It was a tight and tense first leg at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia a few weeks back. Madrid left it late to steal a priceless, if narrow, victory, with defender Ferland Mendy netting the only goal of the game. Los Merengues are unbeaten since January, while Atalanta’s loss at Inter Milan in their previous away fixture was their first away defeat since October. We fancy this to end all-square in the Spanish capital, and the draw and both teams to score is priced at a fair price of 7/2.

17th Mar 2021

19:00 - Nottingham Forest v Norwich

Norwich City to Win by One Goal @ 11/4

Runaway EFL Championship leaders Norwich City are back in league action on Wednesday, as Daniel Farke takes his high flying Canaries to the City Ground to face Chris Hughton’s Nottingham Forest. Norwich maintained their 10-point lead at the top after coming from behind to beat Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough last weekend. Will City win again in midweek or will the home side proved a tough nut to crack?

Hughton’s Forest have had a mixed bag of results of late, failing to win in four games (two draws, two defeats). In contrast, Norwich have won eight Championship games in a row to fire themselves well clear at the top of the table. The Reds can be a tricky opposition on home turf but we fancy Norwich to secure a narrow victory on the road. We’ll be backing the Canaries to win by one goal at odds of 11/4.

17th Mar 2021

19:00 - QPR v Millwall

Draw @ 11/5

London sides Queens Park Rangers and Millwall lock horns at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium in EFL Championship action on Wednesday night. Rangers have been in good form of late, but last weekend’s home loss to Huddersfield Town was certainly a poor result. The Lions have lost just one away game since mid-January and Gary Rowett’s boys will be looking for all three points from this one.

QPR have improved significantly since the turn of the year. In 2021, the R’s have won eight of their 13 Championship games. However, they have picked up just two wins from their past six. Millwall have also been a tough nut to crack lately, losing only two of their previous 13 games in the Championship. On balance, we can see these two London teams playing out a draw in the capital at odds of 11/5.

17th Mar 2021

19:45 - Sheffield Weds v Huddersfield

Huddersfield Town Win @ 19/10

Darren Moore’s Sheffield Wednesday and Carlos Corberan’s Huddersfield Town do battle at Hillsborough this Wednesday in the EFL Championship. The Owls are in freefall at the moment and have lost each of their last seven games. After the excellent weekend win at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, the Terriers will be hoping to make it back-to-back away victories in midweek.

Things are looking bleak for Sheffield Wednesday, who are second from bottom in the Championship. The Owls, who have lost seven games in a row, are seven points away from safety with just 11 games left to play. Huddersfield are in patchy form, but they have picked up five points from their last three and battled to victory at Queens Park Rangers last time out. We fancy Town to pile more misery on Wednesday in this one and we’ll be backing the away win, which is available at odds of 19/10.

17th Mar 2021

19:45 - Birmingham City v Reading

Reading to Win -1 Goal @ 10/3

Promotion-chasing Reading make the trip to the St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium this Wednesday to face Birmingham City in the EFL Championship. Veljko Paunovic’s Royals, who are sitting pretty in fifth place in the table at present, are the favourites to get the win in the Midlands. Aitor Karanka’s Blues have picked up just one home win since October.

Birmingham have been dreadful at St Andrew’s this term, picking up a mere 12 points from 18 home fixtures. In fact, Karanka’s men have the worst home record in the Championship. Reading have been solid away from the Madejski Stadium up until now, with just Norwich City, Brentford, Swansea City and Cardiff City picking up more away points. We fancy the Berkshire club to claim a comfortable win in Birmingham in midweek. Put some money on the visitors to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 10/3.

17th Mar 2021

20:00 - Chelsea v Atletico Madrid

Draw @ 9/4

Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea and Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid meet in a mouth-watering UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg tie at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night. The Blues will be brimming with confidence after winning the first leg 1-0 at the Arena Nationala Bucharest last month. Will the Premier League giants see the job through on home soil or will they come unstuck against the accomplished Spaniards?

Olivier Giroud was the hero in the first game, netting in the 68th minute to give Chelsea a priceless win in Romania. Tuchel’s troops will still need to be very wary of Atleti’s serious attacking threat, but we fancy the London side to complete the job at Stamford Bridge. Tuchel has yet to lose a match in 12 league and cup games as Blues boss (a run that has included eight wins and four draws). You can get odds of 9/4 for Wednesday’s clash to end all square, which looks the most likely option to us.

17th Mar 2021

20:00 - Bayern Munich v Lazio

Bayern Munich to Win -2 Goals @ 15/8

UEFA Champions League holders Bayern Munich should cruise into the last eight of this year’s competition when they entertain Italian side Lazio at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night. After a stunning win in Rome a few weeks back, Hans-Dieter Flick’s men have a commanding lead in this Round of 16 tie. Bayern are the clear favourites to win on the night and we think they will do exactly that.

FC Hollywood, who are top of the Bundesliga, ran riot in the Stadio Olimpico in the first leg. Efforts from Robert Lewandowski, Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sane helped them race to a 4-0 lead. Lazio pulled one back, but the Bavarians held on for a big win. Since then, Munich have won their next three games, scoring 12 goals to boot. We can see them maintaining the momentum with another decent win so have a punt on Bayern to win with a -2 goal handicap in midweek at odds of 15/8.

18th Mar 2021

17:55 - Arsenal v Olympiacos

Arsenal to Win -1 Goal @ 11/10

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal welcome Pedro Martins’ Olympiacos to the Emirates Stadium this Thursday for the 2nd leg of their Round of 16 UEFA Europa League tie. The Gunners have a 3-1 lead after an excellent win in the Karaiskakis Stadium last week. Mikel Arteta’s men will want to see the job through and book their spot in the last eight. Having beaten local rivals Spurs at the weekend they will come in to this with confidence sky high and we fully expect them to win with room to spare.

Arsenal were knocked out of the Europa League by Olympiacos last season, and the Premier League outfit will be desperate not to make the same mistake again. The job is at least half done and they have a handy lead in the tie after a superb away win in Greece, with goals from Martin Odegaard, Gabriel and Mohamed Elneny sealing a 3-1 win. We fancy Arsenal to claim another comfortable victory over the Greek side on Thursday. Take a punt on the hosts to win -1 (11/10).

18th Mar 2021

17:55 - Dinamo Zagreb v Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur Win & BTTS @ 3/1

Jose Mourinho takes his Tottenham Hotspur troops to the Stadion Maksimir in Zagreb to face Dinamo Zagreb this Thursday night looking to bounce back from that 2-1 derby defeat on Sunday. Spurs are at least very much in control of this UEFA Europa League last 16 tie so will expect to put their domestic ups and downs behind them. In the first leg two Harry Kane goals gave the Lilywhites a 2-0 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week. Tottenham are the big favourites to go through and despite the weekend blip we fully expect Mourinho’s troops to complete the job here.

Spurs were not at their vintage best in the 1st leg, but goals from Kane in either half did the business for the Lilywhites. Tottenham are in good form overall, winning five league and cup matches in a row before last weekend’s north London derby defeat to rivals Arsenal. Spurs should bounce back with a Europa League victory on Thursday. We like the look of the Tottenham win and both teams to score at potentially rewarding odds of 3/1.

18th Mar 2021

20:00 - AC Milan v Manchester United

1-1 Draw @ 11/2

This mouth-watering UEFA Europa League tie between Stefano Pioli’s AC Milan and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United is well and truly in the balance after the pair drew 1-1 at Old Trafford last Thursday. The Red Devils were heading for a 1-0 win when young Amad Diallo opened the scoring in the 50th minute. However, Simon Kjaer netted in injury time after a mistake by keeper Dean Henderson to give Milan a 1-1 draw.

Pioli’s troops warmed up for this one with a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Napoli in Serie A. As for Ole’s troops, they beat West Ham United 1-0 in the Premier League, a crucial result given the great form the Hammers have been in. This was always going to be a tight and fascinating Europa League tie between two European heavyweights, and the 2nd leg is likely to be another close encounter. This could go the distance, and another 1-1 draw is available at 11/2. After that, who knows?!

18th Mar 2021

20:00 - Rangers v Slavia Prague

Rangers Win @ 6/5

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers and Jindrich Trpisovsky’s Slavia Prague go head-to-head at Ibrox on Thursday in the 2nd leg of their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 tie. The Gers, who were recently crowned Scottish Premiership champions, are the bookies’ favourites to win on the night and seal their passage through to the Europa League quarter-finals.

Gerrard’s Rangers are having a season to remember, snatching the Premiership title away from fierce rivals Celtic with months of the season left to go and looking good to reach the last eight of the Europa League. After going a goal down early doors in the Sinobo Stadium last week, the Glasgow giants showed plenty of fighting spirit to level before half time and leave Prague with a useful 1-1 draw. Gerrard and co can now focus solely on this competition and if they can get through this tie they may well be dark horses to go all the way. We are backing Rangers to see the job through on Thursday with a home win (6/5).

19th Mar 2021

20:00 - Fulham v Leeds

Draw @ 13/5

On Friday night in the Premier League, Fulham and Leeds United go head-to-head at Craven Cottage. After a superb upswing in fortunes, the Cottagers are now just two points behind Newcastle United in the race for safety and according to the bookies are fancied to survive, having looked doomed just a few weeks ago. As for United, they are currently in 12th spot with 36 points to their name and fans can probably prepare for next season and actually watching their team play (fingers crossed!). Can Fulham pick up another crucial three points at the Cottage as they bid to match Leeds’ survival efforts?

Scott Parker’s men are showing plenty of fighting spirit, winning three of their previous seven in the Premier League. However, they have lost their last two at home to Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. Leeds have won just one of six, losing four times along the way. They did hold Chelsea to a 0-0 draw at Elland Road last weekend, though. There isn’t a great deal between these two right now and we fancy them to play out a draw in London on Friday.

20th Mar 2021

12:15 - Bournemouth v Southampton

Bournemouth Win & BTTS @ 6/1

Bournemouth and Southampton lock horns in an Emirates FA Cup quarter-final at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Cherries are battling for promotion in the EFL Championship, while the Saints are struggling at the wrong end of the Premier League table. This promises to be a cracking FA Cup tie on the south coast.

After wins over Oldham Athletic and Crawley Town, Bournemouth booked their place in the last eight with an impressive 2-0 away victory at Premier League Burnley last month. As for the Saints, they have beaten Shrewsbury Town, Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers so far. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton are the favourites, but they have a number of injuries to key players and are woefully short on confidence. As such, we are backing Jonathan Woodgate’s Cherries to come out on top on home soil. There is good value in the home win and both teams to score at the really big odds of 6/1.

20th Mar 2021

12:30 - Brentford v Nottingham Forest

Brentford HT/FT @ 13/8

On Saturday afternoon, Thomas Frank’s Brentford and Chris Hughton’s Nottingham Forest clash at the Brentford Community Stadium in the EFL Championship. After letting a 2-0 lead slip to draw 2-2 at Derby County in midweek, the west London outfit will be eager to get back to winning ways this weekend. The Bees are the big favourites in this one.

Over the past month or so, Brentford have been in patchy form. Frank’s boys have won three, lost four and drawn one of their past eight in the Championship. Forest are without a win in five though, drawing two and losing three. Brentford have been strong in their new home so far this season, and the promotion chasers should ease past the Reds on Saturday. Check out the solid odds of 13/8 for the hosts to be winning at half time and full time.

20th Mar 2021

15:00 - Watford v Birmingham

Watford to Win -1 Goal @ 6/4

Xisco Munoz’s Watford are one of the form teams in the EFL Championship at the minute. On Saturday afternoon, the Premier League-chasing Hornets welcome Lee Bowyer’s Birmingham City to Vicarage Road. Bowyer picked up a stunning win in his first Blues game in midweek, but this will be a stern test for the Championship strugglers.

Watford head into this weekend’s home match having won eight of their past nine in the Championship. On Tuesday, Munoz’s men thumped Rotherham United 4-1 at the New York Stadium. The Hornets have the best home record in the division, winning 14 of 18. Birmingham picked up an excellent home win over Reading on Wednesday night, but Watford should be too strong for City this weekend. Put some money on the Hornets to win -1 at 6/4.

20th Mar 2021

17:30 - Everton v Manchester City

Manchester City to Win -1 Goal @ 5/6

Pep Guardiola takes his Manchester City troops to Goodison Park this Saturday to play Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton in an Emirates FA Cup tie. As expected, the runaway Premier League leaders are the strong favourites to win this quarter-final and book their spot in the last four. However, can the Toffees cause an upset on their own patch? It hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for them in the league during the no-fans era but will the FA Cup rouse something in them?

Everton are having a solid season under Ancelotti, but they head into this cup clash having lost two in a row in the Premier League. City are in imperious form, winning 24 of their previous 25 league and cup fixtures. The Citizens have seen off Birmingham City, Cheltenham Town and Swansea City in the FA Cup so far, and they should add Everton to that list at the weekend. The hosts will be without Jordan Pickford, James and perhaps most importantly, the legs and energy of Abdoulaye Doucoure and that will hurt their chances for sure. Put a few quid on Man City to win -1 at solid enough odds of 5/6.

20th Mar 2021

17:30 - Swansea v Cardiff

Draw & Under 2.5 Goals @ 5/2

Rivals Swansea City and Cardiff City lock horns at the Liberty Stadium in EFL Championship action on Saturday evening. This South Wales derby is always a spicy affair to say the least, and Saturday’s showdown should be no different, even played in an empty stadium. The Swans picked up a 2-0 win when the pair met in the Welsh capital back in December, but there has never been a league double in this fixture. Can Swansea make history on Saturday?

Steve Cooper’s boys warmed up for this one with a poor 3-0 loss at Bournemouth, which was arguably their worst performance of the season. Cardiff have lost only one game under Mick McCarthy, but the Bluebirds have picked up just one win from their past five. We can see these fierce rivals playing out a tense draw at the Liberty. Take a punt on the draw and under 2.5 goals at a nice price of 5/2.

20th Mar 2021

20:00 - Brighton v Newcastle

Brighton & Hove Albion Win @ 13/20

Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United meet in a big Premier League fixture at the Amex Stadium on Saturday night. After Fulham’s recent resurgence, both clubs have been drawn into the relegation battle and this is a bona fide relegation six-pointer. The Seagulls are in 16th spot with 29 points to their name, while the Magpies are a point and a place behind. Will we see a winner in this basement battle or will there be cheers from Craven Cottage with a draw?

Graham Potter’s Brighton have had a tough month, but they did pick up a precious three points on the road last weekend. Goals from Lewis Dunk and Leandro Trossard gave Albion a 2-1 win in a derby clash at Southampton. Steve Bruce’s Newcastle have drawn three in a row in the Premier League, though they have picked up just two league wins since December. We fancy Brighton to nick the points in this one (13/20).

21st Mar 2021

13:30 - Chelsea v Sheffield United

Chelsea to Win -1 Goal @ 4/6

Chelsea welcome Sheffield United to Stamford Bridge for an Emirates FA Cup quarter-final this Sunday. Thomas Tuchel has made a stunning start to life in west London, guiding the Blues to nine wins and four draws from 13 league and cup games. Chelsea are the overwhelming favourites to see off struggling Sheffield United and book their place in the last four of the FA Cup. Can Chelsea’s new boss guide them to Wembley and perhaps silverware in his first season in charge?

The Blues beat Atletico Madrid in midweek to progress to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League. In the Premier League, six wins and four draws under Tuchel has lifted them into the top four. The Premier League and Champions League remain the priority, but Chelsea would love to add a ninth FA Cup to their trophy cabinet. This looks a simple enough game for them so back the hosts to win -1 on Sunday at 4/6.

21st Mar 2021

15:00 - West Ham v Arsenal

West Ham to Win by One Goal @ 15/4

David Moyes’ West Ham United and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal meet in an-London Premier League affair at the London Stadium on Sunday. The Hammers are having an exceptional season, sitting in fifth place with an impressive 48 points to their name. Three points for the Irons this weekend will put them level with Chelsea, who currently occupy the final UEFA Champions League spot. A top four finish might be a lot to ask but the Hammers are certainly right in the hunt and continue to impress.

West Ham have been incredibly strong on their own patch lately, winning six of their previous seven league and cup games at the London Stadium. The Gunners are also in decent form, but Arteta’s men have already lost six times on the road in this season’s Premier League. The Gunners were in midweek action too so with the hosts a little fresher we think they can edge this. We fancy United to claim a narrow victory on home soil this Sunday – back the Hammers to win by one at 15/4.

21st Mar 2021

17:00 - Leicester v Manchester United

Manchester United Win & BTTS @ 7/2

The standout Emirates FA Cup quarter-final of the weekend sees Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United lock horns at the King Power Stadium on Sunday evening. This promises to be a cracking FA Cup tie between two teams that are separated by just one point in the Premier League table. Both clubs have a fine array of attacking players so neutrals could be in for a treat.

The pair played out a thriller in the league on Boxing Day, with Leicester coming from behind twice to hold the Red Devils to a 2-2 draw at the King Power. However, in the Premier League last term, Ole’s boys did the double over the Foxes, winning 1-0 at Old Trafford and 2-0 at the King Power. We can see Man United nicking a narrow FA Cup win in Leicester on Sunday night. Back the away win and both teams to score at the very big price of 7/2.

21st Mar 2021

19:30 - Aston Villa v Tottenham

Draw @ 23/10

The final Premier League game before the first international break of 2021 will take place at Villa Park on Sunday night, as Dean Smith’s Aston Villa entertain Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur. After a gut-wrenching UEFA Europa League defeat in midweek, Spurs will be hoping to bounce back with a big three points in the Premier League at the weekend. Just as they seemed to be back on track, things have fallen apart but they need to focus on finishing as high up the table as possible now.

Villa are having a fine season under Smith, sitting comfortably in ninth place with 41 points to their name. Overall, the Villans have won 12, drawn five and lost 10 of their 27 league games. In contrast, Spurs have had a poor campaign by their high standards. Before this weekend’s action, Tottenham are just four points above Villa in eighth. Jose’s boys will be desperate for a win, but we fancy Aston Villa to hold the Londoners to a draw (23/10).

24th Mar 2021

19:45 - Serbia v Republic of Ireland

Serbia Win @ 7/10

The Republic of Ireland begin their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with a trip to Belgrade to take on Serbia in Group A on Wednesday. This will be a stern test for Stephen Kenny and his men, but can the Boys in Green leave the Serbian capital with something to show for their efforts? Portugal, Luxembourg and Azerbaijan make up Group A but a win here for Ireland would put them in a very strong position at this early stage in proceedings.

Kenny has had a tough time since taking over the Ireland job, failing to win a game so far. Before a UEFA Nations League draw with Bulgaria last time out, the Republic had lost three matches in a row. Serbia have also struggled for wins in recent games, winning only one of their previous seven, but Dragan Stojkovic’s boys will fancy their chances on home soil in midweek. The home win is priced at odds of 7/10 which looks decent value given Ireland’s lack of consistency recently.

24th Mar 2021

19:45 - Belgium v Wales

Belgium to Win -1 Goal @ 10/11

On Wednesday night, Belgium and Wales clash at Den Dreef in Leuven for a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Group E. Robert Page will once again take charge of the Dragons in Ryan Giggs’ absence. These two are expected to battle it out for top spot in qualifying Group E with Czech Republic, Belarus and Estonia being the other sides looking to cause upsets. The Belgians are the favourites but will the hosts get off to a winning start on Wednesday night?

Martinez’s men ended 2020 in red-hot form, winning four in a row after losing to England at Wembley Stadium in October. The defeat to the Three Lions remains Belgium’s only loss since a 5-2 reverse to Switzerland in a UEFA Nations League game way back in November 2018. Wales are also in excellent form but the Red Devils could be too strong in Leuven. Take a punt on the hosts to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 10/11.

25th Mar 2021

19:45 - England v San Marino

England to Win -5 Goals @ 3/10

Gareth Southgate’s England will be looking to get their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign up and running with a handsome victory over minnows San Marino at Wembley Stadium on Thursday night. As expected, the Three Lions are the overwhelming favourites in this one. It could be a cricket score in the English capital and this is one of the few fixtures that often makes a mockery of the cliché about there being no easy games in international football any more.

With Poland, Hungary, Albania and Andorra also in the group, the Three Lions certainly got a nice draw. They will fancy their chances of winning Group I and securing direct qualification to the 2022 World Cup and really it is only likely to be Poland who give them any trouble at all. When these two nations last met, Theo Walcott helped himself to a brace as England ran out big 6-0 winners in Serravalle back in 2015. We fancy a similar kind of scoreline in this one, so take a punt on the home team to win -5 at 3/10, another solid option for a Thursday night accumulator.

25th Mar 2021

19:45 - Scotland v Austria

Austria Win & BTTS @ 4/1

Steve Clarke’s Scotland welcome Franco Foda’s Austria to Hampden Park in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Thursday night. Having qualified for UEFA Euro 2020, can the Scots reach a World Cup for the first time since 1998? Clarke and his troops would love to get their qualifying campaign up and running with victory in Glasgow in midweek, but the Austrians are the favourites.

Since beating Serbia in a play-off to qualify for the Euros, Scotland have lost back-to-back UEFA Nations League games to Slovakia and Israel. That won’t overly concern them but Austria head to Glasgow in excellent form, winning five in a row before drawing with Norway last time out. This could be close on the scoreline, but we fancy the away side to nick the points at Hampden. Take a punt on the Austria win and both teams to score at 4/1.

25th Mar 2021

19:45 - Italy v Northern Ireland

Italy to Win to Nil @ 4/7

Italy and Northern Ireland meet in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Group C on Thursday night. Ian Baraclough takes his Norn Iron troops to the Stadio Ennio Tardini in Parma. The Italians have been superb under Roberto Mancini, and Gli Azzurri are the big favourites to start Group C with a comfortable three points.

After a 1-1 UEFA Nations League draw with Holland, Italy have won three in a row, scoring eight and conceding none. The Italians have not been beaten since a 1-0 reverse to Portugal way back in September 2018. In contrast, Northern Ireland’s last win in normal time was in October 2019. Unfortunately for the Green and White Army, we fancy Italy to secure an easy home win. There is an obvious gulf in class here so back the hosts to win to nil at 4/7, a solid addition for any midweek accas.

27th Mar 2021

19:45 - Rep of Ireland v Luxembourg

Republic of Ireland HT/FT @ 6/5

After kicking off their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with a tough defeat to Serbia on Wednesday, Republic of Ireland welcome Luxembourg to the Aviva Stadium for their second Group A fixture this Saturday. Stephen Kenny’s men are the strong favourites to put three points on the board in Dublin. Can the Irish strike back with a handsome win on home soil against much less troublesome opposition?

Ireland have been in poor form of late and have failed to win a home game since a 3-1 friendly triumph over New Zealand back in September 2019. Luxembourg are without a win in four since UEFA Nations League victories over Cyprus and Montenegro and have lost three and drawn one. This will be the first meeting between the two since a friendly back in 1987, which Ireland won 2-1. Luxembourg aren’t the complete whipping boys they once were but they are still way short of Ireland in terms of quality and experience. We fancy the Irish to secure a comfortable home victory on Saturday, so back the hosts to be winning at half time and full time at odds of 6/5.

27th Mar 2021

20:00 - Wales v Mexico

Wales Win @ 2/1

On Saturday evening, Wales welcome Mexico to the Cardiff City Stadium in an international friendly. These two nations squared off in a friendly fixture at the Rose Bowl in California just three years ago, with the game ending in a goalless draw in the States. The Dragons have been very solid at the Cardiff City Stadium in recent years and the hosts will fancy their chances of getting the win in this one.

Wales kicked off their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification bid with a loss in Leuven against Belgium on Wednesday night. Despite taking a 10th minute lead through Harry Wilson, Belgium took control and ran out 3-1 victors. Next Tuesday, the Welsh entertain Czech Republic on matchday two of their qualification campaign. Ahead of the midweek reverse in Belgium, Wales had lost only one of their previous 14 fixtures, winning nine times along the way. We think the Welsh will return to winning ways here and we’re taking a punt on the hosts to win this one in Cardiff at decent odds of 2/1.

28th Mar 2021

17:00 - Albania v England

England to Win -1 Goal @ 10/11

Gareth Southgate’s England travel to Albania this weekend for their second 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier. The Three Lions started their campaign with an easy home win over San Marino at Wembley Stadium on Thursday. This will no doubt be a harder task but England will be targeting another three points. The away team are the 2/7 favourites with the bookies sop anything other than a decent victory would be a major upset but Albania will be no pushovers on home soil.

As expected, England cruised past San Marino at Wembley in midweek, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin (2), James Ward-Prowse, Raheem Sterling and Ollie Watkins getting the goals in a 5-0 romp. The Three Lions have scored nine and shipped none on their last two games. Albania, who have won four in a row, could be tricky opponents but Southgate’s side should get the points in Tirana. You can get England to win with a -1 goal handicap at the solid price of 10/11, which looks like the bet for us.

28th Mar 2021

17:05 - Northern Ireland v USA

United States Win @ 10/11

Northern Ireland welcome United States to Windsor Park this Sunday for an international friendly match that will be a decent test for both sides. Ian Baraclough has a pretty miserable record since taking over, so the Norn Iron boss will be desperate for a win this weekend. On Wednesday night next week, the Green and White Army welcome Bulgaria to Belfast in a huge 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Northern Ireland kicked off their World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Italy in Parma. They certainly played their part in the Stadio Ennio Tardini on Thursday, but the loss extended their winless run to six games. USA have been in superb form of late, winning four in a row since a 0-0 draw with Wales back in November. Unfortunately for Baraclough and his boys, we fancy the States to win this one in Belfast, an outcome that looks good value at odds of 10/11.

28th Mar 2021

19:45 - Israel v Scotland

Draw & BTTS @ 15/4

Steve Clarke takes his Scotland troops to Tel Aviv to play familiar opponents Israel in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Sunday. The showdown at Bloomfield Stadium will be the sixth meeting between the two nations in less than three years. When they last locked horns, Israel picked up a 1-0 home win in a UEFA Nations League encounter back in November. Can the Scots get revenge this weekend or will they struggle to get their first qualifying win on the board?

Scotland kicked off their World Cup qualifying campaign with a hard-fought 2-2 draw with Austria on Thursday night. Clarke’s boys battled back to come from behind twice to pick up a precious point in Glasgow. As for Israel, they lost 2-0 at home to Denmark and didn’t look too impressive. Both nations could do with maximum points in this one or they could get left behind in the race to qualify from the group. But we can see the pair playing out a draw in Tel Aviv as the sides are fairly evening matched. There is good value in the draw and both teams to score in this one at odds of 15/4.

30th Mar 2021

19:45 - Wales v Czech Republic

Draw @ 15/8

Wales entertain Czech Republic at the Cardiff City Stadium this Tuesday in a huge 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier. After a 3-1 defeat to Belgium in Leuven on matchday one, the Dragons will be looking for all three points from this one. The Czechs have started well, taking four points from their opening two fixtures. This promises to be an intriguing qualifier in Cardiff and a win for either side could prove highly significant in the race for qualification.

Wales took the lead in Leuven thanks to a smart Harry Wilson goal, but Belgium’s superior qualities shined through in the end, with Kevin De Bruyne, Thorgan Hazard and Romelu Lukaku netting in a 3-1 win for the Red Devils. As for Czech Republic, after a 6-2 triumph in Estonia, they held the Belgians to a 1-1 draw in Prague last weekend. Wales need the points and will push their opponents all the way but we can see the Czechs holding the Dragons to a draw on Tuesday, an outcome that is available to back at odds of 15/8.

30th Mar 2021

19:45 - Qatar v Rep of Ireland

Republic of Ireland to Win -1 Goal @ odds

Stephen Kenny’s Republic of Ireland travel to the Nagyerdei Stadium in Hungary to face 2022 FIFA World Cup hosts Qatar in an international friendly fixture this Tuesday. Kenny has had tough time in the Ireland dugout since taking over, but the Irish should come out on top in Debrecen. Will Kenny pick up his first victory as Ireland boss in midweek?

The Republic have not won since Mick McCarthy guided them to a 3-1 friendly victory over Bulgaria way back in September 2019. The Boys in Green have started World Cup qualifying in woeful fashion, losing 3-2 in Serbia before a humiliating 1-0 loss to Luxembourg in Dublin last Saturday. Still, we fancy Kenny’s boys to seal a comfortable win in Hungary on Tuesday night. Back Ireland to win with a -1 goal handicap in this one.

31st Mar 2021

19:45 - England v Poland

England to Win to Nil @ 21/20

England and Poland square off in a mouth-watering 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday night. The Three Lions lead the way in Group I with six points to their name, with the Poles in second on four. These two are expected to battle it out for top spot and the automatic qualification place for next year’s World Cup in Qatar so a victory for either side here could be a massive result.

After a very easy – and fully expected – 5-0 home win over San Marino, Gareth Southgate’s men did enough to seal a 2-0 victory over Albania in Tirana last time out. Before beating Andorra 3-0, Poland started their campaign with a 3-3 draw with Hungary in Budapest. The English have kept two clean sheets so far, and you can get the decent price of 21/20 for England to win to nil once again at Wembley on Wednesday.

31st Mar 2021

19:45 - Scotland v Faroe Islands

Scotland HT/FT @ 8/13

Steve Clarke’s Scotland and Hakan Ericson’s Faroe Islands lock horns at Hampden Park on Wednesday night. After draws with Austria and Israel, the Scots will be desperate for all three points from this crucial 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier. Scotland have slipped up in these types of games in the past but Clarke’s boys should ease to victory in this one without too much drama.

Scotland came from behind twice to pick up a 2-2 draw with the Austrians in Glasgow on matchday one. They then battled to a 1-1 draw with Israel in Tel Aviv at the weekend. Faroe Islands drew 1-1 in Moldova before a 3-1 reverse in Austria. Scotland should secure their first three points of Group F in midweek, and we like the look of the hosts to be winning at half time and full time at a reasonable price of 8/13.

31st Mar 2021

19:45 - Northern Ireland v Bulgaria

Northern Ireland to Win by One Goal @ 5/2

This Wednesday, Northern Ireland welcome Bulgaria to Windsor Park for a vital 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier. Ian Baraclough’s boys played their part but were beaten by Italy in Parma in their opening qualifier last week. Yasen Petrov’s Bulgarians have kicked off their campaign with back-to-back defeats to Switzerland and Italy and look there for the taking. Can the Green and White Army pick up a precious three points in this one?

Northern Ireland had their chances at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, but two goals in the first half in Parma did the business for the Italians. Bulgaria lost 3-1 at home to the Swiss before a 2-0 home reverse to Italy last time out. This will be another stern test for Petrov’s troops. It could be close on the scoreline, so take a punt on Norn Iron to win by one goal at odds of 5/2.

2nd Apr 2021

17:30 - Barnsley v Reading

Barnsley Win & BTTS @ 4/1

Barnsley and Reading square off in a huge EFL Championship fixture this Friday. With the pair battling for promotion to the Premier League, both teams will be looking for all three points from this one at Oakwell. The Tykes were beaten last time out, but Valerien Ismael’s men are the bookies’ favourites to get the victory that would put them in a great position to end the season in the play-offs.

Barnsley’s stunning 12-game unbeaten run in the Championship came to an end before the international break, as they were beaten at home by lowly Sheffield Wednesday. Prior to that, the Yorkshire side had won nine and drawn three of their last 12 league fixtures. Veljko Paunovic’s Reading are without a win in three games, drawing two and losing one, and are in danger of dropping out of the top six. Barnsley have let the opposition score in four of their last five victories and we can see that happening again here. We’re backing the home win and both teams to score here at odds of 4/1.

2nd Apr 2021

20:00 - Birmingham v Swansea

Birmingham City Win @ 11/5

Lee Bowyer’s Birmingham City and Steve Cooper’s Swansea City meet in EFL Championship action at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium on Friday night. After losing to rivals Cardiff City in a South Wales derby before the international break, the promotion-chasing Swans will be desperate for all three points here. The away team head to the West Midlands as the favourites but Birmingham will not rollover for Swansea in this one.

Bowyer started with an excellent 2-1 home win over Reading, though the Blues were easily beaten at Watford last time out. Swansea have lost back-to-back games for the first time this season, losing 3-0 at Bournemouth before their gut-wrenching defeat to Cardiff. Birmingham have struggled at home all season but they have won two of their last three matches at St Andrew’s. The home victory this Friday is nicely priced at odds of 11/5 and that’s the bet for us.

3rd Apr 2021

12:30 - Chelsea v West Brom

Chelsea to Win -2 Goals @ 13/8

Thomas Tuchel will be hoping to maintain his unbeaten start when his Chelsea side welcome Sam Allardyce’s West Bromwich Albion to Stamford Bridge in the Premier League this Saturday. This looks a mismatch on paper, as the Blues look to nail down a UEFA Champions League spot, while the Baggies are moving closer and closer to relegation back to the EFL Championship.

Tuchel has hit the ground running at Chelsea since taking over in west London. The German boss is unbeaten in 14 league and cup games, winning 10 and drawing four and making his side very difficult to score against. However, Chelsea have drawn three of their last five in the Premier League so Baggies fans will be hoping that the honeymoon period is over. However, after a goalless draw at Elland Road in their last league fixture, the Blues will be eager to return to winning ways in style this Saturday. They should be able to do it too against a really poor side so back Chelsea to win -2 at 13/8.

3rd Apr 2021

12:30 - Huddersfield v Brentford

Brentford Win @ 4/5

Thomas Frank’s Brentford make the trip to the John Smith’s Stadium to face Carlos Corberan’s Huddersfield Town in the EFL Championship’s only game on Saturday. The Terriers are unbeaten in four (one win, three draws) but are down in 18th place. The Bees, who have drawn their last two, are seven points off second in fourth but will still be hoping they can nick an automatic promotion spot.

Huddersfield have certainly made themselves hard to beat in recent games, seeing off Queens Park Rangers, and drawing with Birmingham City, Cardiff City and Sheffield Wednesday. However, Saturday’s fixture with Brentford will be their toughest challenge in quite some time. Only Norwich City and Cardiff have picked up more away points than the Bees so far, and Frank’s boys will fancy their chances of winning this one. The away win at 4/5 is definitely worth having a punt on.

3rd Apr 2021

15:00 - Leeds v Sheffield United

Leeds United to Win to Nil @ 6/4

Yorkshire sides Leeds United and Sheffield United square off at Elland Road in Premier League action this Saturday. The Blades are on their way back down to the EFL Championship after a woeful season in the top flight. As for Marcelo Bielsa’s boys, they are sitting pretty in 11th having picked up an excellent 39 points from 29 fixtures. Safety was their first aim and freak maths aside, that is achieved, so now they will be targeting a finish inside the top half of the table.

After two defeats, Leeds have hit back with four points from their last two. They held Chelsea to a 0-0 draw at Elland Road before sealing a superb 2-1 win at Fulham last time out. Sheffield United, who recently parted company with Chris Wilder, have lost six of their last seven in the Premier League. Leeds picked up all three points and kept a clean sheet at Bramall Lane earlier in the season. You can get 6/4 for Bielsa’s men to win to nil again and that is good value with the Blades having struggled for goals all season.

17:30 - Leicester v Manchester City

Manchester City Win & BTTS @ 12/5

The standout Premier League fixture of the weekend is Saturday evening’s showdown at the King Power Stadium between Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. The Foxes have had another sensational season in the Premier League, but taming in-form Man City, who are a whopping 14 points clear at the top, will take some doing. If they can do it they may just give themselves, Man United and Chelsea some hope but in reality the visitors should prove a cut above.

Leicester are in good form, winning three league and cup games in a row since a 1-1 Premier League draw at Burnley. In their last fixture, Rodgers’ boys beat Manchester United to reach the last four of the Emirates FA Cup so will be looking for a Manchester double. Man City are in staggering form though, winning 25 of their last 26 in all competitions. Leicester will play their part, but the leaders should prevail. Back the away win and both teams to score at the very nice price of 12/5.

20:00 - Arsenal v Liverpool

Liverpool to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

On Saturday night at the Emirates Stadium, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool meet in the Premier League. The Gunners are unbeaten in four in league action, winning two and drawing two. Although Liverpool have been in poor form of late, Klopp’s troops have won five of their last six away games. Despite this improved form, the duo are in ninth and seventh respectively, something nobody could have predicted.

This will be the fourth Arsenal v Liverpool game of the season. The Gunners beat the Reds in the FA Community Shield and in the EFL Cup, but the reverse league meeting at Anfield ended in a comfortable 3-1 win for Liverpool. As we touched on, the Merseyside outfit have stayed pretty solid on the road during this rough patch, and we fancy the Reds to edge this one at the Emirates. Take a punt on the visitors to win by one (3/1).

4th Apr 2021

12:00 - Southampton v Burnley

Draw @ 23/10

Southampton and Burnley go head-to-head at St Mary’s in Premier League action on Sunday afternoon. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men have been in woeful form since the turn of the year, picking up just two league victories in 2021. These two sides have both accumulated 33 points from 29 games, and this one could go either way in Hampshire. Neither are safe from the threat of relegation as things stand so three points for either side could be highly significant.

Since kicking off 2021 with a superb 1-0 home win over champions Liverpool, Southampton have taken just four points from a possible 36. As a result, the Saints have slipped down to 14th position in the table. Sean Dyche’s Burnley have been tough to beat in recent months and have lost only one of their last eight games in the Premier League, though five of those have ended in draws. With both sides being wary of losing, we can see this one ending all square at St Mary’s on Sunday. And that’s what we’ll be backing at odds of 23/10.

14:05 - Newcastle v Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur HT/FT @ 6/4

Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United welcome Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur to St James’ Park in the Premier League this Sunday with the home side getting increasingly desperate for points. The Magpies are living dangerously close to the edge, as 18th-placed Fulham are only two points behind in the battle for survival. As for Tottenham, they are three points away from the final UEFA Champions League place and will want to build on the good results they posted prior to the international break.

Newcastle are without a win in six since a 3-2 home victory over Southampton on 6th February. Before the international break, Bruce’s boys crashed to a damaging 3-0 defeat at Brighton and Hove Albion. Spurs’ league form has improved, with the Lilywhites winning four of their last five. We fancy Mourinho’s men to secure a comfortable away victory this weekend. Take a punt on Tottenham to be winning at half time and full time at the solid odds of 6/4.

4th Apr 2021

16:30 - Aston Villa v Fulham

Aston Villa to Win by One Goal @ 3/1

On Sunday afternoon at Villa Park, Dean Smith’s Aston Villa and Scott Parker’s Fulham go head-to-head in the Premier League. This is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who are two points adrift of safety in 18th place in the table. Villa have had a fine season up until now and the Midlands club are sitting pretty in tenth spot at the time of writing.

Despite their lofty league position, Aston Villa are without a win in four (two draws, two defeats). In fact, Smith’s troops have picked up just one Premier League victory from their last six matches. Fulham have improved drastically since the turn of the year but Parker’s boys have suffered three defeats in their last four league games. This could be close but we are backing Villa to nick a home win. Check out the top odds of 3/1 for the hosts to win by a one goal margin.

4th Apr 2021

19:30 - Manchester United v Brighton

Manchester United to Win to Nil @ 13/8

Sunday’s final Premier League game sees Manchester United and Brighton and Hove Albion lock horns at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are clinging on to second spot, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are currently eight points above West Ham United in fifth. Brighton moved six points clear of the drop zone with an excellent win over Newcastle United last time out.

Man United were knocked out of the Emirates FA Cup by Leicester City in their last outing, but the Red Devils are unbeaten in nine in the Premier League. Although the Seagulls secured a stunning win before the break, United will be targeting a comfortable home victory this weekend. Three of Man United’s last five home league successes have come with clean sheets and we’ll be backing the hosts to win this one to nil at odds of 13/8.

5th Apr 2021

12:30 - Middlesbrough v Watford

Watford Win @ 11/5

Middlesbrough and Watford meet in a tasty EFL Championship fixture at the Riverside Stadium on Monday afternoon. Boro are still hunting down a play-off berth, while the Hornets will be hoping to move another step closer to promotion back to the Premier League. Monday’s matchup is a huge one for the pair.

Middlesbrough have been solid enough at home this term, winning 10 of their 19 games at the Riverside. Since a 3-1 reverse to Bristol City at the end of February, Boro have taken seven points from a possible nine on home soil. Watford have fared far better at Vicarage Road than they have away from home this term, but the Hornets have won four of their previous five matches on their travels. In-form Watford will fancy their chances in this one and the away win looks a fine option at the available odds of 11/5.

5th Apr 2021

17:30 - Sheffield Wednesday v Cardiff

Cardiff City to Win to Nil @ 5/2

Darren Moore’s Sheffield Wednesday entertain Mick McCarthy’s Cardiff City at Hillsborough this Monday evening in the EFL Championship. The Owls are fighting tooth and nail for survival, while the Bluebirds are looking to finish in the play-offs once again. Therefore, both clubs will be desperate for maximum points from Monday’s game in the Steel City.

Moore picked up his first win as Wednesday boss before the international break, shocking in-form Barnsley at Oakwell. In Cardiff’s last away game, McCarthy’s men left the Liberty Stadium with a 1-0 win over fierce rivals Swansea City. City are one of the best away teams in the league and have collected 33 points on their travels. Our money is going on the Welsh side here and we think they will put in a dominant display. Cardiff have kept a number of clean sheets lately and the visitors are priced at odds of 5/2 to win to nil on Monday, which is the bet for us.

5th Apr 2021

18:00 - Everton v Crystal Palace

Draw & BTTS @ 4/1

Everton welcome Crystal Palace to Goodison Park this Monday in an intriguing Premier League fixture. The Toffees are hunting down a European place, while Palace are looking for a top 10 finish. When the pair locked horns at Selhurst Park back in September, Everton left with a 2-1 win. Will the Merseysiders complete a league double over Palace this Monday?

After a decent run of three Premier League wins in a row, Carlo Ancelotti’s boys faltered and went on to lose their next three league and cup games on the spin, losing to Manchester City in an Emirates FA Cup quarter-final last time out. Crystal Palace have lost only one of their previous five games in the league and they beat West Bromwich Albion at Selhurst Park in their last one. We fancy the Eagles to nick a point here, and there is good value in the draw and both teams to score at odds of 4/1.

5th Apr 2021

20:15 - Wolves v West Ham

West Ham United Win & BTTS @ 5/1

West Ham United travel to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night with the visitors looking to maintain their unexpected push for a top four finish. The Hammers have been the surprise package in the Premier League this season and have won 14 of their 29 matches to date. Can David Moyes’ men leave the West Midlands with another precious three points? The Londoners are the slight favourites with the bookies and we think they have the momentum and belief to get the job done.

West Ham were 3-0 up against Arsenal in their last outing, with the Gunners coming back to draw 3-3. As a result, United have picked up just one win from their last four. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have endured a tough season in the top flight, however, and Wolves have drawn two and lost two of their past four matches. We are backing West Ham to return to winning ways on Monday. Check out the away win and both teams to score at a nice price of 5/1.
